Nelson didn't hate Frodd. He just didn't like how Frodd was going on about him and Esther. Esther also told Frodd to his face about the inappropriate touch so it wasn't something she covered up. In fact, it was the reason she declined him which she told him cos she was all over him initially.

Esther said she's seeing another side of him now, which is better than his lack of self control initially.

Yes. Most hated Esther for turning down Frodd which was even exacerbated by his blackmail. Everyone was always cursing Esther whenever Frodd was complaining about her to Omashola, Ike or other house mates. Or whenever they saw her with Nelson while Frodd was complaining about them.
