Crazy banking system we got in Nigeria. What is happening is that when you're making a purchase on Aliexpress with your Naira card, the banks are selling you dollars for that transactions at a mark up rate. Now when you get a refund (as is the case here), the bank is seeing the refund as an inbound fund transfer to your account (like Western Union and MoneyGram etc does). Because CBN does not allow such inflow to get to the customer in forex, the banks now convert it for you using the prevailing rates for inbound forex instead of reversing back your naira on hold (no settlement will be made to Aliexpress until after 45 days.

Thanks a lot. I think I know a little about buying and selling rate. I still don't see it has the explanation for giving me 50,272 for 169 usd.. It's a slap on our banking system, [mistake or not].

It depends on your membership status though... But 3-15 working days is enough for you to be refunded.
Contact your bank.... Some banks like Ecobank can delay refund unnecessary. Very horrible bank with worst customer service relationship.

10 -15 days. sometimes it can come 5-10 days. mine came 12 days. just relax it will arrive.
