Nadingo: I'm a northerner, and the truth is, goat meat was not fancied here , not just among the fulanis, but across the board while we were growing up. I can say that it was the influx of the Igbos and other southern tribes that made us start seeing goat meat as worth consuming (I am now a pro as I no dey take eye see ogbono or eguisi with goat meat). We only do cow and ram around here. Goat meat is usually referred to as karamin dabba, that is, a small animal. There are lots of elderly people and people in rural areas who still would not touch goat meat with a long spoon.
