Politics / Nigerians In 40 Years Servitude To Foreign Countries - Courtesy Buhari’s Legacy! by z07ion: 7:39pm On Jan 14, 2023
It will take Nigeria as a nation over 40 years to exit its foreign and domestic loans which previous and present administrations covetously acquired to spite the faces of almost 200 million poverty-stricken citizens to whom dividends of democracy will remain a mirage without divine intervention!

According to the Debt Management Office (DMO), Nigeria’s debt profile was NGN44 trillion naira as at January 2023, and with the addition of “ways and means' CBN’s printed paper currencies debt balance of NGN 22.7 trillion will rise to above NGN 71 trillion naira by the time the old General departs office on 29th May 2023!

Disbursement of foreign or local loans according to international best practice should be targeted towards Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, Entertainment, infrastructural development to build strong institutions, strengthening of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs), sustaining formidable industrial production instead of indulging in mass consumption of finished products of other nations and ensuring that all citizens are profitably engaged to support the economy.

But from 1999 to date beginning with Obasanjo and the host of them, late Umaru Yar’adua, Goodluck Jonathan and now retired Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, were only disposed to concurrent expenditures of payment of monthly salaries/allowances, doling financial bail-out to indigent States with BORROWED MONEY and also subsidizing petroleum products which President Buhari himself described as fraudulent before and when he eventually assumed office – and which he had failed to remove in Eight Years!

WE HAVE BEEN BORROWING TO FUND PETROL SUBSIDY SAYS FINANCE MINISTER!

At the public presentation of details of the 2023 Budget, Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed said government had been borrowing to fund fuel subsidy. She also said that petrol subsidy would remain up to mid 2023, the 18-month extension announced early in the year 2022 and that ₦3.36 trillion had been provided for the PMS subsidy up to June 2023.

As for APC presidential candidate ‘Bola Tinubu, “the fuel subsidy regime must end if he were elected as president”. He said subsidy was anti-poor and it must go.
But for ‘Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman for Buhari, his principal could not remove the subsidy in his two terms because he had to contend with the Labour Unions and the people who were ready to create uproar; therefore government had to weigh its options because of the social consequences.
The conclusion of this discourse is that the entire eight-year of Buhari in office as President of Nigeria was totally fraudulent and should be probed for aiding and abetting financial crimes!

THE EIGHT AND FINAL 2023 DEFICIT BUDGET OF BUHARI IS ANOTHER ABOMINABLE DOCUMENT OF NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT!

*Debt Service is ₦6.5trillion naira. It is ₦29% of total expenditure and attracts an interest payment of ₦1.2trillion naira on “Ways and Means”.
*Capital Expenditure: ₦6.46 trillion naira which is 30% of total expenditure.
*Recurrent (non-debt) expenditure - ₦8.3 trillion naira.
*Statutory Transfer- ₦967.4 billion naira.

ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE PADDING BY HEARTLESS LAWMAKERS!

The deficit 2023 budget was increased from ₦20.5 trillion as presented to the National Assembly by Major General Muhammadu Buhari in October 2022, to ₦21.8 trillion, an increase of over ₦1.3 trillion naira!
The legislators also increased the Oil benchmark price from $70 to $75 in order to reflect the current international market values while daily Oil production was put at 1.69 million (bpd) barrel per day while exchange rate was pegged at ₦435 naira per dollar, in spite of noticeable hyper-inflation on goods and services not excluding Food Inflation/Insecurity!

The 2022 budget implementation was also extended to March 2023 for ongoing projects to be completed. But it is certain that in an election year when massive campaigns were taking place in all the six geo-political zones, all projects would be at a standstill.

But for certainty all unspent monies would definitely go into private pockets as planned instead of being returned into THE TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT (TSA)!

Buhari noted at the signing ceremony of 3rd January 2023, that the National Assembly had padded the budget as usual by injecting new and additional revenues to the tune of NGN765.79 billion and an unfunded deficit of NGN 553.46 billion, but still went ahead to sign the debt-ridden document!
He noted that the National Assembly introduced new projects into the 2023 budget proposal for which it had appropriated NGN770.72 billion. The Legislators also increased the provisions made by Ministries Departments and Agencies by NGN58.55 billion naira!

Buhari’s reason of assent to the FORGED DEFICIT DOCUMENT was officially premised on avoidance of DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION; but on the other hand the outgoing General subtly reminded the THIEVING LEGISLATORS to approve the securitisation of the “WAYS AND MEANS” balance of ₦22.7 trillion naira in order to avoid paying another interest of about ₦1.8 trillion in 2023, and also to convert the Central Bank of Nigeria overdrafts to his administration long time bonds.
According to newspaper report in December 2022, President Buhari in a letter sought approval to turn the ₦22.7trillion naira or USD$53 billion dollars worth of the Central Bank loans to government; to a 40-YEAR-BOND AT 9% INTEREST INCLUDING AN EXTRA ONE TRILLION NAIRA LOAN TO THE GOVERNMENT FROM THE BANK!

THE BUDGET BREAKDOWN!

*BUDGET DEFICIT: ₦11.34 TRILLION NAIRA – representing 5.03% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is an indictment on the already battered economy; it is also to be financed from BORROWINGS!
*REVENUE. Total Revenue is at ₦10.49 trillion naira which includes the gross revenues of 63 government-owned enterprises totaling ₦3.87 trillion.
Federal Government Revenue share is projected at ₦2.29, Non-Oil taxes are estimated at ₦2.43 trillion and Federal Government’s Independent revenues are projected to by ₦2.62 trillion naira. Other revenues total ₦7.62 billion naira.
In aggregate, 22% are projected revenues expected from Oil-related sources while 78% is to be earned from non-oil resources. The non-oil sector had always carried the larger burden of annual budgets even though CRUDE OIL is the petrol dollar earner!

EXPENDITURES: Fresh borrowing to be sourced from the Apex Bank to fund projects according to fillers from the National assembly. Loan servicing is higher than Internally Generated Revenues – an indication that there was virtually nothing on ground to meet SOCIAL INTERVENTION PROJECTS (allocated a paltry – (to-be-borrowed), ₦4.005billion), as highlighted to deceive the TALAKAWAS!
BONA FIDE CITIZENS OF NIGERIA WILL NOT KEEP QUIET! THEY WILL FIGHT FOR THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS!
Buhari and his cabal may think they have succeeded to desecrate Nigeria and would get away with their illicit gains – the answer is NO!
FOR all those who are clamouring to be president of Nigeria, they can carry on with their wishful thinking but the Will OF THE of the LORD WILL BE DONE AT THE APPOINTED TIME!
Nigeria is a country flowing with milk and honey but the Wolves the Baboons might have predated the entire land and its resources BUT THEY CANNOT STOP THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT WHICH IS AT THEIR DOORSTEPS
They should be ready to give account of their stewardship to the ALMIGHTY GOD who will at his divine time ESTABLISH A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THROUGH REFERENDUM AND A PRIME MINISTER AND PARLIAMENTARIANS WORKING TOGETHER FROM THE GRASSROOTS TO PRESENT TO HIM THE NIGERIA OF OUR COLLECTIVE DREAMS

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

Politics / Nigeria’s “ways And Means” Advances Scheme Is The Volume Of Water In A Basket! by z07ion: 11:14pm On Jan 06, 2023
TWENTY-FOUR consecutive years of fiscal mismanagement of the Nigerian Economy by both military/political merchants at the seat of power have resulted to the printing of naira currencies termed (“Ways and Means Advances”), to cushion shortfalls and inadequacies in annual budget expenditures.

But in actual fact did the “scheme” bail out Nigeria out of fiscal doldrums? Of course no! From 1997 when the scheme was introduced by the military the economy nose-dived into a Banana Republic scenario! Ex-president Ebele Jonathan passed the baton to Uncle Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and at as the last count, the sum of NGN23.7 trillion naira had been collected from the official printer/collaborator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)! The abused scheme has now become an albatross to the outgoing Major General Muhammadu Buhari, who desperately wanted Senate approval to RESTRUCTURE its repayment.
Balance of the humongous debt of Ways and Means as at 19th December, 2022, was NGN22.7trillion. When Uganda’s late military Head of State, Idi Amin Dada’s government in indulged in the scheme, the nation’s currencies became worthless and was described among global economy stake holders as “mere toilet tissue papers”

FG TO REPAY NGN20 TRILLION “WAYS AND MEANS” LOAN WITH TREASURY BILLS.

In October 2022, Zainab Ahmed minister of finance budget and national planning in Abuja while giving a breakdown of the 2023 appropriation bill told Nigerians that the Federal Government had borrowed from the CBN through ways and means to meet short falls in fiscal expenditure.

She also said President Major General Muhammadu Buhari approved the securitisation of the NGN20 trillion debt.
But in a letter read at plenary on Wednesday 28th December 2022, the President mentioned a figure of NGN23.7trillion as the total amount secured from the apex Bank in the last 10 years and requested that the securitization to cover a period of 40 YEARS with a Moratorium on principal repayment, three years; and Pricing interest rate at 9%!

A Supplementary Budget of NGN819.5billion was also submitted to be passed alongside the NGN.20.51 trillion 2023 Appropriation Bill.
attention was given to the request by the President’s National Assembly surrogate, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, who ensured a second reading with specific order for the Committee on Finance to expedite action on it!

But some Senators have faulted the un-orthodox, illegal and very suspicious transaction which they described as “unknown to the Nigerian law” and urged the House to step it down until lawmakers got more details on whether the expenditure complied with Sections 80, 81, 83, 113(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended and Section 38 of the CBN Act.

In summary, the various sections provided that all revenues and monies raised or received by the Federation…… shall be paid into and form one consolidated revenue…..from which no money shall be withdrawn….. except authorised by an appropriation, supplementary, or an Act of the National Assembly.

Senator George Sekibo (PDP Rivers East), who was the arrowhead of the opposition to the President’s request insisted that Section 38 of the CBN Act stipulated that “ways and means” advances MUST be refunded before another could be collected and that since the law was already breached, the request must be denied!

SENATE APPROVED NGN819 BILLION TO BE EXCISED FROM NGN1 TRILLION NAIRA WAYS AND MEANS TO FUND 2022 SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET!
DOCTRINE OF WAYS AND MEANS!

The doctrine of “Ways and Means” is the most unorthodox process to destroying the economy of any nation that is in dire straits of funding its annual budgets from internally generated revenues.
They are loans or advances by the CBN to the Federal Government to enable it to cater for short-term emergency finance to fund delayed receipt of fiscal deficits.

AHMED LAWAN: SENATE PRESIDENT BOWED TO PRESSURE TO STEP DOWN THE EXECUTIVE BILL!
“We have stood down the consideration of the ways and means restructure. We did so as a body because we didn't get the kind of information that we considered necessary as important for us to take a major decision as this without any let or hindrance.
“We have set up a special committee headed by the Senate Leader and in the membership you have the Committees of Finance, Appropriation, Foreign and Local Debt and Banking to collect all the necessary information.
“And I want to use this opportunity to urge the Executive arm of government especially those agencies that will be invited to appear before these Special Committees to cooperate by bringing the right kind of information that we need to be guided properly.

Senate on Wednesday 28th December 2022, passed the 2023 national budget of NGN21.8trillion and for the fourth consecutive time since 2019, maintained the January to December Budget cycle.
It also on the request of the executive approved an extension of the expiration clause of both the 2022 Appropriation Act and the Supplementary Budget to the 31st March 2023 to allow for full capital releases as contained in the two appropriations.

What this move portends is another door of institutional corruption for the Executive to mop and divert all unspent funds to private pockets instead of RETIRING SUCH MONIES INTO THE TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT (TSA)!

However, the Senate leader Ibrahim Gobir supported the clandestine move by stating as follows: “In view of the critical importance of some key projects nearing completion, it is expected to grant the extension of the expiration clause to avoid compounding the problems of abandoned projects, given that some of the projects were not provided for in the 2023 budget.”
The Senate has adjourned to January 17 2023.

NIGERIANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW THAT THE PRINTED MONIES WERE USED: 1. TO PAY SALARIES; 2. TO BAIL OUT STATES THAT ARE BROKE; AND 3. TO WHET THE APPETITE OF THE EXECUTIVE IN CONCURRENT EXPENDITURES OF ALLOWANCES/ESTACODES THAT MUST NOT FAIL!

The following consequences of money printing and excessive borrowing for frivolities:1. Hyper-inflation on cost of living; 2. Abject poverty, 3. Food insecurity, 4. Inflation on goods and services etc.
Must Nigeria continue in PRODIGALITY while the CITIZENS are dying of HUNGER? We need a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT to bail us out from the clutches of this predators who are pretending to be leaders of this nation!

We need a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION THROUGH REFERENDUM! ANTAGONISTS of referendum will say it is too late and too close to the February 2023, General Elections! We disagree! REFERENDUM IS A ONE DAY EXERCISE AND ALL DECISIONS BECOME LAW WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!
NIGERIA NEEDS A PRIME MINISTER AND AND PARLIAMENTARIANS to be elected at the General Elections coming up in February 2023! By his grace it is possible! Amen.

Politics / Who Wan Die? Sh-e-e Policeman Body Be Bullet Proof? by z07ion: 11:05pm On Dec 30, 2022
Senior advocate of Nigeria ‘Femi Falana sounded like a broken record when he said that criminal elements involved in various activities across the country generally operated without any challenge from security forces!
It is common knowledge among the populace that criminals of all genres (Boko Haram /IPOB terrorists , Fulani killer herdsmen, kidnappers, gunmen, bandits, assassins, murderers), rapists etc, move freely without let or hindrance – and always left in their trail – bloodshed of human causalities, pains, sorrow, anguish etc. and disappear into thin air without apprehension, without trace… without trial! The erudite lawyer and human rights activist expressed fear that unless the security forces were prepared to deal with the anti-democratic forces that were currently disrupting the democratic process, the 2023 general elections might be sabotaged to the detriment of democracy and political stability in the country.

In a recent statement titled: “Halt Official Sabotage of 2023 General Elections”, Chief Falana vehemently complained that the violent attacks being carried out by suspected arsonists posed serious security threats to the impending election!

ONE ATTACK TOO MANY!

Not less than nine Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), regional offices had been , vandalized and torched within the last five months in Imo, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Anambra, Ogun and Osun States!
Chief Falana condemned the continuous attacks on INEC Offices and lamented over election and logistic materials worth millions of naira which were destroyed with malicious intent.
In spite of the assurance and promises by INEC that they would still be able to conduct the 2023 elections in spite of the orchestrated attacks, Chief Falana opined that security forces should live up to expectations and intensify their operations to ensure free, fair, transparent and credible elections in the new year!
HOWEVER in one isolated incident in Imo State, three bandits were neutralized, two captured alive while two policemen seated in a van close to the INEC office lost their lives, there had been no arrest of any attacker by police operatives!

THE POLICEMAN’S MODUS OPERANDI IS “I FIRST, OTHERS LAST”!

In these perilous times of desperate politicians who have access to all manner of sophisticated weapons with which they kit their thugs, law enforcement agents have become wiser to first and foremost defend their own lives before attempting to attend to vulnerable and innocent citizens of their country whom they were constitutionally bound to protect!
In many cases of violent attacks on people in their homes on public highways, city centers or remote villages, the vandals always got away because no amount of desperate “save our souls” outbursts would empathize them to move their muscles until the dare-devils must have had a field day!
And whereas, Section 14 (1)(2)(a)(b)(c) Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria states as follows: (I) The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice.
(2) It is hereby, accordingly, declared that:
(a) Sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through this Constitution all its powers and authority.
(b) The security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government: and
(c) The participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.

SECURITY OPERATIVES IN NIGERIA SAY THEY DO NOT POSSESS INVINCIBLE PROTECTION JACKETS!

In any event of a security breach that threatens lives and properties, Nigerian citizens have been advised to dial the emergency toll-free number 112 for quick redress through an intermediary RECEPTIONIST whose only duty was to transfer such desperate matter-of-life-and-death requests to “relevant authorities” that might never RESPOND!

FORTY (40) LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS UNDER TERRORISTS JURISDICTION!

When Major General President Muhammadu Buhari took up the mantle of leadership in 2015, SEVENTEEN Local Government Areas were said to be under the authority of BOKO HARAM terrorists and now at his departure lounge, the terrorists now have more local government areas under their jurisdiction: 17-40!
Chief ‘Femi Falana also confirmed in a television interview that he had reliable information that the Terrorists were in control over 40 out of 774 LGAs in both North East and West of the country and wondered how elections would be held in those regions?
The ruling party’s Three-prong Manifesto was to fight corruption to a stand still, confront and defeat Boko Haram terrorists including all crimes and criminalities, overcome them and also get the economy on good footing to make Nigeria one of the 20 most successful economies of the world by the year 2020!
The Major General will be out next year 29th May 2023 - just about five months and yet Nigerians are not even sure whether the elections would be postponed like in 2015 and 2019 respectively or that the very much desired REFERENDUM for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will produce PARLIAMENTARIANS AND A PRIME MINISTER IN THE YEAR 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS would be entrenched!
INSECURITY HAS BECOME SYNONYMOUS WITH THE NIGERIAN STATE THAT PEACE COULD NO LONGER BE VOUCHSAFED AT ANY GIVEN PERIOD!

APPEAL TO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE FOR CHANGE OF ATTITUDE.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, escaped imprisonment by the whiskers the other time for contempt of Court Orders but this time around he is already guilty as charged in the Court of Public Opinion for TOTAL DERELICTION OF DUTY in view of the avalanche of crimes and criminalities that have deluged the nation and should spend the rest of his tenure in prison!

From his assumption of office on 6th April, 2021 to date there had been an escalation or criminal activities across the length and breadth of the nation but in a sudden U-TURN on Thursday 15th December the Inspector General Police announced that the Nigeria Police had rescued 865 kidnapped victims and arrested 383 suspects between January and November 2022.
He made this disclosure during a meeting in Abuja with strategic police managers from the rank of commissioners and above adding that 923 armed robbery suspects 335 murder suspects and 473 suspected cultists were also arrested in the same period mentioned earlier according to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report!

38 KADUNA INNOCENT VILLAGERS MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD ON SUNDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2022!

Bandits were reported to have invaded some communities in Southern Kaduna on Sunday night and killed 38 people, burnt down over 162 houses and 20 motorcycles in a situation described as very inhuman and most despicable!
The Police is investigating the immediate and remote causes of the attack which was said to have been carried out by about 100 bandits who rode of motorbikes to the various communities affected!

Where did these criminals emerge from?
THE IGP NEEDS TO BE MORE CREDIBLE IN INFORMATION GATHERING AND DISSEMINATION!

Politics / Human Rights Commission To Probe Slaughter Of Unborn Babies By Nigerian Army! by z07ion: 9:54pm On Dec 23, 2022
Nigerian governments since independence were quick to deny international negative reports or assessments especially those that border on human rights abuses, institutional corruption, insecurity, terrorism, economy, poverty etc!

Reuters News Agency on 7th December, 2022, published an indicting report titled: “THE ABORTION ASSAULT” [Nigerian Military ran secret mass abortion programme in war against Boko Haram], in the country’s North East Borno State!
The story was promptly denied and dismissed by both the Military and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), with a wave of the hand!

The thrust of the report was the allegation of an ongoing and systematic termination of pregnancies of liberated women from the Boko Haram Terrorists captivity without their consent by a hatchet top secret medical team of the 7 Division Nigerian Army stationed at the main theatre of war in Maiduguri!

It was alleged in Reuters very detailed investigative report that the military had surreptitiously and persistently conducted induced forced abortions on the unfortunate young women who were victims of abductions and rape by the insurgents and terrorists in the past nine years - 2013-2022!

The detailed story by this foreign media also claimed that not less than 10,000 girls and women in their teens and twenties were clandestinely administered with mysterious injections and pills which aborted the unborn babies without their permission or consent and forbidden to disclose their ordeal to anyone!
Reuters whose reporters were on ground in Nigeria claimed that its investigation was based on interviews with 33 women and girls who said they underwent abortions while in the custody of the Nigerian army while just one woman said she freely gave her consent.

Reporters also interviewed five civilian health care workers and nine security personnel involved in the program, including soldiers and other government employees such as armed guards engaged in escorting pregnant women to abortion sites.
In addition Reuters reviewed copies of military documents and civilian hospital records describing or tallying thousands of abortion procedures.

IRABOR AND LAI MOHAMMED DENY ON BEHALF OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

However the Federal Government of Major General Muhammadu Buhari had risen quickly to deny and condemn the report that such illegal activities neither existed nor were ever conducted at the medical department of the Nigerian Army!
Leading the pack of denials were the Chief of Defence Staff of the Nigerian Army, General Lucky Irabor followed by government’s spokesman, Federal Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed.
It was evident from the cacophony of denials that swallowed up Reuters allegations, that the government agency involved was suspect because officials were yet to disclose steps taken to investigate the veracity: peradventure some part of the story was true!

WHY WOULD THE NIGERIAN ARMY BE INVOLVED IN SUCH DESPICABLE SLAUGHTER?

Policy influencers of the Buhari Administration according to Reuters strongly believed that terrorists would definitely give birth to terrorists and within a short dispensation of time generations of Frankenstein Monsters would have subdued the great country of Nigeria to a jungle scenario like Somalia!
To prevent and nip in the bud such unsavoury catastrophe, urgent steps should be taken to counter its occurrence in spite of the fact that cradle lives were involved just like Egypt’s Pharoah Seti II, ordered the murder of male Hebrew infants to prevent increase of migrant Israeli able-bodied men of war from supporting invaders to overthrow his kingdom! [Exodus. 1:8-10,16].

THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF HAS MADE A U-TURN!

On Friday 16th December 2022, Chief of Defence Staff, General Irabor, made a U-Turn and requested Nigerian Human Rights Commission (NHRC), to probe Reuters report on secret abortion to prevent Boko Haram children from stepping into their parents' shoes in future following public outcry and outrage over his earlier denial!
The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres had also called on the Nigerian Government to investigate the allegation which Buhari's spokesman Lai Mohammed and General Irabor, had earlier described as evil!

The Chief of Defence Staff paid a visit to NHRC Headquarters in Abuja, and said that the leadership of the Nigerian military welcomed an independent and thorough probe of the allegations by a neutral organisation.
He also said being an institution that is guided by law; “We deem it fit to call on the Nigerian Human Rights Commission to investigate the allegations with a view to getting to the bottom of the issues raised.”
His visit was to formally assure the Executive Secretary of the NHRC and his management team that their doors would be open for them to conduct a thorough investigation.

He also promised that his officers would be available to answer their questions and that they would be granted unfettered access to all military establishments not only in the Northeast but across the country.

General Irabor claimed that the Nigeria Army had always adhered to the tenets of international humanitarian laws and had also abided by their professional ethical codes together with the Military Standard Operation Procedures in all their activities across the country. He was assured by the executive secretary that his commission was already poised to investigate Reuters allegations because of the human rights implications and added that the commission would soon announce further steps in the near future towards the constitution of a Panel of Investigation into the Reuters report.

We will not pre-empt outcome of the impending INDEPENDENT investigation but will request that evidences should neither be destroyed nor victims harassed into silence! He that should come to equity MUST come with clean hands!

Politics / Chief Justice Ariwoola’s Romance With The Politicians Is Bound To Have Back Lash by z07ion: 5:30pm On Dec 17, 2022
If only the dead could speak from the grave, late Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice John Idowu Conrad Taylor, would have frowned at the attitude of incumbent Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola for frolicking with politicians both at the Federal and State levels since his investiture at the State House, Abuja on Wednesday 12th October, 2022!

On assumption of office as substantive Chief Justice, having been sworn in by Major General President Muhammadu Buhari and conferred with the second highest National honour of Grand Commander Order of the Niger (GCON), than the 68-year-old jurist began socialising and revelling with governors, political office holders, business moguls, movers and shakers of policies at the corridors of power!

From Oyo to Rivers State the red carpets were rolled out to treat him to sumptuous receptions and parties where glowing tributes and encomiums were lavishly showered on him!
The Rivers State Governor in particular got him to spend two days of banqueting and commissioning of Judicial Projects.

While in Port Harcourt, the CJN was reported to have said that he was happy that Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of his home State, (Oyo), was part of the G5 Integrity Group of five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governors who were at loggerheads with their party’s National Executives!

Already, the Coalition of Civil Society Groups for Transparency and Good Governance has called for his resignation over this comment which was construed as “double standard” in respect of his exalted office and as regards “ethno-religious affiliations”.

They insisted that the CJN should not continue in that position having presented himself as an active player in a particular team.

It should be recalled that the CJN’s appointment came on the heels of a damnable leaked petition (bothering on Judges Welfare), by 14 Justices of the Supreme Court against his predecessor in office, C. J. Tanko Mohammad, who eventually retired voluntarily on health grounds! Ariwoola was the most senior in rank to the retired Justice.

WORDS ON MARBLE FOR LATE JUSTICE JOHN IDOWU CONRAD TAYLOR!

He was an impeccable jurist with moral principles. A man of very high standards, respected for his integrity, diligence, commitment and devotion to duty with the foresight for decorum, finesse and perfection!

The following true story was told of the late Justice J. I. C. Taylor who was the Chief Judge of Lagos State during the Military Administration of Nigeria but honourably turned down his governor’s official invitation to a State Dinner on the following grounds: "Lagos State Government has several pending cases before me ….. I find it inappropriate to honour the invitation.”
At his demise the Military Head of State General Yakubu Gowon eulogized him for his sterling qualities.

ARE THERE MORE CORRUPT ELEMENTS IN THE JUDICIARY NOW?

A searchlight into the activities of Nigerian courts revealed dirty, sordid, gruesome manipulation and perversion of the course of justice by corrupt judges. According to an insider a retired President of the Court of Appeal, the Nigerian Judiciary harbours corrupt elements who are politicians and government apologists who attend all manner of social gatherings and frolic even with litigants with pending cases before the High Courts.

“How can judges decide cases against their political parties and people they wine and dine with” queries the insider?
During his first tenure Major General President Buhari in a petition to the judiciary reminded the learned benchers that they should be in the forefront of efforts to develop right-based jurisprudence as an element of the multi-disciplinary approach advocated in the fight against corruption by enforcing applicable laws to avoid delay in ensuring criminal justice administration.

According to the President, corruption cases filed by government were not progressing as they should and in spite of the Criminal Justice Act of 2015, the courts allowed some lawyers to frustrate the reforms introduced by law and called for a change of attitude for a collective action in building a new Nigeria in the face of dwindling Revenue by tackling two ILLS – Waste and Corruption simultaneously.

Justice Ayo Salami, a retired Judge of the Appeal Court during a lecture said that Nigeria needed to sanitize and rid the Judiciary of corrupt elements who were dishonourable people not fit to be judges and senior lawyers but got into the system, made it to the highest level of the judicial career but subsequently frustrated the common man's quest for Justice and equity.

DSS STING OPERATION AGAINST JUDGES FROM 8TH TO 9TH OCTOBER 2016 WAS NOT A SUCCESS!

The well-coordinated search operations by the Directorate of Security Services (DSS), on the homes of suspected High/Supreme Court Judges believed to possess bribe monies and properties illegally acquired was successful but highly condemned by the elites as unprecedented!

Although many of them were arraigned before the courts but were eventually discharged and acquitted with all seized properties/monies allegedly acquired returned with apologies!

CJN Ariwoola may not be as lucky as his predecessors! He has ruffled the BEES NEST, he should expect MANY STINGS!

Politics / Buhari’s Generals Gang Up To Disobey The Law Courts! by z07ion: 3:47pm On Dec 10, 2022
Nigeria is truly living to its billing as a very lawless country where custodians of the law have become brazen lawbreakers!
Since the barrel of the gun was introduced on 15th January 1966, Nigeria never knew PEACE again!

Consecutive military governments ruled with the iron fist and bequeathed a UNITARY PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM to the country in which effontery for disobedience to lawful orders and impunity at all levels of government became a permanent way of life.
For instance there is no office of First Lady in the 1999 Military Constitution of the Federal Republic but Mrs. Aisha Buhari has been making waves as Nigeria's number one woman with abundant perks and paraphernalia!

There is also no nomenclature like ‘Federal Executive Council' (FEC), in the legal document in question but all governments at the federal level since 1999 held Wednesdays FEC Meetings to award contracts according to their whims and caprices under the watch of the civilians and military Generals!
Consecutive Federal Governments always chose which court orders to obey and which to disobey with impunity!

MAJOR GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI’S SECURITY GENERALS HAVE FOLLOWED SUIT IN DISOBEDIENCE TO COURT ORDERS!

FIRST it was the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdul Rasheed Bawa who was ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja to be remanded in prison custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre for contempt – disobedience and continued disobedience of the said order!
He failed to carry out the order of the court made on 21st November 2018 to return to an applicant his Range Rover (supercharged) and to pay a fine of NGN40 million to the applicant as damages!

SECOND, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba also flouted the law by refusing to carry out an order to reinstate a forcibly retired police officer and was sentenced on Tuesday 29th November 2022 to three months in prison for disobeying valid court orders by a Federal High Court, Abuja.
According to the report, a police officer Patrick Okoli who claimed he was unlawfully and compulsory retired from the Nigeria Police Force in June 1992, challenged the abnormally at a Bauchi High Court which on February 19, 1994 ordered his reinstatement with all rights and privileges.

But the Police Service Commission (PSC) letter dated 13th October, 2004 which directed the IGP to reinstate the petitioner was disregarded to date! In addition to the sentence the Inspector General of police was ordered to comply with the directive of the Police Service Commission by reinstating the applicant.

The court also ordered the payment of NGN10 million naira to the applicant being special and general damages for the unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional denial of his rights and privileges as a senior officer of the Nigeria Police Force from 1992 to date.
THIRD, on 1st December 2022, a High Court sitting in Minna, Niger State, issued a warrant of arrest and incarceration of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Faruk Yahaya for contempt of court!

The High Court Judge also ordered that the Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna, a Major General be arrested and imprisoned for a similar offence.
Both men would remain in the custody of the Correctional Centre, Minna, until they purge themselves of contempt for disobeying the court order made on 12th October, 2022.
The judge order the arrest of the top Army officers at the resumed hearing of a case between one Adamu Makama and 42 others versus the executive Governor of Niger State and seven others in a suit numbered NSHC/225/2019, which was eventually adjourned to 8th December 2022.

QUESTION: Have the sentenced high-profile persons been arrested and incarcerated according to the law? Of course NO! They are all walking free because they are above the law!
1999 NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION IS A DOCUMENT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION!
It is NOT TOO LATE for patriotic Nigerians to rally together, demand for REFERENDUM TO REPLACE the obnoxious military constitution with a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION with which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will conduct the 2023 General Elections that will produce a PRIME MINISTER and hundreds of PARLIAMENTARIANS AS PANACEA TO PERMANENT PEACE IN NIGERIA!
REFERENDUM IS CONDUCTED IN ONE DAY!

Nigerians should no longer be deceived by corrupt politicians whose only desire in life is to predate on the masses collective patrimony!

Politics / Most Nigerian Press Practitioners Are Unproductive And Very Lazy! by z07ion: 1:22pm On Dec 10, 2022
Contrary to its constitutional duties of general oversight of all government activities, the Nigerian Press relishes in dishing annual ludicrous “media titles” coined in enticing phrases to non-performing pilfering State Governors, captains of industry, political jobbers, self-acclaimed billionaires, portfolio investors etc, for pecuniary gains!

Some of the titles included, “Best Governor, Senator, Industrialist, Local Government Chairman, etc, of every year, year-on-year!

Chapter II Section 22 of the 1999 Military Constitution states that Press is saddled with the following responsibilities,: The Press, radio, television, and other agencies of the mass media shall at all times be free to uphold the fundamental objectives contained in this Chapter and uphold the responsibility and accountability of the Government to the people.” In other words the Nigerian press is expected to function as the WATCHDOG of the good citizens of this great nation of Nigeria and to report all activities of government, public or private for everyone to rightly conclude whether or not they have delivered on their promises.

Current members of the Nigerian Press should always stand out as an impeccable, the most vibrant, vigilant, brilliant, intelligent, intellectual, sagacious, articulate, dedicated, patriotic, celebral, courageous, and very fearless professionals in the world, because of antecedents bequeathed through engagements who negotiated INDEPENDENCE on a platter of gold!

In history pre/post independence journalist and writers like our first President Nnamdi Azikiwe, Herbert Macaulay, Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro, Peter Enahoro (Peter Pan), Alade Odunewu (Allah De), Peter Osugo, Adamu Ciroma, Olabisi Onabanjo, Babatunde Jose, etc, played significant roles to enshrine, sustain and maintain the independence and sovereignty of the great nation of Nigeria even at the peril of their lives!

It remains an indisputable fact that late Journalist cum Politician, Chief Anthony Enahoro, mooted the call for Nigerian Independence at the London Conference in 1956!
Chapter II Section 39 (1) – (3) (a) and (b) also stipulate other oversight duties of the Press.

IS THE NIGERIAN PRESS ENGAGED IN IS CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES AT THIS TIME OF THE NATION'S PREDICAMENTS?

Following the brutal take over of government in 1966 by the military to the present attempt of a nascent democracy from 1999 to date, the Nigerian Press cannot point to any significant role it had played to nurture a new generation of politicians outside of those who frolicked, wined and dinned with the khaki boys during the almost 30 years of illegal martial occupation of the
nation!

Regular journalists took over the centre ; reported political/ government engagements on invitation, collect press releases/ brown envelopes which subsidized paltry salaries by their employers; most times published foreign/fake/hate news that are found in abundance on the internet/social media to fill the gap!

Now that the election fever has gathered momentum, politicians who were ever ready to bribe their ways into political offices in the coming year have engaged unprofessional media men and women to propagate all their lies/ fake news with the view to having an edge over their opponents!

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME FEW MEDIA HOUSES INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM IS ANATHEMA TO THE NIGERIAN MEDIA PRACTITIONER IN THIS 21st CENTURY!

It will be an understatement to assert that the Nigerian/International media have greater responsibility in governance, human rights protection, institutional development, protection of lives and properties and general welfare of the people as general overseers than those who were selected, elected or rigged themselves to run the day-to-day affairs of governance!

In the past 22 years of democratic diarchy in Nigeria, media practitioners only “sidon look” and report rummors or fables!
There is none of them who is not aware that the present “dollar-consuming” naira- wasting 1999 Military Constitution of Nigeria is an abberation forced down the throat of hapless Nigerians who do not have the wherewithal to raise brimstone and fire like in other climes where citizens express very violent attitudes that drove sitting Heads of State into exile!

They would neither investigate nor engage in digging deep to unravel financial leakages/wastages/corruption at all levels of the THREE TIERS – the ANNUAL BUDGET PADDING which Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin provided on a platter of gold! What about the phantom CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS,?

None of them ever bothered to interogate the honorable member of the House of Representatives in 2016 when he exposed the sordid corruption at such a high level of government and confront the efcc for failing to take necessary action to arrest and prosecute the honorable member and all the high-profile ranking members who were accused of the bare-faced robbery of common patrimony to date!

These media practitioners are so distant from grassroot citizens who were always ready to give free information to expose all the ills of a decadent society like Nigeria!
The 13-year-old Boko Haram insurgency which metamorphosed into terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, assasinations, and attacks are the “by-products” of INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION which the Press gave little or no attention to, except to publish PRESS HAND OUTS FROM GOVERNMENT OR THE MILITARY AUTHORITIES!

Outside of general commentaries, the media men/women in spite of the fact that they have many constituted bodies like Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Nigeria Press Council etc. had never pressurised consecutive governments to abbrogate the obnoxious document!
Have they ever collectively suggest and demand for the option of A REFERENDUM for the immediate enactment of a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will collapse the unprofitable structure of the executive presidency, governorship at State levels, the legislative and local government administrations to usher a cash-friendly government of PARLIAMENTARIANS from the grassroots who will from among themselves choose a PRIME MINISTER in the 2023 General Elections!

MEDIA TOWN HALL POLITICAL BLABBING OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES!

It is Our candid opinion that majority of Nigerian media practitioners had not been very objective in the conduct of mushroom Village/Town Hall Meetings this far! Some gatherings were allegedly motivated for financial perks!
What is the role of the Press in asking irrelevant and inconsequential questions about the Climate or how to mitigate Annual Flooding from presidential candidates whose mission is to make more money from such strategic projects and cared less whether the citizens swam or sank having been thrown up from very corrupt party primaries?

Were journalidts not supposed to have stopped these IMPOSTORS in the first instance by exposing all of their dirty past through deliberate and authentic investigation that would have given sufficient EVIDENCES TO law enforcement agencies to arrest them and incarcerate them?

Are these practitioners not putting the HORSE BEHIND THE CART NOW?
WATERGATE in America was the brainchild of very dedicated journalists but DASUKIGATE in Nigeria was a HANDOUT from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for press publication!

Where were the Nigerian media practitioners when a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police – then a serving Senator of the Federal Republic said on the floor of the red Chamber that he was seated with criminals! Where were they?
This is shameful scenario that these generation of practitioners must braze up to ameliorate.

Apart from the THIS DAY AND CHANNELS GROUPS OF MEDIA PRACTITIONERS, who have established outstanding articulate, cerebral and very professional qualities locally and internationally in INVESTIGATIVE REPORTAGE – all the others just exist to fill the gap!

WE ENCOURAGE THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THIS DAY AND THE CHANNELS GROUP CONGLOMERATE TO CHAMPION THE MOVE FOR REFERENDUM WHICH WILL TAKE JUST ONE DAY TO DECIDE THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS AND PERMANENTLY DOUSE THE CURRENT VANDALIZATION OF INEC FACILITIES ACROSS NIGERIA AND LOSS OF PRECIOUS LIVES AND PROPERTIES!

We disagree that this move is TOO CLOSE to the elections!
“With God all things are possible!”

Politics / Nigeria Robbed For 13 Years From Evolving To Nationhood! by z07ion: 11:07pm On Dec 01, 2022
Mallam Adamu’s lamentation of eight-year - two-term - failure as Nigeria Minister of Education has begun to yield dividends with the recent resuscitation of the exiled subject of History into the basic education curriculums.

History was removed from the primary/secondary school curriculums during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Administration of late President Umaru Yar’Adua in the 2009/2010 academic session but the minister ordered a re-introduction of the subject in 2019.
For the fact that the reason for its removal was still shrouded in mystery, the minister confessed that history used to be one of the foundational subjects taught in the classrooms but for some inexplicable reasons the steam of teaching and learning was abolished.

In a speech at the flag-off ceremony of the re-introduction of the teaching of History on Thursday 24th November, 2022, in Abuja, Adamu also said that history was subsequently expunged from the list of subject combinations which students could offer in both external and internal examinations compared to the subjects that were made compulsory at basic and secondary levels in Nigeria.

The following are excerpts of the minister’s speech as delivered by his representative, Minister of State for Education at the flag-off ceremony:
“This single art no doubt relegated and eroded the knowledge and information that learners could otherwise have been exposed to.
“It was a monumental mistake and we have already started seeing the negative consequences. The loss created by the absence of this subject has led to a fall in moral values, erosion and civic values and disconnect from the past.
“ More worrisome was the neglect of the teaching of this subject at the basic and post-basic levels of education which invariably eroded the knowledge of the evolution of Nigeria as a country,”Adamu further lamented!

I HAVE WOEFULLY FAILED AS MINISTER OF EDUCATION!

Previously on Thursday 3rd November, 2022, Adamu confessed and did not deny but admitted that he was a total disaster to the education sector!

His conscience pricked him so badly especially in the manner he slothfully handled the eight-month-long (14th February – 14th October 2022), ASUU strike which almost robbed innocent tertiary students of a whole academic calendar year - while the dust is yet to settle down in respect of the pro-rata salaries paid to the revered and respected academics in October 2022 as if they were casual labourers!

During the 66th National Council on Education (NCE), held on 3rd November 2022, Abuja, Adamu who claimed to be the longest-serving minister in Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s administration noted that he had not been able to provide solutions to the problems facing the ministry.

He was irked by the increasing number of out-of-school street children of over 13 million including the Academic Staff Union of (Public) Universities prolonged strike as part of his failure BUT he has not RESIGNED because he was determined to make RESTITUTION!

RE-INTRODUCTION CEREMONY/ TRAINING OF HISTORY TEACHERS AT THE BASIC EDUCATION LEVEL FLAGGED OFF ON 24TH NOVEMBER 2022 IN ABUJA.
Vital Information:
1) A total of 3,700 history teachers have been shortlisted for the first- round of training for enhanced teaching of the subject.
2) Focus of the introduction was the training and the re-training of teachers in order to enhance their capacity development which would lead to the mastery of the subject.
3) Teachers will be provided with the requisite skills needed to teach the subject through collaboration of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), which handled pro-rata selection of the 3,700 History teachers from the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for training.
4) UBEC and the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), will work together to equip the new teachers with the necessary skills to teach the subject especially with the modification of its content.

QUESTIONS:
a. What is History as a subject? In simple definition – it is a record of existence, past, present and future. Of accounts of genre of creation - the homo sapiens, mysteries of the environments, atmospheric/climate changes, vegetations etc.History is uniquely outstanding: inquisitive, ubiquitous! It probes into the artistic, scientific; asks questions and records answers for posterity! History is the life, breath and the very existence of the universe and its peoples as presently domicile!
b. Who is Adamu Adamu? Mallam Adamu Adamu CON, (born 25th May, 1954, aged 68), is an accountant, journalist and politician who is currently serving as Minister of Education. Adamu who is of the Northern extraction Azare, Katagum, Bauchi State assumed office on 11th November 2015 and still serving to date. He possesses bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in journalism. He served as a special assistant to Major General Muhammadu Buhari who, during the military interregnum, was Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) was also the secretary and member of Muhammadu Buhari’s APC Presidential Transition Committee. He was awarded in October 2022 a Nigerian national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), by the retired Major General in spite of his calamitous failure as a minister of the Federal Republic! (Courtesy Wikipedia).

ADAMU MAKES RESTITUTION AS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RESTORES HISTORY IN THE EDUCATION CURRICULUM 13 YEARS AFTER ITS EXCLUSION!

It will be a disservice to the lofty constitutional ideals as enacted that citizens’ rights to quality education was sacrosanct and at the same time assume that 13 years expulsion of the History subject in the Education curriculum of Nigerian students did not amount to a colossal damage and wastage to the acquisition of knowledge of unimaginable proportion of a whole generation of Nigerian YOUTHS!

BUT the Nigerian selfish leadership had in the past 13 years deprived the youth of the acquisition of the knowledge of the very important subject of History and ultimately the knowledge of their own country, it's past and present for over one decade!

THE SULTAN OF SOKOTO LENDS SUPPORT TO RESUSCITATION OF HISTORY!

Highly revered traditional ruler of the Caliphate in a goodwill message to the flag-off stated that Nigeria was still evolving and striving to achieve nationhood. and therefore appealed to traditional rulers as custodians of the nation's rich culture, traditions and values and indeed all Nigerians to support the whole step taken by the government to re-introduce the subject.
He said “We owe it a duty to encourage research for the documentation of the history of our people and should be forthcoming in granting access to historical records in our custody.”
THE INCREDIBLE POSITION OF HISTORY AS THE MOST RELEVANT SUBJECT OF EDUCATION!

HISTORY IS AN ART.

The quote “history is an art” is a paraphrase of an idea by Ernest Renan who was a 19th-Century French philosopher, language expert and biblical scholar. His actual comment was, “history is as much and art as a science”.

In asking audiences to view history as an “art”, Renan is pushing back against the notion that history is simply what “happened”.
Instead, considering history as “art “asks people to think of the past as a story that has been constructed.

Even when scholars adopt rigorous methodologies and attend to tell a “balanced” story they are still forced to make choices.

These choices could be considered “artistic” inasmuch as they depend more on the individual historian and not circumstances or things outside of him or her.

HISTORY AS HUMANISTIC LITERARY ACTIVITY.

As a humanistic and literary activity, history is both science and art. It is scientific in its method and technique but literary and artistic in its presentation. Courtesy: The Unity of Knowledge: History as Science and Art – D.I Ajaegbo. 2013.

WHY HISTORY IS CONSIDERED TO BE SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE!

The method of presenting history is different from that of other sciences. Even so, history uses the scientific method at every stage, namely, while looking for collecting evidence, examining the evidence and while putting it together.

When required, help is also taken from others sciences. That is why, history to be a scientific discipline.
History is not written solely on the basis of imagination – toppr.com

ADAMU’S LAST CARD FOR RESTITUTION!

Media reports say that Adamu is in league with Chris Ngige the interloper Labour Minister who is quoting an extant law of “no work no pay” to further exacerbate the unsavoury situation!

It is on record that Government always bent backwards to assuage and not compound such delicate issues that have to do with FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF THE OFFICE OF THE CITIZENS FROM WHOM THEY DERIVE THEIR AUTHORITY AND POWER!

Adamu should advise his principal, to pay the lecturers all of their salaries and allowances during the period of the LEGITIMATE STRIKE WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY!

Any action contrary to the above will result in a total conflagration of whatever legacy the All Progressives Congress (APC) and retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari hope to bequeath to POSTERITY!
“A word is sufficient to the Wise!”

Politics / Egypt Cop 27 Launches Historic Global Fund For Climate Disasters! by z07ion: 4:04pm On Nov 26, 2022
The two-week 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 27 (6th-20th November, 2022), almost deadlocked because of insistence for compensations for climate-induced disasters to developing African/Caribbeans countries whose greenhouse gas emissions was minimal compared to the giant industrial economies!
Sunday 20th November 2022, final plenary eventually witnessed an agreement which gave nod to the demands and commissioning of the Sharm el Sheikh Implementation Plan ( SHIP), for the first time in the annals of the annual global event.

With SHIP now in place disadvantaged countries can draw compensations from the global fund which heavy industrialsed countries will willingly and cheerfully contribute to save lives/infrastructures of affected Nations.
The 2020 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties (UNFCCC) more commonly referred to as COP 27 is the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference held from 6th-20th November 2022 in Sharm El Sheikh Egypt and attended by 197 countries. Courtesy Wikipedia .

MAN'S SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON NATURE!

COP 27 stands out as the most successful of all the annual conferences as it also agreed to keep the 1.5C target for global temperature rise intact unlike COP 26, Glasgow, Scotland!
There were also pledges by developed countries to ensure mitigation, adaptation, finance, loss and damage for developing countries. Pledges were made by industrialized nations which included Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Scotland, Canada, France, New Zealand etc.
Excerpts of the COP 27 President's speech on Sunday 20th November 2022 closing plenary:
“The work that we’ve managed to do here in the past two weeks and the results we have together achieved are a testament to our collective will as a community of nations to voice a clear message that rings loudly today, here in this room and around the world: that multilateral diplomacy still works.

“Despite the difficulties and challenges of our time the divergence of views level of ambition or apprehension we remain committed to the fight against climate change….. we rose to the occasion, upheld our responsibilities and undertook the important decisive political decisions that millions around the world expect from us.”

MAN IS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY AS POLLUTION AGENT.

We have always maintained that the universe always experienced very bad weather conditions through the atmosphere that should be friendly under normal conditions because scientist, ecologist, and environmentalists believe that all the green house emissions, gas flaring, deadly carbon emissions, explosion of atomic and hydrogen bombs, pollution from crude oil in the course of extraction of oil and gas exploitation and exploration, were mostly responsible for incessant global warming and ozone layer depletion!

We want to believe that within the next year before COP 28 will be held, that the highly developed and industrialized nations will take note of all of the above observations and reduce the heavy pollution which they are regularly releasing into the atmosphere!
This is the only way that the world and its people can be saved from extinction! As it is written: Prevention is better than cure! NIGERIA IS EQUALLY GUILTY all of the above NEGLIGENCE and it is because of the very corrupt Presidential System of government that has DIVERTED ECOLOGICAL FUNDS TO PERSONAL POCKETS FOR OVER 22 YEARS!

There is no doubt that a CHANGE is imminent! A PARLIAMENTARY GOVERNMENT of the people can be voted through REFERENDUM to save the only country we can call our own from self-destruction!

Nigeria needs a PRIME MINISTER through REFERENDUM and a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT IN 2023!

Politics / The Poverty Cancer Has Totally Consumed The Giant Of Africa. by z07ion: 11:16pm On Nov 24, 2022
A new poverty virus christened “Multi-dimensional” by Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), is currently consuming 63% or 133 million of the over 200 million population – and it is official!

The Breaking News released from the NBS Portal Thursday 17th November 2022, were the results of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), Survey which was a collaborative effort between NBS, the National Social Safety-nets Co-ordinating Office (NASSCO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHDI).

The survey which sampled over 56,000 households across the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was conducted between November 2021 and February 2022 and provides multidimensional poverty estimates at senatorial District level.

Although the polymathic index of the virus exceeded the World Bank’s 2018 projection, the good news is that this brand is not “terminal” by nature even when not less than three of every five rural Nigerian were already “infected”!

In its overview on Nigeria’s economy the global bank in that year believed that although Nigeria made some significant progress in socio-economic terms its human capital development remained weak due to under investment and that it ranked 152 of 157 countries in the world.

The report further stated that if international crude oil price slided below USD $50 dollars, Nigeria would go into recession and that by the year 2030, thirty million Nigerians would become poorest of the poor globally!

In simple deduction, the 30 million figure of the World Bank’s statistics which predicted future poverty Index in 2030, is a far cry to the Federal Government’s Survey astronomical figure of 133 million presently in existence – in the NOW!

BUT WE DISMISSED - OPPOSED THE “OBNOXIOUS” WORLD BANK REPORT AND THE UNITED NATIONS SIMILAR REPORT OF 2016!

In 2016 the United Nations report tagged Common Country Analysis (CCA) adjudged Nigeria as one of the poorest countries in terms of per capita income in the world.
In the year 2017 it was reported that poverty-stricken Nigerians depended mostly on remittances from the diaspora as economic crisis bit harder in the first quarter and also in June 2018 second quarter, Nigeria according to World Poverty Clock (WPC), revealed that the country had about 87 million people living in poverty as against India's 73 million!

The adage which states that every LIE has a terminal date has dawned on all of us who were antagonistic to the accuracy of the various international perception index and will henceforth repent!

Since previous LIES in respect of the state of the Nigerian economy had been exposed, the only option open to a nepotic, tribalistic, die-hard, impunistic, wicked, culpable, complicit and clueless APC Government under the Watch of the Major General Muhammadu Buhari, was to come out CLEAN!

NIGERIA'S PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM IS TOO CHEAP AND TOO CORRUPT!

The outgoing Major General Muhammadu Buhari promised in his desperation for a second term in 2019 that he would tackle poverty and will ensure that 100 million people were taken out of poverty in ten years at the rate of 10 million per annum – and now in 2022, the NBS says 133 million Nigerians are swimming in the ocean of poverty! Who is fooling who?

The National MPI Survey is 0.257 indicating that poor people in Nigeria experience just over one-quarter of all possible deprivations.
Sixty-five per cent of the poor (86 million people) live in the North, while 35% (nearly 47 million), live in the South.
Poverty levels across States vary significantly, with the incidence of multidimensional poverty ranging from a low of 27% in Ondo to a high of 91% in Sokoto.

Over half of the population of Nigeria are multidimensional poor and cook with dung, wood or charcoal, rather than clean energy.
High deprivations are, also apparent nationally in sanitation, time to healthcare, food insecurity, and housing.

Also featured in the MPI Survey are that poorest States which included Sokoto, Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Gombe and Yobe.
Two-thirds (67.5%) of children aged (0-17) are multi-dimensionally poor according to the National MPI and half (51%) of all poor people are children.
Twenty nine per cent (29%), of all school-age children are not attending School while 94% of all out-of-school children are poor. Child poverty reduction is top national policy according to the report.
In general, the incidence of monetary poverty is lower than the incidence of multidimensional poverty across most States.

In Nigeria 40.1% of people are poor according to the 2018- 2019 national poverty monetary line and 63% are multidimensional poor according to the National MPI 2022.

RURAL AND CHILD POVERTY ACROSS GEO-POLITICAL ZONES!

Multidimensional poverty is higher in the rural areas where 72% of the people are poor compared to 42% of people in urban areas.
The highest deprivations are in the indicator of child engagements – where over half of all children lack the intellectual stimulation that is pivotal to early childhood development. Child poverty is prevalent in rural areas with almost 90% of rural children experiencing poverty.

Across the geo-political zones the child MPIshows higher poverty in the North-East and North-West (where 90% of children are poor) and lower poverty in the South East and Southwest (74% and 65.1% respectively).
The incidence of child MPI is above 50% in all states and greater than 95% in Bayelsa, Sokoto, Gombe and Kebbi. Four million Nigerians – 2.1% of the population - live with a child aged 15-17 who is the first generation in that household to have completed primary School!

THE WAY OUT OF THIS QUAGMIRE IS A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THROUGH REFERENDUM THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER AND FAITHFUL PARLIAMENTARIANS IN THE YEAR 2023 FROM ALL THE LOCAL COUNCIL AREAS OF NIGERIA!
VOX POPULI VOX DEI !

Politics / Nigerian Youths Should Henceforth Guard All Inec Facilities Pro Bono! by z07ion: 10:18pm On Nov 19, 2022
One attack too many on government strategic infrastructures!
Outside of Correctional Institution and Police Station buildings across Nigeria, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Offices have become targets of arsonists as the 2023 General Elections approach.

Two INEC Office Facilities in Ogun and Osun South West Nigeria were simultaneously attacked and conflagrated early Tuesday 8th November 2022, to disenfranchise 65,699 Nigerians whose Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), were trapped in the Abeokuta inferno!
Nigeria's nascent democracy, a product of 30 years of illegal military occupation has witnessed quadrennial/off season electoral violence and all forms of malpractices from 1999 to date unabated!

The inordinate ambition for political power in the diarchy that should take the blame but consecutive administrations treaded the path of deceit that inadequate strength of security personnel in the Armed Forces, Police and para-military which is overstretched beyond limit was responsible!

According to INEC, there had been 50 attacks on its facilities in 21 States in recent years between February 2019 to date and hardly had anyone being caught, investigated or prosecuted so far!
Other Items destroyed in Abeokuta, Ogun State included 904 ballot boxes 29 voting cubicles, 30 megaphones, 57 election bags and eight electric power generators while only a portion of the Ede’s Office in Osun was burnt down!

A CALL TO NATIONAL DUTY FOR PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN YOUTHS!

Who were the criminal arsonists that attacked the two INEC Facilities?
Indigenous youths who could scale perimeter fences with ease at an unholy hour of 01.40 am when law-abiding citizens were in bed?
Youths with pre-meditated plans who also torched adjoining buildings with BREAD LOAVES heavily soaked in PMS (petrol)!
And who were the eyewitnesses of all the events which details were given with much accuracy?

The Local Youths who should have formed vigilante groups to watch over the facilities as contribution of their civic duties to the nation!
For the umpteenth time, We call on our youths – able-bodied men and women (60%) of the population to take advantage of the 2023 General Elections which will debut with the introduction of electronic BIVAS, the digital device that will capture both photos and fingerprints of all voters on the election dates and authenticate that every vote counted through electronic transmission of Ward Results to INEC Portals.

It is strongly believed that patriotic local youths in all the Local Government Areas of Nigeria can form formidable vigilante groups to monitor and protect all government institutions and buildings within their neighborhoods as their own contribution to national Security without expecting Naira and Kobo from any quarters instead of lending themselves to dubious politicians who do not care about their welfare! IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING!
We are championing and campaigning that there should be no violent agitations but that all patriotic Nigerians, especially the youths, should demand for REFERENDUM that will provide opportunity to vote for the enactment of a unicameral parliamentary constitution through which a PRIME MINISTER will emerge in 2023!
Of the four major political candidates making waves, none of them is fit to govern this country because they all have skeletons in their cupboards!

With a unicameral parliamentary system of government in place the youths will have the opportunity to elect one of their own candidate from the smaller parties or an independent candidate to fill the position of Prime Minister while several of them will become parliamentarians and a new Nigeria of our collective dreams will emerge!

A REFERENDUM EXERCISE TAKES PLACE IN ONE DAY AND EVERY DECISION VOTED FOR BECOME LAW AND SACROSANCT FOR IMPLEMENTATION BY THE GOVERNMENT IN POWER!

Politics / Diaspora Nigerians Are Economic Power Brokers! by z07ion: 9:12pm On Nov 17, 2022
Brain drain in every field of study in Nigeria had been so commonplace since independence in 1960 because the indigenous government could not offer adequate educational facilities needed by the youthful and exuberant population.
In droves Nigerian youths took off to Britain and other European countries to look for greener pastures. As at that period in history, foreign countries encouraged migration to boost their workforce and they had no reason to travel through the Sahara Desert or Libya, neither flaunt illegal papers nor travel documents as originals to get to their various destinations.
Visa was generously issued to all who would rather go to other countries and develop hosts economies to the detriment of their own native lands.

MIGRATION FROM NIGERIA TO OTHER COUNTRIES EVENTUALLY TOOK DESPERATE DIMENSIONS!

Following the military interregnum from 1966-1979, Biafra War, July 1967-Jan. 1970, migration of youths from Nigeria took fearful dimension to escape the bloody, cruel, gruesome and very devastating atrocities that accompanied the calamities!
In addition, maladministration coupled with gross mismanagement of the economy, abuse of power and institutional endemic corruption became the hallmark of the Military which had no qualms about the most unfortunate plight of the citizenry!
Thousands of thousands of the desperate youths still departed the shores of Nigeria especially when the twin evil of tribalism and religion were surreptitiously introduced to aggravate conflicts through persecution and deprivation/violations of fundamental human rights by pseudo administrators in government!
As at June 2022, there were about fifteen to twenty million Nigerians domicile in the UK, USA, and South Africa.

ADVANTAGES OF DIASPORA REMITTANCES!

Diaspora remittances had always represented a buffer zone to Nigeria's economy whenever it is at its lowest ebb. At all times since independence these monetary transactions had provided the basic amenities which government at all levels failed to supply the Citizens.
Diaspora Nigerians in the year 2012, contributed a whooping sum of USD$12 billion dollars, to the Nigerian economy, annual revenue more than those of 34 States put together! Annual remmitance is pegged at USD$25billion.
However not all those who migrated to foreign countries were good ambassadors of their native lands. Some of them did drugs and committed nefarious crimes but were always fished out to be lawfully punished because of the well-established institutions of law enforcement in those countries.
But all over the world patriotic Nigerian migrants have distinguished themselves and made the country very proud as established professionals in medicine, engineering, science and politics.

NIGERIAN-AMERICANS THAT HAVE MADE NIGERIA PROUD!

In the recently concluded Tuesday 8th November 2022 Midterm elections in the United States of America, eight Nigerian-Americans were re-elected to serve to the end of the first four-year-term of President Joe Biden.
According to the Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC), list release the Nigerian Americans have won legislative seats in the United States midterm elections.
They won seats in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and the District of Columbia DC.
The Federal Government of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari have congratulated the politicians on their successes.

THERE IS NOW AN URGENT NEED FOR DIASPORA VOTING!

Diaspora voting was deliberately opposed by past Nigerian administrations because of the sophistication of the Nigerian- Americans and their counterparts across the world who have been exposed to modern art of digital and electronic voting and who could easily influence innovations that would permanently stop electoral malpractices in their native land.

At this very time of the downturn of Nigeria's economy with a deficit 2022 Budget that cannot even fund Capital projects but can only pay salaries and allowances with borrowed funds from other nations, the Federal Government needs the assistance and expertise of Diaspora Nigerians.

NNPCL AND THE OIL THIEVES!

Oil theft had been another misnomer which has robbed Nigeria from enjoying the windfall which resulted from the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in almost nine months or that Nigerians are not being told the whole truth about the daily liftings and the gains that accrued to the nation in the export of crude oil business.
Recently Mr. President/Minister of Petroleum and all his lieutenants in the Oil and Gas industry have all agreed that subsidy on petroleum products, which has run into over NGN2.8 trillion Naira between Feburary2021- June2022, a period of 17 months is the greatest fraud of the century between NNPC marketers and their contractors.

Another trending story is that an illegal connecting line of crude oil from export terminal into high Sea had been discovered by NNPCL after nine years of the bare-faced robbery of the only national asset that fetched foreign exchange earnings!
Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), in the month of October 2022, disclosed that an illegal oil pipeline connecting directly to the Sea was recently discovered!

He told the Nigerian Senate that the four-kilometre or 2.5-mile connection from the Forcados Export Terminals which typically exported around 250,000 barrels per day of oil into the Sea was discovered during a clampdown on oil theft operations!
According to him oil theft in the country has been going on for over 22 years but the dimension and the rate it has assumed in recent times was unprecedented.
He assured the lawmakers that his agency in collaboration with relevant security agencies had clamped down on the economic saboteurs and within a period of six weeks: 395 illegal refineries were deactivated, 274 reservoirs destroyed, 1561 metal tanks destroyed and 49 trucks seized!
He said oil thieves usually tapped land-based pipelines to siphon oil undetected but that an illegal line in the ocean was unusual and suggested a more sophisticated theft operation!
Diaspora economic power brokers must be encouraged to still support government at this crucial time of national debt embarrassment; the law makers needed to harvest their expertise in the Oil and Gas industry and to encourage them to invest in the coming years by ensuring that Diaspora Voting was firmly entrenched in the new PARLIAMENTARY UNICAMERAL CONSTITUTION THROUGH REFERENDUM THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER IN THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS!

All hands must be on deck to salvage what was left of this great nation which money bag politicians have tried to destroy at all cost.
Where there is a will, there is a way!

Politics / Can Tinubu Hand Over All Assets Of “alpha Beta” To The Common-man? by z07ion: 11:00pm On Nov 10, 2022
Presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ruling party Ahmed ‘Bola Tinubu, had over the years exhibited penchant for soothing economic disadvantages of the unfortunate common man from the vantage position of governance and immunity!

During his two-term tenure as Governor of Lagos State (1999-2007), he dispensed the Treasury as personal vault!

He endeared the masses politically to himself through regular financial inducements which lifted a sizable population to hold allegiance to the Alliance to Democracy (AD), the Party in government which later metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), between 1999-2013.

Those eight years at the helm of affairs in Lagos gave him the ample opportunity to entrench himself as business mogul and political juggernaut, classified as “godfather”!

Bola Tinubu played a major role in the formation in February 2013, the party now known as the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has been in power at the centre forward over seven years.

He led the Action Congress of Nigeria to merge with the Northern Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP), a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the New PDP, a faction of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

Lagos State as the commercial capital of Nigeria, that enjoys a cosmopolitan status and hub of economic activities from around all continents of the world had always been in the lead in respect of Internally Generated Revenues (IGRs), among the 36 States and the Federal Capital City (FCT), of Nigeria.

In 2021 Lagos State realised NGN535 billion naira as IGR and hopes to generate NGN980 billion naira in 2022!

‘Bola automatically became a king maker and handpicked governors that succeeded him from 2007 to date! His wish had never been faulted nor opposed!

MY LIFE AMBITION HAD ALWAYS BEEN TO BECOME THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA!

How 'Bola Tinubu became APC’s flag bearer to the 2023 General Elections is no longer in contention because the political campaigns have begun and the crowd are all surging around him – trusting that he would fulfill his dream.
In a recent conversation with Lagos captains of industries and businessmen from across various geo-political zones ‘Bola Tinubu still made mention of his desire that the “common man” should not suffer basic necessities of life any longer - especially electricity power – if he were elected president!

On his 62nd birthday anniversary on 29th March 2014, Tinubu tagged his Sixth Annual Colloquium Summit topic for discussion as “The Common Man”, and spoke passionately against the evil oligarchic nepotic and tribalistic tendencies of political actors and called for a new set of passionate leaders that would prepare the nation to sustainable growth of human development and prosperity.

Other speakers at colloquium also addressed issues of government's ineptitude to provide basic necessities of life to its citizens in respect of education, access to health care facilities, unemployment among the youths and able-bodied men and women underemployment estimated at 20 million, lack of primary health care, annual infant and maternal mortality rates, number of out-of-school children of primary school age which was put in that year 2014 at 10.5 million!

TINUBU MUST NOW PUT HIS MOUTH WHERE HIS MONEY IS!

The flame of passion for the downtrodden is still burning fiercely in Tinubu and We believe that he would stop at nothing to prove to the world that he is a “committed democrat” and a faithful philanthropist.
The year September-October 2022 deluge that devastated 31 of 36 States of Nigeria did not go unnoticed by the APC Flag bearer who had doled out millions of Naira to unfortunate victims to support Federal and State governments efforts.

He held his 2021 12th birthday Colloquium in the city of Kano and cancelled the 13th which should mark his 70th birthday anniversary on 29th March 2022, to honour victims of the Kaduna-Abuja Train attack by Boko Haram Terrorists!

BUT WILL AHMED BOLA TINUBU TRANSFER ALL OF HIS ASSETS AT THE “ALPHA BETA CONSULTING” TO THE POOR MASSES?

All of his political career what’s embroiled in all manner of allegations of corrupt practices mismanagement of funds and high-handedness in picking surrogates to fill political offices.
He was accused during the 2019 Presidential elections of conveying monies in and out of his residence on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi Lagos; but dammed public outcry with a wave of the hand that he could keep his money wherever he wished!

Apart from dubious educational qualifications Tinubu has been accused of involvement in a private tax-collecting firm known and registered as ALPHA BETA CONSULTING!
It is alleged that Tinubu owns the firm which collects taxes on behalf of the Lagos State Government in spite of the existence of the official State Inland Revenue Services!

Alpha Beta is paid monthly commissions which has just been increased in January 2022 from ₦800 million naira to ₦2.5 billion naira by incumbent surrogate Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu in spite of court litigation against Ahmed tinubu and Alpha-Beta Consulting by a former managing director of the consulting firm!

BOLA TINUBU SHOULD BEQUEATH THE ASSETS OF ALPHA BETA TO THE “COMMON MAN” WHO NEEDS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

For the umpteenth time WE make bold to say that Nigerians are totally fed up with the ever corrupt Presidential System and are demanding through REFERENDUM, A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER IN THE YEAR 2023!
Bola Tinubu and his shameless money bags in other Parties should join the moving train before it is too late or be CRUSHED in its tracks!
“A word is enough for the WISE!”

Politics / Corrupt Stewardship Of Buhari's Administration Is Cause Of Annual Flooding! by z07ion: 10:50pm On Nov 05, 2022
Federal Minister Babatunde Fashola's honest admission that Nigeria's annual flooding was not a unique problem peculiar to Nigeria but a common phenomenon across the world is very correct.

However his allusion that the incessant national catastrophe was “a human issue” that should be dumped on the Citizens’ doorstep is the dumbest submission for a Senior Advocate of his caliber because he, his principal and other stewards in government at all levels are the complicit/culpable state actors within the body politic!

The Federal Government's primary responsibility is clearly spelt out in Section 14 (a) (b) (c), of the 1999 Constitution but when top functionaries like Fashola pass the buck to the downtrodden in situations of this nature there is surely more to it than meets the eye!
He went further to claim that States/Local Government Areas officials should also be held responsible for dereliction of duties that could successfully mitigate annual floods and that all blames should not be heaped on the central government alone.

Annual flooding in Nigeria has become a recurring decimal in spite of the fact that it is not every land in Nigeria that is below the sea level.
The riverine areas of Niger Delta are accustomed to river flooding because of their proximity to the Atlantic Ocean but even at that, they could mitigate the effects without incurring much damages or casualties, given the right incentives.

OFFICIAL STATISTICS OF 2022 FLOOD CASUALTIES IN NIGERIA!

*603 people believed to have been killed.
*1.3 million persons displaced from various communities
*31 out of the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), experienced the flooding which is gradually receding.
*82,053 houses were totally submerged.
*2,504,095 million people experienced the flooding on different scales.
*332,327 hectares of land were ravaged by the flood.
*121,318 houses were partially destroyed.
108,392 farmlands were partially submerged.
*2,407 people sustained various degree of injuries.

Ministers at the Federal level including Lai Mohammed minister of information and Culture, Sadiya Umar Farooq, of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development, exonerated the Federal Government but castigated the Citizens. They insisted that there was enough warning about the flood but that States, Local Governments and communities failed to take heed!
WHAT MITIGATING STRUCTURES DID THE UNITARY PRESIDENTIAL GOVERNMENT PUT IN PLACE IN ALL THE YEARS OF ANNUAL FLOODING?

If official warnings of impending flood were sufficient without mitigating factors on ground it will amount to motions without movement. Every year the various weather forecast institutions would predict heavy downpour of rains and climate change FAILED to build buffer dams to mitigate release of excess water from Cameroons Lagdo Dam.
The Dam was constructed on River Benue south of the city of Garoua between 1977 and 1982 to supply electricity to the northern part of the country and also to allow for irrigation of about 15,000 hectares of farmland crops downstream in Cameroons.
Nigeria was promptly advised to build a Buffer Dam downstream precisely in the present the Adamawa State in the early 80s while Lagdo was still under construction in order to counter excess waters when the Dam began operation.
Has Nigeria built its BUFFER DAMS to date? No!

BUT Sadiya Farouq said Federal Government would initiate a bilateral discussion with authorities in Cameroon in November 2022, on the periodic opening of the Lagdo Dam in order to mitigate annual flooding but made no mention of building buffer dams, dredging of lakes, canals and tributaries that should absorb the overflow into the Rivers Niger, Benue and reduce disasters!
She emphasized the need for State Governments to invest in flood management projects and community-based early warning systems.

SPEAKING TRUTH TO CORRUPTED POWER AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF ADMINISTRATION IN NIGERIA!

It common knowledge to the DOWNTRODDEN Nigerians and the International Communities that this kind of institutionalized CORRUPTION coupled with MILITARY AUDACITY which devour the entire TREASURY – not sparing ANNUAL ECOLOGICAL FUNDS from 1999 to date could only occur under a Presidential Military Constitution!

Citizens MUST unite and demand for REFERENDUM to actualize UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION with which INEC will conduct the 2023 General Elections to produce a PRIME MINISTER AND NOT A PRESIDENT!

Politics / Will Redesigned Naira Notes Offer Some Respite To The Downtrodden? by z07ion: 10:18pm On Nov 03, 2022
The apex Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has announced plans to boost the battered economy with redesigned Nigerian currencies of 1000, 500, and 200 Naira denominations which will be in circulation from 15th December 2022 to 30th January 2023.
Of the three trillion naira currencies currently in circulation, ₦2.7 trillion are outside of the banking sector and have stifled economic transactions through massive infiltration of counterfeit and very dirty currencies that can no longer qualify as legal tender!
Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank governor who made the announcement last Thursday 27th October, 2022 reeled out benefits that will complement the redesigned currencies as follows 1. Terminate counterfeiting. 2. Cancel further official money printing. 3. Check corruption. 4. Precipitate cashless economy and 5. Create liquidity to manage inflation.

FAKE CURRENCIES ARE AS OLD AS NIGERIA!

Before the advent of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), counterfeited currencies had dominated rural trading communities, urban commercial sectors and virtually the entire banking industry!

Fake Naira notes were rarely detected due to forgers perfection except they were detected by eagle eyes during exchange for goods and services; but such transactions in most cases always ended at police stations for arbitration!

In recent times even with the introduction of ATMs it has been detected that powerful syndicates operating in the banking sector have heightened the proliferation or fake Naira notes into the banks. In spite of the confidence of the ATM engineers that the machines would detect counterfeit notes, they passed seamlessly through the machines and into the hands of innocent customers who were eventually embarrassed when they presented such notes as legal tender!

In December 2017 precisely five years ago our Editorial Board launched an investigation to unravel the sources of fake Naira notes that were being dispensed from ATMs alongside legitimate currencies and discovered that a very powerful syndicate in the commercial banks were operating undetected by their principals!

Two fake N1000 currencies came into our possession through withdrawals from an ATM located within a commercial bank and another from the counter of a banking hall in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

We made so much noise about the two separate incidents and threatened to report the banks to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), while we also spoke to some officials the CBN who promised to investigate the complaint and get back to us until FOREVER!

We then called on the Federal Government to hold the CBN Governor responsible for the trillions of naira currencies in circulation all over Nigeria through our publication: Zion B-BC Newsletter, 226th Edition of 10th December, 2017, without response until now when Mr. Emefiele acted a ONE MAN SHOW — of redesigning of the designated currencies without any imput from the Federal Ministry of Finance and National Planning.
The Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning has warned that the new notes will have dire consequences on Naira’s value.

CBN CLAIMS TO HAVE FOLLOWED DUE PROCESS IN THE NAIRA DESIGNING!

CBN’s spokesman said that the management in line with provisions of Section 2 (b), Section 18 (a) and Section 19 (a) (b), of the CBN Act 2007, duly sought and obtained the approval of the President Muhammadu Buhari in writing to redesign, produce, release and circulate new series of 200, 500, and 1000 Naira banknotes to fulfill efficacy in the conduct of monetary policy.
He urged Nigerians to support the currency redesign project because it was in the overall interest of Nigerians since some persons were hoarding significant sums of banknotes outside the vault of commercial banks which threatened the integrity of the currency.

In respect of printing costs of the new Naira notes he said the cost will not be outrageous because they will be printed in Nigeria and within CBNs budget.

COMMENTS:
Well said but has CBN acted ultra vires to Citizens persistent appeal for SYNERGY between Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), in order to get best results and defeat Red Tapism/Bureaucracies that have escalated failures and despondency in the CIVIL SERVICE to date?
MAYBE NOT! In view of the following facts that usually guarded monetary protocol at that level:

*CBN is totally independent of the Ministry of Finance according to a 1989 Decree believed to have been promulgated by General Ibrahim Babangida.
*Just like the Economic Advisory Council (EAC), the apex bank takes instructions and reports directly to the President.
*Redesigning or outright Change of legal currencies MUST be executed with utmost secrecy because it is national sensitive issue!
*Nigerian currencies were changed in 1968 during the Biafra War (1967-1970), with a strategic view of rendering all monies of former Eastern Nigeria as illegal tender!
*In 1973, 1977 and between 1979 and 2009, the Nigerian currencies underwent various forms of changes to boost the economy at those stages of the nation’s development.
*The ₦2.7 trillion naira (about 80% of the ₦3trillion outside of the banking sector) are believed to be hoarded by desperate political moneybags who would stop at nothing to remain in contention at the 2023 General Elections by hook and crook!
*The measure is also believed would greatly reduce general GDP Inflation, especially FOOD INFLATION!
*Minister of finance could not claim total ignorance of the CBN move because one of its Directors is a member of the apex bank board.

IF IT IS AN EGO PROBLEM, WE ADVISE ZAINAB AHMED TO BACK OFF AND FACE THE ENORMOUS DUTIES OF HER MINISTRY AND STOP BEING A MEDDLESOME INTERLOPER!

The Citizens need all positive measures that would cushion the miserable state of the nation's economy now more than ever! This drowning government of the APC must give way to a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THAT WILL PRODUCE FOR THIS GREAT NATION A PRIME MINISTER IN THE YEAR 2023! NO MORE NO LESS!

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13).

Politics / Beauty Of Parliamentary Democracy: British Pm Throws In The Towel In 44 Days! by z07ion: 8:29pm On Oct 29, 2022
The British Parliament is 221years old and Ms. Liz Truss, the 56th Prime Minister stepped down from office on Thursday 20th October, 2022, having spent just 44 days – the shortest tenure on that exalted seat of leadership and power!

Her resignation resonated like a rude shock to world powers and political pundits but not to her colleagues and former contestants who never gave her any credit for success!
In fact one of them described her very short tenure as “ tumultuous premiership” which reneged on key pledges including immigration!
“The race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favour to the learned; but time and chance happened to them all. But he that shall endure until the end the same shall be saved.”

Who would have thought that Liz Truss who was able garner 57% of the 172,000 votes to defeat all other seven contenders (including Nigeria-born ‘Kemi Badenoch), hands down with battery of academic brilliance, cerebral performances, presentations in economy, politics, industry, fiscal and monetary issues, would chicken out when the race was just warming up?
She could not sustain the complicated terrain of the HOT SEAT, was unpretentious but confessed her frustration within 44 official days in office and promised that a NEW LEADER/PRIME MINISTER WOULD EMERGE TO SUCCEED HER IN ONE WEEK! The beauty of UK's Parliamentary Democracy is incomparable, unprecedented!

According to some reports she was said to have resigned her appointment, just 24 hours after she declared, I'm a fighter not a quitter”.
SUCH A FORTHRIGHT DECISION WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN NIGERIA’S MILITARY PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT! (They would rather sit tight, corrupt and destroy the entire system with nepotism and institutional impunity)!

LIZ TRUSS RESIGNATION SPEECH!

In a speech at 10 Downing Street she made the following submissions:
*I came into office at a time of great economic and international instability when families and businesses were worried about how to pay their bills.
*And coupled with Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine which threatens the security of a whole continent and our country has been held back for too long by low economic growth.
*With the mandate of the Conservative Party’s platform on which I was elected we delivered on energy bills and on cutting National insurance and also set out a vision for a low-tax high-growth economy that will take advantage of the freedoms of Brexit.
*I RECOGNISE, THOUGH, GIVEN THE SITUATION I CANNOT DELIVER THE MANDATE ON WHICH I WAS ELECTED BY THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!
*I have therefore spoken to his majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader or the Conservative Party and having met with the Chairman of the 1922 Backbench Committee, Sir Graham Brady, we agreed that there will be a leadership election to be completed within the next week to ensure that we remain on a part to deliver our fiscal plans and maintain our country's economic stability and national Security.
* I will remain as Prime Minister until a successor has been chosen.

LABOUR PARTY, OTHERS DEMAND FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS!

General Elections cycle in the UK is five years. The Tories, voted to power December 17, 2019 will be challenged in fresh elections from December 17, 2024, which means that they still have TWO YEARS to dissolve. UK Prime Ministers and their respective Parliaments can only serve five years from the day on which day first meet.
The next general elections will be expected in January 2025 although an official date is yet to be announced.

Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey has called for a general election by saying that there was no need for another Conservative Prime Minister lurching from crisis to crisis!
Roll call of general elections in recent years had thrown up David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Liz Truss – all Conservatives in that order! Boris Johnson assumed office through the general elections of December 12, 2019.

There can be no better time than now for Nigerians at home and the Diaspora to demand for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION from Major General Muhammadu Buhari, for a Prime Minister to succeed him in 2023!
A PARLIAMENTARY GOVERNMENT is the solution to the current insecurity quagmire that bestrides the nation and no politician should say that the demand is too close to the 2023 General Elections! REFERENDUM is the right instrument for its achievement!

Politics / Conference Of Speakers Should Demand For Referendum Not Fresh Bills! by z07ion: 10:52pm On Oct 27, 2022
Efforts at constitutional amendments in Nigeria always failed because the spirit and letters of the sacred document were consistently mortgaged by selfish, ambitious and very greedy legislators whose manipulative tendencies are at variance with democratic norms!

Political principles by which states or organisations are governed especially in relation to the rights and privileges of the people as set out in statutory constitutions are usually fallible, incompetent or imperfect.

For these reasons they are regularly open to amendments from time to time in order to ensure fiscal discipline, financial prudence and human rights compliance!

But Nigeria's case is different! For instance in July 2017, both Chambers of the National Assembly (NASS), voted on 33 major bills to amend the bogus Military 1999 Constitution, but the votes turned out to be OPPOSED TO THE YEARNINGS, ASPIRATIONS AND SENSIBILITIES OF THE CITIZENS who were agitating for TRUE FEDERALISM as follows:
*DEVOLUTION of powers from Federal to Federating States; NO! *IMMUNITY for legislators during Plenary and Committee Sittings; YES!

*EX-SENATE PRESIDENTS AND EX-HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SPEAKERS be absorbed as members of the COUNCIL OF STATES in order to have equal ranking with Presidents, Vice Presidents and Governors; YES!

*To override PRESIDENTIAL VETO IN CONSTITUTIONAL ALTERATION; YES!

*Removal of LAW-MAKING POWER from the Executive Arm (in respect of National Security Agencies Act, National Complaints Commission, Land Use Act and National Youth Service Corps.) YES!

*35% AFFIRMATIVE INCLUSION OF WOMEN AS MINISTERS; NO!

*APPROVAL FOR 35 YEARS AS MINIMUM AGE FOR QUALIFICATION AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES; NO!

*Approval for INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY AT ALL ELECTIONS; NO!
At the end of their jamboree ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in a letter dated 13th April 2015 to NASS rejected the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution Alteration Bill 2015 because he perceived deliberate attempt by federal lawmakers to whittle down presidential powers!

On the whole he gave 10 reasons for vetoing the entire exercise and all the ONE BILLION NAIRA appropriated for the exercise went into the pockets of the greedy legislators without any query to date!

LAWMAKERS VOTED 44 CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS IN 2022!

Like its 2017 counterpart the current amendments to the 1999 Military Constitution of Nigeria took off on wrong footing and has hit the rocks!
The Amendments which were gender-unfriendly rejected FIVE GENDER BILLS; voted against provision for special seats for women in the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly -208 members of the House of Representatives voted against it!

Both Chambers also voted against Affirmation Action for Women in political party administration while the Senate voted against the Bill on reserved QUOTA for Women and virtually dashed into pieces all provisions that were crafted to enhance greater activities for the Nigerian women in politics and administration!

The 44 voted bills which had been forwarded to all the 36 States to fulfill constitutional requirements that two thirds of STATE ASSEMBLIES must ratify them before they are passed to the President for assent into law since March 2022, were so far approved by only ELEVEN STATES!

QUESTION: How much did NASS appropriate for the wild goose chase – especially at this austere time of HYPER-INFLATION? In 2017, it was a whooping ₦ 1 BILLION NAIRA! It’s now FIVE YEARS ON …perhaps they managed ₦ 5 BILLION!

25 STATES HAVE DEMANDED THAT NEW BILLS MUST BE INCLUDED THE BEFORE THEIR APPROVAL!

State Assemblies working under the aegis of the CONFERENCE OF SPEAKERS TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY JOINT COMMITTEE ON CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW HAVE PRESENTED THE FOUR BILLS AS FOLLOWS :
1) Establish STATE POLICE;
2) Establish STATE JUDICIAL COUNCIL;
3) Streamline the procedure for removing Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly and;
4) Institutionalize Legislative Bureaucracy in the Constitution.

COMMENTS:

It is heartwarming that STATE GOVERNORS have supported their Legislative Assemblies to demand for the FOUR additional BILLS so that the entire AMENDMENTS EXERCISE WOULD SEE THE LIGHT OF THE DAY!

The flaws and loopholes of the 1999 Military Constitution were very glaringly to all LEGISLATORS AT ALL LEVELS FROM THE ONSET, but because of their greedy agenda an lifestyle for illicit gains from the SYSTEM preferred to persistently amend the unamendable instead of opting for the better PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT which is very cost-effective!

LEGISLATORS MUST NOT BE DEMANDING FOR BILLS TO PASS THROUGH BUREAUCRACY AT THIS AGE AND TIME ANYMORE!

THE BEST OPTION OPEN TO THEM IS THE CONVOCATION OF A REFERENDUM ESPECIALLY NOW THAT THEY ARE IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE GOVERNORS!

Referendum will sort out all grey and contentious issues in respect of TRUE FEDERALISM and will produce INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES, (through a brand new UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION) one of whom will emerge as PRIME MINISTER in the 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS from among hundreds of hundreds of Members of Parliament from the Wards.

These States and their Governors must NOT miss this one opportunity to turn Nigeria around for the best and destroy once and for all the MONSTER CALLED INSECURITY! Failed Presidency MUST give way to Parliamentary Democracy!

Politics / 20 Million Out-of-school Children On Nigerian Streets Are Terrorists-in-waiting! by z07ion: 11:13pm On Oct 22, 2022
At one time Nigerian citizens under the Watch of Major General Muhammadu Buhari were told that Boko Haram terrorists had been technically defeated and at another time that they had been totally defeated!
Of recent Defence Headquarters through their spokesperson have claimed that terrorists were surrendering their arms ammunitions including their families to the Federal troops in their thousands.
However it is no longer secret that the terrorists were firmly on ground in several Local Government Areas of Borno, Yobe, Taraba etc, harrasing innocent citizens who are forced into allegiance to their authority and pay regular TAXES!

The last eight years of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Administration have been very scary, disastrous and calamitous due to unbridled insecurity across all geo-political zones and from all calculations without exaggeration more citizens have been killed in this 8 years than in the 16 years from 1999 to 2015!

BUHARI’S PROGRAMME OF DE-RADICALIZATION OF “REPENTANT” TERRORISTS!

Retired major general Muhammadu Buhari pursued a policy of de-radicalisation, rehabilitation and reintegration of Boko Haram Terrorists who claimed to have repented from all acts of terrorism, destruction of lives and properties and also surrendered arms and ammunitions in their possession.

BUT HAS THIS POLICY SUCCEEDED?

We have it on good authority that within months of de-radicalisation and integration into the various societies many of these pretentious combatants returned to the forest with classified information to futher attack, degrade, deplete, and decimate government’s highly guarded security hardwares at military installations!
And in spite of superior arguments by highly-experienced security experts against Buhari's policy the program still continues unabated.

In March 2022 over 500 ex-Boko Haram terrorists were released from the De-radicalisation, Rehabilitation and Re-integration Camp in Gombe State, at an official ceremony in which the forgiven enemies of the State of Nigeria were all dressed in uniformed outfits of the Nigerian Flag of white khaftans and green/white face caps to match!
In a speech delivered on his behalf the Chief of Defence Staff Major General Lucky Irabor admonished the ex-militants to exhibit high sense of responsibility through obedience to lay down rules and regulations and also by applying vocational skills acquired during their rehabilitation which included tailoring, shoe making, cap making, carpentry, laundry etc into good use as they began to enjoy freedom in the democratic dispensation.

According to Military Sources, not less than 8,000 Boko Haram terrorist including some foreigners from Niger, Cameroon and Chad had gone through the de-radicalisation program and more are still surrendering to the federal troops!

BUT A NEW GENERATION OF TERRORISTS ARE GROOMING ON NIGERIAN STREETS!

According to global data of UNESCO, 20 million out-of-school children between age 6-18, are roaming the Nigerian Street from East to West, North to South due to the absence of formal education.
For the past thirteen years and still counting, Boko Haram Terrorists sought to establish an ISLAMIC STATE in order to denounce WESTERN EDUCATION and have not relented in pursuing their evil agenda through several attacks on educational institutions, killings and kidnappings of innocent school children!
UNICEF Report also claimed that between the year 2020 and 2022 not less than 1,400 school children in Nigeria were kidnapped by these terrorists!

Does it not tantamount to policy somersault because on the one hand BUHARI’S GOVERNMENT is de-radicalising illiterate repentant terrorists while on the other, HE IS BREEDING 20 MILLION MORE ON THE STREETS!

And whereas so-called DE-RADICALIZED TERRORISTS still facilitate the kidnap of school children who are conscripted as child soldiers and sex slaves!

APC’S PROPAGANDA SUPPORTS EDUCATION FROM THE PRIMARY TO THE TERTIARY BUT IN REALITY THE SAME GOVERNMENT IS NOT FUNDING EDUCATION AT ANY LEVEL BUT ILLITERACY!
And whereas United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), recommended that at least 26% of the annual budgets of Developing Nations should be devoted to Education!
The highest allocation to education in Nigeria since INDEPENDENCE in 1960, has been a paltry 6%!

It should not be surprising because from Mr. President to the lowest Councillor at the Local Government Areas, most politicians only possess PRIMARY SCHOOL and forged SECONDARY SCHOOL CERTIFICATES to rule over the LITERATES who are 62.02 % of the 200 million population!
The PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM IN NIGERIA HAS FAILED! All the YOUTHS now roaming the streets of Nigeria including the recent crop of so-called politicians should embrace a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION BILL THROUGH CONVOCATION OF A REFERENDUM AND VOTE FOR A PRIME MINISTER IN 2023!

Politics / Let Nnamdi Kanu Go, Rethink And Repent From Secession! by z07ion: 9:37pm On Oct 20, 2022
Apart from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), separatist groups on the Eastern flank of Nigeria, there are over 30 rival groups in the region that have escalated insurgency, brutal killings and a decapitation of innocent citizens, violent attacks on law-enforcement agents and destruction of government strategic infrastructures according to Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe (Abia South/PDP)!

But to Kanu's discredit, Nigerians at home and the Diaspora hold him responsible for every heinous crime that have been committed in that Region from 2012 to date!
Nnamdi Kanu who holds dual citizenship of both Nigeria and Britain was arrested on charges of treasonable felony in 2015 and while his trial was ongoing, jumped bail late 2017, was re-arrested in June 2021 in Kenya, but in spite of his physical absence from Nigeria, his strict orders to disrupt weekly economic activities of Eastern Nigeria on Mondays and Tuesdays, subsisted!

IPOB severally denied its involvement in the seat-at-home order and advised traders to continue their legitimate businesses without fear, let or hindrance. However, those who hearkened to IPOB did not live to tell their stories!

Everyone caught on those forbidden days on the highways, in open stores or even in farms were beheaded, decapitated or gruesomely murdered to serve as deterrent to those who would dare defile the draconian order!
Nnamdi Kanu cannot be exonerated from the persistent insecurity of lives and property in the Eastern Region because he fanned the embers of secession from Nigeria in the first instance by claiming that a BIAFRA still existed even when the 30-month- old Civil war scars were still visible in Nigeria!

APPEAL COURT’S JUDGEMENT ON KANU’S FORCEFUL EXTRADITION TO NIGERIA!

On Thursday 13th October, 2022, the Appeal Court in Abuja discharged Kanu on charges of terrorism preferred against him by the Federal Government.
The Court also declared as unlawful his abduction from Kenya and forceful rendition to Nigeria as a breach against all local and international laws and thereby “making the terrorism charge against him incompetent and unlawful”!
The lead judgement declared as illegal and unlawful Kanu's abduction from Kenya to Nigeria and subsequently quashed the remaining seven counts in the 15-count-charge filed before the Federal High Court by the Federal Government!
Basing its it’s judgement on the breach of Kanu’s fundamental rights, the panel of three judges confirmed that a clear violation by the Federal Government of International Treaties, Conventions as well as the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights was established and therefore lost the legal right to “put him on trial”!

WAS KANU DISCHARGED AND ACQUITTED OF ALL CHARGES OF TERRORISM?
YES & NO!

YES:
1) The Appeal Court noted that the issue of jurisdiction raised by the appellant in the first instance was critical to the case and should have been resolved at the lower Court.
2) The trial court which should have pronounced properly on all issues presented before it decided to turn a blind eye.
3) The trial Court ought to have made findings on the issue raised regarding the extradition.
4) The three man panel also believed that the trial Court lacked the JURISDICTION to try appellant on the retained counts of the charges adding that no court can try him going by the circumstances of the extraordinary rendition.
5) Finally the court resolved the issue in favour of Kanu which dealt with JURISDICTION.
6) The appeal succeeded the order of Lower Court Justice which ordered appellant to answer to count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 15. It was set aside, terminated and dismissed!
7) And appellant was accordingly discharged?

AND NO:
1) The entire trial at the Appeal Court centred on the improper extradition of Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria which the learned judges believed violated International Conventions, Treaties and Laws.
2) The initial thrust of the prosecution to hunt down a fugitive who jumped bail during his trial in respect of treasonable felony and terrorism against his country Nigeria was unattended!
3) The learned judges did not take into consideration that as a Sovereign State, Kenyan Government was aware of International Laws but its Security Agencies cooperated with the Nigerian operatives to track down the fugitive to bring him down to Nigeria for justice.
4) Going by the decision of the Appeal Court, it is conclusive that Federal Government operatives did not violate any known law otherwise Kenya authorities would have resisted Kanu's arrest and extradition!
5)We can respectfully conclude that the learned judges were conscious of the above facts and were very careful not to ACQUIT the appellant!

WILL THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PURSUE NNAMDI KANU'S CASE TO THE SUPREME COURT?

The spokesman of the National Security Council (NSC), meeting held at the weekend Friday 14th October 2022, Minister of Police Affairs said that the Federal Government was considering the appropriate action to be taken on the release of Nnamdi Kanu leader of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The National Security Council meeting was summoned following the Appeal Court judgement which discharged Nnamdi Kanu. Government believes that Nnamdi Kanu was discharged but not acquitted and will take appropriate and necessary actions in the coming days as it deems fit.
He also said that the Federal Government would explore other legal instruments to pursue the matter.
On his part the Minister of Justice and attorney General of the Federation also said that Kanu’s release was not equivalent to an acquittal. At the National Security Council meeting chaired by Major General Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock State House was also attended by the Vice President, Minister of Interior and Service Chiefs.

OHANEZE N’DIGBO PLEADS KANU’S FREEDOM THROUGH POLITICAL SOLUTION!

Igbo leaders and several other well-meaning Nigerians are pleading with the Federal Government to tender Justice with mercy in respect of Nnamdi Kanu who instill kept in custody pending an official move to finalize his trial which began since 2017. However we believe that his lawyers are not helping matters.
They are insisting that their client had been DISCHARGED and ACQUITED and should therefore be released immediately without delay.
Although the Nigerian 1999 Constitution, states that a suspect is presumed innocent until he's proven guilty; therefore in the face of the law Nnamdi kanu is still innocent.

BUT we will not advise that the government should pursue the matter any further for the following reasons:
1) The security situation in Eastern Nigeria is appalling and could be likened to the Boko Haram atrocities in the Northern States with a spillover to other geopolitical zones of the country: therefore consideration should be given to his releasen without much ado in other to douse the tension and uncertainty of peace in the region.
2) The Civil war should not be allowed to be repeated in Nigeria because it is a bad dream. South east Nigeria citizens are passionate business people and they have been contributing to the economy immensely and positively through IGR growth of the 36 States including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

There’s virtually no hamlet, village or city Igbo business people are not found all over Nigeria. By nature Igbo people are friendly and very accommodating but the re-enactment of the unpleasant story of the Civil war (July 1967-January 1970) IS IN BAD TASTE! Nnamdi Kanu’s urge for FRESH SECESSION is trying to change the narrative!
KANU SHOULD BE MADE TO RENOUNCE SECESSION THROUGH THE INSTRUMENT OF LAW AND BE SET FREE TO GO HOME AND SIN NO MORE!

In the 21st Century United States of Nigeria there is “No Victor No Vanquished! In Unity we shall remain upstanding! All N’DIGBO should embrace the call for REFERENDUM to convoke a brand new UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will produce a PRIME MINISTER for Nigeria in the year 2023!
Consecutive PRESIDENCY (1999-2022), of the MONEY BAGS have woefully failed! A stitch in time saves nine. IGBO KWENU!

Politics / Nigeria’s 2023 Transition Budget Is A Castrated Orphan! by z07ion: 10:05pm On Oct 13, 2022
The highest, outrageous and colossal 2023 Appropriation Bill of NGN20.51 trillion dropped by the out-going Major General Muhammadu Buhari before a joint company of National Assembly Legislators on Friday 7th October, 2022, is a CASTRATED ORPHAN!
It has neither father, mother nor relatives because all its ancestors between 1999-2022 were consumed by ceaseless swarm of human fiscal predators which left behind a totally empty treasury as testament!

CORRUPTION PERCEPTIONS INDEX!

The annual Transparency International (TI), Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), in which Nigeria was always ranked very low among world countries was always denied by the leadership of the military presidential government in Nigeria.
*For instance Nigeria scored between 26-27 points out of 100 on the 1996-2019 Corruption Perceptions Index as reported by TI while the ratings were between 144 and 146 out of 180 countries!

*In 2020 Nigeria scored 25 points which was less the 26 of the previous year and ranked 149th position out of 180 countries. The 2020 CPI had revealed that even the top 25 countries had their share of corruption challenges and the covid-19 pandemic year had again shown that no country was immune from corruption but data showed that those top countries tackled corruption effectively.
*Nigeria shamelessly told the world in May 2022, that 91% of Nigeria's crude oil (the major foreign exchange earner product), was stolen by unknown people who will be investigated and brought to Justice.
* According to news media reports in the first quarter January - March 2022, statistics presented at a meeting in Abuja between the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), All Producers Trade Section and Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), revealed that USD$3.2 billion dollars or ₦1.36 trillion naira worth of crude oil was stolen from Nigeria between January 2021 and February 2022!
*Nigeria's four refineries, two in Port Harcourt and one each in Kaduna and Warri with a combined capacity of producing 45,000 barrels of crude oil per day have been moribund since the ascension as President Major General Muhammadu Buhari who is the substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources.
*Yet the government workers of the FOUR redundant REFINERIES were retained and were paid monthly salaries for indolence!
* The illegal Federal Executive Council weekly gathering always presided over by Mr. President Major General Muhammadu Buhari, in May 2022, yet approved another USD$1.5 billion dollars for another round of refurbishing the 32 year-old Port Harcourt refinery!

*An NNPC audit report in 2020 revealed that three of the four refineries recorded ₦1.64 trillion naira cumulative losses between 2014 and 2018. It further stated that the combined losses from the Port Harcourt Refinery and Kaduna Refinery were ₦208.6 billion naira in 2014; ₦252.8 billion naira in 2015; 290.6 billion naira in 2016; ₦412 billion naira 2017 and ₦475 billion in 2018!
*NNPC exports Nigerian crude oil overseas for refining at great losses to the Nigerian government which has been deceiving the poor masses in respect of PHANTOM OIL SUBSIDIES which have amounted into trillions of Naira annually but with no visible dividends for the Citizens other than increased hardship to procure the divinely-endowed natural resource through corruption-induced/persistent artificial scarcity!

*Early September 2022, NNPCL disclosed that it lost 470,000 barrels of crude oil per day which amounted to USD$700 million monthly in addition to security challenges that hinder oil production in some terminals and claimed that crude oil theft had taken severe toll on its performance!
*Between 2015-2020, USD$ 5.5 billion dollars was spent on subsidy; in 2021 alone it went up to USD$3.8 billion dollars and USD$ 6.2 billion dollars in just the first quarter of 2022.
*The huge subsidy payments would account for more than half of the ₦11 trillion naira budget deficit which the Federal Government projected for 2023.
*In 2021 all the 36 States spent the equivalent of USD$ 9 .8 billion US dollars nearly half of what the entire country would spend in 2022 to cover the petrol subsidy payments.
*Federal Government recently put the current DAILY EXPENSES on maintaining the petrol subsidy at ₦18.4 billion for 2022!

WILL NIGERIA SEEK RELIEF FROM THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND?

Nigeria very notorious for borrowing and so it will be very difficult if not impossible for the country under the Watch of President Major General Muhammadu Buhari the ubiquitous borrower from World Bank, Japan, Britain, the United States etc, to approach any other country of the world due to extreme shame – having been classified as the most corrupt country in the entire UNIVERSE!
However the Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation in an interview had said that Nigeria might seek relief from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), if it was unable to address it fiscal challenges!
His words: “Essentially, there are two ways countries end up with the IMF. One is voluntary when they ask IMF for help or when things get to the grind, where they simply have no other option.
“I don't see Nigeria going to the IMF voluntarily. It’s a hot issue here in Nigeria. But the honest truth is that if we don't address our fiscal challenges in a sensible and sustainable manner we may end up unwillingly with IMF.”
His solution: Nigeria should stop to fund REGRESSIVE DEFICITS; but be EFFICIENT IN SPENDING!

2023 CASTRATED ORPHAN BUDGET!

Parameters for execution of the 2023 budget as follows: $70 per barrel oil benchmark daily oil production estimates of 1.69 million barrels inclusive of condensates of between 300,000 to 400,000 barrels per day and an exchange rate of ₦435.57 Naira $1 per 1 US dollar.
Statutory transfers: ₦ 744 .11 billion; non-debt recurrent costs, ₦8.27 trillion; personnel costs, ₦4.99 trillion; pensions, gratuities and retirees benefits, ₦854.8 billion; overheads ₦1.11 trillion; capital expenditure, ₦5.35 trillion, including the capital component of statutory transfers; debt-service ₦6.31 trillion; and sinking fund of ₦247.73 billion to retire certain maturing bonds.

EXPENDITURE PROGRESSION!

In his presentation of the ₦20.51 trillion budget the President said and we quote: “We expect total fiscal operations all the Federal Government to result in a deficit of ₦10.78 trillion in naira. This represent 4.78% of the estimated GDP, above the 3% threshold set by the physical responsibility Act 2007.
“As envisaged by the law we need to exceed the threshold considering the need to continue to tackle the existential security challenges facing the country.
“We plan to finance the deficit mainly by new borrowings totalling ₦8.80 trillion: ₦206.18 billion naira from privatisation proceeds and ₦1.77 trillion naira draw-downs on bilateral/ multilateral loans secured for specific development projects/ programs”

IS THE WORLD HEADING FOR RECESSION IN 2023?

The world will not go into recession but Nigeria may - if serious and urgent steps were not taken to stop the vultures that are now gathered to feast on whatsoever remains of the castrated orphan document called the 2023 Appropriation Bill!
World Bank in June decided to cut its estimate for global growth to 2.9% from April's 3.2% forecast. Some reasons adduced included soaring energy and food prices amid global inflation.
Others were disruptions in grains supply due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, lockdowns in China and the drive by Central Banks to increase INTEREST RATES – according to Bloomberg!

BUHARI WARNS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY LEGISLATORS TO DESIST FROM PADDING THE ORPHAN BUDGET PROPOSAL!

Budget padding, re-writing, re-packaging, re-inventing etc, under the guise of OVERSIGHTS, from 1999 to date had been a pastime of Nigerian legislators especially at the federal level
They have all become billionaires through this dastard/abominable act and are working the streets free. Law enforcement agents had never thought it wise to ever arrest any of them for malfeasance and malpractice which is detrimental to any developing economy.
There is a Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin who told the whole world how the House of Representatives padded and collected billions of Naira during budget oversight in 2016.

He gave detailed analysis of how the money was shared and stated the amount he collected but to date neither the EFCC, ICPC, DSS NOR THE NIGERIAN POLICE SECURITY OPERATIVES had interrogated, investigated nor prosecuted him or his accomplices to ensure justice!
But the poor masses continue to suffer in abject poverty under the Watch of Mr Integrity Muhammadu Buhari who would soon pack his bag and baggage for Daura!

Must we go on like this as a DEMOCRATIC INDEPENDENT NATION? Patriotic Nigerians must arise, demand for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION, to take back their country from these vultures who are never tired of feasting on every annual budget!
Nigeria needs credible leaders (A PRIME MINISTER AND A RETINUE OF PARLIAMENTARIANS), at the helm of affairs at this time of our history more than ever.
“Those who sow the wind will surely reap the WHIRLWIND! Whatever a man soweth that he shall reap!”

Politics / No Coup Was Planned To Sack Buhari, Tinubu And Atiku On Independence Day. by z07ion: 10:29pm On Oct 06, 2022
A coup d’état took place in Burkina Faso on 30th September 2022, removing the interim President Lt.Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba who was only eight months in office over his inability to deal with an Islamist insurgency!

But on 1st October, 2022, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, who in eight years had been unable to dislodge Boko Haram Islamic terrorists from Nigeria, gave glowing tributes of his administration’s security achievements in a broadcast to mark his country’s 62nd Independence Anniversary Celebration.

A new self- acclaimed leader, one Captain Ibrahim Traore who has now taken over as Interim Head of Burkina Faso has accused domicile French Troops in Ouagadougou (the State Capital), of complicity in the disappearance of Damiba now believed to be planning a counter offensive.

Although France (Burkina Faso Colonial Master) has denied any involvement, protesters were reported to have started some fire outside the French Embassy on the day of the coup!

In January 2022 Lt.Col. Damiba ousted President Kabore claiming that he had failed to deal with growing militant Islamic violence.

The Islamic insurgency debuted in Burkina Faso since 2015 and has forced over two million people out of their homes as refugees while thousands have been declared dead!

Like Nigeria, Burkina Faso has experienced several successful military coups since independence in 1960.

WHY WAS THERE NO MILITARY COUP IN NIGERIA ON 1ST OCTOBER, 2022?

The answer to this question is very simple. It would have been a very cheap exit for Buhari who had said to all and sundry that he was already tired and ready to go to his hometown Daura, Katsina to Roost!

For Ahmed Tinubu, who is at war in respect of his candidacy which was alleged to have been purchased with billions of naira, the false certificate saga and also the issue of his illicit wealth including the alleged brush with narcotic drugs while domicile in the United States!

Tinubu is over-burdened so much to ensure any victory in 2023 just as he was unsure of his candidacy which was allegedly bought with money and which a former All Progressives (APC), a former Minister of State for Education is now challenging at the courts!

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who is leading the pack of PDP candidates for next year’s elections is also battling with personality identity and is agitated because WE have prophesied that he should just forget everything about Nigeria's presidency even before the 2019 elections!
He is very uncertain and agitated although he has invested so much funds into the process as a gamble even though tongues are wagging concerning the root of his humongous wealth in spite of the “Triumvirate Books” that were launched on 28th September 2022 to boost his ego!

It is important that these set of people be made to face God's judgement which is closer than anybody thinks. All of them i.e., all the politicians in Nigeria knew the solution to the Boko Haram Islamic terrorism which has been with the country for over 13 years is an all-inclusive UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT TO BE HEADED BY A PRIME MINISTER and also the solution to Nigeria’s INSECURITY CHALLENGES; BUT they would rather opt for illicit LUCRE of office and Cared Less whether the whole population of Nigeria's poor citizens perished or survived!

Military coup de tat – even GHANA'S JERRY RAWLINGS type would have been too cheap for people like Buhari, Tinubu and Atiku and the rest of the presidential aspirants including other politicians who have been recycling themselves in Nigeria since 1960;

BECAUSE:
To be chased out by barrels of the gun when they needed to be charged by their creator who will ask them to give account of their stewardship, would tantamount to killing an ANT WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER!

The MILITARY has claimed that they were always invited by aggrieved POLITICIANS to stage coups to keep themselves in POWER!
NIGERIAN PRESIDENT BUHARI'S QUESTION AND ANSWER BLOOMBERG NEWS: TRANSCRIPT. JUNE 21 2022 IN LATEST NEWS STATEHOUSE GOV.NG/NEWS

Q1. You campaigned for office with a pledge to fight corruption secure the country and fix the economy how will you rate your performance in fulfilling those pledges during your eight years in office? Why has insecurity been so hard to tackle? Are you making headway?
A: We leave Nigeria in a far better place than we found it. Corruption is less hidden for Nigerians feel empowered to report it without fear, while money is returned, terrorist no longer hold any territory in Nigeria, and their leaders are ////deseased; and vast infrastructure development sets the country on course for sustainable and equitable growth.

Security.
In 2015 boko Haram held territory the size of Belgium within the borders of Nigeria. Today they are close to extinct as a military Force. The leader of ISWAP was eliminated by a Nigerian air Force airstrike in March.
The jets acquired from the US and intelligence shared by British were not provided to previous administrations and stand as testament to renewed trust rebuilt between Nigeria and our traditional Western allies under my government.

We urge those same international partners to take additional steps costing them nothing by prescribing another group IPOB as a terrorist organisation. Their leadership enjoys safe haven in the West, broadcasting hate speech into Nigeria from London. spending millions lobbying members of the US Congress, and are freely using international financial networks to arm agitators on the ground. This must stop.

Economy.
We have spent are two terms investing heavily in national road, rail and transport infrastructure set to unleash growth, connect communities and lessen inequality.
This is structural transformation, it may not show on standard economic metrics in now, but results will be apparent in good time.

Corruption.
Starting with a whistleblowing policy enacted in my first year in office hundreds of millions in stolen funds have been returned within Nigeria.
Working with our international partners hundreds of millions of various currencies have been returned from abroad - primarily from the UK, US and Switzerland and used as social and welfare funds distributed directly to the poorest during the Covid 19 pandemic and the provision of long-delayed infrastructure – roads, bridges, rail and power.

WE WILL PUBLISH BUHARI’S ANSWERS TO OTHERS QUESTIONS FURTHER ON CORRUPTION, FOOD INFLATION, BORROWINGS, IMF, WORLD, FOREIGN RESERVES, DEBT SERVICING/REPAYMENT ETC, IN OUR SUBSEQUENT EDITIONS FOR NIGERIANS TO SEPARATE THE CHAFF FROM THE GRAINS!
APC and Buhari's LIES have a terminal date!

In the 62 years of Nigeria's independence BUHARI’S government had deceived and lied so terribly to hurt the Citizens psyche and sensibilities. I

It's a shame that a government of eight years could descend so low as to falsify figures, concoct and distort all economic indices with brazen impunity and still claim DISTINCTION!

This ATTITUDE can be aptly described as a most damnable aberration to TRUTH!

President Buhari’s Government has been the worst in recent times but God will judge them all! None of them will escape HIS PUNISHMENT!

“Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to all people.” (Proverbs. 14:34.)

Politics / Where Is The Power? Buhari Must Answer To Nigerians Before Departure! by z07ion: 10:15pm On Oct 06, 2022
Like other social amenities of the Nigerian economy, ELECTRICITY is an evasive luxury not designed as democratic dividend for the poor masses!

In March 2019, shortly after his victory at General Elections, President Buhari in exasperation blamed past administrations for his failure to fix the energy sector in his first term because Nigerians paid for darkness instead of light because of services not rendered by his administration.
It is no longer debatable that the power sector had become a total failure in spite of Buhari’s manifesto promises to fix it.

And he said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), should be held responsible for persistent darkness being experienced on daily basis by the citizens!

He disclosed that PDP claimed to have spent USD$ 16 billion dollars in the power sector between 1999-2015 but there was no power to show to Nigerians!

“There are no roads, no rail, no power but where is the power,” he queried?
He promised to deliver on his three-prong manifesto to ensure security, boost the economy and the fight against corruption!”

CONSTANT NATIONAL GRID COLLAPSE!

National grid collapse has become a monthly occurrence in Nigeria electricity sector. In the year 2020 alone National grid had collapsed nine times! (A grid is a system of special wires that take electricity from power stations (i.e., places where electricity is made), to all parts of a country.
The transmission system in Nigeria comprises of 330kv and 132kv circuits and sub-stations.
Thermal generation is located in the south of the country generally near the sources of gas while the Hydro generation is located further North at Jebba, Kainji and Shiroro.

The country has 23 power generating plants connected to the National grid with the capacity to generate 11,165 .4 MW of electricity.

IN SPITE OF THE HUE AND CRY BY THE PRESIDENT, HE MADE NO MENTION OF THE ENDEMIC CORRUPTION IN THE ENERGY SECTOR DURING HIS 2022 INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY SPEECH!

President Buhari claimed that he had made significant progress in the eradication of deeply rooted corruption in all areas of national development.
He claimed to be seeking international support for the repatriation of illicit monies which had been corruptly taken out of the country and added that the increasing number of prosecutions and convictions by law enforcement agencies including the refunds of large sums of money from such interventions are still ongoing.

But he did not mention any probe in respect of the USD$ 16 billion US dollars that was completely scammed during the 16 years of PDP administration!

QUESTIONS:
1) HOW MUCH HAS BUHARI ADMINISTRATION SPENT ON THE ENERGY/POWER SECTOR WITHIN THE LAST 8 YEARS?
2) WHAT PROGRESS HAS HIS ADMINISTRATION MADE CONCERNING REGULAR SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY TO POWER MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTION SECTORS THROUGHOUT HIS EIGHT YEARS OF TWO TERMS?

In the month of June 2022, BLOOMBERG NEWS posed the following question to President Buhari:
Bloomberg: Nigeria continues to confront electricity shortages and your government has faced calls to modernize the grid or make the sector economical four stakeholders up and down the chain. Do you think you have done enough to address the nation's energy shortfall? What else needs to be done?
Buhari:

“On grid modernization, there are hundreds of ongoing projects and initiatives attracting funding from investors. Take my Presidential Power Initiative (PPI), a government-to-government initiative between the Governments of Nigeria and Germany which Siemens AG, to upgrade the electricity grid with a USD$ 2billion dollars investment.
“Once signed into law the Constitutional Amendment Bill - recently voted through Parliament- will allow state governments to generate and transmit their own electricity further facilitating investor participation in our market and enabling States and local businesses to transmit excess supply to the grid.”

“We are also decentralizing the National grid through renewable driven mini-grids. The USD$ 550 million dollars Nigeria Electrification Project has deployed more than 20,000 Stand-alone Solar Systems (SHS), as well as Solar Hybrid mini-grids in over 250 locations.”

All of the above statements by the old General are mere rhetoric’s! As usual, he has paid lip service to the POWER SECTOR - just as he has done to SECURITY, INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUES, AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION, MANUFACTURING, EDUCATION, HEALTH FACILITIES etc.!
The Presidential System in Nigeria is a SHAM run by LYING AND SHAMELESS LEADERS!
This is the time for all Nigerians to rise in unison and demand for a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT which will faithfully cater for the needs of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, class, caste etc, and produce a PRIME MINISTER IN 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS!
WHERE IS THE POWER BUHARI?

Politics / Nigeria's Debt Repayment Must Begin With The Accumulated Estacodes Of Pmb! by z07ion: 10:52pm On Sep 29, 2022
NIGERIA'S DEBT REPAYMENT MUST BEGIN WITH THE EIGHT-YEAR ACCUMULATED ESTACODES OF BUHARI AND HIS CABINET!

It had become a permanent culture of civil servants in all former British Colonies all over the world - Nigeria not excluded - to always collect foreign tour allowances known as ESTACODES which they cleverly accumulate in secret accounts in anticipation of comfort in retirement!

The out-going President, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari never missed any opportunity to travel out of Nigeria under the guise of official duties which he could normally delegate his Vice President or ministers to attend BUT foreign journeys attract the estacode (always paid in foreign currencies – mostly US Dollars), “legitimate” official allowances that could not be alluded as corruption)?

The President and his Vice also enjoy 18 jumbo allowances outside of estacodes!
AND THE MILITARY PRESIDENT ALWAYS TRAVELED WITH AN ENTOURAGE OF OFFICIALS NOT LESS THAN 30 TO 40 AT ANY GIVEN FOREIGN JOURNEY!

Estacode, a nomenclature for monetary travel allowance in Nigeria now turned into a colonial heritage and still in practice among Federal, States civil servants, politicians, diplomatic staff etc on foreign official assignments was legitimate during the colonial era; are they still legitimate now?

Nigeria's debt profile which is far above ₦ 40 trillion naira as at Q3, 2022, accumulated through such frivolous journeys by Buhari his entire official and kitchen cabinets who cared less whether the less privileged lived or died!

Between 2015 and 2021 the retired general traveled outside of the country for 52 times and had expended approximately over ₦4 billion naira in junketing across 30 countries in four continents including Africa! And in 2022, the UNGA 77 trip was his 13th in the budget year in which it is estimated he would spend NGN1.5billion, NGN200 less than the NGN 1.7billion budgeted for his international journeys in 2021.

According the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), estacodes released to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), under President Buhari’s watch from 2015 to 2021 stood at over ₦3.77 billion naira!

ICIR CORROBORATED BY CURRENCY OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA ( CBN)!

In its annual report released Thursday 4th November 2021 it was stated that a total amount of USD 3.95 billion was procured in 2019 a loan to fund estacode personal travel allowances to MDS and also to fund Bureau de Change operations.

Also there were allegations of gross abuses in the forms of over-bloated, forged, improvised, nonexistent but fake journeys for purpose of fraudulently collecting estacode allowances during foreign travels in both the Public and the Civil Service circles!

To date no public servant or politician has been brought to justice and the racket has continued unabated with impunity!

From all indications the official fraud is enjoying Government approval otherwise Buhari’s Presidency would not have approved a comprehensive review of the Financial Regulations in respect of the various allowances being enjoyed by personnel of MDAs including the estacode!

QUESTIONS:
1) Was the Committee set up by the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), in November 2021, to consider, review and recommend appropriate Duty Tour, Estacode, Repatriation and Overtime Allowances and also consider, review and recommend appropriate Imprest amount for relevant public servants and political office holders – A RUSE OR A SCAM?
2) What social economic assistance have the poor Nigerian masses benefited from buhari’s foreign trips these past eight years? Instead insecurity is working on his head in all the 774 local government areas of Nigeria and the people are crying to a president who is insensitive to their plight.

BUHARI BEGS FOR FOREIGN DEBT FORGIVENESS FOR NIGERIA AND OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES AT UNGA 77!

Major General Muhammadu Buhari attended recent 77th United Nations general assembly in New York and pleaded that unsustainable external debt service suspension as well as outright cancellation should be considered 4 countries facing fiscal and liquidity challenges.
In his words: “Indeed the multi-faceted challenges facing most developed countries have placed a debilitating chokehold on their fiscal space.

“This equally calls for the need to address the burden of unsustainable external debt by a global commitment to the expansion and extension of the Service Suspension Initiative to countries facing fiscal and liquidity challenges as well as outright cancellation for countries facing the most severe challenges.”

Earlier in his speech Major General President Muhammadu Buhari harped on the negative global effects of Covid 19 which constituted a threat that could not be contained within national borders and how States tried to meet and mitigate the challenge.

He also touched on the adverse effects of CLIMATE CHANGE which “fuels conflicts and complicates FOOD SECURITY” and claimed that in 2021 his administration adopted a national climate change strategy which aimed to deliver climate change mitigation in a sustainable manner.

He believed that Africa and other developing Nations produce only a small proportion of greenhouse gas emissions compared to industrial economies yet Africa was hardest hit by the consequences of climate change through sustained droughts in Somalia and floods of unprecedented severity in Pakistan!

The President believed that the rocketing energy cost worldwide were in part the product of conflict and supply disruptions to Europe and the Americas and suggested that the World Body in collaboration with the upcoming COP 27 would help to galvanize the political will required to drive action towards the fulfillment of the various existing climate changing initiatives.

WHEN DOES THE OLD GENERAL EXPECT THE DEBT CANCELLATION OF OVER NGN40 TRILLION NAIRA ACCRUED BY NIGERIA?

The Nigerian President no doubt made a poor presentation of the DEBT CANCELLATION BRIEF at UNGA 77 because he addressed the wrong gathering!
He made a laughing stock of himself and his entourage because even the WORLD BANK, CHINA, THE UNITED STATES Banking Sector etc, were aware of large-scale corruption with official impunity among the three tiers of government in Nigeria and also prodigality with which the politicians who have cornered ANNUAL BUDGETS and spend all proceeds of the crude oil among themselves and their cronies!
Civil Service personnel and the entire Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), happen to be a FORCE to be reckoned with in the looting of the “TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT, (TSA) EXCESS CRUDE, SOVEREIGN WEALTH, SERVICE WIDE VOTE ACCOUNTS – all of which at Ground Zero!

Nigerians have been shamelessly told by the Minister for Finance and National Development that monies would be sought to fund the 2023 Budget Estimates of NGN 19.76 trillion in which NO FRESH CAPITAL PROJECT would be entertained!

OUR VERDICT:
President Buhari's bank accounts and those of his official/kitchen cabinets, the Aso Rock Cabal, all members of his close/extended family, Special Advisers and all the All Progressives Congress APC politicians who have brought the Nigerian economy to its knees through massive corruption SHOULD BE FROZEN without delay by the EFCC FOR ALL ESTACODES TO BE RECOVERED with other illicit funds to be put together to begin the process of DEBT SERVICING/REPAYMENT.
He MUST not retire to Daura with those Estacodes while the TALAKAWAS suffering Nigerians masses, die in abject poverty.

Politics / Swim Or Sink - You Must Take Over In 2023! ( Letter To Nigerian Youths.) by z07ion: 10:29pm On Sep 23, 2022
For the umpteenth time WE make bold to prophesy to literate, cerebral and well-educated Nigerian Youths that 2023 is the appointed year for one of you to become PRIME MINISTER of Federal Republic of Nigeria!

All those who are parading themselves right now as presidential candidates of the so-called three major parties APC PDP and LABOUR are part and parcel of the whole group which had collectively destroyed the nation’s economy in 62 years of military and civilian occupation!

The offensive nomenclature of “Poverty Capital of the World” is stuck on the nation as LEACH because they have corruptly looted all monies, all mineral resources, all the crude oil accruals and in order to cover their tracks have institutionally created terrorism, banditry and all manner of crimes and criminalities to subject the innocent citizens to a sustained and continuous mental dislocation!

Had the murderous attacks been frequently unleashed on the doorsteps, homes and properties of all those squandrels at the helm of affairs of this country the corresponding purge would have produced very patriotic, righteous, thoroughbred, and god-fearing citizens into governance!

A perusal of the profiles of the 18 political parties candidates gunning for the presidential seat show very clearly that they are the same very corrupt old foxes who are shameless re-packaging their dirty resumes.

APC Presidential candidate Ahmed Tinubu has not been able to defend all the accusations in respect of the alleged illicit wealth that accrued to him over the years and also his involvement in some drug activities while in the United States.

The same goes for PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar who has also amassed so much wealth that he can be said to be richer than Nigeria as a nation because he collects daily Port taxes on behalf of the Federal Government through camaraderie with Major General Muhammadu Buhari!

OPEN WINDOW FOR YOUTH GOVERNANCE AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL!

Now that a providential open window is available to the youths of this nation, patriotic Nigerians would expect that they will grab the opportunity with both hands BUT in reality most of them are pre-occupied with grabbing CRUMBS from the tables of those corrupt politicians!

THEY have thrown all their credentials and knowledge into the gutters and opted to become special advisers to robbers and criminals in government BUT God will not forgive disobedient Nigerian Youths He Had specifically CHOSEN if they failed to utilise the golden opportunity !

WHAT IS THE PROPHETIC OPEN WINDOW FOR NIGERIAN YOUTHS IN THE COMING ELECTION?

The open window is the PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT which the Youths in unity can make happen now if they close ranks and sponsor (1) The Bill for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION which can be put together within one MONTH (30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS) by legal luminaries; (2) Present the document before the National Assembly which must go through all stages of reading and passed in ONE DAY! (The 8th National Assembly passed about 26 Bills in one day towards the end of its tenure); (3) Communicate the NEW BILL to Mr. President who MUST APPEND HIS SIGNATURE ON PRESENTATION and (4) The New Constitution be passed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for the conduct of the 2023 General Elections. (5) All of above MUST be executed with precision from the day of resumption of the NASS from annual vacation on 20th September, 2022.

Retired major General Abdusalam Abubakar produced the1999 Nigerian Constitution within FIVE MONTHS and inspite of its numerous faults has been in use for almost 22 years! The UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION can also be produced in like manner!

The new constitution will provide for REFERENDUM to take care of contentious issues and also provide for INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY.

Majority of very intellectual and cerebral youths in Nigeria today cannot afford to pay NGN100 million as candidacy/nomination fees which was a deliberate obstacle to disenfranchise them from ever becoming Nigeria’s President at anytime until they became very old?

Big and powerful Nations of the world, the United States Great Britain, Germany, China etc, conduct elections regularly without rancour without hues and cries, without muders and assassinations and without crisis because they have great institutions that could neither be corrupted nor compromised from one generation to another!

It was high time for Nigerian Youths to close ranks now and come out as INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES to slug it out with this money bags who are at the point of departure BUT clandestinely bent on destroying what was left of the freaky structure of the economy through continuous borrowing and stealing!

The Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS), released the following statistics in this Third Quarter (Q3) in respect of food inflation which has risen to all high 20.8%, exchange rate which has gone haywire to over NGN 700 naira to USD$1 dollar!
Federal Government shamelessly say that “NNPCL loses USD$700 million monthly to Crude Oil Theft at the rate of 470,000 stolen barrels per day under the watchful eyes of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mr President himself and nobody is brought to account, nobody is arrested, nobody is prosecuted in court!
It is a free-for-all looting, courtesy of the Cabal in charge of President Buhari’s government!

And this President exhibited a stubborn courage to tell Nigerians during his recent visit to IMO STATE that his government was doing well!
NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS have been home for almost one academic year now because their lecturers were yet to come into amicable agreement in respect of their demands from the Federal Government!
And Electricity Workers are threatening again to shutdown the National grid and put the nation into darkness!
The Internally Displaced Persons (IDP), camps have become some sort of mecca in 13 unbroken years of terrorism as all and sundry flock to collect the regular Federal, States and NGOs donations of foods, clothings, monies etc. while the women get pregnant round the clock!

THE FRAUDULENT PETROLEUM SUBSIDY PAYMENT WAS STILL CAPTURED IN THE APPROVED 2022 BUDGET!

A whooping sum of $6.2 billion has been disbursed as Petroleum Subsidy in the First quarter of the approved 2022 Budget expenses currently undergoing execution by the Executive!
According to the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI), Nigeria had spent NGN13.7 trillion naira the equivalent of USD$374 .386 billion dollars on petrol subsidy payments from 2005 22020!

The disclosure was made before the House of Representatives Ad- hoc Committee investigating the petrol subsidy regime from 2017 to 2022.

The agency also said subsidy will continue to suffocate this economy and will not allow it to breathe because it is a payment that must be made and then we do not also think that those expected to benefit are the beneficiaries.

According to NEITI subsidy payments in 2005 were NGN 351 billion naira or USD2.66 billion dollars; N219.72 billion naira or $1.70billion dollars in 2006; N236.64 billion naira or $ 1.89 billion dollars, 2007; N360 18 billion naira or $3.03 billion dollars, 2008; N198.11 billion naira or $1.60 billion dollars, 2009; and N416 .45 billion naira or $2.76 billion dollars, 2010.

In 2011, the payment was N1.9 trillion or $12.18 billion; N690 billion or $4.34 billion in 2012; N495 billion or $3.11billion 2013; N482 billion or $2.92 billion 2014; N316.70 billion or $1.62 billion 2015; N99 billion or $0.39 billion 2016; N141.63 billion or $0.44 million 2017; N722.30 billion or $2.36 billion 2018; N578.07 billion or $1.88 billion 2019 and N134 billion or $0.37 billion in 2020.

From the NEITI Report, it is very glaring that the Executive under the Watch of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, the Legislature, NNPCL, the Nigerian OIL BILLIONAIRES and their FOREIGN COLLABORATORS ARE ALL COMPLICIT IN THE HUMONGOUS FRAUD!

QUESTION: Are you going to remain nonchalant when your future is at STAKE? There is virtually nothing to inherit from the outgoing administration of the old General other than DEBTS which even your own children and grandchildren may not be able to repay!

DO YOU want your country to become a present day Somalia or Afghanistan or a complete Banana Republic? THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT NOW!
Our collective prayer is that you will rise from your SLUMBER, organise yourselves as you did during the 20th October 2020 #ENDSARS PROTESTS which was very articulate, very cerebral, well-organized and well-conducted.

Nigerians don’t expect you on the streets – never again! Get the Bill for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION and take over in 2023 through your favourite Candidate!
You have the majority number and We will all pray that you rise to the occasion and POSTERITY will remember you as gallant youths who saved NIGERIA FROM FALLING OFF THE PRECIPICE!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

Politics / Nigeria Is The Bastard Child Of Great Britain! by z07ion: 11:01pm On Sep 16, 2022
Who would have thought that Great Britain – a politically, economically and security-stable nation gave birth to Nigeria 108 years ago?

In all the centuries of the parliamentary system of government in Britain - which has been in existence as far back as 1056 AD, political administration had always been smooth sailing that unlike politics of bitterness, rioting and bloodshed which had been Nigeria’s trade mark from time immemorial!

Some historians had always blamed Nigeria’s consecutive, incongruous, brutish, riotous, uncivilized and bloody political elections on the British Colonial Masters who deliberately handed over the Federal Government at Independence in 1960 to the under-developed and semi-literate Northern Protectorate!

Much as that assertion may be arguable, the British government requited to Nigeria a Parliamentary System of government which was and still is better than the Presidential System which has virtually dominated administration of the nation in 62 years as an independent country!

Parliamentary System of government is cost-effective and masses-friendly due to the participatory opportunities open to citizens from the Wards, Counties, Local Government Areas and up to the Central Government for patriotic service to their country!

Who would have thought that the last few months before September 5, 2022, when the change of baton was concluded between Boris Johnson and Liz Truss, that an election at that topmost hierarchy of government would be so incontroversial rancour-free and very democratic in nature and essence?

DOUBLE CELEBRATION OF ICONIC DEMOCRACY THE BY BRITISH EMPIRE.

It’s double celebration for the United Kingdom which was simultaneously blessed with brand new King and Prime Minister all in the month of September 5th-11th!
The unbroken umbilical cord between the United Kingdom and Nigeria cannot be wished away but will still wax stronger with the ascension to the throne of King Charles III, who is Nigeria-friendly and must now broker a FRESH FILIAL ARRANGEMENT to take the black African country out of its path is SELF-DESTRUCTION!

SHAMELESSLY NIGERIA CANNOT SOLVE IT'S PERENNIAL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND INSECURITY PROBLEMS WITHOUT RUNNING TO LONDON FOR COUNSEL INTERVENTION OR RESOLUTION!

Whenever there occurred any form of internal crisis, dubious Nigerian leaders would jet overseas to seek foreign solutions to resolve local issues or contentions!
And whereas, the seemingly unstoppable spate of criminal calamities forced on innocent Nigerians through terrorism, banditries, kidnappings, arsons, bombings etc, leading to public and institutional insecurity of lives and properties had been rightly traced to endemic CORRUPTION well grounded in the administration of the economy BUT WHICH ARE NON-EXISTENT IN BRITAIN!

Historically Nigeria had been a Commonwealth Colony since the year 1861 but it was not until after the 1914 Amalgamation of the Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria and the Protectorate of Northern Nigeria that formal government by the British began to take shape and political administration formalized.

Within a space of 39 years of servitude to the Colonial masters, (1914-1953) political awareness among stakeholders of the Colony of Nigeria began to gain momentum and the need for actualizing an Independent State through dialogue and peaceful conversations dominated the center stage among local politicians.

As fruitful official conversations progressed both in London and Lagos, names of delegates slated to attend the October 1953 London Constitutional Conference comprising of representatives of the various political genres; (Action Group (AG), National Council for Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC), Northern Elements Progressive Union (NEPU), Nation of Cameroons and National Independence Party (NIP), accompanied by Delegates were forwarded well in advance to the British Government to facilitate all necessary preparations.

EXTRACTS FROM THE UK PARLIAMENT HANSARD ON THE LONDON AND LAGOS CONFERENCE ON THE NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION, 21ST OCTOBER 1953:

UK Secretary of State for the Colonies Mr Oliver Lyttelton, was requested to make statements regarding the conclusions reached on the future Constitutions of Northern Rhodesia and Nigeria during his visits to those territories. And also whether he would make a statement on a recent Conference held in Nigeria.
He answered as follows “The Lagos conference continued and completed the work of the conference held in London last summer. I am glad to be able to inform the House that it was an unqualified success.
“All the conclusions which were reached at Lagos were arrived at by general agreement. The fears which had been expressed in some quarters that my decision at the London conference to make Lagos, a Federal Territory would make this impossible have proved unfounded.
“I welcome this opportunity of paying tribute to the spirit of goodwill in which all the delegations approached the task. All the delegations showed a remarkable insight into the niceties of Constitutional checks and balances and displayed a willingness to sink sectional interest for the common good.
“The work involved Is massive but I hope they will be ready in about six months time. The revised constitution will be reviewed again at a further conference of similar composition to be held not later than August 1956 when any question relating to the constitution will be open for discussion.
“The new arrangement under which the Southern Cameroons will cease to be part of the Eastern Region but will continue to be administered as part of Nigeria, as quasi Federal Territory was worked out in agreement with the representatives of the Southern Cameroons.
It is welcome to them and was endorsed by other Nigerian delegations. The insulation from politics of the Judiciary, the Police and the Public Service has been secured with general approval.
“The decisions taken in London and confirmed at Lagos to regionalise the Public Service and the Judiciary have been criticized on grounds of expense and administrative inconvenience.
“I would however remind the House that even the smallest of the three regions in Nigeria with a population of 6.360,000 million is - with the exception of Tanganyika - bigger than any other British Colonial Territory anywhere else in the world.

NIGERIA HAD FOUR PRE-AND-FIVE POST-INDEPENDENCE CONSTITUTIONS!

Sir Arthur Lyttelton Constitution of 1954 was the last of the pre-independence documents which existed for six years and ushered peaceful transition through the first Independence Constitution of 1960 for Nigeria.

QUESTION: Could it be said that Nigeria got its Independence on a “PLATTER OF GOLD” and as such did not cherish it’s own worth? And therefore like the PRODIGAL SON, went abroad to squander all the abundant riches of the greatly-endowed nation with Foreign-Exchange Earner Crude Oil and over 35 identified natural resources buried in the belly of the helpless Giant Nation!

Current Nigerian leaders should bury their heads in shame for bringing the Giant of Africa into so much disrepute among the comity of Nations.
They must not be allowed to go scot-free with all the stolen wealth of this nation in their possession!

Nigerian Whistleblowers MUST move into action now and expose this corrupt leaders before they can cover up their dirty Deals!
NIGERIA SHOULD FOLLOW GREAT BRITAIN'S FOOTSTEPS IN ORDER TO CHANGE ITS PRESENT IGNOMINABLE IDENTITY!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

Politics / Ex-militantcommander Tompolo Bags 4 Billion-naira Monthly Oil Pipeline Contract by z07ion: 11:16pm On Sep 10, 2022
FUGITIVE EX-MILITANTCOMMANDER TOMPOLO BAGS FOUR BILLION-NAIRA MONTHLY OIL PIPELINE CONTRACT!

Having been “cleared” of all charges of theft and money laundering by the Buhari-led APC Government, Ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Government Oweizide Ekpemupole (aka Tompolo), has turned out to be the “ROBINHOOD” that would save for Nigeria the annual humongous trillions of naira loss due to CRUDE OIL THEFT AND OIL BUNKERING in the Niger Delta region!

For a period of six years 2016 – 2022, Tompolo who was a fugitive on the POLICE WANTED LIST disappeared completely into thin air from the Nigerian political and economic scene without a trace in spite of intensified efforts of security agents to arrest him!

However “much water has flowed under the bridge”, Tompolo got a reprieve and suddenly re-emerged to become the beautiful bride among all the ex-militant commanders who surrendered their arms in return for a GENERAL AMNESTY PROGRAMME to the Federal Government of late President Umaru Yar ‘ Ardua on 4th October 2009, who paid them monthly allowances in billions of naira for peace to reign in the Niger Delta region!

The 1990s recorded violent resistant activities by several Niger Militant Delta armed groups of which Tompolo played leading roles and eventually became leader of the reknown Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), before the advent of the Millenia year 2000!

He championed the cause of the Niger Deltans who were abandoned and neglected by consecutive governments in spite of the degradation, devastation through exploration and exploitation of crude oil from their region without adequate compensations for the horrible damages inflicted on both farmlands and the environments!

His groups pressed home their demands that all the exploiters - the locals and the international oil companies - must be made to pay handsomely for the rehabilitation of the degraded lands of Niger Delta and environments through kidnappings of both local and expatriate oil workers and also blasting of pipelines which resulted in the loss of the lives of innocent Nigerians in the region!

WHY DID THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AWARD THE PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE CONTRACT TO TOMPOLO?

The Federal Government has said through the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, that Tompolo was not awarded the controversial pipeline surveillance contract in person but to the company in which he has interests and in the interest of the people of the region.
He also explained that it was not the first time that individuals within the Niger Delta Region were awarded contracts for pipeline surveillance adding that it was the belief of the Federal Government that it was a wise and right decision to hire private contractors to man oil pipeline network nationwide.

Tompolo was credited to be versatile in the security network of the terrain which he handled creditably in the past. Contractors were selected through a tender process for those who could carry out the assignment because government dealt with corporate entities while government security agencies would continue to play their overall constitutional roles of protection of lives and property in the country.

IT IS ONLY IN NIGERIA’S PRESIDENTIAL ALL-COMMERS SYSTEM THAT CRIMES AND CRIMINALITIES ARE CELEBRATED WITH IMPUNITY BY GOVERNMENT!

NIGERIA IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHERE EX-CONVICTS, CRIMINALS AND DE-RADICALIZED TERRORISTS ARE FOUND DINNING AND WINNING IN CORRIDORS OF POWER!

IT IS ABSOLUTELY ANATHEMA! THIS KIND OF AFFRONT AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS AND SENSIBILITIES OF THE OVER 200 MILLION NIGERIANS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT WHERE POWER IS BROKERED BY THE PEOPLE IN A BOTTOM-TO-TOP APPROACH!

Please join the campaign to produce a brand new UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION NOW! Nigeria needs a PRIME MINISTER in 2023 and not the ABASED AND BANKRUPT PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM!

I am, yours sincerely, Dr. David B.A. Olufon, 08130669886, 08080243066. G-mail-dvdolufon@gmail.
Politics / From Ground Zero To Ground Zero Zero Of The Nigerian Economy! by z07ion: 11:59pm On Sep 08, 2022
For SEVEN consecutive years retired Major General President Muhammadu Buhari and his Cabal- in-Council kept chanting a broken record that their political Party inherited a virtually empty treasury in 2015 when they took over the mantle of leadership in Nigeria!
From the biblical Book of Genesis to Revelation, the number Seven (7) symbolises the nature/state of perfection and completeness – a fact that is universally acceptable by all Faiths, races and kindred’s of the Earth.

But for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Administration, tales of woes and calamities characterized by failure in actualizing dividends of democracy through ineptitude, impunity, corruption, insecurity, bloodshed and total impoverisation of the entire population in SEVEN worst years ever witnessed in Nigeria (except for the politicians) whose salaries and allowances and larger-than-life lifestyle had never CHANGED!

THEY MANIPULATED NIGERIANS – ESPECIALLY THE YOUTHS - IN 2015 SAYS BISHOP MATTHEW HASSAN KUKAH!

Catholic Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah of the Sokoto Diocese turned 70 years on the 31st August 2022 and made the following scathing statements on NIGERIAN POLITICS tagged” Nigeria’s Unfinished Greatness: Next Steps”, at the commissioning of KUKAH CENTRE through a panel of discussants and also in a special interview on ARISE NEWS.

1) In the seventh/eighth years, Nigeria ran a political system that is a combination of theocracy and of feudalism. It is a system that is so complex and convoluting that it cannot pass the test of democracy.

2) Since the concept of leadership is increasingly being redefined as a result of globalisation the world is no longer focusing on who your father or your mother is or what your town is. The world is now focusing on what is in your brain - your brainpower - your ability, your capacity to govern the world by sheer brain not brawn. This is also the reality of politics in Africa.

3) He said it was important for the political actors particularly the 2023 presidential candidates to listen to the young people understand their frustration and align their agenda toward assuaging their grievances because the 2015 misplaced passions have dissipated through the instrumentality of religious deceit and manipulation which was described as “jihad”!The forthright and out-spoken man of God said it was the worst type of fraud for any politician to promise undiscerning youths the establishment of either an Islamic or Christian State in Nigeria!

4) Ethnicity was the other 2015 LIE which the desperate politicians employed to further diversify the fragile tolerance and successfully pitched citizens against one another in multiple clashes that snuffed out thousands of innocent lives!

THE CLERIC AMONG OTHER THINGS ALSO SAID THAT NEW GENERATION POLITICIANS SHOULD MOVE TO THE NOOKS AND CRANNIES OF NIGERIA TO SELL THEIR CONVICTIONS BECAUSE THE ENERGY OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR ATTENTION TO THE COUNTRY'S ELECTION MUST BE ADDRESSED IN ORDER TO SIFT THE RIGHT CANDIDATES TO GET THE DESIRED OUTCOME.

The word perfection is nowhere found in Nigeria’s economic lexicon because President Major General Buhari was already tired and completely SPENT at resumption of office in 2015!

Having tried on three unsuccessful times to become a democratic president of Nigeria on the fourth occasion there was no more stamina left in the septuagenarian for him to run even a Local Government Area!
He said an assumption of office and we quote him: “I wish I became Head of State when I was a Governor just a few years as a young man. Now at 72 there's a limit to what I can do.” (He had served as a Military Governor at age 33 and Head of State at 40!)

The past 7 years of Buhari's administration have been characterised by the worst kind in the breakdown of law and order, terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, assassinations, attacks on correctional facilities, police stations military formations etc, that became endemic throughout the entire Six-geo political zones of the country!

Addicted borrowings (local and foreign ), which resulted in outrageous indebtedness that may not be redeemed in two to three generations after Buhari’s departure from office!
In all of these, international assessment indexes credited the country for being the POVERTY CAPITAL of the world due to massive corruption with impunity under his watch.

In spite of the abundant natural mineral resources in all States of Nigeria and especially of CRUDE OIL which had been the MainStay of the economy, organised OIL THEFT surreptitiously organised with the official connivance of those in authority thrived without restraint!

OPEC PRODUCTION QUOTA OF 2.3 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY CANNOT BE MET!

While other oil-producing nations are enjoying a windfall through volatile escalating oil prices - a fallout of the UKRAINE-RUSSIA CONFLICT Nigerian leaders are lamenting that the new NNPCL is only operating on paper and cannot fulfill its obligations to the Nigerian taxpayers in respect of foreign exchange earnings.!
The out-going APC administration according to the Grapevine has plan to falsify sales figures in respect of the OIL WINDFALL in order to rubbish a true perspective of the economy!

Although oil exports account for about 80% of Nigeria's foreign exchange Revenue: assuming that Nigeria could meet its production qouta and earn between USD$100-130 dollars per barrel in the Oil Boom, the difference between its 2022 Budget Oil Price Benchmark of USD$67 dollars (over 100%), would not be sufficient to SERVICE EXISTING DEBT RUNNING NGN45 TRILLION NAIRA!
We have it on good authority that very soon both OIL THEFT and PIPELINE VANDALIZATION will fizzle into the past because the Federal Government under the Watch of President Buhari is working with local contractors in the Niger Delta Area to engage repentant militants to protect this major asset of the Nation.
We want to believe that the effort will work out without any hitch and the dent created on foreign exchange earnings will be successfully ameliorated.

QUESTION: Will the ex-militants be faithful to agreement? As it is being rumoured that THE CONTRACT WAS A PLOY TO JETTISON THE CONSTITUTIONAL 13 % DERIVATIVE FORMULA FOR OIL-PRODUCING STATES AND DEMAND FOR “DERIVATIVE FORMULA”!

BREAKING NEWS‼

VICE PRESIDENT ‘YEMI OSINBAJO HEADS NIGERIA DELEGATION TO SEEK USD$410 BILLION DOLLARS TO ACTUALIZE THE TRANSITION PLAN TO A NEW GOVERNMENT IN 2023!
As a constitutional chairman of the National economic Council (NEC) Vice President ‘Yemi Osinbajo was assigned by his principal to go a-borrowing as the head of a delegation to United States for financial support for the recently launched ENERGY IMPLEMENTATION WORKING GROUP PLAN (ETWG).
The Vice president who had no choice collected the baton to run the BORROWERS RACE which was championed in the past Seven years by the retired General BUT WOULD HE BREAST THE TAPE?

At his whims and caprices, the Major General deprived his deputy to function as Chairman of the (NEC), BUT constituted at various times irrelevant economic groups to spite him!

It is on record that the Vice President's Economic Recovery Plan Growth (ERPG), saved the nation from an embarrassing double economic recession between Quarter 4, 2015 and Quarter 3, 2016!
The VP who has been in Washington DC since 1st September 2022, would lobby top Biden Ministers, President of the World Bank Group and his US counterpart Kamala Harris, if the Transition Plan MUST MATERIALIZE!
It’s only in Nigeria’s Military Presidential System that a government would borrow to pay salaries and allowances to the very end of its TENURE and still have the audacity to campaign for CONTINUITY!
Patriotic Nigerians MUST URGENTLY SUPPORT THE BILL FOR A BRAND NEW CONSTITUTION THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER THROUGH PARTICIPATORY REPRESENTATION ON 25TH FEBRUARY 2023!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

Politics / C.A.N Must Team Up With Boko Haram Negotiators Now! by z07ion: 10:24pm On Sep 01, 2022
CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (CAN) MUST TEAM UP WITH BOKO HARAM NEGOTIATORS NOW!

Boko Haram insurgency was preventable at the onset in August 2009 but bad leadership and government of the North-East Borno State Administration nurtured and festered the anti-Western Education motley Islamic group to blossom into a monstrous dimension within five years to kidnap 276 chibok girls and also to hit several soft targets in the Federal Capital Territory - seat of government!

Government Girls Secondary Boarding School, Chibok, a predominantly Christian-dominated institution was invaded on the night of 14th April, 2014, but a sitting Christian President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was unruffled and dismissed the massive abduction with a wave of hand as a political propaganda to divert attention from serious issues of government!

Early in the morning of the same day a BUS TERMINAL in the satellite part of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory called Nyanyan was also bombed by the same Boko Haram group and several souls were lost in the disaster!

The now ex-President visited the gory site, expressed condolences and flew to Kano for political jamboree of his ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The spate of kidnappings, arsons, bombings increased by the day and months until the election year 2015 which ushered Muhammadu Buhari as new president!

Out of the 276 kidnapped Chibok girls, 57 escaped 7 were found and 103 released through sustained pressure by the BRING BACK OUR GIRLS GROUP (of both Muslim and Christian Faith), and efforts of the Federal Government Security architecture under Major General President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch but 109 are still missing!

THE ADVENT OF NEGOTIATORS!

Prominent among the emerging terrorists negotiators is an Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, believed to be a former Nigerian Army Captain, who has brokered peace between the Terrorists, Federal and State governments of Bornu Kaduna, Zamfara etc, for the release of kidnapped victims “without payment of ransoms”?

Although a controversial figure, Sheikh Gumi had on several occasions criticized the President and his government for lackadaisical attitude in respect of intractable insecurity in the nation through terrorism, banditry kidnapping etc.

Others include MACBAN and Miyetti Allah, which played prominent roles in the release of 350 boys out of about 800 boarding house residents of the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State on Friday 11th December 2020.
It was a day President Buhari decided to visit his state on an official duty but was embarrassed with the kidnapping which took place shortly before his arrival. The release was done within six days and the State Governor disclosed that no ransom was paid.

CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA CAN NO LONGER STAND ALOOF

One hundred and ten (110), students of the Government Girls Science and Technical College, Yobe, (GGSTC), abducted on 19 February 2018 were rescued without payment of ransom except for LEAH SHARIBU a Christian who refused to renounce her faith within a few days of their abduction and has remained in the custody of Boko Haram terrorist for FOUR YEARS!
Another Christian girl who was among the victims of the Kaduna Abuja train attack in March 2022, 21-year-old Azurfa Lois John, is under threat of marriage by one of the commanders of the terrorists and except Federal Government acts quickly to effect her release, she may also go the way of Leah sharibu, who is believed to have been forcefully married to one of the Terrorists and now has two children!

FOUR CATHOLIC REVEREND SISTERS KIDNAPPED IN IMO STATE ON 21ST AUGUST 2022 HAVE BEEN RELEASED

The four Catholic Church Reverend Sisters who were kidnapped on their way to a Thanksgiving mass of one of their colleagues have been unconditionally and safely released four days after their abduction.

The Secretary General of the SISTERS OF JESUS THE SAVIOUR requested all religious faithfuls in the country to pray for the quick and safe return of the victims and in response to this call Nigerian Christians fasted and prayed for the quick release of the innocent children of God who are engaged in the work of the VINEYARD.

WHAT ROLE IS CAN PLAYING IN THE RELEASE OF LEAH SHARIBU, AZURFA LOUIS JOHN AND SEVERAL OTHER CHRISTIAN MEN/WOMEN IN THE CAMPS OF TERRORISTS, BANDITS, AND GUNMEN?

It is general knowledge that Terrorists are the most unpredictable inhumans; they are unstable mentally, physically and were virtually on drugs 24 hours of every day; they are most unpredictable in words, action and deeds!
Payment of ransoms do not guarantee the sanctity of the lives of their victims. In all of these, is the Christian Association of Nigeria group afraid of the faces of these bandits and Terrorists? They should join the group of NEGOTIATORS and move into the Forests and into the Camps and negotiate with them through the Word of God and even convert some them with humility and with love!

THE ISLAMIC FAITH BELIEFS THAT BOTH MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIANS ARE THE OFFSPRINGS OF THE GREAT PATRIARCH ABRAHAM AND AS SUCH SHOULD LIVE IN UNITY AND HARMONY!

POLICY SOMERSAULT OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

In April 2021 a Nigerian diplomat said if government embraced dialogue with Boko Haram, the endless bleeding of Nigeria's economy would seize and the country would save NGN1.2 trillion Naira annually in a conflict-free environment.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on the sudden death of President Idris Debbie of Chad Republic who confronted and defeated Boko Haram Terrorists in the Lake Chad Region, the diplomat said that the President’s death had created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill!

He also said that the situation in the North East would be further aggravated for all state and non-state actors and Nigeria should therefore negotiate peace agreement that will stamp out further bloodshed in the Chad Region.

He promised to pursue and carry out a policy to end the war through negotiation if he were President because there was no viable alternative to negotiation.
In June 2021, the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno said the Nigerian Government would not succumb to negotiations as a means to deal with the worsening security conditions in the country.
He said negotiating would portend weakness and posited that Nigeria would rather mobilize all military power to crush violence in the country and further said that the President had already ask the armed groups to lay down their arms within two months – June-August 2021!

According to United Nations Refugee Agency, about 26 million people in the Lake Chad Region were affected by violence committed by Boko Haram while 2.6 million others were displaced. More than 30,000 people had been killed and nearly 3 million displaced in a decade of Boko Haram terrorist activities in Nigeria according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

There is no need for the Federal Government to continue its deceit that the Nigerian Armed Forces have technically and tactically defeated Boko Haram!
The truth is in the open; they should negotiate so that NIGERIANS will have peace in the long run!

Politics / Ngn2.66 Billion Naira Broadcast License Fees Cannot Bail Out Buharis Government by z07ion: 5:16pm On Aug 25, 2022
NGN2.66 BILLION NAIRA BROADCAST LICENSE FEES CANNOT BAIL OUT BUHARI'S BROKE GOVERNMENT.

A gloomy picture of the worst kind of economic woes has suddenly evolved to confirm that the present APC government of Major General Muhammadu Buhari was broke, completely BROKE due to PRODIGALITY, INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION and WASTAGES in administrative processes – most-especially at the Executive and Legislative Arms!

The existing economic imbroglio has revealed that the 2022 Deficit Budget spending between January and April shot up with NGN3.09 trillion naira which source was shrouded in secrecy and whereas FG generated revenue was a paltry NGN1.63 trillion naira!
During the same period, external borrowings headed towards USD$40 billion dollars, according to official sources. Daily subsidy on PMS according to Finance Minister is NGN 1.8 billion; Debt-servicing took a big chunk of NGN1.94trillion naira, leaving virtually nothing to Capital Expenditure which got NGN773.63 billion in the four months of January to April!
In 2021, a total sum of N4.22 trillion naira was spent on debt servicing alone!
Total figure for 2022 Budget is NGN17.13trillion!

In the year 2020 the Executive President ordered the Finance Minister to RAID ALL DORMANT BANK ACCOUNTS (of both the Living and the Dead), and “BORROW” such monies found for utilization on CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURES - with a promise to refund such funds within a very short period!
In spite of global windfall for excess forex earnings created through the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, the Nigerian government of President Buhari has blame massive OIL THEFT AND PIPELINE VANDALIZATION for its diminishing fortunes!
Buhari’s Federal Government has claimed that they could not meet with OPEC'S international quota of 2.2 million barrels per day of crude oil export and barely pumped between 1.4-1.5 mbpd- which proceed is ploughed into feeding external debts!

IN DESPERATE BID FOR MORE FUNDS, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REVOKES LICENSES OF RADIO AND TV STATIONS ACROSS NIGERIA!

The mass communication and media agency of the Federal Government national broadcasting commission NBC revoked the broadcast licenses of 52 broadcast stations for failure to renew their licenses amounting to NGN2 .66 billion naira between 2015 and 2022.
According to the Agency's portal, those broadcast institutions contravened the National Broadcasting Commission Act Cap N 11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 particularly Section 10 (a) of the Third Schedule of the Act.

According to the Military- bequeathed 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Press or Mass Media was still guaranteed some measure of FREEDOM and RESPONSIBILITIES to act as the “Watch Dog” over government activities with a view of holding them accountable to the people to whom SOVEREIGNTY belongs!
While Section 22 of the constitution States the Press radio television and other agencies of mass media shall at all times be free to uphold the fundamental objectives contained in this chapter and uphold responsibility and accountability of the government to the people while Section 39 (1) of the same Constitution also states that every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression including the freedom to hold opinions and to receive an impact ideas and information without interference.

KILLING A GNAT WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER!

The Nigerian press and media operators have come a long way long before the Independence of the Nation of Nigeria to educate the citizens.
Herbert Macaulay and Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe were notable Nigerian journalist of pre-independence era who played pivotal roles to secure freedom from the British Colonial masters.

Majority of the media establishments which have been closed down by the BROKE BUHARI GOVERNMENT have been paying LICENSE FEES in over 20 years while performing vital duties in information dissemination - when incumbent government institutions derelicted!

For instance the NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY (NOA), IS THE LAME DUCK of the APC Administration under the Watch of the old Army General. All money pumped into that agency in the last seven years had gone down the drain!

BUT for the Nigerian Press citizens would have been kept in perpetual darkness in respect of government institutional corruption and other pseudo activities!
The Press collects, and shares information regularly on all its portals and virtually transmits free to the masses, a responsibility which Government should deliver.
NBC action was rash, premature, infantile, irrational and purposeless! It is not in conformity with present day realities of the 21st Century in ICT dissemination of information through internet!
OUR VERDICT! All charges against broadcast and radio stations must be dropped and all phantom debts cancelled!
Both parties should negotiate and fix appropriate minimal fees that will not affect operational costs of the patriotic agencies!

Please join this campaign to establish a Populist Government of National Unity through the Parliamentary System that MUST take off from 29th May 2023 and embrace all citizens from the grassroots Representatives and Parliamentarians who at the Central level would pick a PRIME MINISTER from among themselves!
Also share on all internet platforms and save Nigeria from further bloodshed and, other national disasters!

Politics / Is Nigeria's Failed Status A Global Phenomenon? No! by z07ion: 5:03pm On Aug 25, 2022
Every failure of government in Nigeria is alluded to global phenomenon. During ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s tenure when terrorism was at the highest peak and criminality was the order of the day, he said, “Nigeria was having its fair share of global terrorism!”

Eventually Major General Muhammadu Buhari took over in 2015 and also failed to deliver on his promises to terminate terrorism though he was a reputable retired General, neither was he able to frontally crush corruption and improve the economy, his apologetics say FAILURE is a global phenomenon!

He was at loss in spite of his array of economic teams and advisers! Now seven years in office his handlers who have woefully failed in the discharge of their official duties are still unashamedly positing that Nigeria's economic woes would fizzle with continuous borrowings for phantom critical infrastructures whereas such monies were diverted to pay Civil Servants, the Executive, Legislative and Judicial officers salaries!

Heightened insecurity culminating in massive terrorist/banditry attacks on innocent citizens all over the 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), including threats to kidnap even the President from his Aso Rock State House are all ascribed to global phenomenon! What a country, what impotent leadership? Major General Muhammadu Buhari was one person many thought was the expected MESSIAH because of his antecedent as a retired military General who was unable to fulfill his mission to change the economic narrative as Head of the Nigerian State as far back as 1984- 1985 and was desperate to come back as a democratic president to fulfill those lofty and patriotic ideas.

It is no longer news that he desperately contested for the elective position of the president of Nigeria in the years 2003, 2007 and 2011 but failed.

PROVIDENTIALLY destined to be a democratic President, he did not give up and when he made another move in 2015 which was the FOURTH attempt he scaled the hurdle through divine intervention!
To God be the glory that the Prophet of God in Zion and his Prayer Warriors were commanded by God to pray for his success and to prophesy that he would win and fulfil two terms in office.

What is the state of Nigeria's security since Buhari's emergence?

ITS been the worst in the whole wide world of 202 countries and yet his handlers would keep saying it is a global phenomenon!
The month of August 2022 makes it 13 years of BOKO HARAM TERRORISM in Nigeria. Major General Muhammadu Buhari travelled to Maiduguri, State Capital of Borno state North East Nigeria on a day’s official visit to commission some ongoing projects of rehabilitation, reconstruction, re-integration and the revamping of the economy of the State in order to ease the constant tension among the citizens and to improve social infrastructures.

In seven years of his administration the President visited Maiduguri on flying visit of few hours but had never passed a night in that state. Outside of Boko Haram there had been other heinous activities of all forms of gangsterism which posed serious danger to the society on daily basis through kidnapping banditries, regular attacks on all commercial vehicles, the illegal occupation of several Local Government Areas in the North East and collection of illegal taxes from farmers before they could farm their lands!

In seven years of BUHARI’S Administration Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), has been grossly depleted and the economy shattered!
The worst scenario of all was the international indexing that Buhari and his Administration had recorded the most corrupt activities through government officials, civil servants, special advisers including all miscreants in the corridors of power and that the retired General who claimed to be an astute and incorruptible politician sat helplessly unable to change the ugly trend!

As a result Nigeria has become the worst indebted nation in the world. Our debt portfolio has run into trillions of naira as of this third quarter of 2022 and yet the old General still wants to continue to borrow to pay salaries without any meaningful infrastructures to show for seven years in office!

Outside of the second Niger Bridge and the Dangote Cement and Fertilizer conglomerate which is a private investment initiative nothing can be pointed out under Mr Buhari’s Watch that favoured Nigerians.

Nigeria's external debt as at March 2022, was USD$39.69 dollars! The Petroleum Sector which is the mainstay of the nation's economy has been cornered by Buhari’s cabal who possess all the OIL BLOCKS and are the PETRODOLLAR BILLIONAIRES!

And in spite of the four refineries credited to the country for over 22 years, Nigerian leaders and all consecutive governments had always exported crude oil to be refined abroad in exchange for the refined products which they now claim to SUBSIDIZE!

This issue of subsidy by government has become a terrible corruption which even the Minister of Petroleum Resources, President Buhari himself had failed to address righteously!
We are being told now by the Minister of Finance that over NGN 6trillion naira would be paid as SUBSIDY on petroleum products in the Budget for the year 2022!

This is a most scandalous robbery on the economy because it has been established that subsidy is a monumental fraud which has been perfected by the cabal that are running the Kitchen Cabinet of President Buhari since 2015 to date.

It is on record that of the several hundreds of pseudo contractors importing refined products petroleum products from overseas only two or three culprits have been successfully arrested prosecuted and sent to jail.

All the others are walking rich and free and flaunting their illegal wealth in the society without inhibition and without restraint because they are untouchables.

All of these shameful discrepancies in government can only happen in the kind of military Presidency in Nigeria.
When CHINA – the most populous nation in the World faced economic challenges in the 60s/80s, its leaders decided to shut up the nation and looked inward without importing from other countries but harnessed their God-given resources to eliminate poverty through land cultivation, intensive agricultural engineering, manufacturing, productions etc.

All gainfully able-bodied male and female citizens were fully employed in all possible trades, vocations, local manufacturing, cottage industries, small and medium scale businesses and the country leaders ensured there were no importation of any sort from other countries while the citizens ate what they produced for scores of years until they broke even!

China as of the 21st Century is the second largest economy outside of the United States of America and they are still growing and determined to ensure that poverty is completely eradicated.

The country's population is about 1.5 billion, followed by India at 1.2 billion but Nigeria with just over 200 million people is internationally dubbed as the POVERTY CAPITAL of the world the MOST CORRUPT nation the MOST DANGEROUS country to invest and the DIRTIEST and the MOST UNHYGIENIC COUNTRY of the world!
JAPAN is another country which even after the terrible devastation of the atomic bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki decided to rebuild their nation by shutting themselves in to rebuild, reconstruct and reinvent.

TODAY Japan can be economically rated as the third highly industrial economy in the world having picked up from the rubbles and ashes of war through a determined and very patriotic leadership!
SRI LANKA cannot be omitted from this narrative. A country with 22 million population but lacking in economic astuteness just like Nigeria. A free market economy of Sri Lanka was worth $ 84 billion dollars by nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP), in 2019 and $296.959 billion by purchasing power parity but today the country is in economic and political crisis just like Nigeria recently defaulting on its debt p payments and sparking mass protests across the country.
The country’s foreign currency reserves have plummeted, an outstanding 99%, from 2019, decreasing the ability to purchase imports and driving up domestic prices for goods in the third quarter of the year 2022.

in July 2022 SRI Lanka’s President had to abandon his official residence when thousands of protesters stormed the palace and demanded for his resignation and was quickly transported to the army headquarters hours before the eviction!

The citizens have been complaining about poverty, cost of living, joblessness, payment of rent, lack of money to buy food and medicine and most importantly petroleum products just as in Nigeria.

Now, can those BUHARI apologetics now generalize Sri Lanka’s and Nigeria’s MALADMINISTRATION through deliberate indebtedness, institutional corruption, ineptitude which are their outstanding failures as GLOBAL PHENOMENON?
It is better they shut up and keep quiet forever because sooner than later there's going to be divine judgement upon this evil generation of leaders in Nigeria. The time to rise and shine is now! Nigeria needs a patriotic Prime Minister that should emerge through a BRAND NEW UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that must be passed by this 9th NATIONAL ASSEMBLY so that from 2023 onwards the country will regain its economic status and become a buoyant nation again.

The current group of Nigeria’s evil leaders will be expunged through divine power and we shall see them no more! It is time for REPENTANCE! Perhaps if they repent and lead RIGHTEOUSLY, God will forgive them and save their souls!
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but SIN is a reproach to all people.” (Proverbs. 14:34).

Politics / By Hook And Crook The New Nnpcl Seems To Be The Legacy Buhari Will Leave Behind! by z07ion: 6:11pm On Aug 18, 2022
Less than five months of signing the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) into an Act, President Major General Muhammadu Buhari on 5th January 2022, appointed the Board and Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited in accordance with the power vested in him under Section 59 (2) of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021, without following due process because such exercise could only be legal and effective after 12 months from 16th August 2021, when he appended his assent to the Bill.

BUT THE PRESIDENT HAS PUT THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE. In September 2021, the retired military General directed the incorporation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), into a Limited Liability Company in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Constitution and Section 53 (5) of the PIA 2021 in consultation with the Minister of Finance Budget and Planning to ensure that the nominal shares of the company held by government were not transferable nor mortgaged unless approved by the government and the National Economic Council (NEC), within six months of the commencement of the Act.

And whereas the PIA Seven-man Implementation Committee that should work for 12 months before the incorporation had not even sat for one day!

ACCORDING to the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), 2021, it should take the Implementation Committee 12 months from the day of Presidential assent to prepare the ground for the incorporation of a new Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and within another period of 6 months (totaling 18 months), for the new outfit to hit the ground running according to the new Act!

From Our own calculation 16th August 2021 to 9th August 2022, (when he inaugurated the new Board), is hardly one calendar year! Government sources have confirmed that the new NNPC was incorporated into a limited liability company in September 2021 by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), just one month after Presidential assent contrary to the letters of the PIA!
Section 59 (2) of the PIA is emphatic that the President would approve the appointment of Board members with effect from the date of incorporation of the company ie,12 months from 16th August 2021 when he appended his assent to the Bill.

And whereas the President returned the Act to the Senate in September 2021 for some amendments!

THE FOLLOWING ARE FOUR URGENT REQUESTS FOR AMENDMENTS MADE BY PRESIDENT BUHARI IN A LETTER FORWARDED TO THE SENATE ON 16TH SEPTEMBER 2021, IN HIS CAPACITY AS THE SUBSTANTIVE MINISTER FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES.

On the 16th September, 2021, one month after his assent to the PIA, President Buhari returned the document which has suffered implementation delays under THREE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Administrations to the Senate “FOR FOUR URGENT AMENDMENTS”

The need to appoint FOUR more non-executive members to increase the Board's composition from 9 to 13 as provided for by the Act to reflect balanced geo-political representation and also the need that Sections 11(2)(b) and 34(2)(b), which provide for Administrative Structure of the PIA 2021 be amended.
Deletion of Sections (11)(f), 11(2)(g), 34(2)(f) and 34(2)(g) from the PIA.

Removal of Ministries of Petroleum and Finance from the Board of the Nigerian Petroleum Regulatory Authority and Upstream Regulatory Commission which already have constitutional responsibilities of either supervision or inter-governmental relations without being in the Board.

He also sought for amendments to Sections (11) (3) and (41)(2), for diverse reasons.

All of the above requests clearly portrayed ineptitude of the Buhari administration which is fully aware that the NNPC had been the most corrupt institution in the annals of the history of this nation because of its cash-cow status.

Crude oil has accounted for over 70% of government's budgetary revenues, has provided 95% of foreign exchange earnings, has played pivotal role in the country's oil and gas exports, garnered about 83% of the Federal Government revenue and also generated more than 14% of Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), over the years from 1999-2015.

However the transition of this most-disreputable institution to a limited liability company has nose-dived because of arbitrary and illegal inauguration of Board members without following due process. The Chief Executive displayed his usual artistry as master of institutional impunity because the Senate Joint Committee on Petroleum Industry’s PUBLIC HEARING did not sit to consider the loopholes mentioned in the President’s letter before the investiture of Board members on 5th January, 2022, and members of HOST COMMUNITIES have petitioned the Senate to do the needful by effecting necessary modifications in the PIA!

WHAT WILL THE “NEW NNPCL” DO DIFFERENTLY FOLLOWING INHERITANCE OF A MAL-ADMINISTERED ECONOMIC STRUCTURE SADDLED WITH 23 SUBSIDIARIES?

***We are told that the new company will neither collect subsidy nor determine petroleum pump price any longer!
We have never change our position that the whole gamut of Petroleum Subsidy was nothing short of a monumental fraud against the Nigerian masses and

We still maintain our stand for the following salient reasons:
-An oil producing country like Nigeria with FOUR acclaimed REFINERIES has no business in importing finished products like, petrol (PMS), kerosene, diesel etc, if righteous leaders were in government!

-But it has been discovered that the said refineries were just dummies and were used as conduit pipes to siphon foreign exchange by the CABAL in every administration since 1999 to date.

-President Buhari who had been in the OIL AND GAS SECTOR since his military days admitted when he visited the United States in July 2015 that SUBSIDY WAS A MONUMENTAL FRAUD!

This was after he became the Head of the Nigerian Government in his first term in office. He specifically accused former Nigerian ministers of selling about 1 million barrels of crude oil per day and of diverting the gains to personal accounts. He also said in the United States that 250,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude oil were regularly stolen and “people sell and put the money into individual pockets” adding that the United States and other developed countries were assisting Nigeria to trace such accounts. He also said he would ask that such accounts be frozen and would prosecute the persons involved!

The Buhari Administration has not successfully prosecuted crude oil robbers till date! He also said that as Minister of petroleum he knew that NNPC had only two traceable accounts of payment to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), but that everybody behaved anyhow in respect of the funds which accrued to the oil sector. He expressed doubt if ever fuel subsidy was ever removed and if transport housing and food prices would not go out of control and the average worker suffer untold hardship! He asked a rhetoric question: “Who is subsidizing who? They say; remove subsidy, do they want petrol to cost 500 Naira per litre? If you are working and subsidy is removed you can’t control transport and market women, the cost of food and the cost of transport.”

BUT UNDER BUHARI'S WATCH TODAY THE CORRUPTION WHICH HE PROMISED TO ERADICATE HAS GONE HAYWIRE THAT BETWEEN JANUARY 2021 AND FEBRUARY 2022 A TOTAL OF 91% OF CRUDE OIL WAS STOLEN FROM NIGERIA, ACCORDING TO NEW MEDIA REPORTS.

IN THE FIRST QUARTER - JANUARY TO MARCH 2022 STATISTICS PRESENTED AT A MEETING IN ABUJA BETWEEN THE NIGERIAN UPSTREAM PETROLEUM REGULATORY COMMISSION (NUPRC), OIL PRODUCERS TRADE SECTION AND THE INDEPENDENT PETROLEUM PRODUCERS GROUP (IPPG), REVEALED THAT UNITED STATES DOLLARS $3.2 BILLION, THE EQUIVALENT OF NIGERIAN NAIRA NGN 1.36 TRILLION WORTH OF CRUDE OIL WAS STOLEN FROM NIGERIA BETWEEN JANUARY 2021 AND FEBRUARY 2022!

However this new NNPCL will be totally independent and insulated of government interferences and will no longer remit into the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), any of its oil accruals which invariably means that there will be no more cap-in-hand begging from the Federal Government by State Governors any longer!

This new NNPCL will also inherit FOUR moribund refineries which Nigerians
were always deceived to be under refurbishing from the military and to the civilian government in about 40 years!

From henceforth they will consume their LIES like the Minister of State for Petroleum Timipre Sylva who told Nigerians that a whopping United States USD$ 1.5 billion was being spent to refurbish Warri Refinery!

From now on, all LIES of the state actors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be exposed and Nigerians will know whether Buhari actually had good intentions or hidden agenda for the TALAKAWAS or not!
IF NNPCL IS BUHARI’S LEGACY, IT IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL!

“You can deceive some people for some time but you cannot deceive all the people all the time”! This is Word of Wisdom for Muhammadu Buhari and his cohorts to ponder about within the remaining SIX MONTHS they have left to quit ASO ROCK for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY GOVERNMENT HEADED BY A PRIME MINISTER TAKE OVER!

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]

Politics / The Ekweremadus Needed Not Have Flown Far Away! by z07ion: 9:03pm On Aug 11, 2022
Whatever prompted the Ekweremadus to fly to far-away London UK, for their daughter’s kidney trans-plant operation which services and expertise are available in modern Nigerian hospitals commissioned specially for the sole purpose of reversing medical tourism and saving the nation’s scarce foreign exchange reserves!

Nigeria recorded the first-ever successful paediatric kidney transplant on two patients at the St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos in August 2009, some thirteen (13) years ago! There are not less than five specialist hospitals in the commercial city of Nigeria that cater for renal complications.

Two successful kidney transplants were recorded in January 2014, at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital [DELSUTH], Oghara, while doctors at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital [LASUTH], in November 2015, also celebrated first successful kidney transplant ever carried out in a tertiary hospital on a 56-year- old male patient. The second successful transplant by the same hospital was carried out in August of 2016, on a 38-year-old male patient.

Also in October 2021, Afe Babalola University Multi-System Hospital Ado-Ekiti, [ABUAD], South-West Nigeria, recorded its first Kidney transplant after a procedure which lasted five hours and fifteen minutes on an hypertensive and prostate-afflicted 46-year-old.

Home-grown, world-class, professional and specialist doctors equipped with modern healthcare facilities for kidney transplant, occupy pride of place in medical and kidney specialized centres that deliver first-class quality and excellent health care services in renal medicine and other specialities like urology, cardiology, paediatrics, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynaecological surgery etc, with state-of-the-art technological advanced equipments and procedures abound in all of Nigeria’s Six Geo-Political Zones! Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the learned lawmaker decided to abandon all of the above available Nigerian facilities and opted for the UK for reasons he might explain some day!

LONDON METROPOLITAN POLICE ARREST IKE EKWEREMADU AND WIFE ON THURSDAY 30TH JUNE 2022, AND CHARGED WITH ALLEGED TRAFFICKING OF A YOUNG NIGERIAN TO HARVEST HIS KIDNEY!

Ike Ekweremadu is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District, a lawyer and a former Deputy Senate President for three consecutive [6th, 7th and 8th ], Senate.
On the 23rd June 2022, he was charged along with his wife, Beatrice, in the UK Magistrate’s Court with conspiring to arrange the travel of a 21-year-old into the UK in order to harvest organs.

Ike, very exposed and civilised was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987 and had participated in politics until he won the prestigious title of best Local Government Chairman on the platform of the United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) in 1997 and had since remained in politics till he was elected into the Senate in 2003.
It was said that the legislator’s daughter needed a kidney transplant which necessitated the London trip. But it turned out at the hospital that the contracted young man’s organ was incompatible with the young woman’s and he was promptly requested to return to Nigeria.
The young man instead ran to the London Metropolitan Police and lied that he was a minor who was trafficked for organ harvesting by the couple and a Nigerian medical doctor practising in the UK who were promptly arrested and charged with violation of the Modern Slavery, 2015.

Ike Ekweremadu and the doctor will remain in custody until 31st October, 2022 when trial will continue but his wife was granted bail on stringent conditions.
THE UK IS A PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY WHERE ALL CITIZENS FROM PRIME MINISTER, PARLIAMENTARIANS AND SETTLERS ARE TREATED EQUALLY ACCORDING TO THE LAW!

From the moment of arrest Mr, Ekweremadu and wife were treated as suspects in spite of their travel documents which included a Diplomatic Passport but judicial process was meticulously followed to ensure that the trial was conducted in the UK and not transferred to Nigeria without consideration to any form of immunity!

Apart from being a Nigerian lawmaker, Ekweremadu is also a seasoned and professional lawyer who is vast in the Law of Contract which has not been mentioned so far since the trial began!
*Was there a legal contract between the chosen donor and the Ekweremadus or between any member of his family in respect of the transplant?
*Were there agreements that spelt out all areas of the contract beginning with the journey to London i.e. responsibility for travel tickets, accommodation, feeding, monetary allowances for duration of stay in the city.
*What form of medical tourism was envisaged and what financial package did the Ekweremadus propose for the kidney to be harvested and how was such money to be paid had the medical operation succeeded or failed?
*Was any member of the organ donor family involved at any time in Nigeria before his departure to London? Was there any contractual agreement between the two parties?

COMPARATIVE COST OF KIDNEY TRANSPLANT IN NIGERIA, INDIA AND THE UNITED KINGDOM [UK].

Kidney transplant in Nigeria costs between NGN4.7 –NGN7million naira; In India – between Rs.5 to Rs.6 Lakh in private hospitals (at $1,500 dollars per Lakh -$7,500 -$9,000 US dollars). What about Britain? According to a Health Publication of Thursday, 4th December, 2003, credited to Esther Addley, “One kidney costs $100,000. The donor gets $2,000” – through illegal website advertisements for sales of human body parts!

The publication also stated that although it was illegal in Britain to buy, sell, advertise, or seek to procure any of the human organs or tissue that can usefully be sliced off one person and sewn onto another – hearts, lungs, kidneys, livers, pancreas, small bowel, corneas, bone marrow, skin, heart valves, or tendons, the racketeering was a booming trade because: “THE WEALTHY UNWELL WERE PROVING THEMSELVES UNWILLING TO HANG ABOUT – ON THE QUEUE BUT RATHER IGNORE THE LAW FOR A VITAL ORGAN”!
Statistics of successful Kidney Transplant in Nigeria: The Nigerian Nephrology Association [NNA], on the occasion of the March 2020 World Kidney Day Celebration, disclosed that 700 Kidney transplants had been successfully performed in the country!
Kidney failures are usually caused through “high blood pressure and diabetes” which are the most common. Other causes include physical injury, diseases or other health disorders.
IN TURKEY, PATIENTS ARE FITTED WITH HARVESTED MOLDOVAN, ROMANIAN OR ESTONIAN KIDNEY!

Was it true that the Ekweremadus were arrested at the Heathrow Airport on their journey to Turkey to negotiate for new donor?
How true is it that the “wealthy unwell will always be impatient to queue, but will damn any consequence and ignore the law for a vital organ”! The 31st October, 2022, adjourned date is a few months away for the unfolding drama to be concluded!
“Let God be true, but every man be a liar, as it is written, That thou mightiest be justified in Thy sayings and mightiest overcome when thou art judged!. [Romans. 3:4.].

[WATCH OUT FOR A NIGERIAN PRIME MINISTER – NOT A PRESIDENT IN 2023!]
