That Nigeria has remained an indivisible nascent democracy in eight years of deliberate and well-calculated military assault on the good and resilient people of
the geographic contraption in diversity by a very desperate but tired old soldier can only be attributed to divine providence!

The atrocities of crimes/criminalities of eight years filled with uncertainties and trepidations in respect of the horrible insecurity regime which was unleashed on the country from 2015-2023 can be best described as a combination of the WORLD WAR I and II combined except that the HIROSHIMA ATOMIC BOMB WAS NOT DETONATED!

Conservative estimate of human casualties without exaggeration CANNOT BE LESS THAN A MILLION PEOPLE during Major General Buhari's inglorious eight-year tenure dominated by various acts of brigandage by Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram Terrorists, Bandits, Gunmen, IPOB & ESN TERRORISTS etc, due to incapacitation of the Commander-in-Chief's security forces which were overstretched and overwhelmed by the sheer audacity and superior fire power of the criminals!

Nigerians expected that a desperate Muhammadu Buhari, who attempted to be a democratic President of Nigeria on three occasions from 2003-2011 until he succeeded on the 4th occasion in 2015, would be very dedicated to serve the nation with all his track record experiences in governance as far back as when he was military Commissioner of Petroleum Resources as far back as1976!

But from all indications the old soldier never loved his country as he pretended to be. He is nepotistic, tribalistic, high-handed, domineering, clannish, a religious bigot, feudalistic, impunistic etc, ensured that he surrounded himself with people from his tribal enclave - especially the FULANI CLAN!

When retired General Olusegun Obasanjo alleged that Buhari had an agenda to FULANIZE and ISLAMIZE Nigeria We disagreed with him and told the world that Buhari was a TRUE DEMOCRAT - We have been proved wrong!

TESTIMONY OF 'AHMED 'BOLA TINUBU IN RESPECT OF BUHARI'S THREE LOST ELECTIONS!

"Buhari wept bitterly on national television after the third loss and swore not to contest again but I encouraged him to try the FOURTH time."
It is important to highlight the fact that the three occasions when Buhari lost elections, colossal and collateral damages which led to heavy human casualties in their hundreds, malicious destruction of government strategic installations disrupted economic activities especially in the Northern parts of Nigeria where he is idolized as a hero because of his DELIBERATE INCITEFUL SPEECHES!

Buhari always claimed that he was RIGGED OUT and instructed his supporters to patiently wait to witness the counting, collation and announcement of results.
In his words; "Because you haven't done this in all past cases you allowed them to turn your victories into defeats!"

Buhari lost the election for the third time in 2011 and within three days, violence which erupted in the Northern part of the country recorded about 700 deaths and thousands of innocent people displaced in the Northeast, Northwest and North Central parts of the country!

Following Tinubu's encouragement to try his luck once again, Buhari who has no respect for the SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIVES THREATENED THAT IF THE 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION WAS NOT TRANSPARENT THAT "THE DOG AND THE BABOON WILL ALL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD!"

Everyone knows that government is a continuum and whoever aspires to occupy political offices must be genuine patriot spiritually, mentally, academically, and physically prepared for such positions of authority and pursue existing socio-economic policies of previous administrations with patriotism.

To serve and not to steal, to gather and not to scatter, to preserve and not to embezzle, to enrich and not to impoverish his constituency which is the entire nation of Nigeria, to lift and not to cast down the citizens ambitions and aspirations, to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses and not to enrich a few through inordinate ambitions through acts of NEPOTISM; and to remember at all times that they would be accountable and be judged by the Almighty God our Creator and posterity!

PRESIDENT BUHARI IS AN ADDICTED SOLDIER!

Soldiering had been Buhari's addiction from youth and when he successfully became military Head of State at 42 years he pretended to be possessed with the zeal of patriotism for rescuing the downtrodden during his short-lived 23- month tenure!

The aborted appointment vexed him sore and he purported in his heart to return some day to fulfill his inordinate ambition as a civilian President and on assumption of office in 2015 declared that he "would be for nobody, but for everybody"!

From that onset at 72 years, he left no one in doubt that he had hidden agendas because he carelessly allowed the opposition to perpetrate his administration due to nonchalant attitude to his constitutional responsibility in Chapter II Sections 13,14, (1-4) which emphasized that the security and welfare of the citizens are the primary objective of government.

BUHARI NOW SAYS, "I AM SORRY"! TO WHO?

There is virtually no family in the last eight years of Buhari's presidency that did not lose a family member to the cold hands of untimely and avoidable deaths!
Outside of the official condolences, has the soldierman ever bore the pains of the thousand of thousands of parents who still agonize over their children who have been mercilessly killed/kidnapped without respite from the custodians of their security and welfare?
NO NO NO! The following are the LACK - LUSTER CROCODILE TEARS OF THE lamenting 80-year-old General who knew from the onset that he was not up to the task:

"Those who that think that I have hurt them so much, please pardon me". The apology was made during his last Sallah Homage Reception at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, 21st April, ,2023.

“So please whoever says I have done wrong to them, we are all humans. There is no doubt I hurt some people and I wish you will pardon me; and those who think that I have hurt them so much please pardon me."
But majority of Nigerians would have none of his antics especially when he claimed that the 2023 General Election was transparent, free, fair and credible and also claimed the outcome as his LEGACY!

THIS IS THE SECOND APOLOGY OF BUHARI TO NIGERIANS IN EIGHT YEARS!

During the Easter period in the year 2016 President Buhari apologized to Nigerians for dissolving University Governing Councils along with the Boards of Parastatals Agencies with the following words:
"We gave a blanket order which we had to rescind when we said all Boards were suspended or dissolved.
"We had to go back and lick our vomit.....
"So there is nothing wrong in saying sorry so we said sorry..... And allowed all these universities to continue with their councils
"So please try to bear with us as we reflect on where we found ourselves."

On the much-criticized issue of globe-trotting, President Buhari explained as follows: "Sometime you need to present your case on personal basis to your economic colleagues and neighbours because nothing is better than personal touch and I believe we are learning a lot and eventually the nation will realise the dividends of those strategic trips"

Nigerians could hardly wait for Buhari to pack bag and baggage and get out of the Villa so that the Citizens could enjoy fresh breath of air - especially if ICC OPERATIVES ARE ON GROUND TO ESCORT HIM TO THE HAGUE, TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIS EIGHT-YEAR STEWARDSHIP!

SECRET ASSENT TO 1999 CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS BY GENERAL BUHARI IS A HOOD WINK!

"Majority of automobile tyres on Nigerian roads are tubeless. Gone are the days of roadside tubes patching. The world has moved on through scientific inventions that have made it possible to drive electric vehicles possibly with electrified tires in this present era of modern civilization.

"The Military-crafted Nigerian 1999 Constitution represents the Tyre Tube with several PATCHES and the Legislators, the roadside VULCANIZERS who were ever ready to patch the controversial and obnoxious document every four-year duty tour because it is full of punctures which are convenient for both the Executive and the Legislature to keep patching since the exercises provided extra billions of naira in illicit transactions to execute!"


PAST PRESIDENTS REJECTED THE PATCHED TYRE TUBES!

Consecutive Presidents from 1999-2023 refused assent; rejected all amendments and described them as self-seeking and inordinate!
But very recently, and in the heat of the furore that greeted outcome of the February-March 2023 version of Nigeria's General Elections, the old soldier Major General President Muhammadu Buhari, stealthily and quietly signed 16 out of 35 Bills forwarded by the 9th National Assembly (NASS), in January 2023, at his Departure Lounge, to hoodwink the gullible and the uneducated but ended up to further damage his battered image!

The signed bills according to newspaper reports devolved more powers to the States in view of incessant agitation for devolution of power from the federal to the federating States to address true fiscal federalism.

According to the requirements of Section 9 of the Military Constitution at least 24 State Assemblies were required to approve the Bills before they could be forwarded to Mr. President for assent.

TYRE-PATCHING IS COSMETIC, WASTEFUL AND ARCHAIC - A BRAND NEW UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION IN THE FORM OF A TUBELESS TYRE, IS THE PANACEA TO POPULAR AND STABLE GOVERNMENT!

And Whereas the major issues in contention and which had generated violent agitations since the 1966 Military coup de tat or rather since the end of the Biafra War had always been THE UNITARY form of government which cowed Federating States to become subjugated to the Central government as in the vertical, unitary military form of government!
And which was further foisted through the 1999 bogus military constitution's Exclusive Legislative List that conferred absolute power and authority to the Federal Government with 68 items to subject the 36 States to permanent and abject poverty; and Whereas the Confederating States "lay the golden eggs"!

On Thursday 25th January 2018, KADUNA STATE GOVERNOR-LED COMMITTEE ON TRUE FEDERALISM submitted its very detailed Report to President Buhari IN THE SPIRIT OF DEVOLUTION OF POWER from the Centre to the States as follows:
1) RESOURCE CONTROL by all States.
2) STATE POLICE and STATE PRISONS to be run by all states of the federation in respect of certain crimes.
3) INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY which should be enjoyed if such candidate was not a member of any political party, SIX MONTHS prior to any election.
4) CONSTITUTIONAL AUTONOMY for the 774 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS to be free to legislate freely and create any number of councils as they so desired.
5) Foods, Drugs and Poison to be moved to the Concurrent List so that States could constitutionally legislate on those items while narcotics, psychotropic substances will remain on the Exclusive List.
6) Labor issues, trade unions, industrial relations, safety/welfare, disputes/ minimum wages/industrial arbitration should be handled by both States/Federal Government who should enjoy independent legislation.
7) Mines and minerals, oil fields and mining, geological surveys and natural gas that are ONSHORE should be vested in all states of the federation while all OFFSHORE shall remain vested in the government of the federation.
Registration of Business Names should be on the Concurrent List for companies to choose their areas of operations; State or nationwide.
9) Collection of Stamp Duties was also recommended to be moved to the Concurrent List for the States to collect duties from individual and small businesses while Federal Government collects duties from limited liability companies.
10) ISSUE OF CITIZENSHIP, LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR STATE OF ORIGIN which had hitherto been discriminatory should be replaced with STATE OF RESIDENCE through a proposed amendment to the FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSION ACT to allow people domicile in a place to be considered as INDIGENES of such place.


It is very obvious that Legislators of NASS took a queue from Governor El-Rufai's Committee's Report to arrive at the deductions which were eventually forwarded the States for CONCURRENCE, but unfortunately the fundamental objectives have been defeated through the CLANDESTINE approval of Bills which would FOREVER be difficult to implement!

A. For instance, how would the Fifth Alteration (No.17) Bill which sought to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 to allow States to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity in areas covered by the national grid; and for related matters be IMPLEMENTED WHEN such States could not source funds even to pay the monthly NGN30,000 naira national minimum wage for their workers; could not establish modern health/facilities or institutions, good roads, qualitative education, decent accommodations etc, for its population?
B. How would Federating States that lack modern scientific and ICT infrastructures to handle naturally-endowed agrarian/pastoral opportunities, generate sufficient INTERNAL REVENUES to supply ELECTRICITY within their territorial boundaries?
C. Can cash-strapped States establish individual CASH-INTENSIVE RAILWAY SYSTEMS.

The Fifth Alterations Nos.1-5 assented to by President Buhari dealt with CHANGE OF NAMES OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS;

No.8 sought to regulate the first session and inauguration of members-elect of the National and State Houses of Assembly; No. 9. sought to delete the reference to the provisions of the criminal code, penal code, criminal procedure act, criminal procedure code, or evidence act while No. 10 sought to exclude period of intervening events in the computation of time for determining pre-election petitions, election petitions and appeals while No.12 sought to provide for the post-call qualification of the Secretary of National Judicial Council;

No.15 sought to delete the item "prisons" in the Exclusive Legislative List and re-designate it as "Correctional Services" in the Concurrent Legislative List while No.16 sought to move the item "railways" from the Exclusive Legislative Session List to the Concurrent Legislative list and for related matters!

Bill No. 23 required the President and Governors to submit the names of persons nominated as Ministers or Commissioners within sixty days of taking the oath of office for confirmation by the Senate or State Houses of Assembly while No. 32 sought to correct the error in the definition of the boundary of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Andy Bill No. 34 required government to direct his policy towards ensuring the right to food and food security in Nigeria and for related matters etc, etc.

GOVERNOR NASRI EL RUFAI'S COMMITTEE'S RECOMMENDATION IS A PROTOTYPE OF NECESSARY INGREDIENTS FOR A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION!

Retired Major General Buhari did not approve the request of the masses of the CITIZENS OF NIGERIA FOR (A) RESOURCE CONTROL, (B) STATE POLICE, (3) INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY, (4) MINES AND MINERALS, OIL FIELDS AND MINING, GEOLOGICAL SURVEYS AND NATURAL GAS THAT ARE ON SHORE TO BE VESTED IN ALL STATES OF THE FEDERATION; because he has never been a REFORMED DEMOCRAT AS CLAIMED IN SEVERAL INTERVIEWS!

Nigeria needs a fresh air of freedom from feudalism, oligarchy, nepotism, tribalism and despotism!
In eight years of martial administration Buhari has no legacy to bequeath to Nigerians!
As soon as 'Bola Tinubu comes on board, it behoves on him to put into motion the establishment of a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THROUGH REFERENDUM WITHIN SIX MONTHS ACCORDING TO DIVINE APPOINTMENT!

HON. ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN IS A CONFESSED TREASURY LOOTER; HE SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED!

The kind of horse-trading for the position of principal officers among the in-coming legislators of the 10th National Assembly has taken dimension of a frenzy Stock Exchange session which turned out to be very “Bullish”!

In spite of the commotion and national confusion that resulted from the TWO INEC-badly-managed Elections across the country, over 300 successful House of Representatives Legislators are poised to slug out the in-house highly-prized positions with one another in a battle of survival of the fittest!

All manner of permutations by a genre of political analysts in respect of likely candidates for vacant positions outside of the Muslim-Muslim “Winners” at the presidency level have inundated the internet/social media networks, especially when the minority group of parties have claimed to be the greater majority and could call the shots during the up-coming elections in spite of the fact that they are a new breed of the motley crowd of mixed multitudes and strange bedfellows!

At stake are the following principal offices in contention at the National Assembly: Senate President and his deputy; House of Representative Speaker and his Deputy; Majority/Minority Leaders and deputies; Chief Whip and his deputy etc.

The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,1999, Constitution approves 360 Geo-Political Constituency legislators for the House of Representatives, (HOR), and 109 Senators for the Upper Chamber, to jointly make laws for good governance of the nation but recent revelations of financial recklessness in the HOR by a ranking member, have confirmed several years of speculations and allegations of a secret Appropriation Office, which was not subjected to Revenue Mobilisation Allocation And Fiscal Commission's (RMAFC), scrutiny or control! The former Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Maikasuwa, who was jointly charged with Senators Saraki and Ekweremadu, in the celebrated forgery case of the Senate House Rules, was ordered by an Abuja High Court, in March 2015, to make available to a Non-Government Organisation, Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP), NASS SECRETIVE CONSTITUENCY ALLOWANCES earned by Nigerian Lawmakers, but because he appealed the judgement, the matter was yet to be put to rest!

If you end up at the receiving end of the actions I will be taking up in the next few days, I want you to know there is nothing personal but commitment and fervent desire to ensure that corruption is wiped out of the House and reforms that will restore the battered image of the House and take back the House to the Nigerian people is implemented. Consequent upon the above and before I proceed with the aggressive steps I intend to take, I hereby DEMAND that if you have illegally taken or stolen any money meant for the RUNNING COST OF YOUR OFFICES FOR YOUR ENTIRE STAY IN THE HOUSE, YOU SHOULD RETURN THE MONEY WITHIN ONE WEEK TO THE CLERK OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLARITY, I AM REFERRING TO ABOUT 10 MILLION NAIRA YOU COLLECT FROM TAX PAYERS' MONEY MONTHLY. THE CLERK WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH OFFICIAL ACCOUNT DETAILS, FAILURE OF WHICH I WILL TAKE NECESSARY ACTION TO ENSURE THAT YOU RETURN ANY MONEY STOLEN AND STAND WITNESS AGAINST YOU IN CASE OF PROSECUTION.

"I have written to the Clerk of the National Assembly to stand by in anticipation. In the face of the revenue challenges and biting hardship the country is currently facing, there is no better time the country needs such money than now. In the case of the Presiding and Principal Officers, in addition to my demand in this letter which applies to them too, I have written them yesterday and gave them 72 hours ULTIMATUM to make public the total amount they have received as running cost in their entire stay in the House, failure of which I will proceed with necessary legal action to compel them to make the total amount each of them have received public. There are other issues of monumental corruption in the House that I will be raising in the following weeks which we must all deal with, but first let’s get done with this one.

“El-Rufai had challenged NASS to make its budget public because the budget of 469 members was larger than the capital budget of 10 million inhabitants of Kaduna State and also lager than the entire budget of several Nigerian States. He also claimed that over a period of TEN YEARS, from 2008, NASS as an institution has cost the country over a TRILLION NAIRA WITHOUT ANY DETAIL ON HOW THE AMOUNT WAS ALLOCATED AND SPENT!

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY APPROPRIATES TO ITSELF A WHOOPING SUM OF BETWEEN N120 - N150 billion annually which they always claimed was “just 2%” of the total budget.”

VICE PRESIDENT ‘YEMI ALSO QUERIED 2017 BUDGET PADDING BY NASS!

In his acting capacity as President, Professor ‘Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, in 2017, faulted the NASS for tampering with the Budget proposal as presented by the Executive. He said legislators had no right to insert new projects in a budget proposal noting that “there were some grey areas especially funds lifted from key projects, to introduce new projects by NASS!”

CONCLUSION:

Hon. Jibrin and his accomplices who are still walking free MUST be arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and prosecuted!
If 469 Legislators and aides (totaling about 900 persons), collect between NGN120-150 billion naira annually, the over 200million population should be delineated to similar segment and paid equal amounts to cushion their social needs.

With a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT IN PLACE – all unpatriotic politicians will be kept in jail for Nigeria to become a stable democracy and the economic giant of Africa! “A stitch in time saves nine”!

Interim National Government is anathema to civil administration and very offensive to the sensibilities of modern democracy.
It is an aberration and counterproductive to the tenets of the dogma of "government of the people, for the people and by the people"!

The obnoxious terminology popped up during the military occupation of Nigeria when some two army officers tried to outsmart each other in their quest in hierarchy for the topmost position though they both rose through the ranks by masterminding and successfully executing 11 military coup d’état between 1966-1993!

Generals Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and Sani Abacha were two inseparable accomplices who schemed their achievements in the army with such accurate precision and neither of them could outsmart the other.

When babangida became the Head of State he strategically assumed the title of military president to boost his ego in the believe that he would command better respect and greater executive powers to subdue any opposition but he was soon to be proved wrong. At the peak of his military presidency he got so swollen-headed and power-drunk that he reneged, not less than five times on promises of hand-over date to the civil population.

Babangida forgot all about his partner in crime who watched him from a safe distance while the masses dubbed him as "Maradona" (a very popular football dribbler), due to several unfulfilled promises.

Sani abacha was very clever to solicit support from other ambitious military officers who put pressure on the "Maradona" to step aside to avoid any bloodshed and being overwhelmed, reluctantly stepped aside with a view that he could return some day to complete his tenure of office!

But Babangida wasted no time to fill his exit with a civilian captain of industry in the person of Chief Ernest Shonekan whom he decorated with the title of HEAD OF INTERIM NATIONAL GOVERNMENT (ING), just for the sinister purpose of depriving his old time accomplice from sitting on the "throne"!

The ING lasted from 26th of August 1993 to 17th November 1993 a short period of 82 days and Abacha took over in a bloodless coup and but for his untimely death in June 1998, maybe the military would have remained in Nigeria forever?

DSS SHOULD TREAD SOFTLY TO AVOID OVERHEATING THE POLITY!

The Directorate of State Security has alleged that there was a plot to install an INTERIM NATIONAL GOVERNMENT in Nigeria following controversies respect of the outcome of the presidential elections which has favoured the All Progressives Congress ruling government.

The DSS says that it has identified some politicians behind the plot and some key players planning the ING in the country. He described their plans as an aberration that could undermined civil rule and plunged the country into an avoidable crisis.

Spokesperson of the DSS described the suspects as entrenched interests who have mysterious plans to set aside the constitution and undermine civil administration. He also said that this posture of those enemies of Nigeria was unacceptable and illegality to the nation's democracy and the peace-loving citizens of Nigeria especially when the elections were virtually peaceful in the most parts of the country. Those political actors according to the DSS spokesman had held several meetings where they planned to sponsor violent protests in major cities across Nigeria for the purpose of invoking declaration of state of emergency.

He also claimed that the enemies of State had also obtained frivolous Court injunctions to forestall the inauguration of the new executive administrations and legislative houses at Federal and State levels.

THREAT TO THE NASCENT DEMOCRACY OF NIGERIA IS NOT THE SOLUTION TO POLITICAL DISAGREEMENTS!

Citizens of Nigeria have fundamental rights to protest against unpopular actions of government but it has to be done in lawful manner. Agitation for an INTERIM NATIONAL GOVERNMENT is not the solution to the current disagreements on election outcomes.
Definitely in any election there shall be winners and losers, It is good for those who are victorious to count their success at the polls as opportunity to serve their nation and not as a laurels if they have good intentions.
Likewise, losers should not become bitter to the extent of wanting to cause disaffection among all people and create an atmosphere for bloodletting.

The DSS has enjoined stakeholders to be watchful and conscious to avoid being used as instruments to subvert peace and stability of the Nation and had promised to take decisive and necessary legal steps against those misguided elements to frustrate their obnoxious intentions.

The government agency avows full support for the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces and commitment to hitch- free hand over and assiduously support the Presidential Transition Council and other related bodies in the States to ensure that all activities towards the inauguration of a new president on the 29th May 2023 was seamless.

The DSS also called on the JUDICIARY, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS (CSOs), and THE MEDIA to be mindful of the antics of the saboteurs.
Well said but solution do all agitations remain in the POPULAR REFERENDUM OF THE CITIZENS that will usher in a PARLIAMENTARY UNICAMERAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT and create opportunities for grassroots participation in government as PARLIAMENTARIANS who will PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER in an election that will rancour-free and cost-effective!

Nigerians reject the type of election where presidential candidates had to pay NGN100 million naira as intention fee to climb the highest seat of government in the country.

It is time for Nigeria present administration to do the right thing to avoid any form of calamity. DEFINITELY VIOLENCE IS NOT THE SOLUTION TO NIGERIA'S CURRENT IMBROGLIO! “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is reproach to all people.” (Prov 14:34).

Outgoing Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika will stop at nothing to possess the proposed Nigeria Air national carrier by proxy especially with the succinct support of his godfather, Major General President Muhammadu Buhari, as the icing on the cake of eight years of being a cabinet minister!
For seven consecutive years, Hadi Sirika had consistently pushed for the commissioning of a new air carrier for Nigeria with diligent professionalism considering the fact that in the past 20 years, Nigeria could not boast of a national air carrier!
Nigeria Airways was the flagship national air carrier of the Federal Republic which operated for 44 years (1959-2003 ), but became moribund due to so many factors prominent among which was maladministration.

During ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo's tenure, a renowned international aeronautic business man Richard Branson was contracted to float another national air carrier christened Virgin Nigeria. Operations started earnestly in June 2005 and lasted till September 2012 when its operation terminated for reason of breach of contract! Ordinarily Hadi Sirika could be classified as a patriot who believed in an evolving economy most importantly in the Aviation Industry which he vouched would contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). According to him the new investment would facilitate hospitality, tourism, growth, development of the Nigerian agricultural sector and also create jobs around the Agro Cargo Terminals.
Other benefits of the new national air carrier would include reduced capital flight from Nigeria; gain the optimal Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) and Single African Air Transportation Market (SAATM) and develop an aviation hub.

WILL THIS LAST DESPERATE ATTEMPT BY HADI SIRIKA TO FLOAT A NATIONAL AIR CARRIER FOR NIGERIA SUCCEED?

Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), have jointly accused Hadi Sirika of single-handedly chosen Ethiopian Airlines (ET), as the sole partner in the new venture of Nigeria Air through a pseudo Transaction Adviser for the transaction which was incorporated in March 2022. They also alleged that the Aviation Minister secured an Air Transport Licence which did not pass through normal security clearance of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)! Following a civil litigation which challenged the propriety, necessity and desperation of the Minister, his autocratic order of December 2022 as take-off month had to be cancelled in conformity to an earlier judgment in November which ordered all parties to maintain status quo till 16th January 2023! According to AON, the new contract favored Ethiopian Airlines which would own dominant shares in the deal to the detriment of indigenous operators who have vehemently rejected the unscrupulous contract as unacceptable!

WILL AIRLINE OPERATORS SUCCEED TO BLOCK THE AVIATION MINISTER AT THE COURTS?

We have it on good authority that on 15th and 24th November 2022 respectively, a Federal High Court in Lagos
1. Granted the plaintiffs an interim injunction restraining the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines from proceeding with the establishment of Nigeria Air Limited and
2. Stopped the establishment of the proposed national carrier - Nigeria Air by the Federal Government.
The Judge re-ordered the Federal Government and domestic airlines which petitioned the courts to maintain status quo in their suit relating to the establishment of the new airline, until February 2023.

He made the order pending the determination of the suit filed by Registered Trustees of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), and five others in the Aviation Industry. The Court was informed that the project lacked transparency on funding and also zero consideration for local operators and national interest because the new Nigeria Air has USD$250 million dollars startup budget of which the Federal Government would only contribute USD$12.5 million dollars in line with its 5% share in the proposed new home-based carrier. And whereas no concrete statement was made in respect of who possessed the balance bulk shares!
Would the 95% be shared between Hadi Sirika and Ethiopian Airline (ET)?

NIGERIA AIR WILL FLY BEFORE MAY 29 ACCORDING TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

In spite of all the controversies, litigations suspicions, allegations etc, Hadi Sirika still boasted that the Nigeria Air aircraft would be in the air before 29th May 2023 departure date of himself and his boss!
He made the disclosure “sub judice” at a National Aviation Stakeholders Forum 2023 in Abuja on Thursday 23rd March 2023 in spite of the fact that all matters relating to the project were still in court under litigation!
According to him, negotiations and meetings with Ethiopian Airlines Group Consortium and the Federal Government were ongoing, and that the Federal Executive Council (FEC), approval of the full business case was being sought.
He also disclosed that operation of local and international flights would commence before 29th May 2023, in spite of the fact that the Federal Ministry of Aviation could not deploy every necessary step to vacate the order which has stopped the ongoing project towards the establishment of the national airline since November 2022.

THE ROLE OF ABUJA- BASED TRANSACTION ADVISOR HAND-PICKED BY AVIATION MINISTER!

An Abuja-based Transaction Adviser on the new national airline, one Tillman Gabriel who was allegedly linked to Hadi Sirika, had, in an advertorial made the following statements to the public in respect of the Nigeria Air transaction:
"..... Following a transparent bidding and decision process managed under the private-public partnership (PPP), Federal Government has issued a clear ownership structure including the leading African Airline with a secured startup budget which gives Nigeria Air a solid financial foundation."

IN SPITE OF HADI SIRIKA'S OBSESSION, CAN A DEBT-RIDDEN NIGERIA AFFORD THE LUXURY OF A NEW AIRLINE IN THE TWILIGHT OF BUHARI'S EXIT FROM OFFICE? HIS PREDECESSORS IN OFFICE: ‘FEMI FANI-KAYODE AND STELLA ODUAH ARE STILL IN COURT TO PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE IN CASES OF OFFICIAL CORRUPTION FILED AGAINST THEM BY THE ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION (EFCC)!
The answer is NO! But there's one thing you can't take away from Hadi Sirika, he is an addicted pilot who will always love to fly with the KITES in the air.
Flying is the only language he understands, his hobby and only pastime! He studied and became a professional pilot early in life! His soul is totally sold to the addiction and Politics is just by the way!
However our advice to him is to leave the poor taxpayers of this nation alone and not involve them in his antics! Nigeria is bigger ONE ADDICTED FLIER!

In a defiant and daring confrontation against all constituted authorities in charge of conduct of elections; Nigerian citizens reneged on their franchise through VOTER APATHY which exploded and reverberated across the nation in an audible cacophony, "WE WILL NOT VOTE AGAIN WE HAVE NEVER GAINED ANY DIVIDENDS!"

Deliberate massive boycott of the postponed Governorship and States House of Assembly Elections which eventually took place on Saturday 18th March, 2023, occurred in virtually 28 States as COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES flourished as market women and youths in full glare of cameras dared law enforcement agents to arrest them! On the flip side, THUGS who did not believe in drama unleashed violence at polling units, seized, vandalized and burnt ballot boxes, papers etc. while the riggers also had a field day!

The "restricted" naira - both new and old were disbursed openly to purchase the Votes of unscrupulous electorate although EFCC claimed it arrested hundreds of defaulters who would be prosecuted in due time!

NIGERIA CAN NEVER GET ANY ELECTION RIGHT WITH THE MILITARY PRESIDENTIAL CONSTITUTION!

The Executive blunder which sandwiched introduction of re-designed naira currencies by the Central Bank with conduct of the General Elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, between 15th December 2022-18th March 2023, has further portrayed Nigeria as a country without appropriate and articulate policy direction!

The ripple effects of the unwholesome marriage of the two critical events
which lasted for about 90 Days almost set Nigeria onto a path of self-inflicted conflagration and massive civic disobedience in view of the attendant chains of socio-economic breakdown and total insecurity of lives and properties across the country!

GOING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE!

The Central Bank Governor in an announcement of Thursday 27th October 2022, claimed that benefits of the re-designed naira currencies were enormous as it would terminate counterfeiting, cancel further official money printing, check corruption, precipitate cashless economy and create liquidity to manage inflation. He also said that of the NGN3 trillion currencies in circulation NGN2.7 trillion were outside the banking sector and have stifled economic transactions through massive infiltration of counterfeit and very dirty currencies that could no longer qualify as legal tender.
The Central Bank of Nigeria Act 2007 gives the financial agency a free hand to re-design, produce and release into circulation as appropriate, provided it complied with provisions of Section 18(a), Section 19 (a)(b) of the Act and approval of the President in writing.

THE APEX BANK AND ITS GOVERNOR SHOULD BE INSULATED FROM POLITICKING IN NORMAL CLIMES!

Under the Watch of the old general Muhammadu Buhari, Godwin emefiele Governor of the Central Bank bought our interest form of the All Progressive Party for 100 million naira to contest for presidency.

When public outcry in respect of his ambition became very loud he went to court to challenge his antagonists in respect of his constitutional rights which must be respected! Eventually when the heat continued he withdrew his petition from the court and decided to surreptitiously demand his "pound of flesh" from the downtrodden through the naira currency redesign which left them high and dry in consecutive THREE MONTHS!

ACCUSATION AGAINST EMEFIELE IS NOT CONSPIRACY THEORY!

*Mr. President from the onset connived with the CBN under the pretext that money launderers where the target of naira redesign because they had billions of the old currencies to purchase Votes and rig the elections!

*It was established that the President was privy to the entire policy because a CBN spokesman claimed that the agency made a request and writing from him.

*Several people approached the court to counter this unpopular CBN action and the Supreme Court ordered exparte orders on 8th and 15th February 2023 respectively that old currencies should remain legal tender with the new ones until Wednesday 22nd February 2023, three days before the Presidential elections when a substantive order would be made.

*But Major General Muhammadu Buhari who was used to disobeying Court orders on Thursday 16th February 2023, made a national broadcast to counter , the Supreme Court's ex parte order and the decreed that NGN200 naira old naira notes should be introduced as legal tender in order to cushion the sufferings of the masses!

*Although he claimed that he was not unmindful of the Supreme Court's interim order but that his action was in good faith. The Supreme Court has put him in his rightful place in spite of the executive rascality which it he displayed!

UNANIMOUS JUDGMENT OF SUPREME COURT OF FRIDAY 3RD MARCH, 2023!

1) Supreme Court ordered that the old NGN 200, 500, 1000 naira notes should remain in circulation till 31st December 2023.
2) It nullified the Federal Government's naira redesign policy and described it as an affront to the1999 Constitution.
3) The Jurists rebuked the unconstitutional use of powers by the old retired General on naira redesign because it breached the fundamental rights of Nigerian citizens in various ways.
4) Such attitude was not permitted under democracy and in a society like Nigeria.

NOW THAT THE ELECTIONS ARE OVER WHAT NEXT?

The ruling APC government and it's President should cover their faces in shame because they have failed to fulfill their manifesto in respect of care of the masses economic needs and provision of dividends of democracy.

Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is the president-elect-in-waiting to be sworn in on 29th May 2023 should be reminded that the election that brought him on board was CONTROVERSIAL and unacceptable to ALMIGHTY GOD!

HE should not waste time to quickly obey the instructions of the Lord to begin the process of establishing a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT and ensure that in SIX MONTHS THE PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM SHOULD BE IN OPERATION!

Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso had lived amicably together in Nigeria for at least 22 years.
There was and could be no reason for quarrel or fight among the quadruple since there was no competition and everyone minded his business and family successfully.

*Atiku Abubakar, a top Customs and Excise Officer cum business magnate who had his hands filled with on-shore/off-shore import/export and also engaged as Federal Government Duties Major Collecting Agents at the Lagos and Onne Ports, Port-Harcourt is also very rich and successful. He is also a multi-billionaire! Atiku served as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for 8 years.

*Peter Obi, an economist, businessman also served as the Executive Governor of Anambra South East Nigeria for 8 years. He is also a multi-billionaire who operates off-shore foreign accounts and has large sums of money statched away in PANAMA ISLANDS!
He did not deny the facts but explained it off very lightly because he did not believe in the financial system of the country he intended to govern!

*Rabiu Kwankwaso is a businessman/ politician who had served in privileged positions at Federal and State levels. He also served for 8 years as Executive Governor of North West Kano State. Rabiu may not be a multi-billionaire but he is definitely NOT a poor man by any standard!

Under normal conditions and circumstances the FOUR HORSES were very amiable, friendly and very cooperative because they had TWO THINGS in common - they were all businessmen and re-cycled politicians!

The camaraderie was always at the highest peak until a competitive political race to the Presidential State House, Aso Rock was announced by the constitutional umpire - Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in early 2022!

THE RACE HAS BEEN RUN AND WON!

Out of the FOUR FRIENDS, "...time and chance" divinely happened to 'Bola Tinubu who has been declared winner of the Presidential Election held Saturday, 25th February, 2023, and presented with his Certificate of Return according to the 2022 Electoral Act on Wednesday, 1st March 2023.

The grape has turned sour and the erstwhile Tinubu friends are now contemplating to petition the Courts to recover their STOLEN MANDATE not privy to the Divine intervention which chose him at a time such as this to serve as the CHANGE AGENT WHO MUST ENSURE THAT NIGERIA ENGAGED IN A TRUE DEMOCRACY OF UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT.


HOUSEHOLD ENEMIES WILL ALWAYS FALL!

This anecdote will be incomplete without mentioning the disaster that befell THREE among the TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL which confederated to war against and destroy JUDAH, the "Chosen Tribe" of GOD; as it is written in the Book of II Chronicles.20:1-30.

The three tribes were Moab, Ammon and Mount Seir. Moab and Ammon were descendants of the INCEST children born to LOT (Abraham's nephew who escaped the conflagration of Sodom and Gommorah), by his TWO DAUGHTERS, while, the troops of Mount Seir were descendants of ESAU - the TWIN BROTHER OF JACOB!

Due to their unprovoked conspiracy, God took over the battle, confused Judah's adversaries and turned them to fight themselves: "For the children of Ammon and Moab stood, up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
"And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped." (verses 23-24).


BOTH JUDAH AND TINUBU ARE NOT SAINTS BUT DIVINE CHOSEN VESSELS!

Whomsoever God has blessed no man can curse. Tinubu is not a saint but a tool in the hand of the almighty God. Those who have ganged up to oppose his election at the courts should just back off in their own interest and withdraw their petitions.

Atiku who said at a press conference that he would pursue the case to the Supreme Court in answer to a question that should he lose at all levels in response answered: " I will appeal to God."

We have it on good authority that the Six Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), States which petitioned the Supreme Court on behalf of Atiku have withdrawn their case!

Citizens expectation is for all FAILED CONTESTANTS to embrace Tinubu's "Olive Branch" and form a UNITY GOVERNMENT that will produce the Divinely-Mandated Parliamentary System of Government in Nigeria within SIX MONTHS from 29th May 2023.

CONCLUSION:
God can use anyone even SINNERS to achieve his Divine purpose on Earth because all authority both in Heaven and on Earth belong to Him! (Psalm 24 1-2).

Out of the FOUR FRIENDS, "...time and chance" divinely happened to 'Bola Tinubu who has been declared winner of the Presidential Election held Saturday, 25th February, 2023, and presented with his Certificate of Return according to the 2022 Electoral Act on Wednesday, 1st March 2023.

The grape has turned sour and the erstwhile Tinubu friends are now contemplating to petition the Courts to recover their STOLEN MANDATE not privy to the Divine intervention which chose him at a time such as this to serve as the CHANGE AGENT WHO MUST ENSURE THAT NIGERIA ENGAGED IN A TRUE DEMOCRACY OF UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT.


HOUSEHOLD ENEMIES WILL ALWAYS FALL!

This anecdote will be incomplete without mentioning the disaster that befell THREE among the TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL which confederated to war against and destroy JUDAH, the "Chosen Tribe" of GOD; as it is written in the Book of II Chronicles.20:1-30.

The three tribes were Moab, Ammon and Mount Seir. Moab and Ammon were descendants of the INCEST children born to LOT (Abraham's nephew who escaped the conflagration of Sodom and Gommorah), by his TWO DAUGHTERS, while, the troops of Mount Seir were descendants of ESAU - the TWIN BROTHER OF JACOB!

Due to their unprovoked conspiracy, God took over the battle, confused Judah's adversaries and turned them to fight themselves: "For the children of Ammon and Moab stood, up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them; and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
"And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped." (verses 23-24).


BOTH JUDAH AND TINUBU ARE NOT SAINTS BUT DIVINE CHOSEN VESSELS!

Whomsoever God has blessed no man can curse. Tinubu is not a saint but a tool in the hand of the almighty God. Those who have ganged up to oppose his election at the courts should just back off in their own interest and withdraw their petitions.

Atiku who said at a press conference that he would pursue the case to the Supreme Court in answer to a question that should he lose at all levels in response answered: " I will appeal to God."

We have it on good authority that the Six Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), States which petitioned the Supreme Court on behalf of Atiku have withdrawn their case!

Citizens expectation is for all FAILED CONTESTANTS to embrace Tinubu's "Olive Branch" and form a UNITY GOVERNMENT that will produce the Divinely-Mandated Parliamentary System of Government in Nigeria within SIX MONTHS from 29th May 2023.

CONCLUSION:
God can use anyone even SINNERS to achieve his Divine purpose on Earth because all authority both in Heaven and on Earth belong to Him! (Psalm 24 1-2).

In spite of all the controversies surrounding his choice as the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate for the Saturday 25th February, 2023 Presidential Election, in respect of dubious educational qualifications, alleged involvement in drug crimes and illicit acquisition of wealth, 'Bola Tinubu, has emerged as the winner from among the 18 Contestants as the AGENT OF CHANGE!
However what transpired across the length and breadth of Nigeria at the weekend was a complete opposite of the Will of God but a re-enactment of the drama of the biblical "Tower of Babel" an allegory of the inordinate ambition of the homo sapiens which collectively rejected FREEDOM BLESSINGS AT CREATION!

With one language and one speech the whole post-dilluvian citizens of the Earth united to construct a very ambitious city and a physical gateway ladder to Heaven. (Gen.11:1-9). And whereas at creation, God decreed that Man should be fruitful, flourish, multiply, fill, subdue, SPREAD and have dominion over all of the Earth's animals, birds, fishes and sea mammals! And for their audacious disobedience GOD SCATTERED THEM ALL OVER THE EARTH TO DWELL IN FREEDOM AND NOT IN AUTOCRATIC BONDAGE AS IT IS THE PRACTICE IN NIGERIA PRESENTLY!
CONTINUITY OF PRESIDENCY IN NIGERIA IS REBELLION AGAINST GOD!

From Independence in 1960 God in His Wisdom deliberately directed the Founding Fathers to adopt a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT with a Prime Minister as Head of State for the purposes of establishing an economically-viable nation which would give opportunity for human capacity development in all sectors. But The Military Reversed The Divine Plan And Introduced Presidential Governance!
The out-going military President of Nigeria, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari in his two-term of eight years in government had ample opportunity to write his name in gold if only he had humbly bowed to the Citizens' popular WILL for participatory governance through the PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT.

From the onset of his first tenure in 2015, he failed to hearken to suggestions from various quarters that the presidential system adopted by retired General Abubakar Abdusalam was too expensive for a developing and very corrupt country like Nigeria BUT he stubbornly stuck to his hidden feudalistic agenda that should perpetually enslave the entire populace!
The presidential system of government in Nigeria has been thrown to the dogs and its structures from the Federal to the States and Local Government Areas have collapse into smittens!
All the corrupt politicians from 1999 to date turned deaf ears to the collective agitations for an all-inclusive UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM that would provide for grassroot participation into elective offices from the various constituencies up to the highest post of PRIME MINISTER.
Instead they all connived and further delved into CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS or set up NATIONAL CONFERENCES that would provide avenues for more opportunities for institutional robbery of the National treasury.

Ex-presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan were inundated with not less than SIX legislative assembly constitutional amendments which were not signed by any of them although all the activities consumed nothing less than NGN15 billion naira which went into the pockets of the roguish politicians.
Major General President Buhari's legacy should have been meaningful handing over to a PRIME MINISTER on 29th May 2023 but he has lost the Golden opportunity through his obsession for the Fulani Herdsmen Ancient Nomadic Routes which according to him was more important than Nigeria's unity in diversity.

AND in spite of the several avalanche of appeals to a mere mortal like Mr. Buhari to shut the Senate from 2015 for starters in order to save scarce resources and nip in the bud all manner of wastage in government, he turned deaf ears and continued stubbornly to spend the money and to borrow more to satisfy his appetite for stupendous and opulent lifestyle!

ALAS! IF ONLY PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI HAD LISTENED TO DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS!

Although Nigeria is so broke and has to borrowed as usual over NGN 300 billion naira from international communities to even fund the highly- expensive 2023 Presidential Elections, yet logistics and security architecture lapses were very pronounced across the nation through late arrivals at polling units by INEC officials, attacks of polling booths, snatching of ballot boxes, criminal destruction of BIVAS MACHINES, voting late into the night, postponement of voting and collation to the Sunday 26th February 2023 etc.

CONFUSION TRAILS THE INCONCLUSIVE PRESIDENTIAL/LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS OF SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY, 2023!

The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission )INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu who is the constitutional returning officer for the Federation of Nigeria at about 7 p.m.on Sunday 26th February 2023, announced the only available collated final results of the Presidential Election for EKITI South West Nigeria as follows: APC - 201494; PDP - 89554! LP - 11,387; NNPP - 284. and adjourned further deliberations to 11am Monday 27th February, 2023. APC had 65 per cent of total votes cast!
Earlier, he had apologized to Nigerians for all the inconveniences that the Electorate had to be subjected to at polling units from Saturday up to the following day because many of them virtually slept at the venues.
He blamed the lapses on faulty logistics which was at variance with off season elections in magnitude and operational executions.
THE TASK BEFORE ASIWAJU 'BOLA AHMED TINUBU IS TO OBEY DIVINE INSTRUCTIONS UNLIKE HIS PREDECESSOR, MUHAMMADU BUHARI!

" I The LORD GOD Almighty your creator believes that if I Had made you President of Nigeria from 2015, you would have performed creditably well; therefore now be ready to hit the ground to carry out My
Orders as follows:
1) Make categorical inaugural statement on 29th May, 2023, that you will set up a CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY to look into the masses' demand for the restructuring of the Nigerian Federation with the DRAFTING OF UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION to pave way for a parliamentary system of government.
2) Within your first THREE MONTHS in office you MUST establish all necessary platforms through which the presidential system would wind down gradually for all political structures from the Federal through the States to the Local Government Areas to collapse seamlessly.
3) ON MONDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2023 A PRIME MINISTER FOR NIGERIA MUST BE SWORN IN TO ASSUME OFFICE!

What happens when a general election is suddenly postponed as it was always the case in Nigeria? The option of such deliberate delay would afford an unpopular administration to re-strategize, re-organize and deploy fresh rigging machinery into operation to achieve the ultimate desire for pseudo victory!
Up to the first week of February 2023 when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), closed the window for collection of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), across Nigeria, thousands of thousands of bona fide Electorate had been disenfranchised due to institutional lapses and nonchalant attitude of the larger personnel of the electoral umpire!

Citizens besieged all designated collection centres foisted by INEC through various publicity portals but it became crystal clear as the period of collection thinned out that such PVCs were either non-existent or had been vandalized and were never re-printed!

In the second week, Monday 13th February 2023, Professor Mahmood Yakubu INEC Chairman told Nigerians that elections would not be held in 240 Polling Units across Nigeria because voters failed to register in those units that were established in 20, States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

While addressing the 18 political Parties Chairmen, the INEC Chairman disclosed that his Staff discovered on inspection that the polling units had no registered voters and also disclosed that the total number of polling units in Nigeria were 176,606. And whereas it was in June 2022, that INEC established an additional 56 872 polling units in his expansion of Voter Access Drive to accommodate all the Electorate without disenfranchising anyone. To the ordinary layman INEC did a yeoman’s job to prove its credibility to deliver an all-inclusive and transparent elections to the populace.

BUT IS INEC NOT SUSPECT AND COMPLICIT?

News making the rounds is that 40 local government areas in the Northern parts of the country were under Boko Haram terrorists and bandits jurisdiction and that in those areas, the insurgents collect taxes and have even taken over the farms of the indigenes with a view to enslaving them permanently. WE have it on good authority that in January 2023, the Professor said that elections would not be held in those 240 PUs for SECURITY REASONS! BUT WE are not alien to the Professor's nuances and double-speaking! In the year 2019 Mahmood gave Nigerians assurances and convictions that the conduct of that year’s general elections would be flawless in spite of the existing threats to national security through vandalism and destruction of lives and properties in an unimaginable proportions between October 2018 and the election year!

BUT AT DAWN ON THE D-DAY AT EXACTLY 02.44 AM, WHEN THE GOOD PEOPLE OF NIGERIA WERE STILL FAST ASLEEP, (BARELY FIVE HOURS TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY POLLS - SLATED FOR SATURDAY 16TH FEBRUARY, 2019, FROM 08.00HRS), PROFESSOR MAHMOOD YAKUBU ANNOUNCED POSTPONEMENT BY ONE WEEK EACH OF THE TWO STRATEGIC ELECTIONS! If that was not an affront/insult to the collective sensibilities of about 200 million CITIZENS by just one man who depended on an Electoral Act to the detriment of their Fundamental Rights as entrenched in the GRUNDNORM – the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, and got away with it!

HIS REASONS? Logistics and weather challenges!!!! The Executive Umpire said it was INEVITABLE!!!! He later interacted with all stakeholders, Chairmen of political parties
in the afternoon of 16 February 2019 an explained that logistic constraints had to do with the air lifting of highly sensitive materials to far-flung Local Government Areas so that elections could commence simultaneously at 0800 a.m. across the country but that ILL WEATHER prevailed against the plan. The Professor assured Nigerians that the new date which was 23rd February 2019 was sacrosanct and that no one should exercise any further fear of another postponement because sensitive materials that were already in circulation would be recovered and re-certified. He also assured all Nigerians and the Electorate of the unflinching integrity and loyalty of his management team with an emphasis that the "COMMISSION WOULD NOT PLAY ANY ONE'S SCRIPT!"
MAHMOOD YAKUBU IS STILL IN THE SADDLE FOR THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS WHICH COME UP WITHIN SIX DAYS OF THIS PUBLICATION - 25TH FEBRUARY, 2023!

ARE NIGERIANS IN FOR ANOTHER SHOCKER IN RESPECT OF THIS YEAR'S ELECTION DATES?

The new 2022 Electoral Act rests the exercise of PREROGATIVE ON INEC Chairman to exercise all legal powers in the conduct of elections including the right to postpone such elections in cases of the possibility of serious breach of peace, natural disaster or other emergencies provided that such reason was cogent and verifiable. Nigerians are not new to postponement of elections because in the preparations to the 2011 and 2015 general elections various logistic challenges cropped up.

BUT 2015 postponement was a government intervention under the PDP Administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan over the issue of INSECURITY which topped the list of his fears.
AND he wasted no time to announce a very long postponement through his National Security Advisor, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.. Before the postponement of the 2015 elections, there were several allegations that the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and its allies had prepared to invite foreign mercenaries to work with Boko Haram terrorist in order to seize the government at all cost. It was also alleged that terrorists were heavily funded to unleash mayhem before, during and after the elections because billions of US dollars had exchange hands to ensure that the rigging plan by the opposition was "faith accompli."

QUESTIONS:
Is there any possibility that the 2023 General Elections could be sabotaged by the FIFTH COLUMNISTS whom all the stakeholders including the ruling party were bandying about without bringing forth solid evidences thus far?
According to newspaper reports, not less than 134 INEC facilities have been vandalized, damaged and destroyed continuously in the last two years leading to January 2023! The worst-hit had been the Eastern States of Nigeria especially IMO and Anambra. Apart from INEC facilities, Police Station Buildings, Correctional Centres, Strategic Government Facilities have been targeted and torched to aggravate tension of insecurity across the country! It is our considered opinion that citizens may have objections to the crop of bad leaders that are being taunted and paraded before the Electorate BUT THE PANACEA TO THE QUAGMIRE IS NOT THROUGH ACTS OF VANDALISM AND DESTRUCTION OF INNOCENT LIVES AND PROPERTIES.

WE OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD THE ZION B-BC NEWSLETTER may object to the Military Presidential System of the ruling APC Government which has brought woes and mysteries to the larger population of Nigerians, WE still believe in legitimate democratic methods of ensuring that the agitation for RESTRUCTURING OF NIGERIA MUST BE THROUGH A PEACEFUL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT.

It is do-able because when the right candidate is chosen it will not take him time, and within weeks of his inauguration should broker a CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY and put in motion the drafting of a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will bring everybody on board. This had been our advocacy for 13 years - since ex-President Jonathan took over the reins of government in 2011! THIS DEMAND MUST NEVER BE CONDUCTED THROUGH VIOLENCE BUT THROUGH PEACEFUL ADVOCACY!

HAS MAHMOOD YAKUBU ANY ULTERIOR MOTIVES - ARE NIGERIANS IN FOR ANOTHER SHOCKER?

These professors from the Ivory tower can never be TRUSTED! They always believed that they were more cerebral than other citizens but were easily manipulated and outwitted by politicians in government! WE know that the BIMODAL VOTER ACCREDITATION SYSTEM (BIVAS), is in place to check all forms of rigging and other electoral malpractices by these bunch of desperate politicians that are parading themselves for positions of authority and power; but what about vote-buying which have been intensified and perfected from one election to another?

All security apparatuses should be deployed by PATRIOTS in government who are very interested in the SURVIVAL OF THIS GREAT NATION OF NIGERIA to checkmate any form of plans that the ENEMIES OF STATE may have up their sleeves to truncate what is left of this nascent democracy!

The Nigerian Supreme Court is in the news again for bad reasons. Conflicting judgements have resulted in respect of a suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the apex court on behalf of its out-going Senate President who resorted to return to his constituency and reclaim his former seat already filled by a fresh candidate having failed in the party's Presidential Primaries!

Ahmad Lawan had been in the Legislature from, 1999-2023 as the representative for Yobe North but decided to up his game to the Presidency in the expected up-coming general elections.
The Yobe North Senatorial Seat which is in contention between Senate President Ahmad Lawan and a greenhorn Bashir Machina was litigated at the Lower and Upper Courts in favour of the latter.

Bashir physically participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC), party primaries conducted on 28th May 2022, won and his name submitted to INEC according to Section 29 of the Electoral Act 2022.

On the other hand, Mr. Lawan voluntarily withdrew from the senatorial primaries of 28th May 2022 and opted for the presidential primaries of the APC of 8th June 2022 and lost!
Having lost his bid for the top-most position, Mr Lawan manipulated fresh primaries for the Yobe North Senatorial District slot with the tacit connivance of the Electoral Umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on 9th June 2022 and was declared the winner!

SPLIT JUDGEMENTS OF THE FIVE APPEAL COURT JUDGES!

The lead Judge claimed that both court processes filed against Lawan at the Federal High Court Yobe and the Appeal Court in Abuja were "abuse of court processes," , and that they were "perverse and must be set aside".
He also said that Macchina should have commenced his suit by a writ of summons going by the allegations of fraud leveled against the APC by transmitting Mr. Lawan's name to INEC.

However the dissenting Judges maintained that the APC lacked merit and fined the Party a sum of NGN3 million in favour of Macchina!

CAN ANYTHING GOOD COME OUT OF A CORRUPT JUDICIARY?

*Who will redeem the image of the Nigerian Judiciary which table rest the hope of the common man?
* Should any Nigerian be surprised at the conflicting judgements of the Apex Court?
* If Lawan could pay a whopping unrefundable sum of NGN100 million naira to purchase APC Interest Form to become Nigeria's next President, what amount would be too much for him to purchase corrupt Judges of the THIRD ARM!

It is in the public domain that during the first term administration of Major General Muhammadu Buhari, senior judges including those of the Supreme Court were humiliated and disgraced by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS), in a STING OPERATION which exposed them as corrupt officers of the law!
The disciplinary body of Judges, the National Judicial Council (NJC), was deliberately sidelined in order to catch the corrupt judges by surprise and so they did!
*BUT IT WAS AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY AS WE PREDICTED THEN IN 2016 THAT THE CULPRITS WOULD BE SET FREE!

Although most of them were caught red- handed with monetary evidences and unexplainable "gifts" of exotic vehicles and millions of foreign currencies in various denomination, "kagaroo courts" headed by the fraternity of judges set all of them free to go home and enjoy their loots!

INCUMBENT CHIEF JUSTICE ARIWOOLA IS STANDING ON THE "BANANA PEEL" AND IT MAY NOT BE TOO LONG BEFORE HE FALLS FLAT!

Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola started on the wrong footing by frolicking, socializing and reveling with politicians BUT, the Supreme Court of Nigeria Director Press and Information, in a very lengthy statement at the week end condemned all criticisms against the latest judgement in favour of Mr. Lawan who has brought Nigeria into more ridicule among the comity of nations for his unbridled. LUST for ephemeral power and transient positions!

It is not in dispute that there are eminent jurists with impeccable character, moral principles. Integrity, diligence, commitment to high standards within the current Judiciary of Nigeria but those who have thrown caution to the winds in preference of immorality and corruption MUST be purged and excised from the SYSTEM!

The following statement credited to Justice Ayo Salami, a retired judge of the Appeal Court is relevant to counter many many criticisms against the Nigerian Judiciary;
" The Nigerian judiciary harbours corrupt elements who are politicians and government apologist who attend all manner of social gatherings and frolic with litigants with pending cases before the High Courts.....How can judges decide cases against their political parties and people they wine and dine with he queried?"

AT THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES, A MATTER IS CONFIRMED!

Who will purge the JUDICIARY of this CORRUPTION STIGMA? Definitely not the propaganda of the Director of Press and Information!

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS:
Before Major General President Muhammadu Buhari departs office on 29th May 2023, he should follow up on his FIRST TERM PETITION TO THE JUDICIARY IN WHICH HE MADE THE FOLLOWING SUBMISSIONS;
1) The Learned Benchers should be forefront in the forefront to develop right- based jurisprudence as an element of the multidisciplinary approach advocated in the fight against corruption by enforcing applicable laws to avoid delay in ensuring criminal Justice administration.
2) The Apex Court should intensify the reforms introduced through the criminal justice act of 2015 and discourage lawyers who were out to frustrate the reforms for a change of attitude collective action in building a new Nigeria.
3) In view of the dwindling Revenue, the Judiciary should support in tackling the two ILLS - WASTE AND CORRUPTION simultaneously.
4) Can the Nigerian Supreme Court provide refuge and justice to the aggrieved while it regularly dines and wines with the high and mighty of the society? This very salient question has been asked severally in the past but it seemed that the Judiciary had developed thick skin against public criticisms and outcries in respect of its dented image!
5) BUT We believe that it was high time that the present crop of the entire judiciary looked inwards and introspect in order to shore up a new/impeccable identity that should uplift this very weak arm of government to the pedestal.
6) And whereas the duty of the Judiciary as the third arm to the Executive and the Legislative is clearly spelt out in the military 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in respect of ensuring equity legislation and human rights adjudication.
7) The three arms of government should work together as a team to ensure good governance and sovereignty to the people based on the principles of democracy and social justice while the security and welfare of the people should always be the primary purpose of the three arms.
The Judiciary should also serve as the arbiter between the Executive and the Legislature and THE LAST HOPE OF THE COMMON MAN IN REALITY!

Although, it is not expressly stipulated in the 2022 Electoral Act that the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], could play the role of an advisory body or institution that could suggest a better system of government for a country like Nigeria which had thrown its advantageous DIVERSITY PROPENSITY to the dogs unlike the United States of America which had turned its similar experience into a gold mine of economic prosperity and the undisputed “numero uno” military world power!

But in 62 years of conducting Nigerian elections – under different nomenclatures – INEC, which had always been headed by seasoned technocrats and professors from the Ivory Tower, was most qualified to speak truth to power that the choice of Presidential system for a developing nation as Nigeria could tantamount to an OLIGARCHY in which the illiterate few would apply feudal influence to always have their way, as it now obtains inside the very domain of the Giant of Africa on paper !

Counting down to the uninspiring and very unpopular February/March 2023 Presidential, Governorship and Legislative Elections being forced down the throat of the over 95 per cent downtrodden multi-dimensionally poverty-stricken citizens Nigerians, gory scenarios of political violence, destruction of lives/properties, and institutionally-sponsored vandalism of strategic infrastructure have become the order of the day across the entire LANDSCAPE!

The National Anthem lyric which states that; “.... though tribe and tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand.....”, is balderdash, propaganda and diversionary! Since the flag-off of electioneering campaigns, the 36 States have experienced violence and bloodshed as party thugs unleashed mayhem on perceived political enemies!

That Nigeria is truly "a GEOGRAPHICAL CONTRAPTION" of many countries wickedly sandwiched together by the British colonial masters, is playing out its drama in disunity, ethnic rivalries, religious intolerance, bigotry, hatred, unhealthy rivalry etc!

TO THE OUT-GOING BUHARI ADMINISTRATION, INSECURITY IS MERE BY-WORD!

Presently, there are three major commotions in circulation like the bourbon plague across the expanse nation and it very evident that Major General Muhammadu Buhari and his cohorts who believe that Nigeria belongs to their Ethnic Fulani Clan, C-A-R-E-L-E-S-S!

1) Recalcitrant nation-wide fuel scarcity which began in Quarter 2, 2022 and is still persistent has been a snare to the entire population across the six-geo political zones.Previously, there was a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which administrative headquarters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria was classified as "The Four Towers of Corruption", because of the untamed, co-ordinated, aggressive and daring kind of institutional robbery of the national treasury - the Federation Account by the very powerful agency which calls the shot in respect of NATIONAL FOREIGN EARNINGS from crude oil! From its establishment in 1997-2022, the NNPC which supervised OIL EXPLORATION, EXPLOITATION including activities of FOREIGN OIL COMPANIES, was virtually non-accountable to all consecutive administrations - military or civilian! It accounts were never audited for decades and its administrators never queried because consecutive civilian Presidents – except Mr. Jonathan, doubled as Ministers of Petroleum! Until the year 2020, when one Mr. Mele Kyari, emerged from nowhere to become Group Managing Director (GMD), and out of the blues, produced the very first “Audited Financial Statements And Annual Report, which portrayed unverifiable magical profits of USD$ 698 million dollars in spite of OPEC’s production cut back due to Covid-19 lock down effects! And whereas, in 2019, NNPC suffered a combined loss from three moribund Refineries in Warri, Port-Harcourt and Kaduna to the tune of NGN162.22 billion naira and in 2020 year of Covid-19 lockdown another whooping sum of NGN108.29 billion naira, according to records scooped from its official records! Following public outcry and condemnation of the Corporation, Major General President Muhammadu Buhari's government decided to transform it to a limited liability company now called Nigerian National Petroleum corporation Limited. (NNPCL)! BUT the woeful transition can best be described as a situation of jumping from frying pan to fire in view of the current situation of PETROL in an election year!

2) Systematic disenfranchisement of the electorate by the electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which has woefully failed to distribute the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), to thousands of registered citizens - still in the SECOND WEEK of February 2023, when the elections were few weeks ahead!

3) Unavailability of RE-DESIGNED NIGERIAN CURRENCIES which were believed to be diverted by commercial banks to political leaders at all levels in connivance to mop their stolen old currencies instead of releasing them to the masses as top priority in spite of Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBNs), new exchange closing deadline date of 10th February, 2023!

DUTIES OF INEC AS SPELT OUT IN THE 2022 ELECTORAL ACT!

The duty of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is to conduct free, fair, transparent and credible elections and is incumbent on the electoral body that the citizens were neither disenfranchised nor exposed to any form of electoral malpractices or threats on appointed election days.
Officials of the very strategic and sensitive agency of government must live above board and totally insulated from politics for them to faithfully discharge their onerous national duties without fear or favour.

THE WAY OUT OF THE QUAGMIRE!

The only way out for this nation to be set free from of the oligarchy, nepotistic, egoistic and tribal leaders whose main agenda is to keep every Nigerian in perpetual servitude is ADOPTION OF A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT WITHOUT! FURTHER DELAY!
The 774 Local Government Ares will collapse into CONSTITUENCIES which will produce PARLIAMENTARIANS from the various political parties while the party with the highest votes will produce a PRIME MINSTER at the Central Government! This means that from the grassroots everybody will be able to participate in governance to douse all tensions/animosities and diversity deliberately created through DIVIDE AND RULE TACTICS OF THE OLIGARCHY!
All built-up anger, dissatisfaction, segregation and bad blood among the people will disappear and fritter away because there would be a collective effort to work on the economy to become the TRADING GATEWAY AND ECONOMIC DESTINATION OF AFRICA OF THE 21ST CENTURY IN NO TIME!

This is a clarion call on Nigerian YOUTHS AGAIN FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME TO RESENT AND REJECT THE POSITION OF THUGS AND CRIMINALS DURING ELECTIONS AND CLAIM THEIR RESPECTABLE POSITION OF PRESENT AND FUTURE LEADERS!

TINUBU AND ATIKU SHOULD BE CHARGED FOR CORRUPTION AND FINANCIAL CRIMES AT THE HAGUE!

It has been long expected that the two major political parties in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will come into the open with credible information in respect of institutional corruption against their leading and contending candidates while they both held public offices.
Nigerians have been informed that while Tinubu was Lagos State Governor between 1999-2007, there were a lot of allegations of financial corruption against him and was also accused of being involved in drug activities while in the United States of America.

Atiku on the other hand had been accused also of financial mismanagement, financial crimes and outright theft of government critical infrastructures under the guise of privatization during his tenure as Vice President of Nigeria between 1999- 2007.

Their handlers have come out with facts and figures to let the whole world know that their major candidates were not fit for government appointments any longer.
EFCC , the financial crime agency of government has kept quiet in spite of the very weighty allegations that were being released in the public domain and on internet and have made Nigerians to become a laughing stock among the comity of Nations.
This is not acceptable at all and WE OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF THE ZION B-BC NEWSLETTER hereby make a formal request for international intervention through The INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT AT THE HAGUE which has legal rights to invite the two men to answer to charges related to financial crimes/corruption because ICC OPERATIVES have been in Nigeria and have been gathering facts and figures sufficiently PROSECUTE THE TWO MEN AND DIS-E FRANCHISE THEM FROM ANY ELECTION FOREVER!

There can be no better time for this international institution to wade in and resolve this imbroglio once and for all.

In 2014 the Kenyan sitting President Uhuru Kenyatta was invited over allegations that were levelled against him by his political opponent and as a good statesman answered to the invitation on charges of crimes against humanity.
He was thoroughly investigated, questioned, drilled and interviewed; but at the end he was given a clean bill of health and he returned to his position as the sitting President of the Republic of Kenya.
Nothing stops ICC from saving Nigeria from impending calamity that could easily evolve/explode through its timely intervention most especially because Nigeria is a signatory to the ICC universal convention and cannot stop the international organisation from taking the necessary and appropriate action now.

Nigeria is an independent and sovereign nation and has come a long way in 62 years to have true democracy and not this commotion that is trying to tear the people apart.
It is our considered opinion that the two men in question would honorably accept the invitation because politicians will come and go but Nigeria will remain forever.
Nigeria’s founding fathers did not plan that Nigeria should be at the crossroad where it had found itself now because of greedy, self-centered, self-conceited, re-cycled, corrupt and shameless politicians and their cohorts who have no good ideas to further pilot the nation!

EFCC, ICPC, NIGERIA POLICE, DSS, NIA OPERATIVES SHOULD BURY THEIR HEADS IN SHAME!

All of the above mentioned security and financial crime agencies should bury their heads in shame for collecting monthly salaries and allowances for non performances at their duty post.
Most of them do not merit the position they have found themselves but for the issue of nepotism which has taken the upper echelon in the conduct and administration of government institutions including the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Current occupants in high positions have all been bought over by politicians and all they do is look the other way when institutional crimes are committed!

But enough is enough THERE MUST BE LEADERSHIP REVOLUTION IN NIGERIA NOW because there could be no better time than this. The nation cannot continue to recycle criminals who have stolen so much from the system and are even richer than Nigeria to continue to govern the innocent people continuously!

There must be a change now! These people have continued with impunity to boast that they own Nigeria! Do they own Nigeria? Of course they do not and the truth must be told that these set of people must be brought to Justice without further delay!

They believe they’re so rich! Which businesses did they do in Nigeria or outside of Nigeria to have given them such stupendous and humongous amounts of riches?

It is no longer a secret that majority of the so-called leaders of this nation called Nigeria have monies stashed away in all dubious accounts of all the nations all over the world and Whereas, as leaders of the Nation they are expected to declare all their assets and liabilities, incomes etc to the CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU (CCB), on assumption of office

It is the practice in this country that before they take up political appointments that they would claim landed properties, houses, Industrial institutions and so many properties that were not in existence with the sole aim and intention of accumulating those things through public funds when they eventually rigged themselves into office.
Many of them did this in the past and got away seamlessly!

There was a particular former Governor of Kwara State that did all of the above and was charged before the CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU and with manipulations and all manner of interventions even from government sources he was set free and was able to keep all those properties for himself and his family.

‘BOLA TINUBU was also left of the hook while as Lagos governor committed similar offences by falsifying information in declarations of assets when he was in office.
Although he was arraigned before the tribunal, he also got away but presently, the Chairman of the Tribunal who is still alive now regrets that it was an error of judgement!
AND yet, ‘Bola Tinubu wants to become President of Nigeria haba? Nigerians must not engage in any form of criminality or violence but be determined that none of these people that are parading the nooks and crannies of Nigeria now ever got into office.
They must be put into absolute shame! Nobody should vote for them! THERE ARE DECENT CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF THE SO-CALLED BIG POLITICAL PARTIES that have not SOILED THEIR HANDS IN ANY FORM!
Nigeria is credited to have natural endowment of natural resources in all the 36 States and the federal capital territory of Nigeria but for 62 years had concentrated on ONLY CRUDE OIL EXPLORATION AND EXPLOITATION to the detriment of the WELFARE of NIGER DELTA REGION who dwell in abject poverty and squalor with nothing to show for it.

All these atrocities in high places must be stopped now. Nigeria should practice true democracy where everybody has a stake in government and we have said it over and over that the only way out is PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT THROUGH A UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will produce PARLIAMENTARIANS FROM ALL CONSTITUENCIES all over Nigeria and a PRIME MINISTER from the winning party!

This is what had been suggested but the politicians believe that they will not have sufficient avenues to steal so they continued to amend an unamendable military constitution and voting billions of naira every tenure while such amendments were thrown into the dustbin by consecutive presidents!
Whither shall we go from here? This is a question that needs Divine INTERVENTION!

ICC in Hague must make sure that those two major candidates who have been identified as crooks, rogues and vagabonds BY THEIR OWN HANDLERS must be invited and investigated because Nigeria does not belong to them!
Anything short of this will not be acceptable to Nigerians!
A legal luminary once suggested that there should be AN INTERIM GOVERNMENT FROM 25TH FEBRUARY 2023, to sort the entire matter of RESTRUCTURING out once and for all!
We cannot rule out this suggestion completely but even at that it has to be done through REFERENDUM!

They still want to conduct fresh elections with a battered 1999 military constitution so that they can still RIG AS USUAL AND REMAIN IN OFFICE! God forbid!

All dishonorable, desperate, despicable, recycled and spent political jobbers from Nigeria have besieged this honorable institution (on invitation?), to destroy its century-old very outstanding, sterling, impeccable and unrivalled image!

Has Chatham suddenly forgotten Nigeria's unpalatable history from the colonial era till independence and post-independence military aberration and all negative International indexes in respect of this so-called giant of Africa?

Is Nigeria truly an independent, sovereign nation of positive international repute among the commonwealth comity of Nations of the world any longer?

Is Nigeria still not an appendage of foreign authorities and foreign powers even at 62 years of freedom from colonial slavery?

Why are Nigerian politicians so, so shameless? Since the dates for the unpopular 2023 General Elections were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), more than a year ago, the die-hard and addicted politicians have all been put into frenzy running from pillar to post in order to have a bite of a NATIONAL CAKE that no longer existed!

Is it true that the very fanatical, inordinate ambitious, mostly disreputable politicians frantically lobbied Chatham House for INVITATIONS?

From all indications, the Nigerian presidential money-bags; Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso etc, “are money-miss-road” co-travellers who were in London only to pollute the social order of the United Kingdom’s bastion of democracy but have woefully failed!

While they were gallivanting and dramatizing in London amidst hoards of PROTESTERS, dynamites, explosives and gunshots reverberated across-the-length and breadth of Nigeria as party THUGS killed and maimed percieved members of the opposition and innocent citizens!

Between 1st to 20th January 2023, not less than 508 people were killed across Nigeria in election-related atrocities according to the Vanguard and Guardian newspapers publications and that citizens were at the mercy of kidnappers!

The Second Peace Accord initiated and sponsored by retired Major General Abdusalam Abubakar could not come to fruition because of accusations and counter-accusations by various stake holders. In all of these commotions Major General President Muhammadu Buhari is so flabbergasted just like all the LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS – policemen, soldiers et all, who are definitely handicapped and overstretched.

The question is how will Buhari hold free, fair, credible, acceptable and honorable Elections between February and March 2023 in the midst of these chaotic situation?

1) ‘Bola Tinubu: He snubbed Town Hall Meetings organised by a consortium of eminent Nigerian Journalists and junketed to hold a COMEDY AT CHATHAM HOUSE where he shared questions to a retinue of his lackeys! He denied all allegations of certificate forgery and drugs involvement in the USA but said he would build on BUHARI’S LEGACIES – which? Maybe of cluelessness and ineptitude!
2) PETER OBI: For the umpteenth time said he would divert Nigeria’s economy from CONSUMPTION to PRODUCTION! He said he was not corrupt in spite of the Panama Papers allegations that he had monies in millions of dollars stashed away from public eye on the private Island!
3) ATIKU ABUBAKAR: “I am the most qualified to be President of Nigeria! I will PRIVATIZE all critical assets – especially NNPCL and make MY FRIENDS RICH!
4) RABIU KWANKWASO: I am a Ph.D holder and not a Trader!

THE SOLUTION TO NIGERIA’S POLITICAL IMBROGLIO IS NOT HIDDEN IN HEAVEN!
If the old general could just wake up and muster the courage to call for a REFERENDUM to enact a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will pave way for parliamentary elections and produce PARLIAMENTARIANS AND A PRIME MINISTER to douse all insecurity challenges of the last 22 years of the nation’s nascent democracy!

Electioneering campaigns of re-cycled political jobbers who are jostling for fresh elective offices in Nigeria are in top gear as the jamboree trains moved from one geo-political zone to another with fanfares dancing, rejoicings and felicitations as if all is well!
And whereas, all is not well at all!

1) Nigeria under this present administration of the old general Muhammadu Buhari has neither socio-economic foundation nor political structure/stature!

2) Buhari with his acceptable political clout of both “the Deliverer cum Messiah” in 2015, was expected to have changed the political scenario by introducing a UNICAMERAL LEGISLATURE STRUCTURE immediately on assumption of office most especially when the duo of ‘Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara turned out to be turn-coats!

3) There was public outcry against the Senate and the House of Representatives members who turned out to be prodigal children involved in a lot of official wastages through overblotted salaries/allowances, purchases of foreign exotic vehicles etc. They also perpetrated official corruption through oversight functions, budget padding and all manner of legislative abuses: and now they are back for business as usual dancing “BUGA” to show that they were above the Nigerian laws and the bogus military Constitution!

4) President Buhari's ineptitude in office manifested right from day one at the Eagle Square Abuja when he announced loud and clear: “I am for everybody and I am for nobody.” That stance made him become odious to good administration and even when a West African neighbour like the Senegalese President shut down his Senate in order to shore up very scarce funds to succour the poor masses, Buhari turned deaf ears to the yearnings of the TALAKAWAS (poorest of the poor), whom he swore during his very desperate political campaigns from 2003-2015; and further in 2019 that he would defend with his last drop of blood! While Senegal has remained at peace, Nigeria boiled with fire and brimstones from internal insurgency, Boko Haram terrorism (now in the 14th year), brigandage, banditry, and massive bloodshed – especially when another round of elections WITH THE SAME OLD BOGUS MILITARY CONSTITUTION IS STILL IN PLACE!

5) Nigeria is DEBT-RIDDEN AND TOTALLY BROKE! The sum of ₦355billion naira allocated to the independent national Electoral Commission INEC is “GBESE” (borrowed money), and Mr. President and his cohorts shamelessly say that THE LENDERS SHOULD KEEP OFF THE FEBRUARY/MARCH 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS!

NIGERIA IS THE WORLD BORROWING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!

Aside from the sub-saharan and West African neighbours of Ghana Senegal, Mali, Chad, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia e t c, Nigeria has borrowed money from virtually every country and financial institution of the world and its DEBT (DEATH CERTIFICATE AND PORTFOLIO), has climaxed over ₦71 trillion Naira inclusive of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN’s), WAYS AND MEANS illegal transaction which is still causing some ripples in the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY!

QUESTIONS:

1) Why would Nigerian FOREIGN LENDERS not have interest in the nations general elections?

2) Why would they not put their mouth where their money is,?

3) Why would they not be interested in who becomes the next leader from 29th May 2023?

4) What are the causes of insecurity and cross border crimes?

5) Why should monies be borrowed to PAY SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES FOR POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS AND BY EXTENSION TO SECURITY OPERATIVES?

6) Why should at least 40 local government areas in northeast/northwest still be under terrorist control and yet Mr. President and his kitchen cabinet are still beating their chests and boasting that elections would be held without let or hindrance in such places?

7) Why are the politicians sceptical of the conduct of a free, fair, transparent and credible conduct of the 2023 elections and are calling for postponements by giving insecurity reasons?

The politicians have the answers to all of the above questions. They know that with the introduction of a parliamentary system of government, all the fears expressed will vanish permanently!

BUT THE OLD GENERAL STILL BELIEVED HE POSSESSED THE CLOUT OF A MILITARY DICTATOR BY WARNING FOREIGN COUNTRIES TO KEEP AWAY FROM MEDDLING WITH THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS!

While receiving Letters of Credence from Ambassadors of Switzerland, Sweden, Republic of Ireland, the Kingdom of Thailand the Republic of Senegal and the Republic of South Sudan at the State House, Abuja on Thursday 12th January 2023.
Buhari also told the envoys to stay within limits and not seek to influence the country's elections. He called for cooperation and collaboration from the countries to overcome challenges in West Africa.

Earlier he said Nigeria was working closely with ECOWAS to deal with insecurity in the West African Region as well as implementing strategies to contain the spate of unconstitutional changes in government.

He however invited friendly countries to: “support efforts to address the problem of insecurity, fight against corruption, diversification of the economy and our efforts in promoting good governance.”
“I urge you to be guided by diplomatic practice to ensure that your activities remain within the limits of your profession as you monitor the build-up to the elections and the conduct of the General election itself.

“ I wish you all success in your respective roles of duty and at the same time encourage you to take time to enjoy the unique nature and culture at your disposal as you travel across our country.”

Nigeria has not only ECOWAS to contend with; what about the bilateral relations and agreements with other international bodies, countries and institutions?
For instance Nigeria could hardly close its borders for just one year in order to salvage whatever was left of Nigeria's internally generated revenues from agriculture and other social economic activities of mining, tourism, music, entertainment and even the SMSEs which should normally serve as the industrial backbone of the nation’s economy.

The pressures from ECOWAS was so enormous that Buhari had to yield ground even though he thought he could emulate CHINA! The result of his chickening out coupled with bad ECONOMIC TEAMS is what is being witnessed today!

We are now a nation for free-for-all marketing enterprise where even the very cunning, pretentious portfolio invaders and investors were having field day with the connivance of some unrighteous politicians at the expense of Nigeria's economy and ripping off free monies without remitting legitimate dues in all business transactions including payment of custom/excise duties to Nigerian authorities in cases of import and export or manufacturing!

SINCE 1999 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN NIGERIA HAD ALWAYS BEEN A DO-OR-DIE AFFAIR!

It will take Nigeria as a nation over 40 years to exit its foreign and domestic loans which previous and present administrations covetously acquired to spite the faces of almost 200 million poverty-stricken citizens to whom dividends of democracy will remain a mirage without divine intervention!

According to the Debt Management Office (DMO), Nigeria’s debt profile was NGN44 trillion naira as at January 2023, and with the addition of “ways and means' CBN’s printed paper currencies debt balance of NGN 22.7 trillion will rise to above NGN 71 trillion naira by the time the old General departs office on 29th May 2023!

Disbursement of foreign or local loans according to international best practice should be targeted towards Education, Agriculture, Health, Tourism, Entertainment, infrastructural development to build strong institutions, strengthening of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs), sustaining formidable industrial production instead of indulging in mass consumption of finished products of other nations and ensuring that all citizens are profitably engaged to support the economy.

But from 1999 to date beginning with Obasanjo and the host of them, late Umaru Yar’adua, Goodluck Jonathan and now retired Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, were only disposed to concurrent expenditures of payment of monthly salaries/allowances, doling financial bail-out to indigent States with BORROWED MONEY and also subsidizing petroleum products which President Buhari himself described as fraudulent before and when he eventually assumed office – and which he had failed to remove in Eight Years!

WE HAVE BEEN BORROWING TO FUND PETROL SUBSIDY SAYS FINANCE MINISTER!

At the public presentation of details of the 2023 Budget, Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed said government had been borrowing to fund fuel subsidy. She also said that petrol subsidy would remain up to mid 2023, the 18-month extension announced early in the year 2022 and that ₦3.36 trillion had been provided for the PMS subsidy up to June 2023.

As for APC presidential candidate ‘Bola Tinubu, “the fuel subsidy regime must end if he were elected as president”. He said subsidy was anti-poor and it must go.
But for ‘Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman for Buhari, his principal could not remove the subsidy in his two terms because he had to contend with the Labour Unions and the people who were ready to create uproar; therefore government had to weigh its options because of the social consequences.
The conclusion of this discourse is that the entire eight-year of Buhari in office as President of Nigeria was totally fraudulent and should be probed for aiding and abetting financial crimes!

THE EIGHT AND FINAL 2023 DEFICIT BUDGET OF BUHARI IS ANOTHER ABOMINABLE DOCUMENT OF NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT!

*Debt Service is ₦6.5trillion naira. It is ₦29% of total expenditure and attracts an interest payment of ₦1.2trillion naira on “Ways and Means”.
*Capital Expenditure: ₦6.46 trillion naira which is 30% of total expenditure.
*Recurrent (non-debt) expenditure - ₦8.3 trillion naira.
*Statutory Transfer- ₦967.4 billion naira.

ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE PADDING BY HEARTLESS LAWMAKERS!

The deficit 2023 budget was increased from ₦20.5 trillion as presented to the National Assembly by Major General Muhammadu Buhari in October 2022, to ₦21.8 trillion, an increase of over ₦1.3 trillion naira!
The legislators also increased the Oil benchmark price from $70 to $75 in order to reflect the current international market values while daily Oil production was put at 1.69 million (bpd) barrel per day while exchange rate was pegged at ₦435 naira per dollar, in spite of noticeable hyper-inflation on goods and services not excluding Food Inflation/Insecurity!

The 2022 budget implementation was also extended to March 2023 for ongoing projects to be completed. But it is certain that in an election year when massive campaigns were taking place in all the six geo-political zones, all projects would be at a standstill.

But for certainty all unspent monies would definitely go into private pockets as planned instead of being returned into THE TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT (TSA)!

Buhari noted at the signing ceremony of 3rd January 2023, that the National Assembly had padded the budget as usual by injecting new and additional revenues to the tune of NGN765.79 billion and an unfunded deficit of NGN 553.46 billion, but still went ahead to sign the debt-ridden document!
He noted that the National Assembly introduced new projects into the 2023 budget proposal for which it had appropriated NGN770.72 billion. The Legislators also increased the provisions made by Ministries Departments and Agencies by NGN58.55 billion naira!

Buhari’s reason of assent to the FORGED DEFICIT DOCUMENT was officially premised on avoidance of DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION; but on the other hand the outgoing General subtly reminded the THIEVING LEGISLATORS to approve the securitisation of the “WAYS AND MEANS” balance of ₦22.7 trillion naira in order to avoid paying another interest of about ₦1.8 trillion in 2023, and also to convert the Central Bank of Nigeria overdrafts to his administration long time bonds.
According to newspaper report in December 2022, President Buhari in a letter sought approval to turn the ₦22.7trillion naira or USD$53 billion dollars worth of the Central Bank loans to government; to a 40-YEAR-BOND AT 9% INTEREST INCLUDING AN EXTRA ONE TRILLION NAIRA LOAN TO THE GOVERNMENT FROM THE BANK!

THE BUDGET BREAKDOWN!

*BUDGET DEFICIT: ₦11.34 TRILLION NAIRA – representing 5.03% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is an indictment on the already battered economy; it is also to be financed from BORROWINGS!
*REVENUE. Total Revenue is at ₦10.49 trillion naira which includes the gross revenues of 63 government-owned enterprises totaling ₦3.87 trillion.
Federal Government Revenue share is projected at ₦2.29, Non-Oil taxes are estimated at ₦2.43 trillion and Federal Government’s Independent revenues are projected to by ₦2.62 trillion naira. Other revenues total ₦7.62 billion naira.
In aggregate, 22% are projected revenues expected from Oil-related sources while 78% is to be earned from non-oil resources. The non-oil sector had always carried the larger burden of annual budgets even though CRUDE OIL is the petrol dollar earner!

EXPENDITURES: Fresh borrowing to be sourced from the Apex Bank to fund projects according to fillers from the National assembly. Loan servicing is higher than Internally Generated Revenues – an indication that there was virtually nothing on ground to meet SOCIAL INTERVENTION PROJECTS (allocated a paltry – (to-be-borrowed), ₦4.005billion), as highlighted to deceive the TALAKAWAS!
BONA FIDE CITIZENS OF NIGERIA WILL NOT KEEP QUIET! THEY WILL FIGHT FOR THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS!
Buhari and his cabal may think they have succeeded to desecrate Nigeria and would get away with their illicit gains – the answer is NO!

TWENTY-FOUR consecutive years of fiscal mismanagement of the Nigerian Economy by both military/political merchants at the seat of power have resulted to the printing of naira currencies termed (“Ways and Means Advances”), to cushion shortfalls and inadequacies in annual budget expenditures.

But in actual fact did the “scheme” bail out Nigeria out of fiscal doldrums? Of course no! From 1997 when the scheme was introduced by the military the economy nose-dived into a Banana Republic scenario! Ex-president Ebele Jonathan passed the baton to Uncle Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and at as the last count, the sum of NGN23.7 trillion naira had been collected from the official printer/collaborator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)! The abused scheme has now become an albatross to the outgoing Major General Muhammadu Buhari, who desperately wanted Senate approval to RESTRUCTURE its repayment.
Balance of the humongous debt of Ways and Means as at 19th December, 2022, was NGN22.7trillion. When Uganda’s late military Head of State, Idi Amin Dada’s government in indulged in the scheme, the nation’s currencies became worthless and was described among global economy stake holders as “mere toilet tissue papers”

FG TO REPAY NGN20 TRILLION “WAYS AND MEANS” LOAN WITH TREASURY BILLS.

In October 2022, Zainab Ahmed minister of finance budget and national planning in Abuja while giving a breakdown of the 2023 appropriation bill told Nigerians that the Federal Government had borrowed from the CBN through ways and means to meet short falls in fiscal expenditure.

She also said President Major General Muhammadu Buhari approved the securitisation of the NGN20 trillion debt.
But in a letter read at plenary on Wednesday 28th December 2022, the President mentioned a figure of NGN23.7trillion as the total amount secured from the apex Bank in the last 10 years and requested that the securitization to cover a period of 40 YEARS with a Moratorium on principal repayment, three years; and Pricing interest rate at 9%!

A Supplementary Budget of NGN819.5billion was also submitted to be passed alongside the NGN.20.51 trillion 2023 Appropriation Bill.
attention was given to the request by the President’s National Assembly surrogate, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, who ensured a second reading with specific order for the Committee on Finance to expedite action on it!

But some Senators have faulted the un-orthodox, illegal and very suspicious transaction which they described as “unknown to the Nigerian law” and urged the House to step it down until lawmakers got more details on whether the expenditure complied with Sections 80, 81, 83, 113(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended and Section 38 of the CBN Act.

In summary, the various sections provided that all revenues and monies raised or received by the Federation…… shall be paid into and form one consolidated revenue…..from which no money shall be withdrawn….. except authorised by an appropriation, supplementary, or an Act of the National Assembly.

Senator George Sekibo (PDP Rivers East), who was the arrowhead of the opposition to the President’s request insisted that Section 38 of the CBN Act stipulated that “ways and means” advances MUST be refunded before another could be collected and that since the law was already breached, the request must be denied!

SENATE APPROVED NGN819 BILLION TO BE EXCISED FROM NGN1 TRILLION NAIRA WAYS AND MEANS TO FUND 2022 SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET!
DOCTRINE OF WAYS AND MEANS!

The doctrine of “Ways and Means” is the most unorthodox process to destroying the economy of any nation that is in dire straits of funding its annual budgets from internally generated revenues.
They are loans or advances by the CBN to the Federal Government to enable it to cater for short-term emergency finance to fund delayed receipt of fiscal deficits.

AHMED LAWAN: SENATE PRESIDENT BOWED TO PRESSURE TO STEP DOWN THE EXECUTIVE BILL!
“We have stood down the consideration of the ways and means restructure. We did so as a body because we didn't get the kind of information that we considered necessary as important for us to take a major decision as this without any let or hindrance.
“We have set up a special committee headed by the Senate Leader and in the membership you have the Committees of Finance, Appropriation, Foreign and Local Debt and Banking to collect all the necessary information.
“And I want to use this opportunity to urge the Executive arm of government especially those agencies that will be invited to appear before these Special Committees to cooperate by bringing the right kind of information that we need to be guided properly.

Senate on Wednesday 28th December 2022, passed the 2023 national budget of NGN21.8trillion and for the fourth consecutive time since 2019, maintained the January to December Budget cycle.
It also on the request of the executive approved an extension of the expiration clause of both the 2022 Appropriation Act and the Supplementary Budget to the 31st March 2023 to allow for full capital releases as contained in the two appropriations.

What this move portends is another door of institutional corruption for the Executive to mop and divert all unspent funds to private pockets instead of RETIRING SUCH MONIES INTO THE TREASURY SINGLE ACCOUNT (TSA)!

However, the Senate leader Ibrahim Gobir supported the clandestine move by stating as follows: “In view of the critical importance of some key projects nearing completion, it is expected to grant the extension of the expiration clause to avoid compounding the problems of abandoned projects, given that some of the projects were not provided for in the 2023 budget.”
The Senate has adjourned to January 17 2023.

NIGERIANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW THAT THE PRINTED MONIES WERE USED: 1. TO PAY SALARIES; 2. TO BAIL OUT STATES THAT ARE BROKE; AND 3. TO WHET THE APPETITE OF THE EXECUTIVE IN CONCURRENT EXPENDITURES OF ALLOWANCES/ESTACODES THAT MUST NOT FAIL!

The following consequences of money printing and excessive borrowing for frivolities:1. Hyper-inflation on cost of living; 2. Abject poverty, 3. Food insecurity, 4. Inflation on goods and services etc.
Must Nigeria continue in PRODIGALITY while the CITIZENS are dying of HUNGER? We need a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT to bail us out from the clutches of this predators who are pretending to be leaders of this nation!

Senior advocate of Nigeria ‘Femi Falana sounded like a broken record when he said that criminal elements involved in various activities across the country generally operated without any challenge from security forces!
It is common knowledge among the populace that criminals of all genres (Boko Haram /IPOB terrorists , Fulani killer herdsmen, kidnappers, gunmen, bandits, assassins, murderers), rapists etc, move freely without let or hindrance – and always left in their trail – bloodshed of human causalities, pains, sorrow, anguish etc. and disappear into thin air without apprehension, without trace… without trial! The erudite lawyer and human rights activist expressed fear that unless the security forces were prepared to deal with the anti-democratic forces that were currently disrupting the democratic process, the 2023 general elections might be sabotaged to the detriment of democracy and political stability in the country.

In a recent statement titled: “Halt Official Sabotage of 2023 General Elections”, Chief Falana vehemently complained that the violent attacks being carried out by suspected arsonists posed serious security threats to the impending election!

ONE ATTACK TOO MANY!

Not less than nine Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), regional offices had been , vandalized and torched within the last five months in Imo, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Anambra, Ogun and Osun States!
Chief Falana condemned the continuous attacks on INEC Offices and lamented over election and logistic materials worth millions of naira which were destroyed with malicious intent.
In spite of the assurance and promises by INEC that they would still be able to conduct the 2023 elections in spite of the orchestrated attacks, Chief Falana opined that security forces should live up to expectations and intensify their operations to ensure free, fair, transparent and credible elections in the new year!
HOWEVER in one isolated incident in Imo State, three bandits were neutralized, two captured alive while two policemen seated in a van close to the INEC office lost their lives, there had been no arrest of any attacker by police operatives!

THE POLICEMAN’S MODUS OPERANDI IS “I FIRST, OTHERS LAST”!

In these perilous times of desperate politicians who have access to all manner of sophisticated weapons with which they kit their thugs, law enforcement agents have become wiser to first and foremost defend their own lives before attempting to attend to vulnerable and innocent citizens of their country whom they were constitutionally bound to protect!
In many cases of violent attacks on people in their homes on public highways, city centers or remote villages, the vandals always got away because no amount of desperate “save our souls” outbursts would empathize them to move their muscles until the dare-devils must have had a field day!
And whereas, Section 14 (1)(2)(a)(b)(c) Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria states as follows: (I) The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall be a State based on the principles of democracy and social justice.
(2) It is hereby, accordingly, declared that:
(a) Sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through this Constitution all its powers and authority.
(b) The security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government: and
(c) The participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.

SECURITY OPERATIVES IN NIGERIA SAY THEY DO NOT POSSESS INVINCIBLE PROTECTION JACKETS!

In any event of a security breach that threatens lives and properties, Nigerian citizens have been advised to dial the emergency toll-free number 112 for quick redress through an intermediary RECEPTIONIST whose only duty was to transfer such desperate matter-of-life-and-death requests to “relevant authorities” that might never RESPOND!

FORTY (40) LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS UNDER TERRORISTS JURISDICTION!

When Major General President Muhammadu Buhari took up the mantle of leadership in 2015, SEVENTEEN Local Government Areas were said to be under the authority of BOKO HARAM terrorists and now at his departure lounge, the terrorists now have more local government areas under their jurisdiction: 17-40!
Chief ‘Femi Falana also confirmed in a television interview that he had reliable information that the Terrorists were in control over 40 out of 774 LGAs in both North East and West of the country and wondered how elections would be held in those regions?
The ruling party’s Three-prong Manifesto was to fight corruption to a stand still, confront and defeat Boko Haram terrorists including all crimes and criminalities, overcome them and also get the economy on good footing to make Nigeria one of the 20 most successful economies of the world by the year 2020!
The Major General will be out next year 29th May 2023 - just about five months and yet Nigerians are not even sure whether the elections would be postponed like in 2015 and 2019 respectively or that the very much desired REFERENDUM for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will produce PARLIAMENTARIANS AND A PRIME MINISTER IN THE YEAR 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS would be entrenched!
INSECURITY HAS BECOME SYNONYMOUS WITH THE NIGERIAN STATE THAT PEACE COULD NO LONGER BE VOUCHSAFED AT ANY GIVEN PERIOD!

APPEAL TO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE FOR CHANGE OF ATTITUDE.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, escaped imprisonment by the whiskers the other time for contempt of Court Orders but this time around he is already guilty as charged in the Court of Public Opinion for TOTAL DERELICTION OF DUTY in view of the avalanche of crimes and criminalities that have deluged the nation and should spend the rest of his tenure in prison!

From his assumption of office on 6th April, 2021 to date there had been an escalation or criminal activities across the length and breadth of the nation but in a sudden U-TURN on Thursday 15th December the Inspector General Police announced that the Nigeria Police had rescued 865 kidnapped victims and arrested 383 suspects between January and November 2022.
He made this disclosure during a meeting in Abuja with strategic police managers from the rank of commissioners and above adding that 923 armed robbery suspects 335 murder suspects and 473 suspected cultists were also arrested in the same period mentioned earlier according to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report!

38 KADUNA INNOCENT VILLAGERS MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD ON SUNDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2022!

Bandits were reported to have invaded some communities in Southern Kaduna on Sunday night and killed 38 people, burnt down over 162 houses and 20 motorcycles in a situation described as very inhuman and most despicable!
The Police is investigating the immediate and remote causes of the attack which was said to have been carried out by about 100 bandits who rode of motorbikes to the various communities affected!

Where did these criminals emerge from?

Nigerian governments since independence were quick to deny international negative reports or assessments especially those that border on human rights abuses, institutional corruption, insecurity, terrorism, economy, poverty etc!

Reuters News Agency on 7th December, 2022, published an indicting report titled: “THE ABORTION ASSAULT” [Nigerian Military ran secret mass abortion programme in war against Boko Haram], in the country’s North East Borno State!
The story was promptly denied and dismissed by both the Military and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), with a wave of the hand!

The thrust of the report was the allegation of an ongoing and systematic termination of pregnancies of liberated women from the Boko Haram Terrorists captivity without their consent by a hatchet top secret medical team of the 7 Division Nigerian Army stationed at the main theatre of war in Maiduguri!

It was alleged in Reuters very detailed investigative report that the military had surreptitiously and persistently conducted induced forced abortions on the unfortunate young women who were victims of abductions and rape by the insurgents and terrorists in the past nine years - 2013-2022!

The detailed story by this foreign media also claimed that not less than 10,000 girls and women in their teens and twenties were clandestinely administered with mysterious injections and pills which aborted the unborn babies without their permission or consent and forbidden to disclose their ordeal to anyone!
Reuters whose reporters were on ground in Nigeria claimed that its investigation was based on interviews with 33 women and girls who said they underwent abortions while in the custody of the Nigerian army while just one woman said she freely gave her consent.

Reporters also interviewed five civilian health care workers and nine security personnel involved in the program, including soldiers and other government employees such as armed guards engaged in escorting pregnant women to abortion sites.

To prevent and nip in the bud such unsavoury catastrophe, urgent steps should be taken to counter its occurrence in spite of the fact that cradle lives were involved just like Egypt’s Pharoah Seti II, ordered the murder of male Hebrew infants to prevent increase of migrant Israeli able-bodied men of war from supporting invaders to overthrow his kingdom! THE CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF HAS MADE A U-TURN!

On Friday 16th December 2022, Chief of Defence Staff, General Irabor, made a U-Turn and requested Nigerian Human Rights Commission (NHRC), to probe Reuters report on secret abortion to prevent Boko Haram children from stepping into their parents' shoes in future following public outcry and outrage over his earlier denial!
The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres had also called on the Nigerian Government to investigate the allegation which Buhari's spokesman Lai Mohammed and General Irabor, had earlier described as evil!

The Chief of Defence Staff paid a visit to NHRC Headquarters in Abuja, and said that the leadership of the Nigerian military welcomed an independent and thorough probe of the allegations by a neutral organisation.
He also said being an institution that is guided by law; “We deem it fit to call on the Nigerian Human Rights Commission to investigate the allegations with a view to getting to the bottom of the issues raised.”
His visit was to formally assure the Executive Secretary of the NHRC and his management team that their doors would be open for them to conduct a thorough investigation.

He also promised that his officers would be available to answer their questions and that they would be granted unfettered access to all military establishments not only in the Northeast but across the country.

General Irabor claimed that the Nigeria Army had always adhered to the tenets of international humanitarian laws and had also abided by their professional ethical codes together with the Military Standard Operation Procedures in all their activities across the country. He was assured by the executive secretary that his commission was already poised to investigate Reuters allegations because of the human rights implications and added that the commission would soon announce further steps in the near future towards the constitution of a Panel of Investigation into the Reuters report.

We will not pre-empt outcome of the impending INDEPENDENT investigation but will request that evidences should neither be destroyed nor victims harassed into silence! He that should come to equity MUST come with clean hands!

If only the dead could speak from the grave, late Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice John Idowu Conrad Taylor, would have frowned at the attitude of incumbent Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola for frolicking with politicians both at the Federal and State levels since his investiture at the State House, Abuja on Wednesday 12th October, 2022!

On assumption of office as substantive Chief Justice, having been sworn in by Major General President Muhammadu Buhari and conferred with the second highest National honour of Grand Commander Order of the Niger (GCON), than the 68-year-old jurist began socialising and revelling with governors, political office holders, business moguls, movers and shakers of policies at the corridors of power!

From Oyo to Rivers State the red carpets were rolled out to treat him to sumptuous receptions and parties where glowing tributes and encomiums were lavishly showered on him!
The Rivers State Governor in particular got him to spend two days of banqueting and commissioning of Judicial Projects.

While in Port Harcourt, the CJN was reported to have said that he was happy that Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of his home State, (Oyo), was part of the G5 Integrity Group of five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governors who were at loggerheads with their party’s National Executives!

Already, the Coalition of Civil Society Groups for Transparency and Good Governance has called for his resignation over this comment which was construed as “double standard” in respect of his exalted office and as regards “ethno-religious affiliations”.

They insisted that the CJN should not continue in that position having presented himself as an active player in a particular team.

It should be recalled that the CJN’s appointment came on the heels of a damnable leaked petition (bothering on Judges Welfare), by 14 Justices of the Supreme Court against his predecessor in office, C. J. Tanko Mohammad, who eventually retired voluntarily on health grounds! Ariwoola was the most senior in rank to the retired Justice.

The following true story was told of the late Justice J. I. C. Taylor who was the Chief Judge of Lagos State during the Military Administration of Nigeria but honourably turned down his governor’s official invitation to a State Dinner on the following grounds: "Lagos State Government has several pending cases before me ….. I find it inappropriate to honour the invitation.”
At his demise the Military Head of State General Yakubu Gowon eulogized him for his sterling qualities.

ARE THERE MORE CORRUPT ELEMENTS IN THE JUDICIARY NOW?

A searchlight into the activities of Nigerian courts revealed dirty, sordid, gruesome manipulation and perversion of the course of justice by corrupt judges. According to an insider a retired President of the Court of Appeal, the Nigerian Judiciary harbours corrupt elements who are politicians and government apologists who attend all manner of social gatherings and frolic even with litigants with pending cases before the High Courts.

“How can judges decide cases against their political parties and people they wine and dine with” queries the insider?
During his first tenure Major General President Buhari in a petition to the judiciary reminded the learned benchers that they should be in the forefront of efforts to develop right-based jurisprudence as an element of the multi-disciplinary approach advocated in the fight against corruption by enforcing applicable laws to avoid delay in ensuring criminal justice administration.

According to the President, corruption cases filed by government were not progressing as they should and in spite of the Criminal Justice Act of 2015, the courts allowed some lawyers to frustrate the reforms introduced by law and called for a change of attitude for a collective action in building a new Nigeria in the face of dwindling Revenue by tackling two ILLS – Waste and Corruption simultaneously.

Justice Ayo Salami, a retired Judge of the Appeal Court during a lecture said that Nigeria needed to sanitize and rid the Judiciary of corrupt elements who were dishonourable people not fit to be judges and senior lawyers but got into the system, made it to the highest level of the judicial career but subsequently frustrated the common man's quest for Justice and equity.

DSS STING OPERATION AGAINST JUDGES FROM 8TH TO 9TH OCTOBER 2016 WAS NOT A SUCCESS!

The well-coordinated search operations by the Directorate of Security Services (DSS), on the homes of suspected High/Supreme Court Judges believed to possess bribe monies and properties illegally acquired was successful but highly condemned by the elites as unprecedented!

Although many of them were arraigned before the courts but were eventually discharged and acquitted with all seized properties/monies allegedly acquired returned with apologies!

CJN Ariwoola may not be as lucky as his predecessors! He has ruffled the BEES NEST, he should expect MANY STINGS!

Nigeria is truly living to its billing as a very lawless country where custodians of the law have become brazen lawbreakers!
Since the barrel of the gun was introduced on 15th January 1966, Nigeria never knew PEACE again!

Consecutive military governments ruled with the iron fist and bequeathed a UNITARY PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM to the country in which effontery for disobedience to lawful orders and impunity at all levels of government became a permanent way of life.
For instance there is no office of First Lady in the 1999 Military Constitution of the Federal Republic but Mrs. Aisha Buhari has been making waves as Nigeria's number one woman with abundant perks and paraphernalia!

There is also no nomenclature like ‘Federal Executive Council' (FEC), in the legal document in question but all governments at the federal level since 1999 held Wednesdays FEC Meetings to award contracts according to their whims and caprices under the watch of the civilians and military Generals!
Consecutive Federal Governments always chose which court orders to obey and which to disobey with impunity!

MAJOR GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI’S SECURITY GENERALS HAVE FOLLOWED SUIT IN DISOBEDIENCE TO COURT ORDERS!

FIRST it was the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdul Rasheed Bawa who was ordered by a Federal High Court in Abuja to be remanded in prison custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre for contempt – disobedience and continued disobedience of the said order!
He failed to carry out the order of the court made on 21st November 2018 to return to an applicant his Range Rover (supercharged) and to pay a fine of NGN40 million to the applicant as damages!

SECOND, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba also flouted the law by refusing to carry out an order to reinstate a forcibly retired police officer and was sentenced on Tuesday 29th November 2022 to three months in prison for disobeying valid court orders by a Federal High Court, Abuja.
According to the report, a police officer Patrick Okoli who claimed he was unlawfully and compulsory retired from the Nigeria Police Force in June 1992, challenged the abnormally at a Bauchi High Court which on February 19, 1994 ordered his reinstatement with all rights and privileges.

But the Police Service Commission (PSC) letter dated 13th October, 2004 which directed the IGP to reinstate the petitioner was disregarded to date! In addition to the sentence the Inspector General of police was ordered to comply with the directive of the Police Service Commission by reinstating the applicant.

The court also ordered the payment of NGN10 million naira to the applicant being special and general damages for the unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional denial of his rights and privileges as a senior officer of the Nigeria Police Force from 1992 to date.
THIRD, on 1st December 2022, a High Court sitting in Minna, Niger State, issued a warrant of arrest and incarceration of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Faruk Yahaya for contempt of court!

The High Court Judge also ordered that the Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna, a Major General be arrested and imprisoned for a similar offence.
Both men would remain in the custody of the Correctional Centre, Minna, until they purge themselves of contempt for disobeying the court order made on 12th October, 2022.
The judge order the arrest of the top Army officers at the resumed hearing of a case between one Adamu Makama and 42 others versus the executive Governor of Niger State and seven others in a suit numbered NSHC/225/2019, which was eventually adjourned to 8th December 2022.

QUESTION: Have the sentenced high-profile persons been arrested and incarcerated according to the law? Of course NO! They are all walking free because they are above the law!
1999 NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION IS A DOCUMENT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION!

Contrary to its constitutional duties of general oversight of all government activities, the Nigerian Press relishes in dishing annual ludicrous “media titles” coined in enticing phrases to non-performing pilfering State Governors, captains of industry, political jobbers, self-acclaimed billionaires, portfolio investors etc, for pecuniary gains!

Some of the titles included, “Best Governor, Senator, Industrialist, Local Government Chairman, etc, of every year, year-on-year!

Chapter II Section 22 of the 1999 Military Constitution states that Press is saddled with the following responsibilities,: The Press, radio, television, and other agencies of the mass media shall at all times be free to uphold the fundamental objectives contained in this Chapter and uphold the responsibility and accountability of the Government to the people.” In other words the Nigerian press is expected to function as the WATCHDOG of the good citizens of this great nation of Nigeria and to report all activities of government, public or private for everyone to rightly conclude whether or not they have delivered on their promises.

Current members of the Nigerian Press should always stand out as an impeccable, the most vibrant, vigilant, brilliant, intelligent, intellectual, sagacious, articulate, dedicated, patriotic, celebral, courageous, and very fearless professionals in the world, because of antecedents bequeathed through engagements who negotiated INDEPENDENCE on a platter of gold!

In history pre/post independence journalist and writers like our first President Nnamdi Azikiwe, Herbert Macaulay, Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro, Peter Enahoro (Peter Pan), Alade Odunewu (Allah De), Peter Osugo, Adamu Ciroma, Olabisi Onabanjo, Babatunde Jose, etc, played significant roles to enshrine, sustain and maintain the independence and sovereignty of the great nation of Nigeria even at the peril of their lives!

It remains an indisputable fact that late Journalist cum Politician, Chief Anthony Enahoro, mooted the call for Nigerian Independence at the London Conference in 1956!
Chapter II Section 39 (1) – (3) (a) and (b) also stipulate other oversight duties of the Press.

IS THE NIGERIAN PRESS ENGAGED IN IS CONSTITUTIONAL DUTIES AT THIS TIME OF THE NATION'S PREDICAMENTS?

Regular journalists took over the centre ; reported political/ government engagements on invitation, collect press releases/ brown envelopes which subsidized paltry salaries by their employers; most times published foreign/fake/hate news that are found in abundance on the internet/social media to fill the gap!

Now that the election fever has gathered momentum, politicians who were ever ready to bribe their ways into political offices in the coming year have engaged unprofessional media men and women to propagate all their lies/ fake news with the view to having an edge over their opponents!

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME FEW MEDIA HOUSES INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM IS ANATHEMA TO THE NIGERIAN MEDIA PRACTITIONER IN THIS 21st CENTURY!

It will be an understatement to assert that the Nigerian/International media have greater responsibility in governance, human rights protection, institutional development, protection of lives and properties and general welfare of the people as general overseers than those who were selected, elected or rigged themselves to run the day-to-day affairs of governance!

In the past 22 years of democratic diarchy in Nigeria, media practitioners only “sidon look” and report rummors or fables!
There is none of them who is not aware that the present “dollar-consuming” naira- wasting 1999 Military Constitution of Nigeria is an abberation forced down the throat of hapless Nigerians who do not have the wherewithal to raise brimstone and fire like in other climes where citizens express very violent attitudes that drove sitting Heads of State into exile!

They would neither investigate nor engage in digging deep to unravel financial leakages/wastages/corruption at all levels of the THREE TIERS – the ANNUAL BUDGET PADDING which Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin provided on a platter of gold! What about the phantom CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS,?

None of them ever bothered to interogate the honorable member of the House of Representatives in 2016 when he exposed the sordid corruption at such a high level of government and confront the efcc for failing to take necessary action to arrest and prosecute the honorable member and all the high-profile ranking members who were accused of the bare-faced robbery of common patrimony to date!

These media practitioners are so distant from grassroot citizens who were always ready to give free information to expose all the ills of a decadent society like Nigeria!
The 13-year-old Boko Haram insurgency which metamorphosed into terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, assasinations, and attacks are the “by-products” of INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION which the Press gave little or no attention to, except to publish PRESS HAND OUTS FROM GOVERNMENT OR THE MILITARY AUTHORITIES!

Outside of general commentaries, the media men/women in spite of the fact that they have many constituted bodies like Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Nigeria Press Council etc. had never pressurised consecutive governments to abbrogate the obnoxious document!
Have they ever collectively suggest and demand for the option of A REFERENDUM for the immediate enactment of a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION that will collapse the unprofitable structure of the executive presidency, governorship at State levels, the legislative and local government administrations to usher a cash-friendly government of PARLIAMENTARIANS from the grassroots who will from among themselves choose a PRIME MINISTER in the 2023 General Elections!

MEDIA TOWN HALL POLITICAL BLABBING OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES!

It is Our candid opinion that majority of Nigerian media practitioners had not been very objective in the conduct of mushroom Village/Town Hall Meetings this far! Some gatherings were allegedly motivated for financial perks!
What is the role of the Press in asking irrelevant and inconsequential questions about the Climate or how to mitigate Annual Flooding from presidential candidates whose mission is to make more money from such strategic projects and cared less whether the citizens swam or sank having been thrown up from very corrupt party primaries?

Were journalidts not supposed to have stopped these IMPOSTORS in the first instance by exposing all of their dirty past through deliberate and authentic investigation that would have given sufficient EVIDENCES TO law enforcement agencies to arrest them and incarcerate them?

Are these practitioners not putting the HORSE BEHIND THE CART NOW?

Mallam Adamu’s lamentation of eight-year - two-term - failure as Nigeria Minister of Education has begun to yield dividends with the recent resuscitation of the exiled subject of History into the basic education curriculums.

History was removed from the primary/secondary school curriculums during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Administration of late President Umaru Yar’Adua in the 2009/2010 academic session but the minister ordered a re-introduction of the subject in 2019.
For the fact that the reason for its removal was still shrouded in mystery, the minister confessed that history used to be one of the foundational subjects taught in the classrooms but for some inexplicable reasons the steam of teaching and learning was abolished.

In a speech at the flag-off ceremony of the re-introduction of the teaching of History on Thursday 24th November, 2022, in Abuja, Adamu also said that history was subsequently expunged from the list of subject combinations which students could offer in both external and internal examinations compared to the subjects that were made compulsory at basic and secondary levels in Nigeria.

The following are excerpts of the minister’s speech as delivered by his representative, Minister of State for Education at the flag-off ceremony:
“This single art no doubt relegated and eroded the knowledge and information that learners could otherwise have been exposed to.
“It was a monumental mistake and we have already started seeing the negative consequences. The loss created by the absence of this subject has led to a fall in moral values, erosion and civic values and disconnect from the past.
“ More worrisome was the neglect of the teaching of this subject at the basic and post-basic levels of education which invariably eroded the knowledge of the evolution of Nigeria as a country,”Adamu further lamented!

I HAVE WOEFULLY FAILED AS MINISTER OF EDUCATION!

Previously on Thursday 3rd November, 2022, Adamu confessed and did not deny but admitted that he was a total disaster to the education sector!

His conscience pricked him so badly especially in the manner he slothfully handled the eight-month-long (14th February – 14th October 2022), ASUU strike which almost robbed innocent tertiary students of a whole academic calendar year - while the dust is yet to settle down in respect of the pro-rata salaries paid to the revered and respected academics in October 2022 as if they were casual labourers!

During the 66th National Council on Education (NCE), held on 3rd November 2022, Abuja, Adamu who claimed to be the longest-serving minister in Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s administration noted that he had not been able to provide solutions to the problems facing the ministry.

He was irked by the increasing number of out-of-school street children of over 13 million including the Academic Staff Union of (Public) Universities prolonged strike as part of his failure BUT he has not RESIGNED because he was determined to make RESTITUTION!

RE-INTRODUCTION CEREMONY/ TRAINING OF HISTORY TEACHERS AT THE BASIC EDUCATION LEVEL FLAGGED OFF ON 24TH NOVEMBER 2022 IN ABUJA.
Vital Information:
1) A total of 3,700 history teachers have been shortlisted for the first- round of training for enhanced teaching of the subject.
2) Focus of the introduction was the training and the re-training of teachers in order to enhance their capacity development which would lead to the mastery of the subject.
3) Teachers will be provided with the requisite skills needed to teach the subject through collaboration of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), which handled pro-rata selection of the 3,700 History teachers from the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for training.
4) UBEC and the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), will work together to equip the new teachers with the necessary skills to teach the subject especially with the modification of its content.

The two-week 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 27 (6th-20th November, 2022), almost deadlocked because of insistence for compensations for climate-induced disasters to developing African/Caribbeans countries whose greenhouse gas emissions was minimal compared to the giant industrial economies!
Sunday 20th November 2022, final plenary eventually witnessed an agreement which gave nod to the demands and commissioning of the Sharm el Sheikh Implementation Plan ( SHIP), for the first time in the annals of the annual global event.

With SHIP now in place disadvantaged countries can draw compensations from the global fund which heavy industrialsed countries will willingly and cheerfully contribute to save lives/infrastructures of affected Nations.

COP 27 stands out as the most successful of all the annual conferences as it also agreed to keep the 1.5C target for global temperature rise intact unlike COP 26, Glasgow, Scotland!
There were also pledges by developed countries to ensure mitigation, adaptation, finance, loss and damage for developing countries. Pledges were made by industrialized nations which included Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Scotland, Canada, France, New Zealand etc.

We want to believe that within the next year before COP 28 will be held, that the highly developed and industrialized nations will take note of all of the above observations and reduce the heavy pollution which they are regularly releasing into the atmosphere!
This is the only way that the world and its people can be saved from extinction! As it is written: Prevention is better than cure! A new poverty virus christened “Multi-dimensional” by Nigeria’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), is currently consuming 63% or 133 million of the over 200 million population – and it is official!

The Breaking News released from the NBS Portal Thursday 17th November 2022, were the results of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), Survey which was a collaborative effort between NBS, the National Social Safety-nets Co-ordinating Office (NASSCO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHDI).

The survey which sampled over 56,000 households across the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was conducted between November 2021 and February 2022 and provides multidimensional poverty estimates at senatorial District level.

Although the polymathic index of the virus exceeded the World Bank’s 2018 projection, the good news is that this brand is not “terminal” by nature even when not less than three of every five rural Nigerian were already “infected”!

In its overview on Nigeria’s economy the global bank in that year believed that although Nigeria made some significant progress in socio-economic terms its human capital development remained weak due to under investment and that it ranked 152 of 157 countries in the world.

The report further stated that if international crude oil price slided below USD $50 dollars, Nigeria would go into recession and that by the year 2030, thirty million Nigerians would become poorest of the poor globally!

In simple deduction, the 30 million figure of the World Bank’s statistics which predicted future poverty Index in 2030, is a far cry to the Federal Government’s Survey astronomical figure of 133 million presently in existence – in the NOW!

BUT WE DISMISSED - OPPOSED THE “OBNOXIOUS” WORLD BANK REPORT AND THE UNITED NATIONS SIMILAR REPORT OF 2016!

In 2016 the United Nations report tagged Common Country Analysis (CCA) adjudged Nigeria as one of the poorest countries in terms of per capita income in the world.
In the year 2017 it was reported that poverty-stricken Nigerians depended mostly on remittances from the diaspora as economic crisis bit harder in the first quarter and also in June 2018 second quarter, Nigeria according to World Poverty Clock (WPC), revealed that the country had about 87 million people living in poverty as against India's 73 million!

The adage which states that every LIE has a terminal date has dawned on all of us who were antagonistic to the accuracy of the various international perception index and will henceforth repent!

Since previous LIES in respect of the state of the Nigerian economy had been exposed, the only option open to a nepotic, tribalistic, die-hard, impunistic, wicked, culpable, complicit and clueless APC Government under the Watch of the Major General Muhammadu Buhari, was to come out CLEAN!

NIGERIA'S PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM IS TOO CHEAP AND TOO CORRUPT!

The outgoing Major General Muhammadu Buhari promised in his desperation for a second term in 2019 that he would tackle poverty and will ensure that 100 million people were taken out of poverty in ten years at the rate of 10 million per annum – and now in 2022, the NBS says 133 million Nigerians are swimming in the ocean of poverty! Who is fooling who?

The National MPI Survey is 0.257 indicating that poor people in Nigeria experience just over one-quarter of all possible deprivations.
Sixty-five per cent of the poor (86 million people) live in the North, while 35% (nearly 47 million), live in the South.
Poverty levels across States vary significantly, with the incidence of multidimensional poverty ranging from a low of 27% in Ondo to a high of 91% in Sokoto.

Over half of the population of Nigeria are multidimensional poor and cook with dung, wood or charcoal, rather than clean energy.
High deprivations are, also apparent nationally in sanitation, time to healthcare, food insecurity, and housing.

Also featured in the MPI Survey are that poorest States which included Sokoto, Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Gombe and Yobe.
Two-thirds (67.5%) of children aged (0-17) are multi-dimensionally poor according to the National MPI and half (51%) of all poor people are children.
Twenty nine per cent (29%), of all school-age children are not attending School while 94% of all out-of-school children are poor. Child poverty reduction is top national policy according to the report.
In general, the incidence of monetary poverty is lower than the incidence of multidimensional poverty across most States.

In Nigeria 40.1% of people are poor according to the 2018- 2019 national poverty monetary line and 63% are multidimensional poor according to the National MPI 2022.

RURAL AND CHILD POVERTY ACROSS GEO-POLITICAL ZONES!

Multidimensional poverty is higher in the rural areas where 72% of the people are poor compared to 42% of people in urban areas.
The highest deprivations are in the indicator of child engagements – where over half of all children lack the intellectual stimulation that is pivotal to early childhood development. Child poverty is prevalent in rural areas with almost 90% of rural children experiencing poverty.

Across the geo-political zones the child MPIshows higher poverty in the North-East and North-West (where 90% of children are poor) and lower poverty in the South East and Southwest (74% and 65.1% respectively).
The incidence of child MPI is above 50% in all states and greater than 95% in Bayelsa, Sokoto, Gombe and Kebbi. Four million Nigerians – 2.1% of the population - live with a child aged 15-17 who is the first generation in that household to have completed primary School!

One attack too many on government strategic infrastructures!
Outside of Correctional Institution and Police Station buildings across Nigeria, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Offices have become targets of arsonists as the 2023 General Elections approach.

Two INEC Office Facilities in Ogun and Osun South West Nigeria were simultaneously attacked and conflagrated early Tuesday 8th November 2022, to disenfranchise 65,699 Nigerians whose Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), were trapped in the Abeokuta inferno!
Nigeria's nascent democracy, a product of 30 years of illegal military occupation has witnessed quadrennial/off season electoral violence and all forms of malpractices from 1999 to date unabated!

The inordinate ambition for political power in the diarchy that should take the blame but consecutive administrations treaded the path of deceit that inadequate strength of security personnel in the Armed Forces, Police and para-military which is overstretched beyond limit was responsible!

According to INEC, there had been 50 attacks on its facilities in 21 States in recent years between February 2019 to date and hardly had anyone being caught, investigated or prosecuted so far!
Other Items destroyed in Abeokuta, Ogun State included 904 ballot boxes 29 voting cubicles, 30 megaphones, 57 election bags and eight electric power generators while only a portion of the Ede’s Office in Osun was burnt down!

A CALL TO NATIONAL DUTY FOR PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN YOUTHS!

Who were the criminal arsonists that attacked the two INEC Facilities?
Indigenous youths who could scale perimeter fences with ease at an unholy hour of 01.40 am when law-abiding citizens were in bed?
Youths with pre-meditated plans who also torched adjoining buildings with BREAD LOAVES heavily soaked in PMS (petrol)!
And who were the eyewitnesses of all the events which details were given with much accuracy?

The Local Youths who should have formed vigilante groups to watch over the facilities as contribution of their civic duties to the nation!
For the umpteenth time, We call on our youths – able-bodied men and women (60%) of the population to take advantage of the 2023 General Elections which will debut with the introduction of electronic BIVAS, the digital device that will capture both photos and fingerprints of all voters on the election dates and authenticate that every vote counted through electronic transmission of Ward Results to INEC Portals.

It is strongly believed that patriotic local youths in all the Local Government Areas of Nigeria can form formidable vigilante groups to monitor and protect all government institutions and buildings within their neighborhoods as their own contribution to national Security without expecting Naira and Kobo from any quarters instead of lending themselves to dubious politicians who do not care about their welfare! IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING!
We are championing and campaigning that there should be no violent agitations but that all patriotic Nigerians, especially the youths, should demand for REFERENDUM that will provide opportunity to vote for the enactment of a unicameral parliamentary constitution through which a PRIME MINISTER will emerge in 2023!
Of the four major political candidates making waves, none of them is fit to govern this country because they all have skeletons in their cupboards!

With a unicameral parliamentary system of government in place the youths will have the opportunity to elect one of their own candidate from the smaller parties or an independent candidate to fill the position of Prime Minister while several of them will become parliamentarians and a new Nigeria of our collective dreams will emerge!

Brain drain in every field of study in Nigeria had been so commonplace since independence in 1960 because the indigenous government could not offer adequate educational facilities needed by the youthful and exuberant population.
In droves Nigerian youths took off to Britain and other European countries to look for greener pastures. As at that period in history, foreign countries encouraged migration to boost their workforce and they had no reason to travel through the Sahara Desert or Libya, neither flaunt illegal papers nor travel documents as originals to get to their various destinations.
Visa was generously issued to all who would rather go to other countries and develop hosts economies to the detriment of their own native lands.


MIGRATION FROM NIGERIA TO OTHER COUNTRIES EVENTUALLY TOOK DESPERATE DIMENSIONS!

Following the military interregnum from 1966-1979, Biafra War, July 1967-Jan. 1970, migration of youths from Nigeria took fearful dimension to escape the bloody, cruel, gruesome and very devastating atrocities that accompanied the calamities!
In addition, maladministration coupled with gross mismanagement of the economy, abuse of power and institutional endemic corruption became the hallmark of the Military which had no qualms about the most unfortunate plight of the citizenry!
Thousands of thousands of the desperate youths still departed the shores of Nigeria especially when the twin evil of tribalism and religion were surreptitiously introduced to aggravate conflicts through persecution and deprivation/violations of fundamental human rights by pseudo administrators in government!
As at June 2022, there were about fifteen to twenty million Nigerians domicile in the UK, USA, and South Africa.

ADVANTAGES OF DIASPORA REMITTANCES!

Diaspora remittances had always represented a buffer zone to Nigeria's economy whenever it is at its lowest ebb. At all times since independence these monetary transactions had provided the basic amenities which government at all levels failed to supply the Citizens.
Diaspora Nigerians in the year 2012, contributed a whooping sum of USD$12 billion dollars, to the Nigerian economy, annual revenue more than those of 34 States put together! Annual remmitance is pegged at USD$25billion.
However not all those who migrated to foreign countries were good ambassadors of their native lands. Some of them did drugs and committed nefarious crimes but were always fished out to be lawfully punished because of the well-established institutions of law enforcement in those countries.
But all over the world patriotic Nigerian migrants have distinguished themselves and made the country very proud as established professionals in medicine, engineering, science and politics.


NIGERIAN-AMERICANS THAT HAVE MADE NIGERIA PROUD!

In the recently concluded Tuesday 8th November 2022 Midterm elections in the United States of America, eight Nigerian-Americans were re-elected to serve to the end of the first four-year-term of President Joe Biden.
According to the Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC), list release the Nigerian Americans have won legislative seats in the United States midterm elections.
They won seats in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and the District of Columbia DC.
The Federal Government of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari have congratulated the politicians on their successes.


THERE IS NOW AN URGENT NEED FOR DIASPORA VOTING!

Diaspora voting was deliberately opposed by past Nigerian administrations because of the sophistication of the Nigerian- Americans and their counterparts across the world who have been exposed to modern art of digital and electronic voting and who could easily influence innovations that would permanently stop electoral malpractices in their native land.

At this very time of the downturn of Nigeria's economy with a deficit 2022 Budget that cannot even fund Capital projects but can only pay salaries and allowances with borrowed funds from other nations, the Federal Government needs the assistance and expertise of Diaspora Nigerians.



NNPCL AND THE OIL THIEVES!

Oil theft had been another misnomer which has robbed Nigeria from enjoying the windfall which resulted from the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in almost nine months or that Nigerians are not being told the whole truth about the daily liftings and the gains that accrued to the nation in the export of crude oil business.
Recently Mr. President/Minister of Petroleum and all his lieutenants in the Oil and Gas industry have all agreed that subsidy on petroleum products, which has run into over NGN2.8 trillion Naira between Feburary2021- June2022, a period of 17 months is the greatest fraud of the century between NNPC marketers and their contractors.

Another trending story is that an illegal connecting line of crude oil from export terminal into high Sea had been discovered by NNPCL after nine years of the bare-faced robbery of the only national asset that fetched foreign exchange earnings!
Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), in the month of October 2022, disclosed that an illegal oil pipeline connecting directly to the Sea was recently discovered!

He told the Nigerian Senate that the four-kilometre or 2.5-mile connection from the Forcados Export Terminals which typically exported around 250,000 barrels per day of oil into the Sea was discovered during a clampdown on oil theft operations!
According to him oil theft in the country has been going on for over 22 years but the dimension and the rate it has assumed in recent times was unprecedented.
He assured the lawmakers that his agency in collaboration with relevant security agencies had clamped down on the economic saboteurs and within a period of six weeks: 395 illegal refineries were deactivated, 274 reservoirs destroyed, 1561 metal tanks destroyed and 49 trucks seized!
He said oil thieves usually tapped land-based pipelines to siphon oil undetected but that an illegal line in the ocean was unusual and suggested a more sophisticated theft operation!
Diaspora economic power brokers must be encouraged to still support government at this crucial time of national debt embarrassment; the law makers needed to harvest their expertise in the Oil and Gas industry and to encourage them to invest in the coming years by ensuring that Diaspora Voting was firmly entrenched in the new PARLIAMENTARY UNICAMERAL CONSTITUTION THROUGH REFERENDUM THAT WILL PRODUCE A PRIME MINISTER IN THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS!

All hands must be on deck to salvage what was left of this great nation which money bag politicians have tried to destroy at all cost.

Presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ruling party Ahmed ‘Bola Tinubu, had over the years exhibited penchant for soothing economic disadvantages of the unfortunate common man from the vantage position of governance and immunity!

During his two-term tenure as Governor of Lagos State (1999-2007), he dispensed the Treasury as personal vault!

He endeared the masses politically to himself through regular financial inducements which lifted a sizable population to hold allegiance to the Alliance to Democracy (AD), the Party in government which later metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), between 1999-2013.

Those eight years at the helm of affairs in Lagos gave him the ample opportunity to entrench himself as business mogul and political juggernaut, classified as “godfather”!

Bola Tinubu played a major role in the formation in February 2013, the party now known as the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has been in power at the centre forward over seven years.

He led the Action Congress of Nigeria to merge with the Northern Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP), a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the New PDP, a faction of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

Lagos State as the commercial capital of Nigeria, that enjoys a cosmopolitan status and hub of economic activities from around all continents of the world had always been in the lead in respect of Internally Generated Revenues (IGRs), among the 36 States and the Federal Capital City (FCT), of Nigeria.

In 2021 Lagos State realised NGN535 billion naira as IGR and hopes to generate NGN980 billion naira in 2022!

Other speakers at colloquium also addressed issues of government's ineptitude to provide basic necessities of life to its citizens in respect of education, access to health care facilities, unemployment among the youths and able-bodied men and women underemployment estimated at 20 million, lack of primary health care, annual infant and maternal mortality rates, number of out-of-school children of primary school age which was put in that year 2014 at 10.5 million!

Apart from dubious educational qualifications Tinubu has been accused of involvement in a private tax-collecting firm known and registered as ALPHA BETA CONSULTING!
It is alleged that Tinubu owns the firm which collects taxes on behalf of the Lagos State Government in spite of the existence of the official State Inland Revenue Services!

Alpha Beta is paid monthly commissions which has just been increased in January 2022 from ₦800 million naira to ₦2.5 billion naira by incumbent surrogate Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu in spite of court litigation against Ahmed tinubu and Alpha-Beta Consulting by a former managing director of the consulting firm!

Federal Minister Babatunde Fashola's honest admission that Nigeria's annual flooding was not a unique problem peculiar to Nigeria but a common phenomenon across the world is very correct.

However his allusion that the incessant national catastrophe was “a human issue” that should be dumped on the Citizens’ doorstep is the dumbest submission for a Senior Advocate of his caliber because he, his principal and other stewards in government at all levels are the complicit/culpable state actors within the body politic!

The Federal Government's primary responsibility is clearly spelt out in Section 14 (a) (b) (c), of the 1999 Constitution but when top functionaries like Fashola pass the buck to the downtrodden in situations of this nature there is surely more to it than meets the eye!
He went further to claim that States/Local Government Areas officials should also be held responsible for dereliction of duties that could successfully mitigate annual floods and that all blames should not be heaped on the central government alone.

Annual flooding in Nigeria has become a recurring decimal in spite of the fact that it is not every land in Nigeria that is below the sea level.
The riverine areas of Niger Delta are accustomed to river flooding because of their proximity to the Atlantic Ocean but even at that, they could mitigate the effects without incurring much damages or casualties, given the right incentives.

OFFICIAL STATISTICS OF 2022 FLOOD CASUALTIES IN NIGERIA!

*603 people believed to have been killed.
*1.3 million persons displaced from various communities
*31 out of the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), experienced the flooding which is gradually receding.
*82,053 houses were totally submerged.
*2,504,095 million people experienced the flooding on different scales.
*332,327 hectares of land were ravaged by the flood.
*121,318 houses were partially destroyed.
108,392 farmlands were partially submerged.
*2,407 people sustained various degree of injuries.

Ministers at the Federal level including Lai Mohammed minister of information and Culture, Sadiya Umar Farooq, of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development, exonerated the Federal Government but castigated the Citizens. They insisted that there was enough warning about the flood but that States, Local Governments and communities failed to take heed!
WHAT MITIGATING STRUCTURES DID THE UNITARY PRESIDENTIAL GOVERNMENT PUT IN PLACE IN ALL THE YEARS OF ANNUAL FLOODING?

If official warnings of impending flood were sufficient without mitigating factors on ground it will amount to motions without movement. Every year the various weather forecast institutions would predict heavy downpour of rains and climate change FAILED to build buffer dams to mitigate release of excess water from Cameroons Lagdo Dam.
The Dam was constructed on River Benue south of the city of Garoua between 1977 and 1982 to supply electricity to the northern part of the country and also to allow for irrigation of about 15,000 hectares of farmland crops downstream in Cameroons.
Nigeria was promptly advised to build a Buffer Dam downstream precisely in the present the Adamawa State in the early 80s while Lagdo was still under construction in order to counter excess waters when the Dam began operation.
Has Nigeria built its BUFFER DAMS to date? No!

BUT Sadiya Farouq said Federal Government would initiate a bilateral discussion with authorities in Cameroon in November 2022, on the periodic opening of the Lagdo Dam in order to mitigate annual flooding but made no mention of building buffer dams, dredging of lakes, canals and tributaries that should absorb the overflow into the Rivers Niger, Benue and reduce disasters!
She emphasized the need for State Governments to invest in flood management projects and community-based early warning systems.

The apex Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has announced plans to boost the battered economy with redesigned Nigerian currencies of 1000, 500, and 200 Naira denominations which will be in circulation from 15th December 2022 to 30th January 2023.
Of the three trillion naira currencies currently in circulation, ₦2.7 trillion are outside of the banking sector and have stifled economic transactions through massive infiltration of counterfeit and very dirty currencies that can no longer qualify as legal tender!
Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank governor who made the announcement last Thursday 27th October, 2022 reeled out benefits that will complement the redesigned currencies as follows 1. Terminate counterfeiting. 2. Cancel further official money printing. 3. Check corruption. 4. Precipitate cashless economy and 5. Create liquidity to manage inflation.

FAKE CURRENCIES ARE AS OLD AS NIGERIA!

Before the advent of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), counterfeited currencies had dominated rural trading communities, urban commercial sectors and virtually the entire banking industry!

Fake Naira notes were rarely detected due to forgers perfection except they were detected by eagle eyes during exchange for goods and services; but such transactions in most cases always ended at police stations for arbitration!

In recent times even with the introduction of ATMs it has been detected that powerful syndicates operating in the banking sector have heightened the proliferation or fake Naira notes into the banks. In spite of the confidence of the ATM engineers that the machines would detect counterfeit notes, they passed seamlessly through the machines and into the hands of innocent customers who were eventually embarrassed when they presented such notes as legal tender!

In December 2017 precisely five years ago our Editorial Board launched an investigation to unravel the sources of fake Naira notes that were being dispensed from ATMs alongside legitimate currencies and discovered that a very powerful syndicate in the commercial banks were operating undetected by their principals!

Two fake N1000 currencies came into our possession through withdrawals from an ATM located within a commercial bank and another from the counter of a banking hall in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

We made so much noise about the two separate incidents and threatened to report the banks to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), while we also spoke to some officials the CBN who promised to investigate the complaint and get back to us until FOREVER!

We then called on the Federal Government to hold the CBN Governor responsible for the trillions of naira currencies in circulation all over Nigeria through our publication: Zion B-BC Newsletter, 226th Edition of 10th December, 2017, without response until now when Mr. Emefiele acted a ONE MAN SHOW — of redesigning of the designated currencies without any imput from the Federal Ministry of Finance and National Planning.
The Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning has warned that the new notes will have dire consequences on Naira’s value.

CBN CLAIMS TO HAVE FOLLOWED DUE PROCESS IN THE NAIRA DESIGNING!

CBN’s spokesman said that the management in line with provisions of Section 2 (b), Section 18 (a) and Section 19 (a) (b), of the CBN Act 2007, duly sought and obtained the approval of the President Muhammadu Buhari in writing to redesign, produce, release and circulate new series of 200, 500, and 1000 Naira banknotes to fulfill efficacy in the conduct of monetary policy.
He urged Nigerians to support the currency redesign project because it was in the overall interest of Nigerians since some persons were hoarding significant sums of banknotes outside the vault of commercial banks which threatened the integrity of the currency.

In respect of printing costs of the new Naira notes he said the cost will not be outrageous because they will be printed in Nigeria and within CBNs budget.

COMMENTS:
Well said but has CBN acted ultra vires to Citizens persistent appeal for SYNERGY between Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), in order to get best results and defeat Red Tapism/Bureaucracies that have escalated failures and despondency in the CIVIL SERVICE to date?
MAYBE NOT! In view of the following facts that usually guarded monetary protocol at that level:

*CBN is totally independent of the Ministry of Finance according to a 1989 Decree believed to have been promulgated by General Ibrahim Babangida.
*Just like the Economic Advisory Council (EAC), the apex bank takes instructions and reports directly to the President.
*Redesigning or outright Change of legal currencies MUST be executed with utmost secrecy because it is national sensitive issue!
*Nigerian currencies were changed in 1968 during the Biafra War (1967-1970), with a strategic view of rendering all monies of former Eastern Nigeria as illegal tender!
*In 1973, 1977 and between 1979 and 2009, the Nigerian currencies underwent various forms of changes to boost the economy at those stages of the nation’s development.
*The ₦2.7 trillion naira (about 80% of the ₦3trillion outside of the banking sector) are believed to be hoarded by desperate political moneybags who would stop at nothing to remain in contention at the 2023 General Elections by hook and crook!
*The measure is also believed would greatly reduce general GDP Inflation, especially FOOD INFLATION!
*Minister of finance could not claim total ignorance of the CBN move because one of its Directors is a member of the apex bank board.

The British Parliament is 221years old and Ms. Liz Truss, the 56th Prime Minister stepped down from office on Thursday 20th October, 2022, having spent just 44 days – the shortest tenure on that exalted seat of leadership and power!

Her resignation resonated like a rude shock to world powers and political pundits but not to her colleagues and former contestants who never gave her any credit for success!
In fact one of them described her very short tenure as “ tumultuous premiership” which reneged on key pledges including immigration!
“The race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favour to the learned; but time and chance happened to them all. But he that shall endure until the end the same shall be saved.”

Who would have thought that Liz Truss who was able garner 57% of the 172,000 votes to defeat all other seven contenders (including Nigeria-born ‘Kemi Badenoch), hands down with battery of academic brilliance, cerebral performances, presentations in economy, politics, industry, fiscal and monetary issues, would chicken out when the race was just warming up?
She could not sustain the complicated terrain of the HOT SEAT, was unpretentious but confessed her frustration within 44 official days in office and promised that a NEW LEADER/PRIME MINISTER WOULD EMERGE TO SUCCEED HER IN ONE WEEK! The beauty of UK's Parliamentary Democracy is incomparable, unprecedented!

According to some reports she was said to have resigned her appointment, just 24 hours after she declared, I'm a fighter not a quitter”.
SUCH A FORTHRIGHT DECISION WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN NIGERIA’S MILITARY PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT! (They would rather sit tight, corrupt and destroy the entire system with nepotism and institutional impunity)!

LIZ TRUSS RESIGNATION SPEECH!

In a speech at 10 Downing Street she made the following submissions:
*I came into office at a time of great economic and international instability when families and businesses were worried about how to pay their bills.
*And coupled with Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine which threatens the security of a whole continent and our country has been held back for too long by low economic growth.
*With the mandate of the Conservative Party’s platform on which I was elected we delivered on energy bills and on cutting National insurance and also set out a vision for a low-tax high-growth economy that will take advantage of the freedoms of Brexit.
*I RECOGNISE, THOUGH, GIVEN THE SITUATION I CANNOT DELIVER THE MANDATE ON WHICH I WAS ELECTED BY THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!
*I have therefore spoken to his majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader or the Conservative Party and having met with the Chairman of the 1922 Backbench Committee, Sir Graham Brady, we agreed that there will be a leadership election to be completed within the next week to ensure that we remain on a part to deliver our fiscal plans and maintain our country's economic stability and national Security.
* I will remain as Prime Minister until a successor has been chosen.

LABOUR PARTY, OTHERS DEMAND FOR GENERAL ELECTIONS!

General Elections cycle in the UK is five years. The Tories, voted to power December 17, 2019 will be challenged in fresh elections from December 17, 2024, which means that they still have TWO YEARS to dissolve. UK Prime Ministers and their respective Parliaments can only serve five years from the day on which day first meet.
The next general elections will be expected in January 2025 although an official date is yet to be announced.

Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey has called for a general election by saying that there was no need for another Conservative Prime Minister lurching from crisis to crisis!
Roll call of general elections in recent years had thrown up David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Liz Truss – all Conservatives in that order! Boris Johnson assumed office through the general elections of December 12, 2019.

There can be no better time than now for Nigerians at home and the Diaspora to demand for a UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION from Major General Muhammadu Buhari, for a Prime Minister to succeed him in 2023!
A PARLIAMENTARY GOVERNMENT is the solution to the current insecurity quagmire that bestrides the nation and no politician should say that the demand is too close to the 2023 General Elections! REFERENDUM is the right instrument for its achievement!

Efforts at constitutional amendments in Nigeria always failed because the spirit and letters of the sacred document were consistently mortgaged by selfish, ambitious and very greedy legislators whose manipulative tendencies are at variance with democratic norms!

Political principles by which states or organisations are governed especially in relation to the rights and privileges of the people as set out in statutory constitutions are usually fallible, incompetent or imperfect.

For these reasons they are regularly open to amendments from time to time in order to ensure fiscal discipline, financial prudence and human rights compliance!

But Nigeria's case is different! For instance in July 2017, both Chambers of the National Assembly (NASS), voted on 33 major bills to amend the bogus Military 1999 Constitution, but the votes turned out to be OPPOSED TO THE YEARNINGS, ASPIRATIONS AND SENSIBILITIES OF THE CITIZENS who were agitating for TRUE FEDERALISM as follows:
*DEVOLUTION of powers from Federal to Federating States; NO! *IMMUNITY for legislators during Plenary and Committee Sittings; YES!

*EX-SENATE PRESIDENTS AND EX-HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SPEAKERS be absorbed as members of the COUNCIL OF STATES in order to have equal ranking with Presidents, Vice Presidents and Governors; YES!

*To override PRESIDENTIAL VETO IN CONSTITUTIONAL ALTERATION; YES!

*Removal of LAW-MAKING POWER from the Executive Arm (in respect of National Security Agencies Act, National Complaints Commission, Land Use Act and National Youth Service Corps.) YES!

*35% AFFIRMATIVE INCLUSION OF WOMEN AS MINISTERS; NO!

*APPROVAL FOR 35 YEARS AS MINIMUM AGE FOR QUALIFICATION AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES; NO!

*Approval for INDEPENDENT CANDIDACY AT ALL ELECTIONS; NO!
At the end of their jamboree ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in a letter dated 13th April 2015 to NASS rejected the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution Alteration Bill 2015 because he perceived deliberate attempt by federal lawmakers to whittle down presidential powers!

On the whole he gave 10 reasons for vetoing the entire exercise and all the ONE BILLION NAIRA appropriated for the exercise went into the pockets of the greedy legislators without any query to date!

LAWMAKERS VOTED 44 CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS IN 2022!

Like its 2017 counterpart the current amendments to the 1999 Military Constitution of Nigeria took off on wrong footing and has hit the rocks!
The Amendments which were gender-unfriendly rejected FIVE GENDER BILLS; voted against provision for special seats for women in the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly -208 members of the House of Representatives voted against it!

Both Chambers also voted against Affirmation Action for Women in political party administration while the Senate voted against the Bill on reserved QUOTA for Women and virtually dashed into pieces all provisions that were crafted to enhance greater activities for the Nigerian women in politics and administration!

The 44 voted bills which had been forwarded to all the 36 States to fulfill constitutional requirements that two thirds of STATE ASSEMBLIES must ratify them before they are passed to the President for assent into law since March 2022, were so far approved by only ELEVEN STATES!

QUESTION: How much did NASS appropriate for the wild goose chase – especially at this austere time of HYPER-INFLATION? In 2017, it was a whooping ₦ 1 BILLION NAIRA! It’s now FIVE YEARS ON …perhaps they managed ₦ 5 BILLION!

25 STATES HAVE DEMANDED THAT NEW BILLS MUST BE INCLUDED THE BEFORE THEIR APPROVAL!

State Assemblies working under the aegis of the CONFERENCE OF SPEAKERS TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY JOINT COMMITTEE ON CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW HAVE PRESENTED THE FOUR BILLS AS FOLLOWS :
1) Establish STATE POLICE;
2) Establish STATE JUDICIAL COUNCIL;
3) Streamline the procedure for removing Presiding Officers of State Houses of Assembly and;
4) Institutionalize Legislative Bureaucracy in the Constitution.

COMMENTS:

It is heartwarming that STATE GOVERNORS have supported their Legislative Assemblies to demand for the FOUR additional BILLS so that the entire AMENDMENTS EXERCISE WOULD SEE THE LIGHT OF THE DAY!

The flaws and loopholes of the 1999 Military Constitution were very glaringly to all LEGISLATORS AT ALL LEVELS FROM THE ONSET, but because of their greedy agenda an lifestyle for illicit gains from the SYSTEM preferred to persistently amend the unamendable instead of opting for the better PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT which is very cost-effective!

LEGISLATORS MUST NOT BE DEMANDING FOR BILLS TO PASS THROUGH BUREAUCRACY AT THIS AGE AND TIME ANYMORE!

THE BEST OPTION OPEN TO THEM IS THE CONVOCATION OF A REFERENDUM ESPECIALLY NOW THAT THEY ARE IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE GOVERNORS!

Referendum will sort out all grey and contentious issues in respect of TRUE FEDERALISM and will produce INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES, (through a brand new UNICAMERAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUTION) one of whom will emerge as PRIME MINISTER in the 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS from among hundreds of hundreds of Members of Parliament from the Wards.

These States and their Governors must NOT miss this one opportunity to turn Nigeria around for the best and destroy once and for all the MONSTER CALLED INSECURITY! Failed Presidency MUST give way to Parliamentary Democracy!
