P3 can be upgraded to JELLY BEAN ( Android 4.2.1)
This only works for rooted phones.
Just download it from http://basedroid.com/tecno-n3p3/%28custom-rom%29-jellybean-3-0/ and install it as advised on the site.

your phone at that stage is already rooted.
just install supper user and ROOT CHECKER run it ( root checker) and check if you are rooted
Finally it will congraturate you for rooting your phone

This is ony true when you have arleady downloaded the ministro II.
Install it and updated the QT libraries and do the restarting as advised.

23jerryking: guys am begging in the name if God, simeone should pls uploadd a tecno p3 stock rom. The one on page 84 will not download cos it has download server erro, I've used 5 different browsers on my friend's pc and it all failed saying source error

This you need to extract.

Mean all the files you downloaded from internet ( system.img, boot.img.....)
You dont need to extract any file you downloaded. Leave it as it is.
After that you retun the SD to the phon
Then you hold Vol Up + Power button togeza. for seconds till it boot into recovery with pink display.
Press Vol up, then Vol down and finally Vol up
You will see green words saying back button enabled.
Scroll using Volume battuns to Backup and Restore.
Select restore and answer yes.
Wait untill restoration is complete.
NOTE: The display in recovery is in four
If you press vol up it reflects on the upper screen
If you press vol down it reflects on the lower screen
For you to work better with it you need to either continue with vol up or down.
But note that it will altenate butween up and down screen.
Just focus on which sreen reaches backup and restore first.

23jerryking: sir I did not have that CWM on my phone before it got bricked please any other way? that CWM I saw in playstore but am only a novice so I did not download so now that my phone can't even boot past the TECNO logo, what can I use now to unbrick it or how can I unbrick?

Just put the files in a single folder and name it accordingly for easy identification.
Place it in your memory card using card reader.
Put it ( the card) in your 4n
Power it up using volume up and power button held together-keep pressing untill you are in recovery mode with pink and green laters.
Scroll down to "backup and restore"

Mr owoks: Sir, please I bought a tecno p3 from etisalat and I downloaded games on in some are hanging ....and the temple run 1 and 2 isn't working at all........it will open the temple run page the write "please wait,loading" then go back....please what can I do anybody please help me? These are all you need to have first
(1)A rooted phone (http://www.baba2023.com/2013/05/root-your-tecno-p3.html)
(2)ClockWorkMod Recovery installed (CWM) (https://www.nairaland.com/1340634/cwm-recovery-tecno-n3-tecno)

Remember to be patient and follow every step correctly.
When in recovery mode your torch will be on continously. This is normal.
Your battery should be atlest 50% charged or above.

If you used min tool you can change it to FAT 32 not any other format.

Note that Memory cards use FAT or FAT 32.

Go to SETTINGS > SOUNDS > NOTIFICATIONS
You can now chose Notification alert for Sim 1 or Sim 2

If Notifications isn't there, then possibly you have an app that is preventing you from viewing the notifications.
Look for it and remove it.
