verygudbadguy: If you read through my posts, you will find so much one Nigeria messages. I only got tired when I saw that they were never gonna change. At least, I can preach to you, my tribesmen. let me go soft now, it seems you do not understand me, dont you think because of the too much space, opportunities and love we have given "these people" in the past led us to the current problem? |

verygudbadguy: Guys, our proverbs says "okun o kin woriri, ka wariri".. Forget the fact that we are both Southerners, our upbringing differ. Let's learn to embrace them irrespective of their flaws. We are the Omoluabis. We are hospitable, respectable and loving tribe. We don't hate but love. That's why we have all tribes residing with us. Let's not dump our values because of some unworthy tribalists. some people are headbent on twisting your history, some people are desperate to dilute your heritage all you could say is we should just put our heads in their hands, i was once like you but i know if these whole saga are left to people like you, yorubas are in trouble. |

verygudbadguy: Not most times. You know we were trained to love at all times. Let's exhibit that values here to help correct others who are filled with hate. Love conquers all remember. All those anti yoruba threads, where people use all manners of deterogatory words against yoruba race, why didnt you preach to them, i have never encountered any form of peacekeeping mission on anti yoruba threads but if it is the other way round you will see people forming Pope or koffi Annan all over......i hate hypocrites more than Ebola. |

Ihatepork: Lol. I thought I was the only one who noticed it. There are countless number of Yoruba bashing threads here, you won't see these apostles saying anything. And you have yoruba omo ales forming Oshiomole for them lol i hate those yorubas that behave like that, they want to appear political correct, every tribe is far from perfect, but i will never allow a tribe that has so many weaknesses to foam in the mouth towards my tribe both online and offline. Never!!! |

verygudbadguy: Don't be silly pretty! Of course, you didn't sound like a silly person when I spoke to you yesterday.
You can't win hate with hate. I am sure you guys are intentionally taunting them because they do the same. Drop this act please. We are not moulded to be this insensitive. The OP is already weighed down with the issue at hand. Please, proffer solutions only. I only wish that some other tribalists here can be cautioned and not hailed by their tribesmen. We can't continue like this and expect meaningful development in Nigeria. The problem with all these one sided apostles is very funny, when ibos go on rampage here, you will not see a single soul that will reprimand them, but if it is yoruba's turn they will now turn to peace advocate......sometimes the best way to eradicate evil is by another bigger evil. |

The problem you flatheaded miscreants have is that you're unenlightened and generationally foolish.
You live like pigs and animals where you come from and whenever you try to replicate that madness outside, you end up imprisoned and executed. That is why i always laugh when i see them boast online, they have the worst form of inferiority complex, it is an acute one, the difference between the mental capacities of their leaders an an average citizen is negligible, they are poor in politics, even those that cant impregnate their wives always shout "Buhari" as an excuse |

Igbo Kwenu! no!! it is the other way round, lagos is the mecca of your people, some igbos even prefer staying in lagos than going to europe, you are not a bonafide igbo until you have visited lagos at least 3 times with pictorial evidence....it is as bad as that. |

But the case of ooni and others like the ondo State governor etc I don't know
I am just trying to figure this out...this isn't a tribal rant
Even here on Naira land...I see Yoruba been happy when they date non Yoruba and non Yoruba don't even celebrate Yoruba women
Pls with all due respect is it that Yoruba men don't find their women desirable or is it that Yoruba women aren't marriageable?
I am just trying to figure out the mindset This is a silly question from an adult, a todler should b flogged for showing a similar attitude as yours, well, i cant blame you, a flat head is a big defect, it has constricted essential components of the brain that is useful for logical reasoning. |

Take it or leave it.... you must be one good estate surveyor!!! Am not surprised, if a governor can make a stupid statement, i dont expect the populace to fare better, but be warned!!! people always have their resistance limit. the moment a hardcore pro yoruba leader ( governor) who gives no shit about political correctness is installed in lagos, you will know that you and your people are economic refugees in lagos........and it will be too late to beg because all cautions will be thrown to the wind.Only a fool threatens a man on his land. |

cstr1000: Look at this ignoramus. Hundreds and hundreds of people have won the Nobel for many reasons. How many of those people do you know? Google is acknowledging Achebe memorial and the US congress also celebrated him, how many Nobel prize winners will ever get that kind of honour.? The Nobel is not the end of the world. It does not make you the undisputed master of your field, since it is a subjective award anyway. Thousands of deserving people will never win the nobel., while thousands more may win it for very different reasons.
Soyinka may have won the Nobel, but he is not in Achebe's class and he knows it. He does not have his popularity or his global standing. He will never influence the world like Achebe has. QED. look at this man, a looser will always have excuses for his inadequaces, by the way, because the u.s parliament celebrated him does not make him the best, i know your problem, you are still a slave mentally, but till tomorrow and till this world ends, soyinka is ahead of Achebe, if you like come with another set of lamentations but all i know is soyinka is ahead of all writers from your clan or tribe......am waiting for another set of lamentations from you, maybe it is the russian parliament this time. A slave will always be a slave. |

cstr1000: Achebe's ''things fall apart'' is a recommended high school book for students in America and many parts of the west, while Soyinka is just a Yoruba who happened to win a Nobel. There is no Nigerian and certainly no Yoruba in Achebe's class. When Achebe died, the US congress paid respect. I don't think there is any Nigerian dead or alive that will have that kind of honour.
Achebe did not write in Igbo, because it will limit the scope of his impact. Fafunwa or whatever he is called is a nobody. do you think the nobel prize is given to anyhow person? I repeat , your Achebe is below Soyinka, all those thrash you wrote up there is not worth an ounce of a nobel prize, you are just consoling yourself,Achebe is brilliant but dont overstretch the man's capabilities |

cstr1000: Bros, nobody knows fafunwa. He is a writer for Yoruba readers and shouldn't be compared to global icons. We are talking of people who created the humanisation of Africans when the world saw us as half man-half beasts . Fafunwa ko, oduduwa ni. so because he writes in yoruba makes him substandard? if you are able to read and comprehend yoruba , you will know that the reasoning capability of that man is second to none, are you telling me that assuming Achebe writes all his works exclusively in igbo, does that make him a mediocre writer?. Till tomorrow your Achebe is Still under Wole Soyinka. |

Try to read all Alawiye, Ogboju ode ninu igbo irunmole and Igbo elegbeje and testify. Fact!!! that D.O Fagunwa is a writer out of this world, I found Ogboju ode ninu igbo irunmole one of the best book I have laid my hands on, what thrills me is the continuity, I find it hard to believe how someone could conjure such a sweet long story with perfect continuity, it just like watching all these american series.I just hope the book would be translated to English to reach a wider audience 3 Likes |
