.....by mistake, I told the man I prefer years that ends with even numbers than the odd ones, that the odd ones are harder to navigate ( actually speaking from personal experience),

The man immediately rebuked me, he told me when he was younger he used to be like me, he detested meeting a man as the first person of contact early in the morning, if such happens, that would have a rough day but if a female was the first person of contact, that would be a glorious day, not until he went for a church service and they treated " the power behind jinx and hindrances "

He said it was made known to him that evil forces feeds on negative thoughts of the human mind, it is better to keep a clean state of mind, since then he does not bother again on who he sees first when he wakes up and he has been having positive results.

The man told me not to believe in any jinx or limitations orchestrated by one's mind and since that time all the years irrespective of the number ending it has been splendid

What is the role of properly calibrated education and sensitisation in all these?
There were ritual killings (not for money/wealth) and the worship of diverse gods in Europe and the Middle East as documented in their history books and the Bible so how did they move away from all that?
The vikings practiced blood eagle, the king of Dahomey, ghezzo was buried with 800 slaves when he died, after 1500 slaves demanded couldn't be met, all these are forms of ritual but are not meant to produce money, but the one we are witnessing in the country is exclusively money oriented, reduce the poverty rate and see a sharp decrease in ritual killings and other vices, do you know the ripple effect of uncurbed crime, I can name an area in ibadan where 60% of young boys engage in yahoo. in as much we want to shy away from it, the government is a major player to turn things around, let us start by fixing our power sector and see how things can change rapidly.
About the role of proper education and sensitization, it is a gradual process, I think our educational system is not flexible, it is more of one way traffic, but about sensitization, a lot can be done but to convince people to drop their evil ways , you must provide a practical alternative.

Don't you think that our values changed as we became more focused on foreign things and abandoned our own culture, tastes and religion as tagged them bad, dirty, condemn-able?
it is not that our culture is that perfect, there are many loopholes in most African cultures that western influence eliminated systematically, I am a pure Yoruba but I still think that the high rate of ritual killings in our region is due to that option available in the Yoruba traditional system, which is a thing of sadness for me, there are many factors that changes peoples value other than westernization, In Nigeria, inability to access the basic necessities of life is a big influence.

Thanks.
So you don't understand how it changed and what made it change?
it changed when they can no longer refuse the offer of " the man with a questionable character " , it changes when they do not know what to eat next, there is no hidden agenda to the change, it is just worsening poverty crises. Let us paint it like this you are a rich man but with a questionable source of income, I am just an ordinary man but I still struggle to pay my bills, every path you clear for me to come closer to u will be rebuffed by me because my conscience is intact, after maybe 10 years and things get worse and poverty turns to penury, then that restraining conscience dies a natural death.

So what changed since your younger days and how did it change?
it is evident in the write up, poverty rate then was acceptable, but with penury we are facing now, no one cares about morals anymore, most young boys are into yahoo, and when they give u reasons for it, you will know we have lost it, The level of our current moral decadence is uncalled for and it is directly or indirectly tied to poverty, my work deals with the grassroot a lot , moving around different part of the country. you give a married man #1000, he nearly prostrate for you, it is that bad, initially I used to convince young people around me to desist from yahoo, I was making real progress then, but now it is like beating a dead horse.
PoliticsRe: Sorry To Say, The Nigerian Government Is Better Than The Nigerian People by zanogo(m): 6:21am On Jan 21, 2020
o.p, I used to think like this, but wait, it is more than this, there is a level of poverty that is compatible with the human soul, we have passed that level, most Nigerians are facing naked poverty ( penury ) . At this stage conscience is killed for survival, good upbringing is discarded for a plate of food etc it has never been this bad. extreme poverty is a direct or remote factors in ways Nigerians behave, that is why most poor people called to serve at any level would see it as a poverty escape route.
When I was younger, people in my area usually ostracize anybody with questionable character or source of income cos the poverty rate then was relatively low making people follow morals and asking the right questions but someone not sure of what to eat would seer his conscience involuntary, this is not rocket science, to escape poverty, we have to make ourselves better and do things in different way but the bulk of the work lies in the hand of the government to create a conducive environment for the populace. .........Person wey dey hungry no dey listen to preaching.

Andorra has never won or drawn any match in all their european qualifiers since they have joined uefa, we are talking of over 50 matches here, Niger republic will comfortably beat andorra like a

I remember a girl I was dating ( the only experience of cheating I remember) I may not call it cheating because she told me to break up before she started dating him.

Yes she started acting funny so I traveled from port harcourt my uni to see her at she school in Ebonyi. I arrived there by 11pm. Can you imagine she sent her intending boyfriend to pick me at her school gate! So walked like a lamb to his room and we discussed her. From my observation the guy was a player and he was using her to pass his assignments and exams. He refused to drop her. I slept In his room and In the morning I went to see her. And asked if there was any reason for us to continue. She didn't say anything reasonable. As I be na. I had read between the lines. It was all over. I ended it.

From what I heard. Her relationship with him ended at the school gate after graduation. I pity her because she was naive and she wasn't aware she was being used for gains. I learned that period. That trying to please a woman is like trying to catch a housefly. The more aggressive you try the harder it is to catch her. So in order to catch her, become feaces. Shiit. Have you seen shiit without housefly?

Yes we have some unscrupulous Igbos spoiling the good name of the great Igbo tribe but they are very small and insignificant, the only crime Igbos have committed against others is being focused on success through entrepreneurship, business, etc, nothing else.

It seems you do not understand potential and work coaches do to work on the potentials of young athlete, being in Chelsea for 100 years without making any significant contribution doesnt make you have a stellar career, can you count mikel obi as Chelsea legend despite spending almost a decade? Whereas drogba is a club legend despite spending almost the same years as mikel. To you, anybody that uses donkey year in a top club has a successful career, your football mind is limited, there are many factors limiting the move of a player and by the way if you are a good squad player ( extra tire) you can use a million year so far you are contented with your place in the squad.

Do not mind people here, most are talking with sentiments, mikel has the potential to be world class but due to many factors, he was above average at best, forget mourinho, mikel was plagued by the average black man mentality, he failed to develop his game when needed, the cash was coming at a very tender age, his game was stagnant and at a point he depreciated, success is relative, you have to pick yours, you can be extremely talented and play for teams that hardly win trophies and you can be a bench warmer and be fortunate to be on a team that racks up trophies.

Benzema has more positioning than Higuain but isn't as clinical. Higuain barely lost a one-on-one encounter while Benzema lost a lost. Why Benzema is considered a better alternative to Higuain is because you'd always find him in the right place and at the right time. That is the only one edge that Benzema had over Higuain at Madrid.

Blaming the Super Eagles' Team is unfair. Most of these guys are not used to one another as we think. You wonder why the Argentinian Messi is not the same as the Barcelona Messi, it is because of understanding as this. National sides barely allow their players play together for long. They never stop experimenting and introducing new players to the team, while the story is different for club teams who play over 50 matches in a season.

Musa is an incredible player and his presence in that team means everything.
it seems you are watching different football, higuain is classic no 9, with a great sense of positioning, benzema is good with holding the ball, that is why he drifts wide most times, higuain has more presence in th box than benzema , sometimes benzema do come to the midfield to collect ball, i have never encounter any football site ( foreign) that asserts that benzema has more positioning in the box than higuian, i dare you to share any if you have.......or maybe the positioning you are talking about is another thing entirely

Ahmed Musa, with all his flaws, is an asset to this team.

His runs, at least keep the opponents' attack at bay.
This is the bane of an average nigerian football follower, you will keep listening to stuffs like " he is trying" , ".... but they didnt beat us up to 3-0" etc look football is won by goals scored, not by running or harrasing opponents without any orientation, we love applauding physical attributes more than mental attributes, do you know that if musa was decisive enough, we should be 3-0 up by 70 mins, harrasing opponents, running, tackling without goals is futile just like pouring pure water inside the ocean, musa is a good finisher, i can testify to that, but his decision making inside the box is terrible and that is why he wont be a great player, just a good player.
SportsRe: AFCON: Ahmed Musa's Unselfishness Is Causing Us Problems by zanogo(m): 10:32am On Jul 12, 2019
Sanchez01:
Musa is doing the work of a winger. His mission is to run down the line and create chances from the outside into the 18 box. He does that fairly well but most of his balls are wasted because you hardly find players in the box when his crosses come in.

Ighalo is an incredible finisher, to be fair but he lacks positioning just like Higuain. Speed is obviously not his strength. Musa might not take on the opponent's goalkeeper head on if he doesn't find his way into the 18 box. Him being selfish would mean every tiny chance he gets would be blasted into space, or at best, we get a corner kick.

The proper thing would be to ask the winger to spot out his man and counsel the striker to be more mobile and move when the winger poses a threat to the opposition.

Don't expect every winger to be like Ronaldo. It's unfair.
hey!! you are not that wrong, but higuain at his peak is very good at positioning, he just usually misses than he scores, when at madrid, he would replace benzema at the 60 minutes mark and would still see more good chances than benzema who played more minutes, musa has always been like this, that is why he is not great, just only good, great speed, average dribbling but poor execution, we dont have to blame ighalo here, musa has always been like this, he is not decisive at all, for a player of his calibre, i think it is shameful, when u beat a wing back and dashing towards the box 18, you look up to see available team mates, if they are few or they are not reachable, then you can go for the kill, but musa will just throw an aimless pass into the box waiting for miracle to happen just like The over hyped Townsend during his tottenham days, great speed, great dribbling but no end product, i would prefer onyekuru and Chukwueze on the wings. musa is an expert dog used for hunting, and an expert dog used for hunting does not spoil the meat of his games or else he pays with his own skin , musa needs to sit on the bench for sometime.
