1. MC of APPO will determine. The next Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO) is scheduled to take place in Congo before November. This session aims to further discuss the progress and development of the African energy sector, including the launch of the Africa Energy Bank in Nigeria, which is expected to be finalized during this meeting. Let’s wait for the outcome of the MC-APPO session. The commencement date will be much more clear after the session.

2. To the best of my knowledge, the Bank of Industry has concluded the selection & slots sharing process. However, the Managing Director has not made public on a specific date for the release of appointment letters. The timing of the release appears to be at his discretion. I have no idea either for now but a reliable staff said before December.

Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) is still the father of all agencies in Nigeria. I know someone who jejely left NSIA to the almighty MOFI. This could be debatable because international travels and internal opportunities or deals for extra cash are more in NNPC.

UPDATE!!

The newly established African Energy Bank (AEB) is set to commence operation by 28-01, few weeks from now. The aim of establishing the AEB OFFICE is to finance OIL and GAS projects in the entire African Continent. The Bank is starting with a capitalization of US$5 billion dollars.

The African Energy Bank is headquartered here in Abuja renovation almost done. The AEB also intends to establish a trading arm that will facilitate the trade of petroleum products in the entire Africa. They will be trading with the entire African Crud Oil which includes LYBIA. The established department are Upstream Financing, Midstream Financing and Down Stream financing among others.

Any country willing to take a loan will use it Oil reserve as collateral. Afriximbank is incharge of recruiting or seconding professional to commence operations. From the ongoing modalities in areas of staff remuneration, even the almighty CBN, NCC, NDIC, NFIU, BOI and NUPRC staff will bow and show respect to AEB staff. Huge remuneration is an understatement. There are two categories of staff. Local and international staff. Your connect should push through AFRIXIMBANK in Asokoro. January 28.

Engr. Emeka Woke complained the the previous DG over staffed the agency, the committee he set up has been frequenting HoR. In his word “ the previous DG employed mostly his tribe because he knew he was leaving” so no recruitment till next financial year.
