tifelola: You're feeling those pains because you're most likely lying on some major blood vessels or some organs that have been pushed to the right by your growing baby. Why don't you get a reclined chair, there's the plastic one or you can get the cushioned one or just put a pillow under because of aching pelvis. And get a short footstool to rest your feet on. You can catch about 4h sleep there and then move to the bed to catch the rest of the 5h or more you need. 4 Likes

Good evening beautiful mamas. I've been meaning to come here but I keep getting distracted. Please and please, if you know you're scheduled for CS or in the case you need to do elective CS, please get a pump. Please. All the story of I'm not lactating yet, it will put more pressure on you! Please get a pump, could be manual but preferably electric. I'm not saying this because I sell, but i feel the pain when I see a new mom frustrated because she's not lactating well and it brings back memories of when I struggled to lactate with my first child too. I had to beg someone to open the store to send it to her in 30 minutes as I was at work when she reached out because I could feel her pain and her baby needed it. Please, you can save towards it. I sell mine for 12k, I've not seen another vendor that sells this particular brand for just as cheap. It comes at 15-20k. Not because I don't like money but because I want everyone to be able Tk afford it. Save 1k every week and buy this. Please. Those first few days aren't ever easy. What else can you need pump for? Fill baby's bottles and keep in fridge. Yoh need a long nap, hand her over to grandma or her dad and sleep. Need to run an errand? Read for an exam? Make your hair? amSteph: Hello mama Preschool Teacher here  Your child could be having a speech delay, and the earlier you act, the better for both of you. If you cannot afford a therapist, I'd say buy bulk data and go to you-tube. These days, there's nothing you won't find on you tube. Be patient with him as you help him through this. Do you read to him? Often? Do you talk to him? Often? Not giving instructions o, but engage in conversations. Please do. It will start off as babbles but before you know it, you'll begin to decipher some words in the babbling. The more he practices, the better he gets. You can try some repetition exercises with him. For example, draw or print out objects around the house, make sure it's very similar to what you have on the house. Google how to make flash cards and then compartmentalize (objects around the house, food, people: a picture of his nuclear family) Take one word per day and gradually move to 2-3 words as he progresses. Make sure you start with monosyllabic words, progress from easy to hard. Instead of saying television, say TV. So today, show him a picture of TV and say TV in a loud and clear voice. Using complete sentences. This is a TV. TV. TV What is this?(don't expect an answer in the first few lessons, but don't stop) Then you move on to his favorite toys. People in the house. Mommy Daddy Objects like door. Whenever you treat an object, try to call his attention to the real object after the lessons and during play. Let's watch TV. Look at the TV I like the TV Even if he cannot speak, he can hear you clearly and can understand what you're saying (some kids struggle with this) Your help with him is more relevant than what any therapist will do. MamaOO: Yeah, that's the Random Blood Sugar. I think that's the one she did first (although hers was urine) and they got a + in her urine which led to this Fasting Blood Sugar in order to figure out if the sugar was just high like that on that day because of sth she ate or if she has high blood sugar even after fasting. |

Best1708: Bitterleaf won't reduce blood sugar. It will make you purge instead and anything that makes you purge too much in pregnancy can trigger labour. Do your test. Don't say you don't have the strength. Read up on gestational diabetes and you'll quickly rush to do the test and then if there's anything wrong, it can be controlled. Eat by by 8pm at night. By 7am,leave the house and go to the lab early. You can descend the house without eating. If you put your mind and your child's health ahead. All of the test will be over before 10am The first prick is by 8am after which you'll be given the sugar and asked to come back in 2h. By 10am,you're done. If na to ascend stairs nko? Lol. Good morning mamas How much is enough for baby shopping? This is a question I get asked A LOT! How much do I need to budget? Depending on if this is your first or second child, you can spend as low as 100k and as high as 500k depending on your pockets. Draft your list. Look at what you can improvise on. Look at what you may likely get as a gift. At the end of the day, you may not need to spend up to 70k sef. The important things are 1. Hospital list items. 2. Baby clothes : stick to bodysuits and sleepsuits if you're on a budget. Add sweaters for cold season. Caps, socks, mittens, bibs in minimum quantity. 3. Maternal items for mom's comfort. 4. Feeding and Diaper items You'll most likely get lots of diaper as gift. Formulas have a wide price range so you'll find sth that suits you. You can also choose to breastfeed exclusively but make it easy for yourself by getting a very good pump and please eat well! 5. Bath and bodycare items, thankfully there are options here, go for the one you can afford for at least 6m 6. Laundry items, easy to improvise. But go all out if you can afford it. Keeky08: There are so many factors to consider. 1. Will your baby be a naturalista? If yes then you may consider orí, coconut oil and other essential oils. Natural Shea butter doesn't have a nice smell but you may decide to melt it and add coconut oil to get that great coconutty smell. Or you can decide to go for Jimpo Orí, also very nice. The small jar is N800 and the big jar is N1200 Jimpo has a set for 4k. Contains black soap, Shea butter, massage oil and some other items. 2. If you're not doing organic then you may want to consider these products. -Cussons set. Cussons is a long standing product that is often overlooked. A set of it is 4k and it contains the lotion, soap, head to toe bath, sponge, and some other items. -Little angels has a bag too that has all that stuff in it for 5500N -Boots UK. The bar soap has 4 tablets for 2k. The liquid bath is 2500N, the lotion too is N2500. It has a wide range for bed time and bubble baths. The bath soap ehn, na everlasting. You will legit use the 4 bars for one good year. No lies! -Chicco, a lot of moms testify to this. Mostly mom of fair kids. Each bottle is N4500. -Aveeno, this I have used this. Tested and trusted. A bottle is N6000. -Sebamed, for clean skin use Sebamed. It's very expensive ó but it's effective. N8500 for the big bottle, N4500 for the small bottle. But some babies react to it. Gives them breakout if you buy the fake. - Johnsons is also a very very good product. It has the US and Italy version. The US version is better and more expensive. N4500 for the big bottle. There are other brands but I don't stock them because they're not really popular and I've not seen anyone testify strongly about the products. 14 Likes |
