September mamas, how are we all doing? Kindly quote or mention me to update baby sex.
Are we getting prepared? After July is August then September.
Has anyone started shopping for baby yet?, I have gotten most of all I need, just few left.

I bought my things from Zaynie, her prizes are very fair and she never gets tired of answering my numerous questions. You can even have a payment plan with her if you don't have the money at once.

Thanks mama! kiss

I have read about the metallic taste which many women experience but I haven't had it. Did it last long?

Mine lasts all through pregnancy.
Nutri C was always my go to. Couldn't drink water.
But it leaves about a week after having my babies.
It was worse in my first pregnancy, but subsequently I knew what to expect so e no too pepper me.

The way you people narrate your stories and even the not so pleasant parts makes me lol. smiley I already love this thread.

Baby 2 was the most troublesome pregnancy. I hope she or he is behaving now. grin

Did you gain a lot of weight in your 3rd pregnancy?

Baby 2 remains the drama queen amongst all 3.
She hasn't changed one bit cheesy

I actually lost a lot of weight in my 3rd pregnancy. I wore my pre-pregnancy clothes all through. I think I went down 2 dress sizes. Went from a size 18/20 to a size 14/16.

Thanks for this info. Please which hair oil is good for a baby younger than 6 months?

Any organic oil.
Like coconut oil, olive oil etc

Most baby oils are mineral oils. What does this mean? the skin doesn't absorb them easily because of its chemical nature.

Organic oils are easily absorbed into the skin. Most of these organic oils have similar xcal numenclature that resembles the oils found in our bodies so the body recognizes and absorbs them faster.

Every woman experiences pregnancy differently. What was yours like? If you already have several children, how were the pregnancies different/the same? What did you enjoy about being pregnant? What didn't you enjoy? What were the challenges?

3 kids

Baby 1
Smooth pregnancy, people didn't réalise I was pregnant till a month to delivery sef kiss. They just felt I was getting fatter.
Even in NYSC camp, no one knew I was pregnant.
No serious symptoms. Just this terrible backache and recurrent vaginal infection.
No weird cravings too but I must have drank a gazillion litres of Nutri C.
I was active all through and I partied like mad cheesy

Baby 2
People knew I was pregnant from a month!
Terrible morning, afternoon and evening sickness!
I would be driving and have to park just to vomit.
Choi!
I had to start walking about with my perfumed handkerchief or puffpuff to stuff my nose in when nausea rises. cheesy
No serious craving, just noodles morning, afternoon and night cheesy
No back pain.

Baby 3
No one knew I was pregnant till my 3rd trimester. Lol.
RoundbodyGeng
Active from day 1
No back pain but my ulcer was aggravated and I got a major hiatal hernia.
Cravings oooooo, I craved any food I saw on the internet.
I craved for Igbo and Delta soups.
I entered Calabar kitchen.
I ate Itsekiri food.
A Rivers woman made special peppersoup for me.
All Southern soups, I had them and stored them
Had baby and all cravings vamoosed!

But a common occurrence in all my pregnancies is me falling seriously sick in my 3rd trimester. I no dey miss am. I must be admitted for dayyysss where Drs will contemplate bringing baby out. But I'd always get better and push to term kiss

You might need to try the products recommended by Zaynie for the alopecia.

For rejecting food issue, usually the first signs of ill-health in babies is they start to reject food. You might want to take her to the hospital to run tests.

Allansmith

Aim07 sells hair care range that really helps with weak hair.

Then for the food, I use Astymin for my kids when they were ill and lost appetite

Hello Everyone, happy to be a part of this thread. It's been very educative and entertaining all together.

My baby girl is 18months old and living with her mother at her grandma's place for now. I went visiting recently and saw her using Premier soap to bath my girl. I was so angry but had to hold myself. I was very disappointed becos I thought as an elderly lady, she should know better than me and even the mother about stuffs like that. I also found out that the mother gave her Caro White cream to use for the baby. in addition, the baby's new growing hair is also very painful during combing of which I found out that they don't even use any cream at all on her hair.

I have told them to stop using those items ASAP and intend to go there with a better soap, cream and hair cream on my next visit usually every Sundays. I was also adviced to use Mega Growth cream for her hair.

Please, experienced mother's in the house, I need your honest recommendations. I want my babygirl to look fresh and adorable.

Please advise. Thanks

There are many brands of baby cream that are safe to use.
Cussons has a complete box of everything including oil, lotion, powder, wash, soap tablet,.
Angels, Johnsons also have similar sets too.

Jimpo is the natural version. Has all natural Shea butter and tear free black soap too. If you'd like to go natural for her, use Jimpo and coconut oil for her.

Boots soap bar is also great. Affordable and plenty, 4 big bars can last roughly six months sef. It has lotions and head to toe wash too

Then there's the high end ones.
Chicco
Sebamed
Aveeno
Johnsons (there's the US and the Italy)

Please try to educate them on why Caro White is terrible for anyone one, talk much of a child!

For her hair, there are many hair care ranges for kids.
I usually subscribe to them from when my kids are 6 months old.
There's Maracruiz (tested and trusted, has a whole range too) , Chebe hair care ( Aim07 here sells the whole range and it works! That's what I use for my kids currently and I'm already seeing changes especially with my littlest that has chop chop hair grin)
Then they should get a spray bottle and put water and coconut oil, mix and spray her hair whenever they want to comb her hair.

Well done Daddy.
You're doing well. grin

Good morning ma. I know no one asked you before doing OSUSU. If I had known that doing OSUSU with her would end up like this I wouldn't have done it. If I had seen your post also, I wouldn't have done it. I decided to tag you because I thought that if you talk to her she might listen to you and I didn't even know you've been asked to help someone else on this same issue. I'm also sure that if the mama brought it out like this, the rest of us wouldn't have been victims. I'm sorry if you feel disturbed.
Thanks for your contribution.

I sent your message (the one you sent before you opened this thread) to her via whatsapp, she read it and immediately blocked me.
Nothing to do until she crawls out.

I don't understand this, am sure zaynie will respond once she sees it.

I saw it from day 1.
Please when they wanted to do the Osusu, did they ask me?!
If the Osusu had gone to Plan, would you have called me?!
No.
The one she did before, an NL mama called me to intervene and I did and brought her money out. I felt that would be a warning to others not to fall into it again.

No matter who the person is, always do a background check.
Always.
Run their numbers through
Run their account numbers through.
Run their names through.

But that me, Zainab Aina Orosun will start helping you to dig someone out because you did Osusu with that person especially as I'm not the one that recommended it.
Haaaa, you're on a long thing.

I made a whole long ass post about not putting money in Osusu and rather using Piggy vest.

She'll come out soon enough.
Do what you can to smoke her out.
See all the people pouring salt and pepper, they won't lift a finger to help, this is just fodder to fill their gist thirst.
Go proactive.
You have her bank details, Google how to make a report to flag it.
If you know anyone that works in Telecoms, they can trace her phone number for you.
Don't talk to members of her whatsapp group of your plans, unless you know them personally as they may hint her of your plans.

Kelli, if you're reading this, I don't know what you're going through but hiding and running will do more damage.

Sabi mamas please o. Is it possible for a baby to develop diaper rash from using different brands of diapers?

I've been switching between Huggies and molfix, but I want to try some other brands we were gifted. Someone told me it could cause a rash so I'm scared to use these other brands, but will I let them go to waste? sad

It mostly happens to babies with sensitive skin.
My kids used up all the diapers we were gifted and nothing happened.
The most important thing is to watch the retention of the other brands.
If you used Huggies for like 6h straight, check these ones by thr 4th hr.

Yes oh !
We deliver nationwide.
And she loved every item that was in her bag.
She even wished she bought more grin
When you buy bra from across River Niger and it fits perfectly kiss

And we did free delivery for her in April o.

Read where she wrote about our prices.

For those who aren't convinced, almost all shops are now online.
Even the shops you go to in Idumota, they're all online now and give the same prices for both online and walk in!
