Yeye seller on AE failed to expedite the delivery of 18650 cell holders that I bought. That was before COVID thingy. I lost interest in pursuing it further.

Going forward, I think I need to stock more than enough cell holders.

What's the capacity of your installed BMS that you're able to use it to crank the car and gen?

Is it common port BMS or seperate port BMS?

I used a 60amp bms from AliExpress, but I jump the BMS to start the motors, I don't trust does chinko stuff and I haven't tested using via the BMS,

..I think it's safer tho ..cause I just need to plug the battery for few seconds before disconnect

That too may be a factor in the failure, you can always buy cheap cell wrappers at AE.

I use 18650 cells holder, they create space to prevent shorts and reduce heat. Which is more better I have like 1000 of them gotten from AE.

And I just even use my battery pack to start a car and generator today. Directly.

Talking of not using BMS, here's an 18650 gone ballistic. Note that I've several modules like this working successfully without BMS for months and still going good.

But this one nearly burned down the shed.

The cells ain't insulated that's why

Your fan is non rechargeable dc fan. But for my fan, Is the direct DC via the DC port or battery terminals?

I don't really know, the specs of your fan, but based on my Intel, DC Port is direct DC also the battery terminals is direct DC.

You can take from the cc or use a DC stepdown or better still modify the cc charge voltage.

Yes, the cells are selected base on their closeness to capacity and resistance after the test, also a BMS is installed to monitor the battery discharge and charge rates

I take load straight from the battery, I don't really trust does controller, so to avoid stress and heat.

Yes, sir plus their datasheet are available online, all cells were fully charge, discharge and recharge before assemble

The fan is 40 watts boscon. Seller says 20watts panel is ok to charge it. Though I am thinking of 14ah-20ah battery and 40-60watts panel.

Come to think of it. Why stress myself. Why not just run wire to the rooms from the inverter battery terminals and connect to the battery terminals of the fans. With that I won't need to replace fan battery.

What I did presently is to get 7ah battery and loop to the fan battery port. Only problem is fan can't charge it until inverter is on. I need a system that will charge the fan batteries during sunhours independent of the inverter. Thus whether we are home or not and pit inverter on, solar is charging the fan batteries.

Well it's good if you want to run it off your inverter battery, I just use this setup for DC..so anything connected to it is always 'ON' and I don't need to worry about DOD or some sort.

Also have a separate set-up with inverter which I monitor here and there

The follow come battery is 12v 4.5ah and consumes 40watts. I have replaced the battery with 7ah by extending/passing wire externally to the battery. Now I want to dedicate a panel to it. What size of panel should I get? Thanks

I have something similar like this, it never goes of ..like the fan is running forever 24-7.

I use a 40ah battery, and 150 watt panels and a 30amp chinko charge controller.

With a QASA solar standing fan 24watts(highest speed), I use it for 24-7 never off.. it also power some other stuffs like Laptop and phone charging ( extra 30 watts - when needed)

It have never gone below 12.6-12.7 volt and the battery gets fully charge before 12pm-1pm (even in cloudy or raining weather.

But if you want to build a bigger setup it's always preferable to make it 4s so as to achieve 14.8 norminal volt.

Based on my understanding, overcharging kills li ion battery the most, so you will have no problems Charging up to 3.7 volts and not 4.2
