Hi guys Students are sending me their SOP to review for them and I must say most are not good enough while few are fantastic. SOPs are very important and it shouldn't be more than 2 Max In order not to bother the case officer handling 100s of applications. You don't have to keep repeating you will come back to your country after my studies in all the paragraph. They know most students don't go back and they know the wage and salary payable in our countries and it is hard for someone to pay that amount to study abroad and return to their country and be earning 200k monthly when you can earn 10k dollars in oz. In your interest, you SOP should be more of your experience, knowledge, motivation, achievements, future plans. Sell yourself like we do in job interviews. It is crazy waiting for so long to know the outcome of visa applications. Please if you truly intend to study abroad. Australia is far better in terms of quality of education, standard of living and other stuffs we look forward to go going abroad. If you have submitted and still waiting, please be patient a little, where you are going is nearer than where you are coming from. Australia is far better and there are lots of opportunities here. The minimum wage you get here is around $20 as casual while in Canada they pay like $12 and USA pay like $10. If you intend to apply for visa, it is better you give at least three month before school resumes to apply for your visa to forestall delays. Just be patient, believe me it is worth it and there are lots of Chinese, Indians and other Asians here because they enlighten themselves and encourage others to come and chop the life. We should also research information ourselves before we starting asking questions that have been answered one too many times already. Yes most students are working to pay tuition here, it is possible. By God's grace, it will be joy for all of us. 15 Likes |

StarBj: The sponsor is your mother is very good The bank statement that shows the 5m, what is the three month history like ? Did she just deposit the 5m ? Or she has been maintaining the balance since the last three month ? It will be better if you change the USD to naira to boost the balance to 9m. With 9m you can use her for both school and visa. Also the source of her income and evidences important. It is better you make your application simple and straightforward for the case officer |

blueprint2015: Study gap is not issue if you have proof of work experience during that period. Also, please choose courses that are related to your previous education and work experience. Australia is still nice a little to issue visas to PGD courses unlike Canada. Make sure you explain your educational plans and reasons for choosing PGD instead of the master in your sop. It is advisable you go through the thread from beginning and learn from different experiences of other applicants. |

We should understand that there are lots of checks to be done and it is damn difficult to verify documents issued by most Nigerian authorities. I believe these guys are still fair and when compared to other countries especially Canada and the rest. Most time they are always very patient to process the applications thoroughly before they make their decision and most times their decisions are just because they do want people to come here genuinely. Calling and calling then does little help untill your resumption is close and most times the person that answer their calls will only tell you he will notify the case officers of your inquiry only if your resumption is close. Generally, getting visas are becoming tough for nigerian and the best is to prepare a very good application that makes sense with adequate documents, apply in advance and wait. It is worth it. Very soon, more grants should start coming for Feb intakes by God's grace. 5 Likes |

uckennety: All the reasons are justified for visa purpose, unfortunately your chances of getting grant is low because of GTE and high immigration risk of Nigerians. But my advise for you 1) you should defend the gaps in your education if you won't present your bachelor 2) if you present the bachelor and you are now going for diploma, it is a red flag for GTE 3) if your age is above 25 or 26, it raise suspicion regarding your intention of studying a diploma 4) you should have completed prior courses or education related to your diploma 5) write a strong sop to convince them of your intentions 6) have a good sponsor that is a primary relative 4 Likes |

sistaj: You can submit their application now if you can afford their insurance and visa fees and flight tickets. You do not need to be in oz before you can apply for your dependants. The reason most people wait is because of the expenses involved and time to settle before they arrive. In fact you can even apply for your new born before they make decision on your application as a primary applicant. All the best. |

Blazegab: It is better you get married and quickly update them of the change In your circumstance before they make decision on your application instead of applying fresh for your spouse. Either way is fine, it is just more straightforward if they already have your spouse data when you submit initial application |

kim1212: 1) The course has a cricos, then it is good. No worries 2) why not use only your sister ? She has 58m balance ? 3) aside affidavit, you will need her birth certificate and passport to proof the relationship. 4) do not apply with your spouse yet, apply alone. 5) most important you must back up evidence and reason why you going to a flight school. Example could be your present employment and previous education and courses. 6) finally, if possible use only your sister as your sponsor and make sire you convince them that you really want to be a pilot and not just to get visa. 1 Like |

fowlyansh181: Tuition fee in Australia is high. Channel your energy to the countries recommended and maybe after two years of master you can apply for PhD scholarship to Australia or Canada. Make sure you do better this time. Right status is you are not illegal immigrant. We are only discussing study here. Thanks. |

fowlyansh181: There are European countries that will match that budget of 3 to 4m. The bottleneck is your 3rd class n because they have low tuition and some are free, hence the high competition for admission. Check study thread on Germany and other schengen countries. The countries are not bad if you have the right status. 1 Like |

shevydinho: The relationship you need to prove, you should submit your mum certificate and your aunt birth certificate. Generally the chance of getting visa grant is lower using aunt or uncle instead of the primary relative like your parents, siblings or spouse. |

IkeNdiImo: The agent is right. If the sponsor is your uncle or aunt or brother or sister, you should have evidence of the relationship It is not good enough providing just affidavit and sponsor letter as evidence. You need to show futher documents like marriage certificates and birth certificates etc which are verifiable. Without further evidence it will be too obvious that it was staged and you reduce your Chance. All the best |

fowlyansh181: I don't really see any enticing offers except you get admission and hopefully you also get visa. You might not necessarily need an agent, the process is straightforward and if you can take time to read this thread from beginning you will gain a lot. Most people that used agent are always mandated by the school to use one. |

Teegal42: If it has passed the processing timeline and the school is resuming soon. You should contact them. Unless you applied recently. Most people that got visa recently applied as far back as June and others for Feb also applied as far back June too |

matogbe: Of course information sharing is important and this forum is helping lots of people and we learn more when others share their experiences. People have been doing that on this thread and it is wrong to say people are not helping others on this thread. But stupid questions are: List of schools in Australia ? What is the address of the embassy in south africa ? List of cheap schools in Australia ? People going to study abroad should know how to get simple answers to simple questions. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Most of the questions asked by people shows most of us are very lazy and we just want to be served at all times It is better if we endeavour to make adequate research and most of the questions have been answered if only we can spend few hours to read through the thread. The world has really improved to the extent that Google has most of the answers instead of waiting on others. For crying out loud we all want to travel to developed countries which defers to naija and it is essential we start cultivating th habit of being independent. 5 Likes |
