This is not to seem insensitive but drug prices are expensive everywhere. The corporations producing these drugs are in the profit business. Their sole aim is profit maximization and not healing the sick or whatever noble purpose we may think. Which is why it is always advisable to have an insurance plan especially to cover health. I wish you the best but please, sign up for the NHIS plan. God bless. |
theyongest:This your input highlights my point. Your focus being "premium face-to-face apartment in a highbrow community or as a corporate residence" tells me this is yet another way to make as much money as possible while using the smallest input possible. Such a building will compete with hotels for the corporate residence aspect and for the highbrow part, it would easily signify the lowest income earners in said highbrow area. Whereas, I could live in my overpriced BQ in a highbrow area and pretend I belong, living in a known "low cost" alternative won't let me maintain that charade. There's no PR fix to the fact that people live in highbrow areas for a reason. A face-to-face apartment would defeat that purpose. The only way such apartments work is in a low income area of society. And that explains the current situation. You can't spend too much because you have to consider what the market is willing to pay for. If it's too pricey, you won't recoup your investment. |
Nigeria is filled with classists that proclaim their love for the masses but will eventually demean any efforts to provide for the masses. Face-to-face apartments are a good solution to the housing crisis. Cheap and fits a large number of individuals on relatively small piece of land. Any solution to the housing crisis that has not incorporated face-to-face apartments is just another money grab that will eventually become too expensive for the supposed target market. Yes, you are right. A little bit of PR, a better design and you will get a solution to overpriced houses. But any touch on the design will eventually make it more expensive. We all know the price differentials between a single room (boys quarter apartments) and a self contained apartment even in the same compound. |
This is an unfair judgement. The error was caused by a technical glitch, why is she being punished? |
FreeIgboho:2 out of 8. Is that majority? Or you don't know how to read? |
This is not surprising. But the aim is to place Nigeria into that list in the next decade. |
FreeIgboho:Can you provide evidence of this? Or are you just saying random things to seem smart? |
It is not until you realize that racism is a thing and the people you desperately want to go to their land don't want you, before you realize that Nigerians are not worse than any other group of people. Whatever crime you justify the condemnation of Nigerians for, understand that "they" do it worse. |
Apcshit:There's no need for this. Remain with your religion and stop with unsolicited advice. |
Infrastructural development is mostly tied to loans with a repayment because the interest it yields is show over a long period of time and there is no need to tie up cash for such a period of time. Even Dangote borrowed to finance the refinery. Financing infrastructure isn't stupid, it is the recommended path. Let us not rush to condemn everything. |
People without economic and fiscal knowledge don't know or don't want to appreciate what this government has done. Things would have been worse if those steps you criticize had not been carried out. |
You people will have small money and start beefing the country where you made it. If you can make #7m here, why do you not believe you can make more? Business is tough to handle. It becomes even more difficult in an entirely different environment. I wonder why you can't just invest your money on the source that made you the initial source here? |
Crime doesn't pay. Never do it. No matter how long you escape, you are bound to meet your Waterloo someday. I trust the Nigerian Police to fish him out in no time. |
When the lizard jumps down from a tree and see no one to recognize him, he nods and approves of himself. Good one. Blow your trumpet, you deserve. The name Yemi Solade is a name I've heard all my life and I appreciate the fact that he is still going strong. |
Mrfixitt:Don't speak on what you don't understand. Learn to accept you don't have enough knowledge to speak on a subject matter. |
It's not in her place to enforce the order. There's a process. Although, I do not understand why she appears in a hurry. If the court truly rules in her favour, she will be reinstated in good time. And all benefits accruing to that position would be returned. So why the drama? |
nairalanda1:My initial comment is premised on the statement issued by ADC. A serious political party shouldn't comment on increased GDP in such a manner. I expected that their issue should be on the fact that the measures used was rebased. |
nairalanda1:Food prices are only a concern for the government on the macroeconomic level. Being able to afford it depends on the individual |
All the comments above me are from Hypocrites. Condemn others for not practicing ATR but I'm sure you don't practice it as well. |
Consider cultural differences before you Japa. A lot of things that you used to here may not be allowed someone else. This is not because these practices are bad. It just means your new community don't want it. |
ADC's target are illiterates and people that only care about food. That's pathetic. Reducing a whole country to people that only need food. |
I wonder how long it would be before you run out of Lagos content. I'm not trying to hate but you should space your content. And switch it up too. Maybe write about something else. |
There's no such thing as money ritual. How people still believe in it is a phenomenon I can't explain. |
SmartPolician:Not for fuel. The fuel is highly price elastic. People won't stop buying fuel because it is more expensive. Also, tax has a fixed percentage for levels of income. If Profit before Tax is higher than usual, profit after tax will also be higher than usual. Don't be so authoritative on topics you know little about. |
At the end of the day, these are people's children, brothers, fathers, uncles and sons. Also remember that as soldiers, they can't refuse orders. |
This reads like a target piece. Why is the writer so focused on this person? Why does it need to be an article in a nationwide publication especially when this paper is essence can't affect the already filed lawsuit? |
hatchy:You people don't understand Economics and it shows. 1) Why are you so particular about land in "choice areas"? Why not land in the outskirts? 2) Would the government give it out for free? Or would the developers give it out for free? If you expect the developers to pay for it, why can't they negotiate with the owners of the land directly? And lastly, do you know the uproar it would cause if the government starts seizing land? What criteria would be chosen to decide who gets the land? How do you convince people that criteria is just and transparent? |
Imagine questioning the intellect of a Professor, a former CBN governor and a current governor because he called out the lie of someone? If that's not a cult, I don't know what is. |
Every day I read the comment section on NL, I question myself. This platform is consistently filled with low IQ comments that makes you feel your time on this platform is a waste of time. Something should be done to the level of conversation here. I feel smarter people should contribute and not just leave this platform to cretins that can't think beyond party affiliation. @seun and everyone else in charge. Please, bring back the deactivation function. You shouldn't hold people hostage on your platform. A user should be able to close his account on any platform. |
baghera:I doubt you are. You didn't have to provide the information. |
It must hurt this woman that she blew her chance with Tinubu. I know she must regret falling out with him. For the last few years, anytime you hear her talk, you just know it must be about Tinubu. She must see him in her dreams. |
