He said it was in a box belonging to Sir Dee that was in the trash so he asked who owned it but he didn't ask any of the team members in person who owned it, he asked and since tacha and khafi didn't reply or any of the remaining three he put it back in the trash.

I think his mistake was not mentioning that he picked it from the trash initially and so will return it back where it was. I feel that's what frodd angry thinking he decided to trash it.

Khafi kept her pepper soup in sir Dee's darling box. She accused Mike of spilling her pepper soup and asked him to clean it up. They had an argument after which Mike argeed to clean up for peace to reign. In the course of cleaning he found the band in the box.
Khafi has been pissed at his behaviour since then , Tacha told khafi repeatedly that she should ignore that Mike is drunk and this is not his normal self.
Personally I don't think he is drunk but high and would have handled the situation better on a normal day

Ps it wasn't in the trash but in the box he had to trash cos pepper soup poured inside it
