Who noticed the campaign inscription (PBAT) on the cap of our supporters club yesterday?
Is such activity allowed in our National team?

TheSuperNerd:
Kenneth Igboke. Former Flying Eagles LB at the 2024 Wafu B U20 which we won. He did not make the final WC Squad for the 2025 U20 Afcon and Fifa U20 WC due to injury or form and had to be replaced by Odinaka Okoro (Sporting lagos), another really good RB prospect.

He plays for Enugu Rangers. And this is not his first callup to the Super Eagles. His first came in 2024.

This will definitely not be his last call up.
Aside Azeez, the #3 was very impressive. Very smooth in interception, passing and overlapping. Suitable for Spanish kind of football

Can we start our own protest the NFF board must be dissolved now for incompetence.

Damioduso1:
NFF x DRC Protest - This is a scandal: A must-read with a proper context ⬇️

By Kunle Solaja.

Nigeria’s hopes of returning to the FIFA World Cup have finally collapsed after it emerged that the country’s protest against the eligibility of some players used by the Democratic Republic of Congo in last year’s African play-off was dismissed on procedural grounds. Sports

The protest followed Nigeria’s defeat to the DR Congo national football team in the decisive African play-off match for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, played on November 16, 2025, at the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco. The match ended 1–1 after regulation and extra time before the Congolese side prevailed in a sudden-death penalty shootout.

In the weeks after the match, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) raised concerns about the eligibility of several Congolese players, alleging irregularities in the issuance of passports that enabled them to feature in the encounter.

However, an inside source within FIFA, the world football governing body, has disclosed that the Nigerian protest did not meet the procedural requirements for it to be considered by FIFA’s judicial bodies.

According to the source, the NFF’s complaint was received by FIFA on November 28, 2025, nearly two weeks after the match in Rabat.

Under the Regulations Governing the Preliminary Competition for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, protests regarding player eligibility must follow strict timelines.

“Article 8 of the FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition Regulations outlines the strict procedures for filing match protests.”

Article 8 of the regulations stipulates that any protest must first be communicated to the match commissioner within two hours of the completion of the match, and then followed by a detailed written submission within 24 hours.

The article states:
“Protests regarding the eligibility of players selected for matches in the preliminary competition shall be submitted in writing within two hours of the match and followed by a full written report within 24 hours.”

Because Nigeria’s protest was submitted on November 28 for a match played on November 16, it fell well outside the allowable window.

The source further revealed that the mandatory protest fee of 1,000 Swiss francs, which must accompany such submissions, was also not paid. As a result, the case was not formally processed by FIFA’s judicial bodies.

“The appeal that was widely reported was never actually entertained by the FIFA judicial authorities because it did not meet the procedural requirements,” the source explained, adding that the NFF was formally informed of the situation on March 9, 2026.

It took another week before the body made the decision known, indirectly with a claim of appeal of the judgment.

Simple Protest, our NFF no Sabi. Lord have mercy

Onyeka is on yellow card and tired, what is the coach waiting for? Is he afraid of repeating the mistake against Tunisia?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Zellas: 10:45pm On Dec 27, 2025
I ask again, who invited this boy as a defender?
As if that was not enough, you subtitute Onyeka foe Ejuke, what a joke.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Zellas: 8:47pm On Dec 27, 2025
If Awazie cannot bench Osayi, what exactly was he invited for?
There are players you see in the lineup and you just get demoralized.
Well I blame who invited them in the first place.

Ejuke is not the best sub for NOW, just remove iwobi and wewill be fine.
What exactly is he doing in the pitch

Dear Chelle,
Pls Lookman must not start the next game, and you dare not play ONLY Ndidi-Iwobi in the midfield against either Cameron or Congo

Gabon is just afraid of us, they would have utilized our empty midfield.
Remove Akor and fortify our midfield and we will have different options of scoring.
Remove Lookman for Simon for more supply to Osimhen and more defensive duty.
Remove iwobi for any player even defender.

[quote author=Procashtips post=137407942]According to Sahara reporters, Katsina United fan slit a player's throat for equalizing.

https://saharareporters.com/2025/11/08/breaking-katsina-united-fans-slit-players-throat-equalising-goal-npfl-match?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwN8dzVjbGNrA3x3DWV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDDM1MDY4NTUzMTcyOAABHmoKE_T34guvAlRe3ptUjD_-b11PCT-bb8F7y7BFjD6imAY3dFjRaLuAZIHo_aem_frHYzcBabgCdDzjnletsuQ

I suggest that NFF should divide NPFL into North and South. The Northern clubs play within themselves and Southern clubs play within themselves, and then play supper 8 at the end of the league to determine the overall champion and continental representatives.

This format will curtail the dangers that some clubs suffer in traveling and playing away in the North.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Zellas: 8:16pm On Nov 08, 2025
We should be worried about our defence especially the right back.
Why inviting Awazie and Osai at the same time. Bright Osai is a bench warmer from Fernebache to Birmingham city and Awazie can not be trusted.

Whats all the delay in releasing the list for?

Iwobu is a very fantastic player but I didn't expect him to start.
SA players are fast with good passing, so we need players that can mark and disrupt their flow in the midfield.
Also we have wingers that can easily lose possession through dribbling, such situation will always put our midfield under pressure, hence you don't need iwobi in such game.
Good luck to SE.

I doubt if NFF has this record as clear as you have it.
It's high time we start nominating candidates to be appointed into NFF strategic offices, if that's what it takes for them to know the right candidates.
Our major problem in this country is bad leadership, and I believe the youth can change that narrative through sports because it is ours.

minfelix:
yellow card update heading into Tuesday match

1st game home vs Lesotho
-Semi Ajayi

2nd game, away vs zimbabwe
-Calvin Bassey,
-Jamilu Collins
- sadiq umar

3rd game home vs South Africa
-Bright Osayi Samuel

4th game away vs Benin
-Sadiq Ismail

5th game away vs Rwanda
-Tolu Arokodare
-Ndidi

6th match home vs Zimbabwe
There were no yellow card for Nigeria

7th match home vs Rwanda
-Nwabali

So far that has been our yellow card record in this qualifying race

Now against SA the following players have to be careful

-Bright Osayi Samuel
-Tolu Arokodare
-Ndidi
-Nwabali
if they pick yellow against SA they will all have to miss the away game against lesotho in October🙏 T for thanks

If Nigeria fail to qualify for the WC, NFF should be blamed and not anybody else.
Their delays in appointing coaches, appointing wrong coaches in a critical time and poor strategic preparations is the problem.

Why should SA be playing this match a day before ours? A win today will give them a psychological advantage.
Resting a day before preparing for our game gives them physical advantage.
Playing all their games at home is what I cannot understand.
It's obvious that we are only banking on luck in everything while other countries are playing smart.

Good tournament.
Gave us the chance to access fringe players, now the experiment should be over.
On the side of the coach, Chelle needs to restructure how we defend. His team just can't defend when it matters most and conceeds cheaply. He's young and obviously learning on the job, but must not continue making the same mistake all the time. Two man midfield weakens our team and must not be continued.
I like what I saw in Uche and he should be considered in a 3man midfield.
This team must not miss WC

Things we need going forward;
1. A Sound coach (let Government pay him from our fuel subsidy, that's the only way the whole Nigeria will benefit from it.
2. A right wing back to compete with Aina (Ehizibue)
3. Attacking midfielder to compete with Iwobi (Chrisantus Uche)
4. A right winger to compete with Chukwueze
5. A motivator to stir up the intimidating Nigerian spirit in them (a former super eagle player)

What happened to Dele Bashiru, I had so much hope on that guy.
Osayi has not done anything in SE.
Iheanacho's best is in the past.
Ekong, a good player, but those long passes are not working and must be stopped because its giving our opponents undue build up advantage.

Best performers;
Bruno, Simon, Onyedika and Osho

Thank God for the free points that Libya gave us, that's all I can say for now.

I watched South African match against Uganda and I can say this for sure, With Eguavoen in charge of this team, there's no way we will qualify for WC.

We missed the chance to appoint a good local and foreign coach, but let's see how the NFF responds to this embarrassment.

It doesn't matter the opponent, Ndidi /iwobi midfield can never win any match
Why always experimenting what is not working when you have other options
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Zellas: 2:47am On Oct 12, 2024
I still can't understand why non of our players protested the Lookman's disallowed goal.
If this refrees can treat us this way in our home games, what will happen when we play in a crucial away matches.
A lot of favtors are playing against Nigerian football lately, including our age grade football and it seems nobody is paying attention to it.
Could this be the effect of having many foreign born players?
Not even the captain nor our bench could protest such decision.
Waiting for one coach to fail to employ another shouldn't be the only duty of this NFF.

First time I am watching Dele Bashiru play and I am not impressed one bit. Iwobi is much better
The young man has been every where in the pictch, defending and attaching, so its normal for him to get tired towards the end of the first half.

Despite the scoreline, this is the best first half of SE in many years.

The subtitutions are bad
Revert to 433, remove one defender and bring in a midfielder to stabilize and support Ndidi and iwobi.
With a balanced midfield any player we have upfront can do the job.
Replacing a player of kind to kind is a sign of no solution.
NFF must do the needful NOW

Finidi is not a coach.
From the selection to the formation.
The players has no clear idea what they want to do when in posession and when defending.
Once you have a little good performance boom in the starting lineup.
He even invited injured players.
What a country, what a coach

When Onyedika started against Mali, how did he fare?
Onyedika is good, but pairing him with Ndidi might not be a good idea. I would have preferred pairing Onyedika and Onyeka midfield while Ndidi pairs with Ajayi in CD, Bassey LB a d Osayi RB.

Good luck to the Eagles anyways.

It will be beautiful watching Awaziem and Bassey build possession from the back, if they are given the nod to start.
Go and rewatch that match, over 80% of Awaziem's passings are backwards which led to one of the Malian goals.

The invited defenders is simply not balanced, but let's give Finidi a benefit of doubt and pray he doesn't make a costly mistake at this point.

After reading some comments here about Amunike even before he's officially announced as the coach, I can not but weep for the future of Nigeria.
Someone just put up a disputable story to tarnish the image of another, just to support his sentiment and to influence the gullibles.
This is a crab mentality that will always keep the system stagnated, but give the haters only the fulfillment of saying I SAID IT.
It doesn't matter how far you travel on a wrong route, you will never arrive to a right destination.
