chimex38: Connections with the underworld
Raymond Reddington of Blacklist comes to mind. No one does it better than him. #The Blacklist I've just looked up "The Blacklist", not having heard of it before. A hardcore, ruthless tv thriller series. But I had retired from devouring crime fiction by the time it came out for the entertainment of your generation. |

I thought they said this month. It is packaged and ready. The ceremonies did not start today. But crediting it now will drop the price further nearer to PH. There are merciless sellers who will chase a defenceless stock all the way down to the car park if they can see buyers. |

Regarding the bolded, I want the next Pope to be more spiritual and less of a political activist. I saw him on tv yesterday at Easter Sunday appearance, waving hand and blessing people, albeit very weak. He had met with the US VP hours previously, and with the English King days earlier. Which means he was on duty to the very end, and bowed out most gracefully. He was a truely great Pope and great man. My remark in the last paragraph above focuses on the next Pope, and stands. |

Raider76: I am so happy I dumped all of my Oando shares at N71.95 on Feb 5th, just after they announced the crazy 1 for 12 share redistribution. I sold the next day, on the 6th, at roughly the same price. I chose to forfeit the bonus myself, and, instead, to utilize the strength provided by those positioning for the bonus to dump my own. But I re-entered at km 63, and I'm still swimming and sinking with that one. Thank God I re-entered light weight, though I've been adding some tasere units on the way down hill. My major hope on that is that Q1 Result will remind the market that Oando remains a golden Empire undergoing scaling up. Since the days of ConocoPhillips acquisition, my portfolio had never been completely void of Oando units. I may discontinue that policy the day it crosses km 200, or if the wind of delisting returns. |

If they fold hands and allow Oando to drop to 30 or below, then there must be an agenda to it. Very likely delisting is back on the table. The lower the market price, the easier to buy out the outsiders. |

Even Trump don dey mellow. I've just been watching a CNN reporting on this where we're reminded that the cowboys of some these companies like Apple, Dell donated millions to his inauguration ceremony. GeneralDae: Even $50 is not good for U.S. They are now net exporters of crude and some in the U.S oil industry have also argued they don’t want crude that low. OPEC+ members like Russia and Brazil are also lamenting low oil prices because it would affect them greatly so I believe and hope oil prices do not get to $50. Oil around that price is sure recession for all oil dependent economies, so you should highlight that 'hope' again for the sake of Nigerians who don't know what is encroaching. |

Even Trump don dey mellow. That one is from lobbying at home. Didn't you hear that Apple airlifted home cargo planes of phones, was it yesterday, to try and beat some of the tariff payment? And while at that, lobbying also must have continued day and night, through Trump's many friends in Big Business. |

Take position for an impressive Q1 result that will reflect the impact of new assets and boost hope that debts will be repaid off one day. But keep an eye on crude oil. Oil stock cannot be heading to Sokoto while oil price is nosediving to PH. |

GeneralDae: No. Ours was because we had just around $4 Billion in net external reserves at the end of 2023. Even if CBN wanted to defend the currency as at early 2024, they had little to nothing to defend it with and could only cry and blame Binance then because traders saw the CBN wasn’t pumping in dollars and they took advantage of it taking it to 1600/1900 levels as at Feb 2024.
China has more production and exports than any other country on earth and as a result they have the biggest foreign currency reserves in the world ( their USD reserves is over $3 trillion). They make trade surpluses in trillions of dollars which even U.S doesn’t make.
That means Chinese currency should be the strongest in the world but the Chinese Government deliberately devalues it in order for their exports to remain cheap. Their USD reserves, where is it kept? |

Ades1: Most of these companies do not have factories in China! China does not allow foreigners own things! It is usually a joint venture kind of deal.
Apple has a manufacturing agreement with Foxconn, same applies with almost all if not all the other companies you listed.
The first American company to fully own and build a factory in China was Tesla.
I am sure there are other companies like Foxconn in other parts of the world ready to eat their lunch.
America will win by any means necessary That's exactly how technology transfer happened. |

Mpeace: I just read something on an international news medium and I am now convinced that all trump did was market manipulation. The said news medium also claimed that Trump himself literally gaveva buy signal before suspending the tariff.
Bought a few Aradel yesterday on full offer. Instant 10%. I also know many bought oando at very low price... Congratulations on your Aradel coup. But your international media manipulation news is conspiracy theory, mixed with Trump Derangement Syndrome, plus fake news. Trump cannot toy with the economic destiny of the world just for his personal MH or insider dealing. You should do a test to see if there is too much stocks in your blood, since you believed this. The US President is the most consequential world leader and there is much more to the affairs of the world than stocks dealing. |
