Business / Re: How To Start A Manufacturing Company In Nigeria by zenith123: 8:26pm On May 07, 2015
wilsonl:
Have you ever heard about the sayings that Nigeria is a consumer-driven economy? The Manufacturing sector in Nigeria is currently growing faster than the telecommunications, oil and gas and agricultural sectors. Nigeria’s large population of upwardly mobile consumers, coupled with investments in power, implies that the strong growth of manufacturers, including food producers and breweries, is sustainable. Manufacturers in ….Nigeria had attributed the remarkable increase recorded in capacity utilization within the last year to favorable government policies, especially with respect to industry, trade and investment. Manufacturing in Nigeria also potentially provides you more leverage from your investment of money than many other categories of business. Since you are adding value to raw materials, equipment, and capital costs, you can often be quite profitable.

How to start manufacturing in Nigeria:

Manufacturing can be challenging, but the rewards can be great — both emotionally and financially.
The first and the most important of all is, of course, an idea. I often hear people say, I need to make money and my question is, are you the government? It is absolutely illegal to make money. This idea- that you need to make money to have it – limits you to believing you must trade time for money. Quit thinking about making money and think in terms of collecting it. When you trade something of value with the public you will get money in return. However, if you are interested in how to start your own manufacturing business you most likely already know what you would like to produce. Nevertheless, it is crucial that you are absolutely sure that the product you wish to produce is actually needed. After all, you have to sell your product if you want to succeed. There are no guarantees that people will like your product, however, this is a risk every entrepreneur needs to take.

Things to do first:

• Idea about what to Manufacture
• Research on the products and its target market
• Find the location for your factory and office
• Register your company with the corporate affairs of Nigeria
• Raise funds from Loans, Savings, SMEs funding program, Donations.
• Buy the Machines needed (preferably from India or China).
• Assemble the Machines
• Employ few worker at first
• Start Manufacturing
• Promote your Products
• Sell Your products

He's unfortunately gonna be a scapegoat. No judge will treat the first corruption judgement under Buhari with levity (e.g plea bargain) since it will set a precedence for subsequent cases including Diezani's.

You are right. The judge has the final say though!

He may not go to jail only if he can provide the evidence that Al Qaeda and ISIS sponsored GMB election campaign as he claimed in March.
If he can't provide the evidence then he deserve to go to prison.
Infact, it would be great to see him serve his jail term in Kosere prison in Ile Ife so that when he is doing his hard labour some youth will learn from his example to be discrete with the words that come out of their mouth.
Nnewi prison will be good for him too so that the young people there can ask him about Bianca.

The worst part for him is that PDP will not be in power by then. If he is really found guilty....hmmmmmmm I wonder ohhhhhhhh...

A Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed judgment for June 18, 2015, in the trial of a former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, charged with money laundering.
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, gave the order while ruling on an application of objection filed by Fani-Kayode’s Counsel, Mr Ifedayo Adedipe (SAN), challenging the competence of the charges.
Fani-Kayode, whose trial began in 2008 was accused on 40 counts of laundering about N100 million while he was the Minister of Culture and Tourism and later, the Minister of Aviation.

The laundered sum was, however, reduced to N2.1 million on Nov. 17, 2014 after the 38 of the 40 counts was dismissed for want of proof.

At the resumed hearing on Monday, counsel to Fani-Kayode, Mr Ifedayo Adedipe, urged the court to dismiss the two-count charge against the accused and also discharge and acquit him.

He told the court that the defence relied and adopted its final written address filed on April 7, and its reply on point of law to the prosecution’s written address, dated April 27.

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, while fixing judgment for June 18, also granted an application to substitute Wale Ajisebutu with Ogbor Elliota as surety for Fani-Kayode.

Will he be found guilty or not? Let the Judge decide.

Politics / The Tragedy Of African Mentality By Pro. PLO Lumumba ( The Best Speech Ever) by zenith123: 12:17pm On Apr 25, 2015
One of the Best Speech every made by a Political Activist in Africa. Professor Patric Loch Otieno Lumumba is a lawyer by profession and a political activist. He is known widely in east Africa as the Martin Luther King of Africa. He has made a lot of motivating speeches about the African Mentality that draws Africa back from development and the corruption in Africa.

He was made the Director of Kenyan Anti Corruption Commission in September 2010 and due to his strong stand against corruption just like the Nihu Ribadu of Nigeria. He was Ousted as the President of Anti corruption Commision of Kenya in August 2011. He arrested some top corrupt politicians that resulted in his removal and he pointed out after that the corrupt politicians are so organized that they can do anything to steal the people money and protect themselves.

These are one of his Quotes.

We live in a continent where we celebrate thieves and vilify innocent people .

We have doctors who we trained but when we are sick, particularly the politician class, we rush to London because we have no faith in our doctors and hospitals. For corruption has eaten a deep root in our system that we cannot imagine the state of the National hospital.

We elect thieves on the basics of ethnicity or the deepness of their pockets and yet we expect them to do good.

That which is sound must be recognized for its soundness and that which is weak must be recognized for its weakness.

We elect thieves, hyenas to take care of goats and when the goats are consumed we wonder why.
