It's so obvious how pained many losers are in this forum. Twisting every public statement to suit their sorry state. The guest on that edition of sunrise daily even belongs to that class. The balanced posture of Channels tv has earned it the most viewed news channel in Nigeria. Must everything be given partisan colouration? |

kolnel: The abolition of fixed charges makes it desirable Or how do you describe paying 750 mandatory on an imaginary light every month Nlc should fight a better fight Well on point bro. The congress leadership seems lost in the happenings around the power sector. People-oriented labour union would have relentlessly agitated for the removal of that "fixed charge". Instead they allowed politics to becloud their primary purpose of existence. Integrity and dialogue are hallmarks of labour unionism. NLC should pls rebrand to march current dispensation. Events in their last leadership elections are still fresh on the minds of many Nigerians. |

I find it hard to comprehend why many Nigerians live in self denial. Believing so strongly in unsustainable approach to issues with long term problems/effects. The environmental degradation which is a key point for the N/D struggle is even more perpetuated recently by people from the region. The contractors among them arm twist the IOC's to get cleanup/restoration contracts then do next to nothing in the affected areas. This has been the trend since the arms struggle. Some others are into oil theft and illegal refining. Any sane Nigerian regardless of ethnic background would almost weep on seeing the level of degradation going on in the creeks under guise of "na we land, na we oyel". |

Delta has the best potential to become number 1 destination for investors in Nigeria . This great potential is damaged mainly due to the negative attitudes of most of its youths and those who claim to be their leaders. E.g Why should a coy that wants to execute a project which would impact positively on the majority be asked to pay "Deve" or pack and go? It is pathetic. Deltans be wise! |

EdwinOse, I can't agree less on your point. Chasing shadows has been the best acheivements of many Nigerians especially our youths. Allowing themslves to be used and dumped by our common enemies-self-serving politicians. Most people fail to see that Nigerian politicians can do whatever it takes to remain in power even selling the future of their cheerleaders. No truthful Nigerian can differentiate between members of PDP from those in APC in attributes! |

After that, we'll have to look to Germany for cars that will arrive Nigeria before the ban on importation of used vehicles comes into effect.
Contact: kakakibuy@hotmail.com Hi, I forgot to add manual transmission to my preference. Was there actually statement from the govt to outrightly ban importation of used vehicles? |

Car Talk › Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Zeroid105: 11:17am On Nov 19, 2013 |
kuntash: almost 500km with a fuel tank of 62-65 litres, I think its very very fair.
its also good to note that whether its a V6 - C280 or a straight -4, the diff between them in MPG are small.
just as I have stated in the BMW forum, same applies for 3.0 litre & 2.5 litre of BMW E46, you can seldom notice difference in their consumption ofcourse when everything works the way they should.
Moreso, our petrol here are of poor quality, if u wanna know, get a tokunbo ride thats never tasted naija fuel and take the fuel in the tank for lab test... u would know what I am talking..
the problem of most Benz as from w202 is that most of its emission and combustion systems are vacuum dependent, and as the car goes old, these tubes, hoses tend to degrade and thus causing a leak.. sometimes these could pose a big challenge whilst tracing the cause of your leak.
however, when the system is really air-tight with no single leak, you can achieve good fuel-mileage that can even surpass many Asian cars. Fibre and plastic materials on post early/mid 90's german vehicles are made to expire within shorter periods compared to those used by asian vehicle manufacturers. Similar trend is obtained on electronics. The german plastic/rubber become brittle as it ages. The manufacturers of these components actually stamp the dates on these parts as a guide. Performance critical components as vaccum hoses, coolant hoses, pipes and seals fall in these category. Hence the reason for complains from many owners of german cars(in the aforementioned category). The competence level of our Naija techs is another horror. This is futher compounded if the vehicle owner does not know JACK about his/her car. |

FRSC and VIO's should wake up to their statutory responsibilites in order to justify their continous existence. Their principal role which are often neglected, is to ensure safety on Nigerian roads. The new head of FRSC is busy putting all his inteligence on matters that bother more on security(number plates)rather than safety. There is no gain saying he is in that for the commercial benefits. He should work out a method of screening all drivers on Nigerian roads- theoritical and practical aspects of defensive driving; carrying out random alcohol and drugs tests on drivers on our roads. VIO's(who are hardly seen these days)are to conduct and track periodic tests(MOT)of all vehicles on our roads- especially those that are commercial. Proper and effective implementation of these few steps will go a long way in averting many preventable accidents on our roads. May the souls of the departed RIP. Amen |

Guy, that '05 EOD should have been on same route with '05 330i or even 325i. 328i ended in '2000/01. Bimmers are racing machines. Damatians get sick when not as active as they should, so are the BIMMERS. xerotop: the bmw 335i is fast, but i dont think it can put up with the audi a8. u r talking abt a 4.2 ltr v8 twin turbo against a 3.0 ltr I6 twin turbo. u dont stand a chance mr youngboss. i once had a race with a friend from bauchi to jos with my e46 '01' 328i and his '05 accord EOD v6. the accord flawed my e46 on a staight line, but for the bends on jos road frm bauchi, he couldnt cope. bmws r made for the curves, and dats y i wont drive anything else. my friend wld av been late if he had not accepted his fate.
but i tell u those japs r fast especially the v6, germans all d way |
