PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by ZeroTolerance: 3:22pm On Jun 28, 2015
biafrandream:
No sir, I am not an arm chair analyst. I am a street or field man. I go out there to see things for myself when I have the opportunity. Last time I was in Nigeria, I visited Nsukka. As an undergraduate, I visited most parts of Nsukka zone because 90% of my friends are from that area.

Nwanaa, I am not against building of rural roads. I will be very happy if the government asphalts every road in my village but we know that will remain a pipe dream, at least for years to come because government bughet is lean.

What I am saying is that our demand from the government should run pari pasu with the resources available to the said government and limited resources should be channeled to where they are mostly needed.
Since majority of the roads in Enugu city are already in good condition, what do you suggest he governor do? Demolish and rebuild them? You are not making sense sir. On what basis do you decide where the roads are mostly needed? Do you realise that more people will gladly remain in the rural areas if they can get basic amenities like good roads there?
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by ZeroTolerance: 2:22pm On Jun 28, 2015
biafrandream:
I agree that he should also work on Nsukka zone. As for rural roads, it's a waste of resources sinking billions of naira to build roads where few people live while the urban roads that cater for heavy traffics on daily basis are dilapidated.

How many of those who want rural roads to be tarred at the expense of the more useful urban roads actually live in the village or are ready to relocate to the village even if all the roads there get tarred. Nonetheless some selected rural roads that are not motorable should be built to ease transportation of farm produce to urban centres.

We should put our priorities right to avoid economic waste, especially now that people are paying taxes. The resources available to the state government is very limited and this is where prioritizing government projects and expenses comes handy.
Are you one of those that just sit in an armchair faraway and make conclusions? Do you think Enugu has more population than all the rural areas put together? Nsukka alone will give Enugu a good run for her money in terms of population and the people who live there also deserve a comfortable life. What about the agricultural products that come from the rural areas? Going by your reasoning, the governor can even start demolishing already good roads in Enugu and rebuilding them rather than build or repair anyone in the rural areas.

I love this news. I want to see Emene, Abakpa and Gariki Awkunanaw transformed. If it be possible, no place should be better than the other.
He should remember his place Nsukka, it is roadless. His government should focus a bit on the rural areas.

The more you yorubas write about Biafra, the more you are helping to sell it to the minority of Igbos and SS who are on the fence. I can't stress enough; you are making Nnamdi Kanu 's job easy.
Another fool just attached South South to the matter. Una no dey shame?

I had my doubts about uniport degrees with the way Jona and wife ran Nigeria but Wike just confirmed my fears as a law graduate of uniport to make a mockery of the supreme court. To even think that his wife is a judge.SMH Govt house is not inter-state motor park.
Buhari a coup plotter got entitlements as a former President for years. All the former illegal military heads of state are part of the council of state. Why would Omehia who was duly elected by his people not be recognised as a former governor?

When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.

They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country!

But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria.

Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT!
Nna must you mention southern minorities?

we don't have commisioner of environment in the state,we anambrarians don't have sanitation culture, how many times have they held weekend clean ups in the state, even when they announced it,people feel reluctant to participate..and just like the name implies"home for all"that dumb site at owerri road is being used by our neighbouring states(asaba, northern imo etc because of the close proximity)
It's the job of the Ministry of environment and the waste management agency to dispose the waste, orientate people and also punish those who go against the rules. It worked in PH, Enugu and Lagos.
PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by ZeroTolerance: 7:46am On Jun 21, 2015
Onitsha needs serious clean up, not looking good at all.
Far bigger cities even within Nigeria manage their wastes properly, why not Onitsha?

PoliticsRe: Buhari Orders Disposal Of Nine Presidential Aircraft To Cut Cost by ZeroTolerance:
The last goverment was said to be corrupt, wasteful etc but we can still point to one or two things they did with the money. This one is said to be honest and frugal, but we are yet to see what they are doing with the saved money. Where is the money going to? Before you know it four years is gone with nothing on ground but image making stories.

Iheanacho can go and rest now and refresh himself ahead of Man City's pre-season tour. Bright future. Bad belle people can continue to writh in pain.
