in other places in the world soldiers don't come out of their baracks to harass civilians or get involved in civilian matters or even government, FYI the military and police induction oath is very similar. But the military being exposed to politics and have ensured that legislation positions the profession to be elevated beyond its ideal societal role as seen in other countries.
