PoliticsRe: North Should Not Forget That Tinubu Helped Buhari Become President - Yari by zeyt: 7:07am On Dec 24, 2025

You're wrong Jonathan didn't want to remove subsidies but rather he just wanted to increase the price which is not the solution especially to pms smuggling . Jonathan regime experience the oil boom when crude per barrel was selling for over one hundred and ten dollars but with all that we didn't see anything he did with it ,instead at end of the day his government resulted to borrowing money to pay workers salary.

Yes Tinubu removed the pms subsidies on the inauguration day, which the two other top presidential contestants in the last election also promise to do if voted for.

You people will always refer to the so called saint clime where things work and social amenities are available but you fail to realize that it's through payment of taxes those things were made available. Even this new tax law if you have taken your time to go through it with an open mind, you will not come to the conclusion that it's a burden on citizens especially the low income earners.

For your information Tinubu has cleared many debts Nigeria was owing and embarked on provisions of many infrastructures and many social interventions.

Inflation is coming down through stability in foreign exchange market and pms price per litter coming down almost every week.

We are practicing open and free multi party democracy, where one is free to join and associate with any party of his or her choice without intimidation, those that are crossing to the rulling party must has seen the benefits of doing so hence joining with their own free will.
Petrol subsidy removal proved necessary its just the way Tunibu implemented it. In a sudden mannar and in a single swoop. Not only that he floats Naira at the same time, not taking into consideration Nigeria is an import dependant economy. This is ultimate disaster for citizens. He wiped out the middle class overnight in the name of fixing economy. He never did anything beforehand to cushion the effect. Inflation soared more than 30 percent value of Nigeria plumeted accordingly. At the end of the day he incured irreversible damage to our economy. The FG itself was in dire and tricky situation where sunsidy removal trippled the cost of subsidy payment. And they continued to pretend all is well. And the government went into damage control mode with minimal impact.
In terms of inflation everything has remained unchaged it is just that ppl adapted and continued to survive. Food price went down a little bit but all manufactured goods remained high. The farmers are rapidly going out of business due to this trend and if care is not taken the situation may get worse.
All indicators have shown that Tunibu is hell bent on creating one party state. Because he know he is very unpopular political figure and there is noway he could will 2027 election. This is dangerious to our democracy. You joined his party your sins are forgiven. He uses EFCC to target opposition members. He uses Wike to destablise PDP given the recent revelation. He jittery and pranoic because the masses have forsaken him. Now he turned to governors and federal legislators esp from opposition to support him in his second term instead of fixing his damaged relationship with the masses.
PoliticsRe: North Should Not Forget That Tinubu Helped Buhari Become President - Yari by zeyt: 10:34pm On Dec 22, 2025

Buhari the pro-poor what are you people saying about him today. Tinubu came and brought policies (though painful)that are capable of placing Nigeria in the committee of economic viable and prosperous nations now and most importantly in the future, you oppositions are pouring your hatred on him.

The saying that Nigeria is a complex nation to govern is very true.
That made Tunibu the big hypocrite for he once fought Jonathan tooth and nails for removing subsidy only for him to take it off at his inaugration in single swoop when it is his turn as president. In most pathetic way same Tunibu is now neutralizing the gains of subsidy removal by incessant and unnecessary borrowing with no transparancy or accountablity. The masses are still reeling and yet to recover from the effects of subsidy removal he still go ahead to tax them in a dubious manner.
Instead of him to look other ways to raise more revenue for his government he is lazyly passing the burden on unsuspecting citizens through taxation. Tell me what you yourself has gain from Tunibu policies? You only support him based on sentiments not reason. Since his coming as president ppl are not gaining or realing anything from his government. Tunibu is even danger to our democracy because he coerse, bribe and intimate oppostion to join his party. He turn the legislature to rubber stamp. Buhari can never do such a things.
PoliticsRe: North Should Not Forget That Tinubu Helped Buhari Become President - Yari by zeyt: 4:57pm On Dec 22, 2025
Its true Tunibu did helped Buhari win against Jonathan. But the difference is clear to Norherners:Tunibu is not pro-poor. He is all about money and power nothing more.

What is fraudulent about it? It is a known fact that human beings hate change, people like yourself who love the status quo, & add no benefit to society, speaking with both sides of your mouth making up excuses because u do not want to live up to your statutory obligation of paying your taxes.
How you will feel when you are about to be taxed in such a manner by a government you have zero trust will utilize your hard earned money responsibly. The government so self righteous are employing deceptive tactics every step of the way without due consultation. The government so ruthless and remorseless about the suffering of the masses. The government bereft of transparancy and accountablity. Its just that your sentiment has overshadowed your reason and judgement.

Oh really! Are you blinded by sentiment that you can see reason?Come North shout Tunibu and see how ppl will react. At least what is he actually doing as president beside garnering money and power for himself. His policies created hardship and poverty for the millions of Nigeria. And what is doing to salvage their conditions. He is a great danger to Democracy giving he way he bribe, coerse and intimidate opposition to creat on party state, which is a gang up against the masses. Tunibu as our president earn Nigeria bieng labled as disgraced country. He is damn sure an excellent politician but it amount to nothing because he is poor in leadership. He is self righteous and very deceptive leader. His government lack trasnparancy and accountablity and remorseless too with the audacity to call the ppl to endure more hardship as he going to tax them even more.

Go and challenge Tinubu let's see something
A plain truth is laid bare before you....expectedly, na to cry up and down
Mention one Nigerian alive who can challenge Jagaban...you go mention some bunch of serial defectors who have consistently demonstrated the true meaning of losing elections. When they combined forces in the past, they were beaten blue and black. They contested standing alone, they suffered electoral ship wreck. One acclaimed gbajue was given free day in the Court to convince us how he won election. He went to court and was praying for something else

Today they are in disarray and partyless
Political orphans who are not sure if their names would be in the ballot
Calm down. .The Election will be btw Tunibu and the masses. Candidate doesnt matter any more. You will be shocked come 2027.

PoliticsRe: Hardship: Reforms Painful But Necessary, Tinubu Insists by zeyt: 11:00pm On Dec 19, 2025
But the problem with Tunibu government is that he know the hardship is there but there is no transparancy. And accountability is not there to esp all the borrowed money and the money saved from sunsidy removal.
And what make us not to trust this government is it stance that pose danger to Nigerian Democracy: Selective persecution, gravitation toward one party system, forced decamping by coerstion and intimidation.
If this government is true to itself and the masses all this do or die attitude in politics wont be necessary.

Which masses? The masses that are on a Nelfund and stipends from government? Or the masses that haven’t been on strike since the inception of this government? Or the masses whose children’s school fees is being met by this government thereby relieving parents of school fees burden? It’s Christmas and is there any strike in any filling station?

You are only speaking out of hunger. Your vote can only add to your candidates third position.
The masses whose lives and properties he couldnt secure. The masses his policies plunged into hardship and poverty. The masses believing Tunibu is crippling the economy tru unnecesary borrowing. The masses who are conviced Tunibu is danger to Nigerian Democracy. The masses who see him as Yoruba president. The masses he wronged directly or indirectly(the Northerners he allowed to be disloged from their markerts in Lagos by the governor )The masses who see Tunibu as excellent politician but very poor in leadership. The masses who cares about the unity and integrity of this country. The masses who blamed him for reducing Nigeria to being called a disgraced country. By the way am not hungry but contented.

I see you run Nairaland. Truth is bitter to you. Mark my words the masses are tired of your overlord and are ready to vote him out in 2027 presidential election.

I am Hausa Fulani and I was telling you the uncomfortable truth. The North indeed voted for Tunibu and not anymore. The level of resetment is unprecedented. Tunibu policies plunged millions into poverty. Subsidy removal and now excess and unnecessary borrowing neutralizing all the gains. And now string of taxes before ppl ever recover. He is all about consolidating powers to himself and making more money for his government. In fact he is dangerious to democracy as far his methods agaist oppotion parties. This is akin to gang up against the.masses. All that he cares about is power and money not to really serve the ppl.

See am Hausa Fulani I was telling you the uncomfortable truth. You must be Yoruba thats why you are supporting him. But we know Tunibu his anti North dangerious to democracy. All he cares is to consolidate powers and garner more money for his government. He removed subsidy plunging millions into poverty. He already admitted to not believe in Nigerian unity. Now he lure governors and legislators from other parties by bribe and coertion. Now string of taxes to further compound the problems. We understand all Tunibu want from the masses is money and power not to serve the ppl.
