The North should take the Lagos government to court for compensation. There is no where in Nigeria where Hausa ppl are treated with disdain like in Lagos. So much harm has been caused to them by Yoruba ppl. |

okrote4real: Lagos State Government Demolishes Alaba Rago Market and Mosques After 50 Years
The Lagos State Government has demolished the Alaba Rago Market, a well-known commercial hub largely occupied by Northern Nigerian traders who have conducted business there for over five decades.
Authorities explained that the decision was The North Should take the lagos government to court for compensetion demolation without prior notice.taken because the market had expanded excessively into the city, creating congestion and disorder in the surrounding area.
Traders, however, expressed outrage, lamenting that they were not given prior notice before the demolition. “We have spent more than 50 years building this market. We struggled to establish our businesses here. Yet, in a single day, everything was demolished without any notice. We counted no fewer than 40 mosques destroyed,” one trader said.
The demolition has triggered intense emotions and raised pressing concerns about compensation, resettlement, and the impact on ethnic relations in Lagos. |

amoreobansu: When the time comes for me to speak, you will eat your words - Nasir El-Rufai replies X-user who said he is finished politically
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has declared that he will speak out when the time is right for him to do so.
The netizen, identified as Eureka, @Archimeokey said the former Governor is politically finished and can’t talk anymore.
The netizen added that El-Rufai now hides behind others to speak.
“El-Rufai is gone.
“He is finished politically.
“He now hides behind other people’s ink to write and their mouth to talk.
“The big mouthed Elrufail can’t talk anymore,” the netizen wrote on 𝕏.
However, in a swift response, El-Rufai refuted the claims and vowed that the netizen would eat the words, urging the individual behind the account to check back in 2027.
https://x.com/elrufai/status/1953543022492193261?t=-3g_Mrsw51iGIgc8W9tuCw&s=19[/quote]In the words of Shettima, hate him or love him El rufai is a person you cant ignore. What Southerners dont know abou him is that he is second to none in terms of leadership trust. He is seen as capable and resolute leader in the North. No wonder he has a lot of haters from the South based on ethnic and religious sentiments. Same way as Tafawa Balewa when he speaks beautifully in English many were just consumed by envy, disdain and hatered. And in the end they succeded in assasinating him. |

Odafe360: A huge Hippopotamus was Spotted in Shelleng and then later appeared again in Guyuk LGA of Adamawa State. It was hunted down by a number of youths and finally killed.
The hippopotamus really has meat in it's body that left me speechless. Infact the meat in this animal can feed the whole of my village. Lolss
The youths were jubilating and full of gratitude, thanking God for the provision and expectant for another one...😊😃
Many people are criticizing the youths online for killing the animal instead of taking it to the zoo and kept for tourism. The truth is that you cannot keep something for tourism when you're hungry. The western world preserve this things when they find them because their government do not steal money and leave them hungry. Thats the same way our ancestors depleted the wildlife for prosterity. |

I hope Tinubu is not counting on other regions to deliver him like in 2023 when he couldn't even deliver himself? At this point, Lagos, Osun and Oyo (if Makinde picks up PDP's ticket) are not certain. Where then will Tinubu get bloc votes from?
Gbatists will soon flood this thread to tell us how irrelevant Oyinlola has become but they wildly celebrated Fayose's endorsement of Tinubu yesterday. North will even do worst to him. |

aribisala0: This is political
Tinubu did not throw the north into hardship The cause of their hardship is too many children and failure to train or educate them How many people in the south of Nigeria have 10 or more children?
That is very common in the north
There is nothing unprecedented here
Go and ask your Elders about SAP riots under Babangida we moved from 1 to 1 with the dollar to 1 to 12 in 4 years that was when we suddenly stopped spending kobo overnight. Some of you are too young to know our currency is Naira and kobo Kobo just disappeared
So if you want to play politics do so but this is not the first time we have been through this so called Structural Adjustment
Incidentally IBB was forced into it after taking over from this same Buhari that Tinubu is taking over from
SAP was a lot worse because Nigeria used to be a JAPA destination indians Pakistani etc came to Nigeria to work so they could send money home Our currency was stronger than the dollar civil servants and teachers bought brand new cars. We had Cars assembled in Nigeria
All that disappeared almost overnight
Look at all the federal universities campuses all built in a short period suddenly students changed from 2 to a room to maybe 10
We saw a sudden drop in our lives and became a Japa country under Buhari IBB Abacha
A lot of people do not know the scale of our fall under military rule
The Naira could be changed in London and you would get a visa on arrival it was a MIGHTY FALL
Let us not forget we used to be respected
So No it is not unprecedented You are right Sir. When SAP was implemented I was just a kid, but I believed my ppl talk more about particular period during military regime of Mohammad Buhari. They called that period Buhariya because there was serious hardship and ppl were very hungry. It is not wrong for Tunibu to remove subsidy but the way he implemented it. In a single swoop very was so sudden middle class realised they are poor overnight. What even made it unprecedent in my opinion is the floating of Nigeria at the same time. Not taking into consideration Nigeria is an import dependent economy. This is the ultimate disaster for the masses. |
Politics › Re: Senate Approves Tinubu's Plan To Borrow $21.8 Billion by zeyt: 10:05am On Jul 23, 2025 |
Hypocricy at the highest level. Tunibu claimed Nigeria will go bankrupt if subsidy is not removed. And now hell bent on bankrupting Nigeria with loans. |
