Agriculture / Creating Wealth Through These Crops. by zhedogachris: 2:43pm On Nov 08, 2020
CREATING WEALTH THROUGH THESE CROPS.

Have you wonder how easy it could be to create wealth in Nigeria taking advantage of the available resources especially in the northern Nigeria and particularly North Central region?

I will want to take us through a journey that allows you to create wealth taking advantage of the harvest season.

We will however, centre our concentration on RICE, SESAMESEED, G/CORN AND MAIZE.

Rice is predominantly one of the most consumed food in Nigeria. As you know,I haven't seen an occasion where rice is not consumed. This crop which has captured the attention of the government is given a top priority for it production through different programs the government initiated.

Rice, is cultivated in different varieties depending on the location rainfall diffence in Nigeria.

I may not want to bother you much with too many details since we aren't in a professional class.

Rice can be harvested and stored for a good period of time without a damage done to it.

You can equally buy processed rice and package just like the rice we see in the market today.

Imagine now that rice is sold for less than 400 naira per kg(processed rice that's distoned but not polished).

Imagine a size 32 bag of unprocessed rice (CP) selling for as low as 25000?

Imagine warehouse where you can store this less than 2million for a year?

Imagine you buying and there are modern machines that do the processing for you?

We are duely registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, so let's do business

Will you want more information about rice including prices, transportation arrangements and the rest?

UpOPPORTUNITIES TO CREATE WEALTH VIA AGRICULTURE.(Storage)

This post promises to be very simple and precise for everyone's understanding.

Fact: 60% of global of arable land is found in Africa. Source: Mckinsey Global Institute. This explains why the Europeans and the Chinese are all over Africa.

If you visit any part of the North Central now,you are bound to see farm produce all over the localities which are equally sold at the cheapest prices(not as cheap you may think).

The good news is, you stand to make more money storing these farm produce than the farmers(because farmers have urgent needs and always believe the next crop will soon be ready for harvest)

However, if you venture into storing crops whose prices have reached their peaks, you SHALL CRASH()

Basically, let's consider three or four crops you can store and double your money within two months or three.

(Egusi,Maize,Millet, Groundnut, Guinea Corn and Rice).

There are indicators that validate this claim I'm bringing here:

The global pandemic.

All borders are closed and international dependence is almost not possible now on food.

The government is doing all to revive the almost death economy (plenty money has been injected into agric already which we know).

These factors should make you brace up to participate in this wealth that is transferred to people.

For instance, last week Wednesday, a bag of Egusi was sold for 18k and today,it goes for 28 to 30k.

Maize and Millet are now playing the roles of crude oil(380 to 450naira per Mudu).

What you should know about the markets here:

they mostly don't use kilo but Mudu.

If you want to buy in bulk go to villages and buy I bags.

If you want to buy and sell as in retail, don't buy in bags but do the measurements using the Mudu(because that is where you will make gain .)

The time to store Egusi is now and in the next two weeks, the market is almost over
If you want to store Maize, it should begin next week. Maize may not come down of ethnic cashes in Taraba, Southern Kaduna and some parts of the North where this is produced

Rice storage should begin by November to December when the price is expected to drop so badly because farmers are preparing for Christmas and equally want to bring their products home from farms.

Groundnut is another hot commodity that the storage should start at the end of this month just to allow the moisture in the seed properly dry to avoid the aflatoxin in product which indicates a bad market

MARKET DAYS:
Particularly Nasarawa state has so many market locations in almost every LGA. However,we will concentrate on those locations where the neighboring villages are safe.

Lafia has a market known as :Alamis(
Thursday) market.
This market has all kinds of farms produce for bulk purchase and contact making.

Assakio is located 44km from Lafia capital and has its market day every Monday.

You can buy in bulk here too and make good contacts with the locales.

Ashangwa Market: this is one of the busiest and fastest growing markets with all kinds of local innovations in place for storage, processing and packaging.
The market day here is: Tuesday.

Doma Market is another hot spot for agricultural products. It may interest you to know that the Mama brand of rice comes from Doma LGA.

Agraragu Market. This market is located along Makurdi road and is a home for assorted farm produce including Yam.
The market day is: Friday.

In Awe LGA, you have markets like: Awe and Adudu.

In Obi and Keana you have markets like: Keana, Agwatashi and the rest of them.

Dominant languages: Hausa, small English and the Native languages of the people. This makes it easy for u to relate.

Caution: In some of these locations, robberies are done very easily during market days, so go to the markets early, buy your goods and load the following day when the roads are free from bad boys (this shouldn't scare you away).

When you buy plenty, plead with them to make payment in the city unto someone they trust or via bank transfers.

If you are a new person, spend to know the locations as it will save you more.

Point of storage: each of these markets has a storage house where you pay to securely keep your goods.

If you want to do measurements, never allow men do that for you but women.
