University degrees in Nigeria are just nothing but name.. Anyone can just obtain them if serious. Again try and visit MBA classes and find out top performers. Most are polytechnic graduates. Same applies on the job.
I for one select the best candidate in an interview, whether BSC or HND. It is the skills that I am after.

A university degree is not a paper! taken nothing away from the polytechnic graduates, with all their skills they still need someone who understands the theories that drive the practice and that is why, university graduates should always have an edge. Without theories there's no productivity.

Bros, We understand theories very very well. Incase u don't know, Practical involves applying theoretical knowledge that u understand. If don't understand theories, ur practical no go make sense. Na why Bsc students no dey sabi do practical cos they crammed the theory in d first place.

You are being myopic, majority of Nigerian students lack quality writing skills. Because the HND grads u've met cant write well doesn't mean everybody cant. Most Bsc Students are very very very dull, but i definitely won't say all Bsc Holders are dull.

Oga I did direct entry to a Uni with my OND, Uni no get stress compared to what i faced in Poly. What i did in 200lv to 400lv first semester, I had done dem already in ND already. I no dey go class at all, I don't even know d lecturers for most course (Me wey skl don tire sef). I still burst their papa 2.1, con imagine if I con serious. Uni students dull die, dem go read everyday still struggle for 2.1.

That 1 wey say we no sabi write reports, Make he try no meet my poly OND grads, We go beat am hands down

Holiday I find work tire, Na 8k, 16k 20k work i dey see with my ND and I needed to raise 80k 200lv, 42k 300 lv fees (3 months holiday) was only able to raise rent (we b 2 for room, rent shared)
