This is a better decision if you ask me. Meanwhile don't forget to update your travel history with this recent trip before submitting.

Goodluck

Thank you so much Gyyv. I will make sure to cross all Ts and all Îs.

When people apply from a new country, they usually resident in that new place, never heard/read of someone who applied while they were on holiday. Simplest thing would be finish your visit and apply after you return to Nigeria.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html

If it were me I would submit my application after going back to Nigeria, I would also get a new PCC. A new PCC will cost far less than the wahala of explaining and a VO misunderstanding how and why the Oct PCC is still valid.

If you are not planning to return to Nigeria before the deadline, then another option (I wouldn't do this personally though) is to submit your app with the old PCC and explain that Nigeria is still your current country of residence and you are only visiting UK (I assume your visit is short and not greater than 6 months), also include the reason for your extended visit (hopefully it is concrete and easy to understand).

Bold - how come your submission date was extended by 60 days? Do you mean you have a today of 120 days to submit from ITA date, not the regular 60?

Thanks again for your direction GraciousWords. I really do appreciate it.

To be honest, I cannot explain how I got the extension but I was granted it alongside others when my application was about 4 days to expiry, the information came by mail and I instantly saw the extra 60 days on my profile. The only thing I can say knowing what I know now is that it was definitely God's mercy because it is very likely that my application would have been thrown out if I had submitted within the initial 60 days. I had uploaded all my docs and was ready to submit but it seems some people had issues submitting so they renewed the time. I don't know what their criteria for renewal was but I was mercifully included.

Your advise on going back home before submitting has resolved my confusion and I will definitely be doing that. Thankfully my ticket date gives me enough time before submission deadline so I will submit once I get home and get a new PCC.

I really want a straightforward application so I will do whatever is necessary to achieve that. Thank you once again.

Depends on how long you stayed.

See what IRCC says:

You must include police certificates when you apply for permanent residence.

Our online system will ask for a police certificate for:

you and your family members who are 18 years or older
and
every country you (or a family member) stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row

I came to the UK mid October and was planning to leave in January so it's less than 6 months.

Thanks again for replying.

Applying from the UK is fine. Just make sure you submit proper documentation. You'll need PCC from the UK as well. Also make sure you submit a valid PCC (Be in the country to use any date before the PCC expires or use the one you collected after you left the country)

Thank you once again for replying me. I am not actually resident in the UK, I am only here on a visit visa. Will I still need to get PCC from here?

To be on the safer side, only apply using PCC obtained after you have left the country.

If you leave Dec 15th, get PCC from 16th.

Thank you so much! I will do a new one.

Please will applying from the UK have any adverse effect on my application? My family is back home in Nigeria and I have seriously been considering going back home to apply from there since my deadline got extended by 60 days.

Please guys does foreign travel invalidate PCC issued before the person left Nigeria? I am only on a visit visa and my place of residence is still Nigeria. I got PCC in October and will submit application this December. Do I need to get a new one?

If the business is unregistered, then it doesn't pay tax, meaning it is not a real business in the eyes of visa officials. It is better to register the company as a limited liability company (LTD) asap.

Unregistered businesses still pay money to the govt one way or the other. This one I believe will have such receipts. Registering it now might be a red flag

People with unregistered businesses have gotten PPR. Just provide references letter, add bank statements to show payments or cheque payments. If it was paid in cash the VO may ask for more documents. I remember one PNP applicant that claimed to work in a farm. When the VO checked the address on google maps. There was no farm visible from the satellite view .

Thank you so much Ednut. This one is verifiable even if they want to visit site, they can. It's cash payment though.

I was paid in cash - see page 1 post 7 (FAQ 19)
The company has no online presence and/or is unregistered - see page 1 post 7 (FAQ 25 edited)

These are personal opinions in some cases - final decision is yours.
Thanks a lot GraciousWords

Please guys, is it a problem for express entry if the business the person works for is unregistered and has no online presence? how can one prove experience in such a situation? I know i have read something on page 1 about it not being a problem if the workplace has no online presence but I am not sure i saw anything about it being unregistered. Can anybody help?

I am asking for a friend who works in a big farm in a rural area but the farm is unregistered. They are into poultry and cucumber farming.

Please seniors, any way forward for her? Should I just encourage her to register the business and have her ducks in a row before embarking on this journey?

You can use a joint account.

However, you need to provide documents (land title documents, receipts, etc) from when the land was purchased and how you paid for it. If the land was a gift, you need to include it too.

You also need a solid letter of explanation explaining the bulk deposit into the joint account, and the entire transaction.

Thanks a whole lot for this. Yes we have the title documents bearing both our names. We didn't buy the land though, it was a wedding gift from family when we wedded. The deed of gift is available as well and its notarized though not registered.

You’re not done yet. Here, your files have been uploaded but not yet submitted to IRCC. You can still substitute the files by uploading new ones at this point.

To submit your application, you MUST sign and transmit, and then it takes you to a page where you pay the Processing fee and right of permanent residence fees.

Your application is considered submitted when you receive an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR).

Thank you so much for your kind explanation. You have clarified the process well for me. I was wondering if I would meet more forms after signing. Thanks so much, I am grateful.

Good evening good people, please if I get to this point in my application, does it mean that I am done? If I sign and transmit, will there be forms to fill? I am asking because I keep seeing stuff said about IMM forms in previous pages and I didn't see any of that in my required document checklist.
Please am I doing something wrong or is that how it's supposed to be?

Please help!

Joint account can work. Attach a letter of explanation to explain the lump sum amount and the receipt from the property sales. You're good this way

Alright. Thank you for the pointer sir.

medicals is around 40k in Nigeria, and over 400k in UK when converted. The choice is yours o

Lol. Sorry please. I meant biometrics for me not medicals. That was a mistake, I did mine before I left. It's my family that still has to do theirs.

others who are current will answer your question. I don’t know if a new account can get reference letter from the bank these days. When i did mine the account had to be 6 months more to get reference letter. Why not tell the buyer to divide and send to your personal accounts

Thank you sir. Wouldn't know if the buyer would be inclined to do that but I will ask.

Hello people, please I am new here. I was advised to come follow this platform as I prepare to submit my PR application and honestly I am grateful to the person. I have learnt a lot already.

Please I have a serious concern about proof of funds.
Can I use a new joint account to show our funds?

We are a family of 4 and about to sell some jointly owned land ( my husband and I) for our relocation but the issue is that none of us wants the money to be paid into the other's account due to some past issues around money. It's a long story, please don't dwell on it.

My question now is, is it wise to open a new joint account for the money to be paid into it and we then use it as main proof of funds while also showing our personal bank accounts?

Will this be a problem?

Thank you in advance for your help. I am grateful.

Please help direct me if you can. Thank you. My deadline to submit is this November.

I am also on a holiday in the UK, I should return in December.

Will I be allowed to do my medicals and biometrics in the UK or do I need to return to Nigeria for it.

My family will be doing theirs in Nigeria.
