georgeakins:They just don’t have the basic understanding on how to get big things done. They are a bit too sentimental, too gullible and too aggressive. I’m just surprised that they (igbos) learned absolutely nothing on how Atiku and Tinubu quietly and miraculously won the primary elections. An empty cans make annoying noise while the wise ones quietly get things done and claim the victory. |
DaveDGreat:As usual, the Igbos have blown up their chances…I do not believe that APC or PDP needs any form of rigging to win the next presidential election. Our next president is either Tinubu or Atiku. You don’t have to believe me. |
Peter Obi’s movement was real until the online warriors blew up his chances with their uncouth modus operandi to turn off a good part of his supporters, especially the non-Igbo Nigerians. And the Igbos have nobody else but themselves to blame. How do you expect your candidate to win when you unnecessarily and consistently abuse Nigerians potential voters simply because they have a different ideas or different candidates? We are not electing a leader of a village, we are preparing to elect a president of a country…a country that has multiple ethnic groups.. Come on folks! The igbos remind me of a story of a tortoise that needs feathers to fly, but doesn’t have the common sense to respect or work with his neighbor who happens to be a bird that is completely covered feathers. Violence, and abusing people is not always the answer to all things…there comes a time we simply need to use our brain. |
I don’t even believe that Wole Shoyinka was a supporter of Tinubu 3 weeks ago, but I can assure you that now he will be. The last thing the igbos want for this next presidential election is ethnic division; the Yorubas casting their votes for Tinubu and the Hausas casting their votes for Atiku, while the igbos go with Peter Obi… Now who wins? You do the maths. |
Now that Peter Obi’s supporters continue to reduce down to mostly igbos, I’m not sure if the igbos have come to realize that political attacks may be effective in certain part of the country, but I doubt if it will make Peter Obi the next president of Nigeria. Peter Obi supporters fail to understand that political victory requires a sound strategy and not violence or attacking potential voters. Constantly abusing other Nigerians with either different ideas or different candidates is never the appropriate approach to win any election. In order for peter Obi to come close to winning the next presidential election, the igbos must clearly understand that they need other ethnic groups in Nigeria to be on their side. Abusing other Nigerians with different ideas or different candidate or that belong to a different ethnic group is never the right approach. Respect for self and respect for other people regardless of who they choose as their candidate is the beginning of a sound strategy to a political victory. The big question is: where are those people that were mocking Buhari 8 yrs ago? Where are they today? |
Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka on Monday condemned a viral video on social media showing members of the Pyrates Confraternity mocking the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu during a procession. https://guardian.ng/news/soyinka-condemns-pyrates-viral-video-mocking-tinubu/ |
Steveabbeyly:This is the word on the street. Very discouraging! |
Too bad that the election doesn’t take place on nairaland. Only time will tell. |
In my opinion Peter Obi's supporters have already set his chances on fire with their uncivilized method of operation. In fact, I was told that Peter Obi himself is very concerned and has started to realize that his supporters may be indirectly killing his popularity among the youths. Peter Obi supporters fail to understand that political victory requires a sound strategy and not violence or attacking potential voters. Constantly abusing others with either different ideas or different candidates is never the appropriate approach to win any election. I'm surprised that this group of people haven't discovered a better strategy after they witnessed how Atiku and Tinubu quietly became the flag bearers for the 2 biggest political parties in the country. These supporters have completely turned off many Nigerian voters all across the country to the extent that I don't even believe that Peter Obi will have enough votes to beat the NNPP party. Now that all is gradually going through the drain, I also don't believe that Peter Obi is savvy enough to systematically separate himself from the IPOB political fighters, who through their vicious attacks continue to degrade the quality of his message. Political attacks may be effective in certain part of the country, but I doubt if it will deliver the big cake to Peter Obi. Empty cans make the most noise, but those with the right knowledge and talent are the ones who often win. Peter Obi's supporters should learn how to respect themselves and respect others. |
Message to Peter Obi’s supporters: Have you noticed lately that 90% of Peter Obi’s supporters are now Igbos? This was not so a couple of months ago. I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, this is absolutely not the way to win a presidential election in Nigeria. You don’t have to believe me, only time will tell. |
Nozino:True. But not everyone has the special capability to care for a child with severe disability challenges. At the end of the day the child will be the one that suffers. For the sake of the child, things should have been handled differently. You do not expect a new pregnant wife to take care of a child at this stage. Again, the child will be the one that suffers; mother caring and loving a child cannot be duplicated. The father should figure out how to give his full support while the disabled daughter lives with her mother. He should not only support his baby mother but also give her a break from time to time by picking up his daughter every other wkend. NOTHING ELSE MAKES SENSE. |
The mother that showed up to drop off the child knew what she was doing. Something tells me that this lady intentionally dropped off the child to systematically destroy your marriage. A good maid will cost less than 40k per month. Both of you should work towards making things work. Your husband should find a way to pay for a maid to take care of his daughter. You are pregnant, leaving him will not improve your situation. Give him a chance to make things work |
nlfpmod:Buhari has woken up from a 8 yr comatose |
Playloaded:Ladies do not be fooled. When a man forgives you 3 times for such a thing, it either means the dude doesn’t really give a damn about you or the dude is also doing what he forgives you for doing. No decent guy will forgive you 3 times for screwing other men. Don’t ever forget that men see women in 2 different forms: 1. Marriage Material (Wifey) and 2. Marriage Accessory (SideChick) Men are normally not bothered as much when a SideChick cheats, but will go crazy when wifey or marriage material chick cheats. |

ObidientFC:Just like many other Nigerians, Peter Obi too may be like Obama, but what about Peter Obi’s supporters? Are they like Barack Obama’s supporters? Do not let us forget that a supporter is a branch of a political candidate. Obama’s supporters were mostly inspirational and motivational through their decent approach and civilized disposition, this group of people were not only able to motivate more people to come out to vote, but also connected effectively with voters from other parties, but Peter Obi’s supporters on the other hand have done a very poor job. Their vulgar actions and boorish state of mind have severely depreciated the quality of Peter’s message, making it extremely difficult for a victory to be attained. And Peter Obi seems to be confused, he has no idea how to dig himself out of the mess that his supporters have created. For this reason, it will be foolish to attempt to compare Peter Obi to Barrack Obama. |
MITCHELL96:At the end of the day majority of Peter Obi's supporters will return back to their various holes.
