sell for 70k? |
JayRise:great... did you get your code from Nira - or was it sent to you via mail from domainking? |
& then you check ur mail - nothing... ![]() |
It's funny how the servers housing their own site through to the payment gateway is still up.

Donabydeco:You can do this If you have an offsite backup. If you don't then this can only serve as a learning point. -those who still have access to some of their sites should create a backup(in a hurry) & do so daily. I'm having trouble getting my EPP code for my domains so I can move them to another registrar; been contacting Nira - but as a Typical naija govt. agency - they don't respond promptly. |
bestspoke:Its sad but ur call for help to Seun & Dominique won't go far - Domainking ads are still running here on Nairaland. Driving more traffic to them & increasing post counts/complaints on this thread. sad

To be realistic this people have done so much damage to their reputation that it's safe to say they're through with this business. Even with refunds you can't recover from a situation this bad.. Cut your losses & move out; if you're on wordpress & you have a backup lucky you... if you're on blogger try to get your EPP code from their panel - if you can still login & port to another registrar. For your bp's sake Don't move to any nigerian host until they get their act together. If the details you used while registering your domains are accurate (& you can prove your identity) - you can write to NIRA or visit them. They maintain this registry & they can help you move out if ur unable to get ur Domains EPP code from domainking. If you're a web designer/developer & your clients' sites are down, u better take action now - the process could be quite lenghty. |
The only explanation is that they're moving out - you can't recover your relationship with customers after this long... they've seen these comments obviously... here & on facebook (they can't remove our posts). My problem is with the mods who've turned a blind eye to their ad spaces here on Nairaland - helping them milk the rest of us before they port. I've been with a registrar in the past who packed up - our domains were moved to another registrar - overseen by Icann. Where you'll have a problem is if your's is about to expire... because someone can snap it up & to get it back u'll into sm serious ![]() If you can it's time to do a transfer to your domain to whogohost or web4africa. Rule of thumb - never rely on nigerian/indian hosts or registrars. If available - it's better to buy a .com & geo-target Nigeria in webmaster tools (same results as a .com.ng or .ng) ![]() |
@seun pls take a look at this thread https://www.nairaland.com/1959505/domainkingng-thread/41 - you guys should take down these domainking ads from nairaland. I bought some domains there following some adds here - which are still running, & the guys wouldn't respond to a single question!! If you have access to them - You should also help us ask the user who placed those ads to respond to our tickets. thanks... |
They are probably about to leave the Nigeria, they're doing the promos & ads to make one last dash for free cash. This is what happens when we choose deal with companies that don't have a physical address in Nigeria. I feel cheated. Address 156, New Jawahar Nagar, Cool Road, Jalandhar - 144001, Punjab, India Telephone+91-96463-69965, +91-98769-23436 http://www.nira.org.ng/accredited-registrars/57-hannu-internet-corp-pvt-ltd Website www.domainking.ng There's no way they can be held accountable - I have learnt another lesson. Our best bet now may be to report to nira & wait - also I appeal to the mods to take down their ads on nairaland - your members are being swindled; If they think it's a jk let them trying contacting them via their support. |
can still see their ads here on nairaland... the admins should take them down - @ least that will get their attention |

...another day has gone by... did anyone get a response? |
Ramandeep, Angaad - It's another Indian company - giving us the airtel treatment. If they are having technical difficulties @ least they should inform us ; no company is beyond these glitches - but to leave people hanging is totally unacceptable. If they don't respond today, I think we should all write to NIRA - 0700CALLNIRA admin@nira.org.ng, & write bad reviews all over the web. I'm taking it personal. |
AustinXhibuike:& you know the worst part, they've probably seen these posts... & are just there drinking tea waiting for six'o'clock so they can close support for the day. ![]() |
pointing a custom domain to blogger. I sent you guys a message on facebook, I raised a ticket #815862 with your support, I tweeted at you, now I'm on nairaland . I don't understand why I'm not allowed to modify the CNAME records for my domains like i do with other registrars? ![]() If you are not going to give me access to modify these records myself - then your support should respond speedily - as it will also take another 24hrs to the changes to propagate on the network. I'm already considering moving all my domains to another registrar. |
