It's obvious to every discerning mind that the killings in the south east in recent times have become very well coordinated. We see situations where these groups involved in these killings easily gather enough information to know the whereabouts of their intended targets, even when such targets are just merely visiting the state as was the case with the army couples who were visiting for their marriage rites. Just this evening, the lawmaker representing the constituency of the present Governor of Anambra state was beheaded and a group that claims to be "The unknown gunmen" proudly took responsibility for the killing with a written note. This is one murder too many. There is more than meets the eye here. A third force might be involved and it's about time the identity of those behind this is unraveled!

The question that needs to be asked here are; who are these socalled unknown gunmen? What is their motives? Who recruited them? Who funds them? Who safeguards them from the relentless and ceaseless onslaughts of the security agencies in the East? Who provides them with the superior intelligence on the movements of their intended targets and why is it almost impossible to arrest any of them, Inspite of the endless military and paramilitary presence in the whole of the South East as we speak. But most importantly, it's important to ask; why is it that these killings have skyrocketed as the presidential elections draw nearer? How come that information related to these killings are first broadcasted by people from outside the Eastern zone, even before people in the East become aware of what is going on?

I ask these questions because it's becoming obvious that a little bit of dangerous politics might be in play here. In recent times, the call for an Igbo presidency has heightened. The political narratives in the land seem to be slowly tilting towards an Igbo presidency. We have seen the emergence of very credible Igbo presidential candidates. Yet, as the call for a president of Nigeria from the Igbo extraction increases, so have the recent killings and beheading and kidnappings. Lots of meddlesome characters from outside the Eastern zone have tried to pin these killings on The Indigenous People of Biafra aka IPOB. Yet, the leadership of this organization has stated consistently that they are not involved. The present Governor of Imo State has stated firmly that IPOB was not involved in the killings that are going on in Imo State, ditto the governor of Enugu. Infact, governor Hope Uzodimma went as far as stating that most of the attackers that were later arrested, were not even from Imo State and that the whole mayhem was politically instigated!

The questions that need to be answered here are still numerous!
Who are these people? Who funds them? Who organized them? Since IPOB has vehemently insisted that it's not involved and the cheif security officer of a state in the East has come out openly to confirm this, who are the people instigating the destruction of the South East through killings and general chaos, while pretending to be some sort of ubiquitous unknown gunmen!? Is it possible that some evil characters from outside igboland are busy killing and maiming our people in order to create an atmosphere of chaos and insecurity, then use same to demarket South East presidential aspirants while making it hard for people in the South East to participate fully in the upcoming presidential elections? Some of the killings don't make any sense! For instance, what was the reason for the killing of Dr Akunyili? Apart from instigating hate and anger against those agitating for Biafra?

Political opponents are involved. Andy Uba a man with a retinue of hardened killers should be arrested immediately. But they won't do that because he is in APC..
