The Zambia Football Federation is to purchase 20,000 tickets for the match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.
Zambia and Nigeria are to play in Group C at Mbombela Stadium.
Sipho Sithole, Chief Communications Officer, AFCON Local Organising Committee (LOC), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Johannesburg that Zambia had requested for the ticket.
'I must tell you that Zambia Football Federation have asked us that they want 20,000 tickets for their match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.'
'But the federation is also purchasing that volume of tickets for every match that they will be playing,' Sithole said.

If u are good u are good. They can even buy the full stadium but still fall. Zambians should thank their ancestors who died in the plane crush in 1992 for this years feat, they are no soccer powerhouse. Next years afcon is between GHANA, IVORY COAST and may be NIGERIA.

If they are so sure winning the title wasn't a fluke, they shouldn't be this desperate.

Zambia is a very strong side. They have defeated Ghana twice this year. Nigeria have to be careful. Ghana don't stand any chance to win afcon 2013 becos they don't have strikers. Their only striker Gyan is playing primary school football in the middle east.

Buying ticket is part of the politics of football. All FA do this. It is unfortunate that Nigerian FA dont know how to play it and that is why we are being maltreated when our players go for away matches whether national team or clubside. I hope we will learn from this.

Absolutely unnecessary IMO. They're already playing in a southern country, automatically majority of the support goes to them. Its their FA's money sha, they can spend it as they wish.
