Seeded: PSG, Schalke, Malaga, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United. Unseeded: Porto, Arsenal, Milan, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Valencia, Celtic, Galatasaray. Rules: -A seeded team must be paired with an unseeded team. -Two teams from the same league cannot meet. -Two teams that finished from the same group cannot meet. How the draws happened. At the time milan was picked, the following teams had already been drawn in this order: Galatasaray v Schalke. Celtic v Juventus. Arsenal vs Bayern Munich. Shakhtar Donetsk v Borussia Dortmund. So when it was milan's turn, we have only Barca, Man utd, PSG and Malaga as the seeded teams (group winners). The other unseeded teams were porto, valencia and Madrid. Remember Malaga were the group winners from Milan's group, so they cannot be paired. If you pair milan and PSG, that leaves just man-utd as the only possible options for both madrid and valencia. If you pair milan and man utd, that leaves PSG as the only possible options for both madrid and valencia. So the only club that could be paired with milan was barca the remaining pairing happened in this order: Real Madrid v Manchester United. As a CFC fan this is my opinion The thing about man is that they are unpredictable but with a defence that concedes so many goals it will be hard for them to stop Ronaldo and co and again let them pray that all their defenders stays fit cos you don't need to concede in the champs league....so for me its a 50-50 chance cos even madrid are not doing too well now and man u has home advantage in the 2nd leg AS for Arsenal no need to waste my time cos they won't survive the bayern onslaught especially when they are playing the second leg away in Germany |
