Something as specific as a messenger from a particular platform should be gotten only from the owners . Why the rush?
I'm just imaging 3 months from now , most people will have it and some already tired of it.

But the truth is that the ones that are rushing it never use BBM before and were silently envious of the BB owners , now that BBM is on for everyone , they are so quick to dump their touted whatsapp.

I heard BBM for Iphone came out in India first, but people started complaining that it had issues, only for Blackberry to come out and label it an "unofficial version."
They knew lots of people would be waiting for this app, why didn't they prepare well before hand. I don't blame them, they just lost billion and cut over 3000 jobs, somebody had to get back at them!!!

No you're wrong! Maybe you're looking at it from the Nigerian angle... But the truth is, among Smartphones, there is no official Messenger app, and Whatsapp is the only thing close to that title, but everybdy knws they are using the "trial version" and would have to start paying after a year! Imagine!!
But BBM is popular, very popular, OMG very very popular!!! I mean it's much beta and secure, than Whatsapp where anyone with your no can send u a msg, until u block them.
With BBM, smartphones would have an official Messenger app. It's no wonder that over 1 million people downloaded the unofficial release in just hours.

And Whatsapp yearly price is just 0.99 dollars(1 dollar approx). That's FREE if you ask me.

And ur inaccurate again. BBM has neva been on anyoda platform outside Blackberry, hence u can not say it is not popular.
Also I said there is no official messenger app being used on all OSs, therefore I hinted dat BBM would be a massive hit in d app markets. True 0.99 dollars is pretty cheap, but they keep updating there app, and if the update takes to long to get to u, the app will eventually tell u dat ur using a version dats "too old".
Also note dat Whatsapp is more popular in developing countries dan in developed ones.

very true, but it's always advisable dat we try to maximize d use of every utility we hav around us. even Solomon who said dis had already gotten d best out of his environment.
