I’m not even from the South, but have got friends around me benefiting from scholarship and sponsorship opportunities provided to South indigenes.

I don't think so. I've worked with women in homeless shelters & these women truly believed they would get a good paying job. The real problem is their naiveté & their inability to be realistic & plan realistically to move to a different country just expecting all to be well or not having a few backup plans & it's sad.

Prostitution and organized crime has come to stay.the italian men need some education, they are the ones encouraging prostitution, cos if the so called girls go to the market (brothels) and no body to buy they go back home. And Don't tell me the girls are trafficked cos most of them know they are flown to europe for prostitution just that they don't know they are been used as slaves (sex) most of the girls end up as madams and they want to make their money, so they in turn look for young girls to force into the sex trade. Most of them didn't choose that life. Just as the photographer said they are been tricked thinking they are going to Italy for a decent job as a nanny or factory worker. Most of them can't run away because they have been mentally caged as a result of the oat they were forced to make and forced to believe will kill them. Only the Nigerian govt can curb this menace.

A personal example is a job seeker looking for work but have refused to send out his resume of CV but he is busy prayiing and fasting ... he should pray and send out his cv ..and hit the street and thats how God will help him .
Nigerians are the most prayed up people i have met but have little to show for it , obviously we have some results but it has not materialised into an infrastructure levels ( electricity and basic needs of live ) ..because we want God to do what we can do for ourselves and we are doing what God should do for us ..i personally dont believe you need to pray for infrastructures to be built (we have the money and the skills )..i believe we should pray for peace in the country and only God can do that ...he will need your soldiers and police to be available though so that he can work through them

A lot of people will blame govt but the blame should also rest on lack of parental guidance. The bible said Teach a child the way of the lord and when he grows up he sshall not depart from it. A lot of families in Edo state sell their properties and land to raise money for their daughter to go on a golden fleece in europe. Point of correction prostitution is a worldwide problem and not just edo state as you wrongly mentioned. It happens all over nigeria and all ethnic group had their own share of the burden.
