@nairalanders what really happened was dt a mistake was made when composing the text;its meant to be:Make free call on MTN from 12am to 1am with #100.i.e no more 12-4:30 free midnight call.

I've received a text like this before from MTN. From the message they sent, I was to call MTN networks for 30min with #100 between 1 - 4pm and that was sometimes in December last year. They also had a special code for recharging if you were to benefit from the offer.

so I don't really understand what you're talking about here now @OP. seems you're far more confused than MTN themselves.
