tete7000:

By making the pipeline work, i.e. we stop vandalising them and by also ensuring we revive the rail transport system. I guess only these measures can save us in this country. We have penchant for doing things the wrong way here. Our slogan probably is: 'So far things get done, rightly or wrongly it doesn't matter'. Unfortunately what proves an adopted method is wrong are the attendant negatives consequences and we have multiple of such consequences all around us.

You are dead right!

The trailer / tanker owners won't allow the rail to work.

It's all about greed, corruption and, I think, ethnic politics.

Does Buhari have the will to tackle them, especially as it appears many of these vehicles may be owned by Northerners.

As for vandalisation of the pipelines, it will take real effort to curb it. Many times the watchers are the crooks also!

It is conspiracy and sabotage at work by cabals.

God help us!

Shld we blame the driver.the road or the vehicles....

The roads are always there (the better the road, the faster you roll). The vehicles are controlled by drivers, and drivers are controlled by their "enemies".

Let us now collectively blame "the devil" (prince of the enemies) like we used to.

This accident just happened at Anthony Satellite bus stop, Ikorodu road involving a fuel tanker and a trailer. What you see on the ground pictured above is fuel that spilled from the crash. You won't believe that some Nigerians rushed to 'pack' the fuel, not minding what could happen next or caring about their lives. See more pics after the cut.

Exactly what is going on with these series of accidents especially with petroleum tankers? It is way too much and something needs to be done to address the issues. They keep talking about pipeline sabotage et al but this here is one source of major loss that no one seems to account for maybe because it is no longer in the custody of the government? What about associated environmental hazards and lives that are wasted?

@those packing the spilled fuel, you are one of the reasons Nnamdi Kalu calls is BABOONS AND MONKEYS.

Upon the several warning never to scoop fuel from any leaking petroleum pipeline, fallen fuel tanker, e.t.c cos of the high risk of getting burnt, you still rush dia to kill yourselves.

Hmmm....smh. undecided

This kind of spate of accidents involving trucks can only be ignored in the jungle called Nigeria.

Trucks on Nigerian roads are as good as killing machines and coffins. And nigerians government is still keeping blind eyes to the menace.
