I don't understand the difference between the two words... please if any one knows the meaning he/she shouldn't hesitate to drop it... please the gurus should help.

There is usually no President where there is Secretary General. He/she is the organization's head. But where there is General Secretary, there is usually a President that heads the organization.

Check the SUG constitution very well, u will discover it is not Secretary General but General Secretary. People are prefer to refer to it as the former.

I never knew there a difference between the two. I thought they were interchangeable
