The Chassis number (VIN) even for nigeria used vehicles, that were imported from the USA, could be used to obtain the vehicle history of the car.  Obviously if the Nigerian used car was not imported from the USA, there will be no report available. The usefulness of the report would depend on when the car was imported - if a car was only used in Nigeria for, say 6 months, the report may be useful to all; on the other hand if the car was imported say 2 years ago, the usefulness of the report significantly diminishes.

Thanks Monitor for your patience to explain. I actually know what the VIN is for; hence, i asked rhetorically why it was needed for in this instance since the car has been used over 6-months.
I guess you asked because i stated for a little while above.
The car has been used for a little while, but above 6months hence i didn't bother searching for the VIN when it came to our shop since it will not be of any importance.

Regardless, you're doing a great job on here, keep it up.
