Please who knows where I can get an N900 phone ?

I met some guys from salesonline at Oregun but they said they could only get the locked version.

Got to Nokia place @Ikeja and was told that it has not been officially released in Naija and as such if I buy the imported copies in the market, I'l not have access to some functionality such as push mail cos Nokia doesn't support the phone in Nigeria yet.

and finally someone told me I can only pick up the phone from any of the telecom operators on a contract/postpaid basis. As in its not available for the regular prepaid market.




My ques is simply, what is the true situation of the N900 as regards the Nigerian market and if its available for regular prepaid phone users , where can I get it and how much ?

I'l appreciate responses cos I Need a new phone urgently

I think you can get it in nigeria but be very careful cos i use a N900 now but i bought it in USA and using the Lastest IPAD very sweet but just thinking hw to browse with it in Nigeria wen i come, N900 is a cute phone but i prefer N97 to N900, i use both now, Nokia have not relasesd too any application for N900,

Can anybody tel me the current price of n96 in slot.

Well, I get your point about the N900 and apps but the point is that talkin bout the 'machine' itself, the N900 is miles ahead of the N97 or any other phone. With 64GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, linux based OS, its unbelievable.

Am a developer myself and I see N900's lack of apps as sort of a challenge

I dont kno much bout the N96, its like its not that popular around here but the N97mini is 62K while the N97 is 72K

i'd love to get this n900 cos its specs are are unbelieveable but will wait a while until its officially availaible in naija. A machine of such class would take a very long time b5 it fizzle out.

Yeah mayb we shld start bombarding Nokia 2 release or unlock all features for Nigerians we r 1 of their biggest market, The phone's TIGHT!

Hey, anyone using internet service ( i.e. 3G services ) on the N900, I have one but dont know how to configure the settings. I use GLO network ! Please advise

insert your glo sim card on your nokia n900 phone and they ll send you settings save it
go to settings then scrol to internet connection select connection chose glo inernet and start browsing

dude...there are a lot of apps for the n900...do a search on google for "maemo community"...after that i think u have to install a hack called "rootsh" which will get you access to install web os applications on ur phone...i used the phone for a year till i gave it away and i had nothing less than 2hundred and sumthin movies and 24 3d games on it...
