Despite the economic recession, which started in Nigeria in 2016 and lingered till a greater part of 2017, Nige-rian telecoms subscribers across mobile networks still spent a huge chunk of their household income on telecoms services last year, New Telegraph investigations have revealed. According to findings, a whopping N3.208 trillion was expended by Nigerian subscribers as the estimated amount used to buy airtime credit to access voice and data services on their mobile devices across mobile network operators (MNOs). https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/02/nigerians-spent-n3-208trn-airtime-2017/ 1 Like

One needs to spend on anything to improve life example calls and data. People are paying to get first hand information to better themselves, since the world has gone electronic. Most importantly Nigerians pay more especially when the government is too inept and clueless in attending to their needs. Nigerians pay for almost everything, electricity, water, information, food, security. In fact the more we pay the more the government makes it even more difficult. In a good economy you pay less and gain more, enjoying the privileges of your motherland, not Nigeria. We dey suffer for everything, even to celebrate we must suffer..., Fuel scarcity continues to score hard trick while we pay for what is ours and paying more at that. 6 Likes |

I will rather not have food in my kitchen rather than not have data on my phone... Each time my data finish and I cant recharge... It will be as if I am thrown in a dark room, in a dark night yet with a dark clothe blind folding my face. The world has changed. Being online is being alive. So, the services of the Network providers is one of the Basic necessities of man. Sigmund Freud will agree with me if he is alive. 6 Likes |

It, s cheaper to load your phone with credit and make any business transaction call than to put fuel in you car and drive to meet your business partners with this administration, so recharge card will continue to sell more. 1 Like |

That doesn't count much pls,the crux of the matter is ...what do I spend my.data and recharge card o,as for me,I I spend 90% of my card and data on my business,I recharge my lines daily but on my business ,so it pays whether recession or not ,so my key pad (e -warrior) friends ,if all you do with your re charge and data is to come online and 'hi',"lol" etc then come rant insults on nairaland....then you dey waste your time resources and energy on D wrong things!! |
