Anybody can request the VIN for any vehicle here, this is a public forum and you've made a public advert.

If you wish to prevent VIN requests from members of this forum from being made,

1. Provide the VIN on the advert. If you have nothing to hide, what exactly do you stand to lose?

2. Advertise elsewhere.

As long as the VIN has been provided, and

-The Vehicle is not Flooded, and

-The Seller has not made any false claims about the vehicle, such as advertising an accidented vehicle as accident free,

Then it is up to interested parties to run their checks on the provided VIN.

To clarify, the VIN is not intended for me. It's intended for everyone else on this public forum you have chosen to make a public advert on.

You simply cannot make claims like 'Accident and Flood Free' and 'Original or Low Mileage' without the VIN to prove those claims.

It's illogical.

You've missed the point Sir.

The point was, and is, that claims of accident free, flood, etc only make sense when the VIN is provided alongside them.

This vehicle may or may not be accident and Flood free, but without the VIN provided on the advert those claims seem much less veritable.
