Nairalanders, I need help!
A man is promising me an HP 620 with the following specs:
intel core 2 duo,
320gb and a 4gb RAM
Wireless, webcam etc.
The problem is can I trust him with that price? I know it should be more expensive but he is quite confident of it.
Personally, I prefer Compaq Presario CQ series and the price - as at today of CQ57-202SA intel is N75000 with memory of 250gb n 2gb (priced in the computer village).
The Hp 620 beats the Presario hands down but is it possible to get it at that range?. Please help!

@imperial, actually it might be possible to do the 620 for you at that price cos of a few reasons

1. 620 is an old model, its been replaced by 630
2. this is most probably the main reason- the 620 of that specs itself should not sell that low but what happens in a lot of cases is that the machine originally came as DOS(as in windows pre-installed), they install windows on it and sel as is

but why go thru all that trouble when u can get a more recent hp 630 for close to that price, call me on 08095550003 for details

Check d Computer market, I have the Compaq presario CQ 56 that I just advertised there. I can't put details here due to forum rules

speaking from a laptop dealer point of view, My first reaction is that deal is too good to be true man. the 620 might have been replaced but its still highly sought after and often more expensive than the 630. moreover thats a high end 620 with a C2D processor and a massive 4G ram. that said, may be the seller needs cash and might be willing to sell below the cost price or point blank does not know what he's talking about. My advice? make sure you meet in person and the seller has a traceable address. regarding the cq57 i've got that machine in stock selling for 72k and yes its the newer model, it replaced the CQ56. 08035509811, 08057850048  for enquiries.

@imperial, the cq57 is a newer model but truth be told, Hp does lil or nothing to those systems other change the aesthetics and name, imagine a 620 having a higher specs than the more recent 630, just that the newer models would have a version that will carry the recent processor(core i processor in this case) but ordinarily the dual core is same as 620 with different look and specs, marleygab might be right from a laptop dealer point of view myself the 620 is much higher with a core 2 duo processor not even a dual core, meanwhile I just received stock of a much more recent model.HP 2000-410US with Intel Pentium dual core/4gb ram/500gb hdd/15.6"/webcam/w-lan/windows 7, I could also throw in an original hp bag for 85k
