Waiting till October? No way and you should know that We will start work as soon as the list is approved. Teachers are highly needed and there is no point waiting till new session when schools in Lagos are lacking teachers.

Today is Tuesday,I wish us a success in this lagos state teachers recruitments ooo.

GOD of mercy, show us ur mercy concerning dis lagos teaching job as today is day of mercy. Belief we will laugh soon.

The reason for the delay in our appointment has been on the issue of 60 per cent increament in salary which Lagos teachers are fighting for. As soon as this is resolved our list shall be pasted.these are Information from a top shot in the ministry. She further revealed that our list is still with the governor and it has not yet bEen signed as speculated by some people.
This is the truth of the matter.

I read it frm d newspaper(Daily Times) dis morn,NUT said dat more teachers are need both primary n secondary schools n askd state government 2 issue us our appointment letter so dat we can al resume 2ged nextwk.The 60% doesn't affect in delaying our letters,i guess.

Ur info is correct, d only issue delayin d list is d 60% salary increment. I confirmd dis frm a director in MOE.

NUT Lagos state chapter

The Lagos chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), on Tuesday urged the state government to urgently employ new teachers to fill the gap created by the retiring ones. It said the most affected were public schools.



The chairman, Mr Samson Kayode, disclosed this in an interview in Lagos. According to Kayode, inadequate teachers in the schools is worrisome and should be tackled promptly.

``I want to seize this opportunity to once again plead with the state government to accelerate efforts in recruiting teachers in our schools before the commencement of the new academic session.

“We are pleading with the government to give employment letters to teachers that were successful during the last recruitment exercise so that they can commence work immediately.

``We believe that for them to have scaled through means that they are capable and are qualified to fill the wide gap that has been created by the retiring teachers. A situation whereby we will be lacking teachers in our schools in the midst of plenty will not sound too good and might slow down government’s efforts in the repositioning of these schools,” he said.
