Advanced fee fraud I think means obtaining money for payment of an item that you have no intention of giving.

From the many complaints on this site it looks like at least one person from every home in Naija has been refused a visa at least once . And according to the petition request on the website www.rateoga.com one seems to get the impression that foreign embassies in Naija are intentionally luring people to spend money on impossible visa applications and making millions from this "business" to solve unemployment problem in their countries.

If you have been refused would you have applied if you had sufficient information from the embassies (especially British and US ) on the chances of your application succeeding ? . What do Nairalanders think ?

This is indeed a good topic.

I suspect 'National Assembly' has to create the new law to handle it. Otherwise, this issue of 'NON-REFUNDABLE' fee will amount to 419.

Each embassy has a quota of how many VISA they should give, so they know and delibrately allow more people to apply.

Conclusion:
VISA fee should be refundable in Nigeria, if you dont get it and they dont want to make it FREE.

Possible, since they know we Nigerians are very much bent on leaving the country at times. The embassies feel like corporate casinos.I felt touched at the British embassy the other day. This applicant well known by the security guards kept going back on the queue in order to avoid a particular visa officer.

It is like a fraud now aday, someone went for an interview at Lagos US embassy but to my surprise, they just stamp the passport "Visa Denied" without asking any question and they have collected their visa fees.

So if anyone need non appearance visa to these country France, Turkey, China, Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Uk, and Canada, but the Canada is not a non appearance, should get in touch abmartconsult1@yahoo.com or 08037647025
