Hitv Sport Analysts Are Plastics
« on: December 14, 2008, 09:46 PM »

HITV cant even get informed people to analyse the matches aired. The analysts  are always very boring and dont seem to get sport records right. They should spend big money and bring correct people to do analysis.Today's own was even worse, the lady that handled the Chelsea/west ham match was horrible.I wonder when we are going to look for excellence in whatever we do in this nation.

Cool i totally agree that these sports analysts are too plastic, but it is also important that HITV gets its feedback system right in terms of what people(viewers)think about these presenters and analysts.I have watched a presenter in delta state called the sportsmachine, men this guy is the bomb.so why cant HITV have him.these lagos ladies and guys are becoming too plastic.

I don't think plastic is the right term to use. Many of them are
true followers of the game.

Maybe the poster should say most of them are boring and not
articulate enough.

They all have their allegiances.
Bode is the only Aston Villa fan I know of in these parts
Deji Tinubu is Forest crazy. He mouns whenever they lose.
Deji Omtoyinbo is a United fan.

But they are impartial in their analysis. And they are informed.
Besides, they bring perspective to their analysis.

They are sources of info that you can die with.
Footie people is an understatement. They've been around

It;s obvious some of u guys have not seen better analysts than these people,no wonder u are heaping praises on mediocres, How many of you normally listen to their analysis during break time?If u have ever watched matches on SKYSPORTS before listening to people like ANDY GRAY,MARTIN TYLERS,JAMIE REDKNAPP etc, These are people that really know their onions and u would just be dying to listen to their views during the break. Not the yeye presenters like TEMISAN,one uninformed lady like this and and your Dejis etc.DO U EVEN COMPARE THEM WITH SUPERSPORTS ANALYSTS?

Re: Hitv Sport Analysts Are Plastics

We're talking about HiTV analysts here.
Skysports have been doing their thing since 92.
Martin Tyler is the Godfather of all statisticians. So no one is comparing them to anyone.
What we're saying is that of the Nigerian ones, those three stand out.

Tola is more like a backup when any one of the three is not around. But I hear he is the actual producer of the radio show.
Stop beefing,guy.They are good

Dude, me, die, to listen to Jamie Redknapp views?Huh(A scouser to the bone)
You must be kidding.
Abeg leave HITV analysts.
They do not claim to be the best, but they are giving us their best.
The two Dejis are good.
Very unbiased analysis.

Re: Hitv Sport Analysts Are Plastics

For me to take any analyst serious he must be able to analyse other leagues in Europe.

For Gods sake every mechanic and hairdresser in Lagos would analyse the EPL particularly Man Utd, Arsenal and

Chelsea but some so called seasoned Nigerian analysts cant differentiate between Borowski and Podolski Shocked Shocked Shocked.

I have heard some people claim the Jens Lehmann and Tomas Rosicky were made in Arsenal.

These Deji's mmight be mediocre compared to their counterparts in other country but i still think they are the

best we have in Nigeria!!!!

I'm a Liverpool fan and those guys don't know zilch about the club. All they keep repeating are 'Captain Fantastic' and Torres. Used to be ok but Its so frustrating now. Whenever they come up for analysis, I involuntarily reach for my iPod. . .

Need to do more research.

Its almost similar with DSTV analysts though. They keep making silly mistakes especially at Monday Night Football (which is a great show by the way).

Dayo,
The fact is that I've seen the two Dejis for years now,and so far, they are more than OK.

There are some wack analysts in HiTV,but not all of them are.
90 minutes is a show I hardly miss.
The Redknapps and co that one guy brought up don't matter to me as far as I am concerned because it's out of the scope of this discussion.

Shut your traps, dawg!!!  We are talking about soccer pundits in Nigeria, not SKYSPORTS.

Can Andy Gray analyse Globacom premier league?? Shame on em if they cannot do their stuffs better than Nigerians.
No one ever said the 2 DEJIs are the best in the world. All we are sayin they are not PLASTICS at what they do.
