Muki, let me explain it to you.

I saw the perf, i smelt it and i thought it was too strong
Yet I bought it
I put it on me the first day and i hated it
Yet when the second day rolled around, it was that perf i used.
Till today, i'm still using it and i still believe that it's too strong and i still hate that smell on me.

@mukina2,

it will take a bit of will power but u can do it. Except if you are ashmatic, then you may want to avoid perfumes. Some female perfumes still make me sneeze but its nothing compared to ten years back.

@j-girl, SJP has been in the market before Beyonce's perfume, except the true star one she did for Tommy Hilfiger

It's even true star. Diddy's unforgivable was really nice but now i'm just against celeb perfs. I think Armani, Ck, Guess, Estee Lauder, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger do more justice to perfs than celebs do.

walelead, what are you saying? I buy most of my perfs on my way to London (usually duty free shop) but you guys get all the perfumes first and get the best qualities.

 OMG!! Shocked
 Y'know u just confirmed one of my worst fears.I bought a Hugo Boss perf 'bout 3yrs ago 'because I'D heard so much 'bout it.Yeah it smelt really nice but wldn't linger for more than 30mins.To say I spent a fortune on it. Cry After about an hour of using it,I might as well have sprinkled pure water. Embarrassed Cry
 Thank God I haven't had a repeat of that misfortune but I haven't tried Hugo Boss ever since.

 Does anyone have tips on how one can avoid being conned like this?

Buy perfs from only trusted places. Even mall perfs are to be doubted. All those little ones with the carts might be sometimes good and sometimes not. But if you're going to buy them in malls, buy them from the big ones like Macy's or Foley's
