You don't have to worry about what's in style, all you need to do is go to get correct yankee style clothes from the classic shops, shades, bags, shoes, tank tops, sexy tops and you be fine.
My babe just returned from naija and she told me that she was looking fly as " a star" in that many naija babes just they wear tops/jeans, and don't forget to go home with straight hair and not braids so that you can stand out ok. bye girl.

From the little i know gypsy skirts and accessories are in.I don't what you call it there but i call it Vest tops,i mean the singlet-looking tops are in too.Boot-cut trousers,roll-up three quarter pants.Big bags,sometimes colourful and really big.Beaded accessories and stuff,

Most things you find reigning over there is basically whats in here.We even get the idea of the latest fads from those who just got back.I doubt u would go wrong as regards shopping.Even if what u get is not in you just might be introducing something new.

Sorry , l couldn't get back to ya early enough, sure don't mind them who said you would not stand out with your straight hair. ok, you want go home wiht braids. naija babes do million hair. am talking about buying correct hair here o not just any human hair. girl, get the right kind of (milky wave) 100% human hair and make sure a good hairdresser does it for you. you be fly because hair pass hair.
Concerning the clothes, l recommend you shopping for shades/shoes at (DSW warehouse ) they have the one in vogue there, for sexy tank tops ( don't go to shops like jcpenny or sear, nothing de there ) try hit stores like (gallows, forever 21 , victoria secrets,Rave, l mean all this nice stores at the mall that sell sexy tanks top, can't rememember all the names). Also, try shopping online for some tops too.
Girl, also don't worry about what people saying that naija this , naija girl that.
As long as you do as l said, you be looking fly girl am telling ya my friend just came back and she was like she was looking fly as in ( hair was straight and sexy, nice tank tops and u know this shorts reigning try get it. )

It all depends on your style "ma" dear, basically there is nothing out there that you won't find here in naija and this is for real face it, If you remember naija very well you should know that your people are very good imitators, the tank tops, the shots, the roll up 3/4 pants just name it and they have got it, therefore you can't dazzle us believe me, I do shuttle quite a lot so i know.
If you really want to dazzle and maybe stand out then i think they will be dazzled more if you dish out real designers' label and correct sunglasses with flawless make up and do it decently. people might expect you not to dress properly/decently just b/c you just came from akata, surprise them
The straight hair is cool if you can get real human hair and make it flat so you might be able to pull it up with , did you see the movie Gabrielle Union did with LL cool J, her hair was straight and wonderful ( the title is getting rid of eva or something not sure again).

The pictures sent in by disney, you can go ahead and deal but it's here the only differnce between yours and the ones here might be the label and that is if it is conspicious, This is naija you are talking about and when it comes to the rest of Africa we sure do beat them in trends.
just relax and be yourself after all you are coming home to see family not necessarily for a fashion parade. Abi no be so?
As for the "all star converse" stuff i never see am for here maybe you didn't get what your friend meant, chances are she meant that Nigerians immitate stars way of dressing.

@blacknbold, if I am not too late, I want to advise you not to listen to all this people, Dress S.U, I mean get a good turban, and tie it over your ears*tight*, make sure u wear a choking blouse that will leave no space for ''lookmans'' and a skirt that would drag some dust, a good high school shoe, or sandal. WOW, you look good that way , haba why are you shouting don't you know that if you don't dress that way(especially when you are coming from SWITZERLAND!  )people will say na "ashawo" you go do there, take my advise and save your self the, embarassment  |

@tflow you are right o i tell you the lat time i was in naija i was driving along this oshodi express and then i had a flat tyre  . i was like yes am in for it and because it was too hot i just wore a black bra and a netty top as in you sould see through thats how this danfo driver just packed behind me because i was blocking the main road he just came to my window and started clapping on my head , he was like "ASHAWO FOMUTII ASAWO , FI OYAN TII" For those of you that are igbo or don't understand it means you your breast push am , prostitute , use your breast push am , i was so ashamed , i just put my head down till my brother came to rescue me so tflow i feel you but thanks for yoru advise na heat go kill me @ disney really i will check it out asap |
