Kudos to all the wonderful beings here doling out knowledge. Please what is the difference between the 2007 mdx and the face lift 2010 models. Been looking at both vehicles and there is a significant price disparity between the two vehicles

V6 not fuel friendly that's a 2.5L engine I believe. Not too good for uber

Thanks boss. In your opinion do you think the upgrades justifies the price difference. There's atleast about ~1.5m difference from the two.

Do you know what errors they were prone to? Sorry for the jamb questions.

07-09 5speed trans 10 upwards 6 speed

Forged aluminum piston in 10 and better compression in engine though same 3.7L

Some other things like oil warning light, middle speaker issues etc. Facelift isn't only external some other additions were added I can't know all because I am not ASE certified

"Better" engine is relative. An engine can be better than others in some categories, and be less effective in other categories.

The 2007 XC90 only has 2 engine variants. 3.2l I6, and 4.4l V8. The T5 and T6 engines were eliminated for the XC90 after 2006. There's also the D5 engine for 2007, but that's a diesel engine and wasn't available in North America.

The 3.2l I6 is capable for the XC90, puts out 235 bhp and adequate torque, gets the vehicle up and moving reasonably well. The fuel efficiency is also adequate for its weight and is comparable to other models in that category.

The 4.4l V8 is the top engine for the 07 XC90. Puts out 311 bhp, impressive torque for its size, and is the engine of choice for the active driver. Naturally the expected worry would be fuel economy in a V8, however the difference in real world fuel economy between the V8 and the I6 is really not significant, under normal, average driving conditions in everyday commuting.

Slam on the V8 throttle however, and all that changes. The increased V8 performance naturally translates to increased fuel consumption and lower fuel economy. The same applies to the I6 in spirited driving, but less so.

A vehicle is much more than just its engine, of course.

The V8 engine comes in the top XC90 trims, and typically has the most available options. AWD, third row seating, rear AC setup, pop up display, headrest DVD displays, etc. If you're lucky and find the V8 Sport trim, it's the Holy grail for the 07. Had fine leather stitching, blue backlit dash gauges, sport 19" wheels, sport exhaust tips, and other V8 sport specific options.

The 3.2l I6 typically is available in FWD, may also have third row seating and the entertainment options.

Both trims are mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission from AISIN-WARNER, which does a relatively capable job. Certainly better than the earlier T5 and T6, the latter of which was a well known fiasco.

In summary, your priorities would determine which trim would be most suitable.

Do you get upset and triggered when random vehicles accelerate past you? The V8 is the engine for you.

Do you enjoy engine baritone? That deep hum that shows up during spirited driving? The V8 is the engine for you.

Do you pay more attention to smiles per gallon, at the expense of miles per gallon?

The V8 is the engine for you.

Do you often traverse poor, offroad inclined terrain? The Haldex AWD would do you some good, though it may not be the most powerful in its class.

The V8 is the engine for you.

That's a 4 cylinder engine not V6. What year? People use Mercedes Benz on Uber but you need to understand the dynamics.

See your life c230 V6 is a 2.5L V6 engine, he didn't say c230 kompressor grin

The Nissan should either be a Qashqi or Rogue. I would prefer Tucson then Santa Fe and lastly Rogue/Qashqi/Xtrail

You see how Kewtt owned up to his mistake and moved on? You should try that sometime. You occasionally post wrong info here, when people call you out you try to meander and wiggle out of taking responsibility.

You have a right to your opinion, I have accepted several times of making mistakes I am not a perfect being and I don't have all data off heart.

But I will take your advice and do better after all one can't have too many friends but too many enemies are bad

I went to inspect the car Honda CRV 2006 EX with 4WD
20w50 used as engine oil since imported 2016
Fan connected directly
owner use transmsision oil as power steering oil
water used as coolant, opened radiator cap, noticed a brownish stain on radiator cap and also looking into radiator.
interior looks ok, black leather, slight wear with age, AC works, door wind down but passenger side door window only works with button close to passenger door
exhaust tail pipe doesnt look oily dark, but noticed slight dark when you rub finger deep inside the exhaust
Saw the below code
Saw vsc code on dashboard

Can someone go ahead, what is a good price to start pricing from... Can things be revert back to normal grin
I will never understand why someone will pay money to import a car then immediately neglect routine maintenance. Should have just bought Naija used mmmcheww

Good morning. Please a friend is considering options between buying a brand new Hyundai Tucson Evolutiom and a Tokunbo Benz ML350 which has hit 70000km. He also said brand new Nissan Pathfinder is an option. Kindly help choose. In my opinion, I think a brand new car is always a better option leaving us with the Tucson vs Pathfinder but your comments will be well appreciated. Thank you.

yea I know just talking about year of production not generation Sir,guess the generation of that Camry is the 6th 07- 011 as against accords of 08-012,just considering the year model not the generation,I personally think there might be small modifications on year models despite being same Generation, just like the oil burning is said to be not common on 2011 model year as against 2007-2009 despite being same generation,so I personally will prefer the newer models of same generation(last model year),my personal preference anyway
