Are you sure you wrote your jamb in Nigeria. Because all I've been seeing on nairaland is jambites complaining and wailing of how jamb jammed them. Well your chances of medicine are over good with your score and o level combination but I honestly think you should change to a federal university. Their admission process is more transparent than that of state owned universities

If you're not an indigene, please avoid LASU medicine, it's worse than both Uniben and Unilag you've tried before. There are good schools your 302 can guarantee you at least 70% of being admitted

How good are my chances for Medicine and Surgery?

O'Level: 3B3 1C4 1C5

UTME: 302

Aggregate: 74.75%

I am not an indigene.

Also, does anyone have any idea of the past aggregate cut-offs for Medicine?
Or the aggregate of people you know who have been admitted to Lasu to study Medicine and Surgery

I really need to know, Thanks
Pls my son chose lasu . course is electronic / computer enginering. I need information on the 5 O level subject that will be used in calculating the aggregate score

@shawante

Yes I did
I personally don't know anyone with 280+ this year

I've tried federal universities twice, Unilag and Uniben with nearly the same jamb scores but I'm always a few points short of the aggregate due to post utme.

That's why I decided to pick Lasu

Besides I've also heard and I know from experience that Federal universities are worse. Everybody's saying connection, connection.

I don't know people.
well I won't concur with this your last paragraph because I personally graduated from a federal university. Unizik to be precise and I had no connection whatsoever. All I had to do was pass my jamb and post Utme and the cut-off.

My advice for you is to apply for a federal Uni that falls within your geo-political zone that way you will have more chances(if that's even necessary).

Otherwise I see no reason why you won't be accepted to any university in Nigeria this year considering your jamb score in correlation with the general low scores this year.

Btw what state are you from

If you have no connections to help you monitor it as well as not being an indigene, avoid Lasu.

You can try your state Uni.

Do not listen to what people are saying. With your score, Just choose lasu as your first or most preferred choice ( or whatever they call it these days), prepare for the post utme, get your documents ready, then congratulations in advance.

Prepare for which post utme?

LASU don't conduct post utme and are highly tribalistic with their admission, especially when it comes to professional courses. They even request LGA of origin along the line. The choice is hers sha

I don't know what the other three subjects would be but, English and Mathematics are the first two.

Jamb website has information about requirements for courses and the school. It's really helpful since it tells you if you're eligible or not.
Try checking the website, jamb.gov.ng
It should be under IBASS or something.

I'm from Ondo State.

Maybe I'll end up changing my institution, I still have time before this year's admission process starts.
