I decided to get back to drawing, well it's more so I have to relearn drawing as I've forgotten how to (which I've been doing), and to learn character modelling in blender while at it. As I have some freetime at the moment, I thought I'd reawaken my old hubby of drawing (characters) I unfortunately abandoned some years ago, when I was going through a stressful time and some conflicting doctrinal reasoning.

I'm already familiar with blender, started messing around with it around the time I was in SS1 when I wanted to learn animation, some of my old renders I've posted on NL of inanimate objects and sceneries.

Concept idea, a concept sketch.

I won't bore anyone with why I came up with this, but the gist of it is I like tech. And that is represented by the glasses looking thing on his head and the mech elements.
I apologize, but the style is anime.

My sense of fashion is rather poor.

Using the concept as a basis, I attempted to build the character.

The 3D modelling tutorials I'll be following are from a YouTuber by the name of Dikko, and this will serve as the reference.

I already made the head, separately, but I think I'll have to remake it as it will conflict with the current body.

Yea. some people can draw instinctively, whilat others like myself need to draw ovee and over nd over until we get it. Genes men. life no balance at all.

You can take it up as a hobby, you don't need to be good right away, instead to slowly build a skill for it overtime.

After procrastinating for a bit, I'm done with the head for the most part. The base model is mostly finished, I'll still need to add the teeth and tongue, and model the feet possibly.

Started playing around with shading.

sculpting head is one heck of a job. take time in sculpting the facial features it looks blank then use retopology to fine tune the flow. I also don't like texturing but you are doing good

increasing the subsurface color and light scattering could help try it out

While sculpting (which was a headache) I realized I don't know nearly enough about the structure of the human face let alone to have to adapt it to a stylized look.

Since the character is cartoony, a simple face will do, and I plan on adding some sci-fi stuff on it later down the line, to make it more interesting.

I like beginnings like this. Keep it up.

Sometimes I wish I can box model. It seems simple to do.

yeah study anatomy for artist it would help and for stylized look just check out other people's work and especially 2d artist or get 2d turn around to adapt it .

Everything would have been easier if could retrieve my old line, but the bastaerds said my line wasn't registered with my NIN. I had no way to reach you.

Been very busy, and trying out different things like learning digital art, and I was pretty much stressed out through last year, I forgot to keep this updated.

Anyway I've completed the body model, and redesigned the reference sheet to a digital drawing. As well as a concept drawing

Next steps are, texture painting and rigging.

Either you subscribe or you go on YouTube watch hundreds of videos on how to do that.
However, their are people who use the crack version.
