Hello room pls I need to ask:

- I am a graduate of BSc Political Science with a CGPA of 3.04. I want to study Masters degree. Pls is it true that Political Science does not guarantee Permanent residency in the near future in Australia?

- If true, which postgraduate course related to Political Science can I study and that has PR prospects and career prospects

Master of Social Work will give you rest of mind when you want to apply for PR. Go for it.

Hi active Minds
Please which school accepts HND for Master/premaster program in AUSTRALIA

The best you can get with your HND is BSc without honors (3 year programme with 1 year exemption).
It's only US and Canada that treat HND as the same with First Degree.

Please which school did you apply to and did you pay all the tuition fees before getting your admission and visa?

I applied to Griffith University. I got my admission already so I am done with my GTE stage, I am waiting for them to give me the go ahead to pay my initial tuition fee deposit

I have also considered this path too... Infact, Masters in Social Work is ten times more important than Political Science field in terms of job prospects. I'm also considering MA. Disability Studies too.

Hello Brother, please kindly advise an intending MSc applicant. Which type of MSc program is advisable for a student aiming to get graduate work visa and PR, is it MSc by research or MSc by course work?

My opinion -

2 things you need to consider

1. What is the duration of course work Vs research. If course work is 2 years, all good. If course work is 1.5 years, you will need to do research which is usually an additional semester. My point is check both of them and go with which ever one is 2 years full time study. This will help with getting graduate work visa

2. For PR, you need to work backwards from the skills assessment you are trying to get and then check to see if course work or research can get you there. Note that for some occupations, Masters alone will not be sufficient to get you a positive skills assessment.

Please I have a question for our colleagues in AU? Are there ATMs there that dispense USD rather than AUD?

I don't think so. I have never seen any.

Is there any reason why you will want USD cash? Money exchange agencies like Travelex can change your aud to USD and vice versa.

I don’t think you need to generate another. We got our biometrics and medical request mid November, but due to some challenges we were able to do it first week in January (dependent and spouse). Three weeks after approvals came in.

Please note that after lodging your application if biometrics is not done, your application won’t be looked at. Try do it as soon as you can.

GTE simply means Genuine Temporary Entrant.
So after I got my offer from Griffith University, the offer came with a questionnaire where I had to answer some questions which includes my marital status. So after filling the questionnaire they requested for other notarized documents which includes:
1. Bank Statement
2. Reference Letter from the financial Institution
3. Letter of Sponsorship
4. Affidavit of Sponsorship
5. Proof of Relationship
6. Current Employment Letter with Pay Slips
7. Proof of Financial Source of the Sponsor.
8. A recognised ID of the Sponsor.
.
So I've submitted the above documents and I'm patiently waiting for them to give me the go ahead to pay my initial tuition fee deposit.

Hello room
Please I need your opinion: I studied History in my undergrad (graduated last year)and ever since I graduated I’ve been working as a web developer cos I have IT skills and I plan on getting a masters degree in IT field but cos I’ve been denied a U.S visa couple times (not sure if the career change was the reason) I’m thinking of applying to International Relation and changing my program to IT when I get to Australia.

Here are my questions
1- Do you think not being consistent with my program would affect my visa success rate at Australia embassy? (I heard it’s possible for them to go through my U.S visa application and since I applied to computer science with the U.S )
2- Would you advise I add my IT experience to my visa application even though I’m going for International relations or I shouldn’t
3- which one is better, applying to something related to my undergrad degree or what I currently do (the IT job is with a start up company I co-founded and it’s doing fine).

I’d be happy to hear from you guys

4. Is Griffith university a regional university?

5. How much is your tuition fee and are you allowed to pay part tuition for the 1st semester or the whole semester?

Anyone used Keystone bank for form A to pay tuition recently?

My application has been stuck at ADB disbursement review going to two weeks now. I’ve been contacting the bank but still the same story that my application is being processed.

I want to make this payment as soon as possible. Please is there any bank with guarantee that I’ll be debited under a week?

Dear Semtu,

I think this is a general situation with form A now, the problem is not just applicable to only certain banks, as I was informed the issue is from CBN.
I’m currently having this same challenge, initially I applied using Stanbic bank, after 2 days it was still at ADB_reviewer. I was advised here to use Access bank that they are faster, which I did.
I cancelled the first application with Stanbic IBTC , applied again using Access bank, within 24 hours my application got to ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER, but what happened after that ? For two weeks now , ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER dey look me, I Dey look am too. I don call bank tire, everyday I’m calling access bank, I have gone to the bank severally on same matter but to no avail.
Though someone said is good to use a less popular bank or bank wey no too get customers for the application, but here you are complaining with Key stone bank, that’s to tell you how terrible the country is now. Maybe dem wan reduce the rate of JAPA.
My advise to you as I was advised too is——WAIT.

So sorry about this. First, contact the school via call to know why your GTE application was rejected. After that, send a mail to me, let's see if I can be of help. ECU approved mine in 2 days.

1. Honestly I don't know their reasons, my agent told me that they started requesting for that newly.

2. Star Hills Consult

3. My Admission took close to 6 months

4. Yes. Located in Gold Coast

5. 35,000 AUD yearly, 69,000 AUD for the total program, 3000 AUD initial tuition fee deposit
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Omonas035(f): 2:31am On Mar 16, 2022
I have been given an offer from Teesside university for Sept 2022 intake even though I haven't received my CAS yet. I have read a lot from people saying if you say you know someone in the UK, your visa can be rejected. In my circumstance, I have two children I am willing to take along as my dependants, my last child has a british passport because his Dad is British/Nigerian. He is permanently based in UK. My university location is 4 hours away from where he lives so we wont be staying together. We are not married.

Do I need to state that I know someone in UK?
Do I need to state that one of the children I'm taking along has a British passport?

I'm asking these questions because I've heard a situation where they can say you might not want to come back to Nigeria after your studies.

Please anyone who has gone through this situation should please enlighten me.

Thanks

Did you pay only 3k AUD?
I thought you will have to pay half of the tuition before admission will be given?

They didn't even give me the go ahead to pay, they declined my GTE documents. But my friend who also got an offer there paid 4313 AUD. 3000 AUD was the initial deposit while 1313 was for health insurance.
Note: You don't pay before the admission rather after the admission
